Chapter 15: Moving Truck

Today was the day their leases were up, the official move out date. Ludwig had contacted HetaSafe moving companies to carry the refrigerator and oven, along with a few other appliances, his clothing items, and pots and pans. Apparently Feliciano would have his own kitchen in the penthouse. His bedroom set would be put into storage to sell later.

Lovino and Arthur had to split the cost for a Heta-Haul truck. Lovino got to take the TV, his bed, chest of drawers and nightstand. He had packed all of his clothes the night before, but couldn't fit Arthur's, so a garbage bag had to suffice. Lovino packed Arthur's charging platform in a box with his phone charger.

Berwald didn't question him when he said he would be bringing an android with him, he just said ok and that was that. Ludwig would be picking up Feli and since neither himself or Arthur knew how to drive, Gilbert would be driving their Heta-Haul. Berwald lived about an hour out from NYC in Norwalk, Connecticut. He could commute back and forth to work, but it would take a while.

Feli hugged him so hard he almost snapped his spine in half, "Lovi I'm so proud of you." His voice was barely above a whisper, so breathless Lovino almost didn't hear it.

Lovino blinked, eyebrows furrowed, "For what? You just decided to say some shit because you're leaving huh?"

"No! You've found a place to stay! I know you're going to be ok!" Feli grinned, "I'm just happy you aren't stressing out anymore!" Feli bounced on his toes.

Oh, one less burden on him.

Lovino rolled his eyes, "Fine, whatever." Lovino could appreciate that Feli wasn't being a total ass today. Although, his place of residence was temporary.

Feli looked around him, "Where's Arthur? Don't tell me you're not taking him with you!"

"He's packed up in a storage bin. I don't want Gilbert snitching to your precious boyfriend that I've got him."

"I still think you should just talk to Kiku." Feli gave him a pout.

"Who asked you?"

Feli sighed but kept his mouth shut. They stood waiting for Ludwig and Gilbert to arrive. The movers had just left. Lovino cracked his knuckles, fidgeting, before he broke their silence.

"I love you Feli." For as much attention seeking bullshit Feli had done, intentionally or not, Feli had stuck by him when he easily could've left. He's kind of a terrible roommate, sure, but they tolerated each other's dysfunction.

Feli gave him a smile, not a brainless or manipulative smile, a real one that he could see in his eyes.

Ludwig and Gilbert showed up then. Gilbert got out of the car and switched places with Feli. Feli stuck his torso out of the car window as Ludwig started to drive away.

"Arrivedercii! Ti amo, Lovi!" Feli yelled before Ludwig yelled at him to get back in the car and pulled him back in. He was probably getting a lecture about car safety right now as the window was rolled back up.

Lovino pinched the bridge of his nose.

Gilbert let out a chuckle in his weird way as they stood watching them leave.

"Come on! I don't have all day, the awesome me is very busy." Gilbert led the way to the brightly colored truck with pizza, pasta, and the Italian flag printed all over it along with some Japanese written characters on them.

Gilbert got in and Lovino climbed into the passenger seat, the truck was high up, although it wasn't that big. Gilbert smirked, "You didn't need my help getting in did you?"

"Hell no, just drive will you?" Gilbert turned on the radio and started the ignition before they were off. Lovino rolled down the window, the AC was broken, he found out from fiddling with the knob just now.

Silence settled between them, only the song playing on the radio filled the space. Lovino briefly wished Arthur could be with him, just so he wouldn't have to deal with Gilbert by himself. If he knew how to fucking drive maybe they could've rode up here together.

"You know since Feli and Lud aren't going to be around much…don't be afraid to reach out to me. I'm usually busy but…whatever you need, I'll help." Gilbert said, breaking said silence.

Lovino furrowed his eyebrows, "They're not dead, my idiota of a brother better still fucking help me out."

"I know that. But you know how it is with married couples. It becomes all about them, only each other. We bachelors have to stick together." He let out another chuckle, that strange "kesese" sound he makes.

Lovino just looked at him, "What the hell are you talking about? I fucking hate you only slightly less than Ludwig. You think I'm desperate now?"

"Nein! I just, you know, everyone around us is settling down, which is totally lame! It's so stupid, soon they'll be talking about babies."

"I don't give a flying fuck about when you get married or anything like that."

"Exactly! We're still young! In our prime. Fuck the quarter life crisis!"

Gilbert is older than him, 32 or 33 or some shit like that.

Arthur must have made him more philosophical or some shit because it sounds like Gilbert's feeling like Ludwig, his younger brother, is doing better than him; and it's freaking him out. Lovino of course was used to feeling like that and accepted his role as royal fuck-up by being as bitter as possible about it.

"You're just going to have to accept Ludwig is just better than you and everyone else knows it. I'm not hanging out with you to boost your ego."

"What? Lud is not better than me! No one is! Although he's so accomplished, I'm proud of him." Gilbert furrowed his eyebrows, mouth in a frown, he was serious.

Ok maybe he'd just let Arthur do the philosophical shit because obviously he didn't know what Gilbert was saying at all.

Gilbert then glanced at him, giving him a cocky grin,"I just didn't want you to be lonely, that's all. And I know Lud would constantly try to say that I should be trying to settle down too, and I definitely don't want that."

Lovino pursed his lips, crossing his arms. "I don't want your company."

"Come on, let's grab a beer! I'm itching to tell you how Erzsé still hasn't found the stuff I stole off her desk when she went overseas."

"Erzsé?"

"You know, boss lady in a pantsuit? She can't fire me, so I mess with her a lot, she always looks like she's two seconds away from punching me though. Did you know I was in the same grade as her sister? Her sister and Antonio used to date for a little while in highschool, so I've got dirt on her too."

"How long have you been at the company?"

"A decade or so. I got Lud his job with a little help from Großvater."

Lovino furrowed his eyebrows as the gears started turning in his head.

"Yeah, sure. Let's go out and get drinks."

"Alright! Hell ja! We could go next weekend. I know of a good pub…" And then Lovino wasn't paying attention anymore as Gilbert kept talking.

Maybe Gilbert could tell him something about Kiku, he'd been working there for a while. Maybe he wouldn't have to talk to Ivan after all.

Lovino was sacrificing a lot for this bastard once again. He hated Gilbert, thought he was annoying as hell, but he could suck it up for an evening. The alcohol would help that's for sure.

Lovino frowned as he glanced out the window. Arthur better be fucking proud of him for thinking ahead.

He might even give me a kiss for being so damn smart.

Lovino could feel his cheeks burning, he willed the stupid thought away as they neared closer to Berwald's house.

00000

Berwald was a very tall, maybe even 6'7", intimidating-looking man. He was Swedish, with wheat blonde hair and cold yale blue eyes. He was a man of few words, and very helpful and kind.

Berwald offered to help him unload his things into his new room. Gilbert also offered to do so and Lovino let them. He lounged on the couch as they brought in his things. He texted Vladimir that he was getting settled in, the man sent him a thumbs up and a smiley face in reply. Berwald's couch was comfortable and he found himself dozing off.

Sometime later he was getting jabbed in the arm by something pointy, and he found himself staring up into Gilbert's scarlet irises.

"Lovi, the awesome me is going back to return your mover."

"Ok, arrivedercii or whatever." He waved him off and closed his eyes again. A moment or so later he was being poked again.

Gilbert was just staring at him, before he opened his arms and cocked his head to the side, "Hmm?"

"No." Lovino sat up and crossed his arms, "What part of 'I really don't like you' don't you understand?"

Gilbert wrapped his arms around him anyway, "Take care of yourself, ok?"

Lovino rolled his eyes, what happened to him ignoring him for Feli? Is it because their families would be blended soon? Fucking shit! He forgot about the fact he'd be seeing more of this fucker in the future because their brothers were getting married.

Gilbert gave him a tight squeeze before letting go. Then he made his exit, and thanked Berwald for some cinnamon buns he'd apparently given him. Lovino was then offered one as well, it being held a few inches from his face as Berwald joined him on the couch. Berwald scrunched himself up to the further end that Lovino's feet weren't next to. Lovino was taking up most of the couch space.

Lovino took the cinnamon bun, "Grazie." He took a bite, "You open another bakery out here?"

Berwald shook his head, "Hardware."

Berwald was good with his hands, Vladimir said Berwald taught him everything he knows. Lovino didn't know that translated to other things too.

Lovino nodded, "This is good, just how I remember." He didn't know he missed Berwald's sweets until having some again; it had only been a little over a year. The other man gave him a nod.

They settled into silence, which Lovino liked, everything felt slow moving and still out here. The trees certainly helped too.

"Where is your robot?"

"Oh, I put him in a bin. You want to see him or…?"

Berwald gave him a nod. "Hmm…Does he drink oil?"

"No, he runs on electricity, which is probably going to cause your bill to rise. But he'll pay for it, don't worry."

Berwald just stared at him. Lovino took one last bite of the cinnamon roll before swinging his legs over to the floor. Berwald got up and led him to his room. Lovino followed him, as he stepped inside where his bed sat, sheets and comforter tucked in, although his suitcase hadn't been unpacked nor had Arthur's clothes.

The bin Arthur was in was pushed over to a far corner of the room, away from the door. Lovino took off the lid to the bin and grabbed Arthur before hosting him over his shoulder. Berwald was looking at him from the doorway, he stepped aside, and Lovino carried Arthur back out into the living room.

Lovino stood him up, and Berwarld stood a ways back, gaze curious as Lovino pushed the on button near Arthur's collarbone.

A minute or so later his eyes glowed green, and he blinked. Arthur looked around, gaze landing on Lovino, "That's it then? How do you feel?"

"It hasn't kicked in yet. Gilbert just left."

"Well I hope it doesn't kick in in the middle of the night, and I'll have to rock you to sleep."

"As if! I wouldn't cry over something stupid like that. Who would want to be comforted by you anyway?" Lovino muttered, "Cold metal bitch."

To which the android clamped his nose, "Idiot!"

"Owww! Let go, you bastard!" Lovino tugged at the metal hand clamping his nose.

Berwald cleared his throat and Arthur immediately let go of him. Arthur walked over to the man who was still a short distance away. "Ah! You must be Berwald." Arthur held out his hand.

Berwald stared at the metallic hand outstretched in front of him.

A beat of silence passed before Berwald hesitantly grasped Arthur's hand to shake.

"My name is Arthur. Thank you for agreeing to house us both. Lovino has mentioned before that he used to work for you at the cafe before you…left for other pursuits." Arthur placed his hand back down at his side.

Berwald gave him a nod.

Lovino made his way over to them. Arthur seemed to start fidgeting under Berwald's continued gaze. He wiggled his fingers and tapped his feet.

"I wish you could taste his cinnamon rolls. They're to fucking die for."

"Oh really? I didn't know you actually baked the sweets in the…wait. You used to give out cake slices right?" He turned back to Berwald.

"Did I mention that to you?" Lovino furrowed his eyebrows.

"No no I remember…they were really good the few times I stopped in."

Berwald took a step back, his expression still stoic before pausing briefly to back up some more.

"You're creeping him out Arthur, shit you can't just say that without explaining."

"O-oh! Apologies, I don't know if you remember seeing someone who looked like me–"

"An actual person, not a robot." Lovino interjected.

"Right, it might've been a long time ago." At Berwald's continued stare he said, "You probably don't…it's fine. I just have his memories and he'd stopped by your cafe a few times, and the cake is really the only thing vivid in them and you giving them out of course."

There was a long pause, a long stretch of silence. Lovino could feel how thick the tension was.

"I'm going to make dinner, I will call for you when it is ready." Berwald said.

Lovino grabbed Arthur's arm, "Alright, I'll be in my room." He dragged the android with him.

Lovino shut the door to his bedroom and the android covered his face with his hands.

"Fuck! How did I make your former boss dislike me already?"

"It's a special talent you have," Lovino smirked.

"Sod off you twat," he said before flopping back onto Lovino's bed. "He probably thinks I'm fucking mental."

Lovino flopped back onto the space next to him. "Probably. But he needs time to get used to you and shit. There's not too many people he doesn't like. Don't worry about it." Lovino swung his dangling feet a little, resting his hands behind his head.

The android lowered his hands, and let out what sounded like a sigh. Then he turned to face him, meeting Lovino's gaze, hands sandwiched under his face.

"Back in the void, sometimes I'd try to imagine you were actually there, when I found out I could make people. Although I couldn't ever make you appear, your face was never clear."

"Uncanny valley shit right there if you could." Lovino's eyes were on the ceiling, and the light just above on the cream colored walls.

"It was odd because you were the only one, probably because he'd never met you before."

"I never really knew how that worked, so everything was related to the past? If it didn't happen to him in the past, you couldn't experience it?" Lovino turned to face him and copied his action, hands sandwiched under his cheek, their knees almost touching because Lovino had his bent.

Arthur sat up a bit and leaned against his elbows. "Exactly. Because essentially that's all I am, a remnant of the past…at least I was… until you came along."

Lovino averted his gaze down to the gray stripes of his comforter. "Eh, that was Feli's idea. I kind of just made everything worse, you really had no choice. Existential dread is one hell of a feeling."

"That's not true; I had a choice. I chose to move forward…to be here in this moment with you..." There was a shift in the mattress, a slight pressure.

Lovino looked up to meet the android's eyes, where his lips were mere inches from his own.

"Because I love you." He'd continued, his voice just above a whisper.

Lovino could feel warmth on his cheeks, his heart was beating rapidly in his chest as though it was trying to burst out of his rib cage.

"W-w-what?" Was all he could choke out.

There was a knock at the bedroom door, a low and rumbled, "Dinner," followed shortly after.

"I- I should probably go…uh eat…" Arthur moved away from him and Lovino got up and quickly left the room to join Berwald at the dinner table. He had a dining room; they sat across from each other at the heads of the table.

Berwald asked what he'd like to drink and he told the other man wine.

Lovino looked to see a few large dumplings on his plate. Lovino wrinkled his nose as he cut open the dumpling to see some meat. It reminded him of ravioli a bit and he took a bite. He noticed some jam-like sauce next to the dumplings on his plate. He looked over to see Berwald dipping his dumplings in the sauce.

"What's this?"

"Kroppkakor. Meat and potatoes." Berwald said as he continued to eat.

Lovino didn't try the sauce but ate all the dumplings on his plate. Only the sounds of clinking glass could be heard. Lovino sipped from his glass of wine. In the silence of their meal Lovino was fully able to process the fact that Arthur had just told him he loved him.

This was so much right now. Why would he say that? It was sudden, out of nowhere. It answered the question about if the android could feel romantic feelings, but holy shit Lovino didn't think the answer would actually be yes.

But Lovino didn't even know if he felt that way about him yet. Was he supposed to just say it back? But it wasn't like he didn't feel anything at all. It was just that he wanted to save 'I love you' for when he truly felt it…whenever that would be.

But saying nothing was worse. He wasn't going to fuck this up.

After dinner, while Berwald was putting away the leftovers and washing their dishes, Lovino went back to his room. He pushed the door open a bit harder than necessary, startling himself when the door knob bumped against the wall.

Arthur looked up from his place sitting on Lovino's bed, that copy of HetaTech Quarterly that Francis had sent him was in his lap.

"Did you put in a good word for me to your former boss?" He asked as Lovino stalked over to where he was.

Before Lovino lost his nerve he cupped the android's cheeks in his hands and dove down to press his lips against his. He squeezed his eyes shut. He was immediately shocked by the cold and the rush flowing through his veins before he pulled away. His pulse was pounding in his head as he shook off the two competing feelings of warmth and cold.

"U-uh?" Arthur blinked, seemingly stunned.

Lovino let a breath out of his nose, "I don't know how I feel yet, but I do like you, you know?" He placed his hands on his hips.

"I-I wasn't trying to pressure you into saying it back. Fuck I probably shouldn't have said anything!" Arthur's gaze diverted upward for a moment, "I was trying out…you know…saying how I feel, but I didn't mean to put you in a weird spot."

"No, no I didn't want you to think I didn't give a shit about you or worse that we should stick to being friends or whatever." Lovino shook his head.

"You didn't have to kiss me to tell me what you just told me." Arthur smirked at him.

Lovino felt his ears burn, and he averted his gaze to the still open door, which caused his entire face to warm up as he was pretty sure Berwald overheard the entire conversation.

Berwald appeared in the doorway briefly and grabbed the door knob to close it back, a light click sounded as it shut. Lovino could hear his footsteps as he retreated down the hallway.

"Bollocks, I forgot you left the door open."

To which Lovino felt lightheaded and proceeded to faint.

00000

A week later, Lovino told Arthur about his bar hangout with Gilbert tonight, and although he didn't say anything, Lovino could tell it irritated him.

He'd asked if it was risky to do so when Gilbert and Ludwig were so close relationship wise. Lovino dismissed that worry of his and called out the root of his irritation as jealousy.

To which Arthur denied that was true at all.

Lovino shrugged, a smug grin on his face, and promptly went outside to get into Gilbert's car.

The pub that Gilbert chose had a rather homely atmosphere, as it was just groups of friends casually talking, not taking shots and chugging beers like he had assumed.

"This place is kind of quiet, not like you at all."

They'd just sat down and ordered beers. Lovino would have ordered wine but felt he should at least try and kiss up to Gilbert. They were at a wooden table on bar stools that had backs. Lovino's feet dangled before he rested them on the foot rest. Their table was towards the middle of the restaurant.

"They have trivia nights on Tuesday! That's when the place really gets wild."

"Good thing it's not Tuesday."

"Ja I just wanted to chat, you know, boring scheisse." Gilbert shrugged, before he grinned. "I saw something interesting while I was moving your things into that Swedish guy's house."

"Who told you to go through my things you fucking pervert? Don't tell Antonio or your bastard brother about the tomato print underwear."

"H-huh?" Gilbert's cheeks were red. "No, I meant the robot you have. Kiku and Lud have been looking for that thing, all over, and you've had it this whole time." Gilbert chuckled, "It's hilarious."

Lovino stared at him, blinking.

"I've always thought it was a weird little project Kiku had, who knew Erzsé would like it too?"

"This was a fucking set up! I knew I shouldn't have come here." Lovino moved to get up, scooting his chair back.

"Nein! Wait! I really just wanted to hang out. Why are you getting upset?" Gilbert grabbed his wrist.

"They put you up to this, didn't they?"

"Who? About the robot? Nein, it's none of my business. They explicitly told me not to get involved because 'it's a delicate matter." He held up his fingers to do quotation marks, ultimately letting go of him.

Lovino furrowed his eyebrows.

"Seriously, I won't tell them if you don't want me to. I think it's good actually, Kiku's been working on that thing for years, so I've heard. I vaguely remember some asshole he was dating looked like that robot, and between you and me that's not healthy."

"Oh I didn't know the robot held some sort of sentimental value or some shit. I thought he made it based off of some TV show character."

"Well ja of course, it's been awhile but Kiku insisted they weren't together because he was a professional. And I think he was testing him for something, I never got the details, but awkwardly enough they weren't being as sneaky as they thought they were." To which Gilbert made a face of disgust and visibly shuddered.

"Well what happened to the guy, bad breakup? Did he die? I mean for Kiku to still be hung up on him." Lovino bit the inside of his cheek and thumped his fingers against the table.

"I was out with Ersé that day, we were meeting with some investors. Erzsé left Abel in charge, because she said that I was more charismatic than him, because of course I am. So, I don't know exactly what happened but Kiku had his lips sealed, a creepy thousand yard stare in his eyes. We were told the next day after the medical crew came out. They were scrambling around trying to lawyer up, and lock up anything that had to do with the guy. Because there was some kind of accident, and I really just had to see."

Their waitress placed down their beer mugs, frosted, and practically steaming. "Enjoy." She said with a grin as she gave them a nod and walked over to another table.

Gilbert lifted his mug to his lips as Lovino continued to stare at him, "You're not going to drink? I thought I left off at a natural point to pause."

Lovino let out a grunt and took a few gulps of the beer. He grimaced a bit but tried to flatten his mouth into a hard line, "Hurry up!"

"Easy, easy. We have time. I know my awesome storytelling skills have you on the edge of your seat but you have to be patient."

Lovino wanted to strangle Gilbert. He averted his gaze to a party of four who were clinking their glasses together near the far wall.

Ugh are we going to have to go on double dates with Feli and his potato eating bastard of a fiance? Gloves would definitely cover up his hands but the no drinking or eating thing would cause suspicion. An activity that didn't involve eating then…fuck we'd have to split off for lunch every time. Why did Ludwig have to be such a goody two shoes narc?

Fuck them, maybe Matthew and Alondra would be more fun.

"You must hate those people, understandable, because none of them are as awesome as my company alone."

Lovino was back to looking at Gilbert, "You gonna finish your story or what?"

"Ok. Ok! So as I was saying, I went down the elevator to the third floor, Erzsé was yelling at me to not touch anything while also sending in extra security. The third floor had been blocked off with tape, not the professional kind because the police hadn't been called yet. It hadn't been marked a crime scene yet. That machine was busted, fried, from too much power. A lever was broken, and a bit of glass was cracked. That was it, no blood."

"So…you're saying the machine malfunctioned?"

"I guess. They'd taken the guy by then, I thought I would've seen something gory. Ivan seemed to have even less patience for the guy than I did but apparently nothing interesting happened." Gilbert pouted.

Lovino furrowed his eyebrows, "You thought Ivan would've murdered him?"

"Don't blame me! It had been a long standing rumor that Ivan probably had people buried under his basement…And that's it, Kiku's not boyfriend was killed in an electrical machine malfunction accident…probably. And Kiku's been weird about it ever since. He really needs to move on."

Gilbert took a long sip of his beer.

Lovino took in that information, it was clear, but also hella shady and probably illegal. But it was time to throw in the towel. They couldn't pin an accident on them, that had already happened ten years ago, and it turned out in the company's favor.

"So, why are you keeping Kiku's robot anyway? Are you trying to prank him? Because it really is funny seeing him scramble around mapping out pawn shops that you might have gone to."

Gilbert chuckled then, putting a hand over his mouth.

"Didn't you say something about moving Hedervary's things around and her not noticing?"

"Oh ja!" And then Gilbert started talking about how he'd been staring at her desk for hours, bored. Lovino wasn't paying attention, just nodding when he assumed it was convenient.

When Lovino got back later that night, Berwald left a note saying there were leftover cinnamon rolls in the fridge and that Arthur had helped him make them.

Lovino didn't know how that happened but he wasn't going to question it as he got one from out of the fridge and went to his room.

He flopped onto the bed, face first, and fell asleep.

00000

It was an hour train ride from Norwalk, Connecticut to NYC. Arthur and himself took the same train, as Arthur stuck with his call center job. During the rides Lovino usually threw himself into reading about the essentials of farming, and the business side of maintaining one long term. He decided he wanted to do organic farming, which was a small market to break into. He'd checked out a few books from the public library to do so.

He was resting his head on Arthur's shoulder trying to keep his eyes open. He didn't like getting up two hours earlier for his commute. But at the very least he didn't have the morning shift.

When he walked in to work nothing seemed out of the ordinary, he told Vladimir about his living situation with Berwald and even brought him some cinnamon rolls.

Tolys was telling him about how his friend was going to perform a seance tonight. That was until Ludwig walked into the shop and said that he needed to talk to him on his break.

Lovino found Ludwig waiting for him outside the cafe on his break.

Lovino crossed his arms, "What do you want?"

Ludwig handed him an envelope, typed in fancy cursive script was his name.

"You couldn't have just given me this before my break? I thought you were smart."

"Nein, what I wanted to talk to you about isn't related to the engagement party invitation." Ludwig shook his head.

Lovino crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow, "What's going on? Feli in some kind of trouble you can't fix?"

"I know you have Kiku's prototype male android."

Fuck! Shit!

Lovino dropped to his knees, "Please! I'm too pretty to go to jail! I'm sorry, I know stealing is wrong! Don't let Hedervary kill me!" He clung to Ludwig's ankles.

"Lovino, get back up. I know there's a good reason why you took it, and why you don't want to give it back."

"Fucking Feli can't keep his damn mouth shut." Lovino grumbled as he got back up. He wiped rocks and whatever he'd just picked up from the ground off of his pants.

"That being said, it's not your property. You have by the end of the engagement party to return it, or I will tell Kiku you have it, and he will probably press charges before taking it by force."

"Damnit Ludwig we're about to be family! Don't you care?"

"Lovino, that android is not worth this much trouble. It's a machine. You don't want to ruin the rest of your life."

Of course Ludwig would say that, he doesn't believe in moral grey areas; everything was black and white in his world.

"Yeah, yeah I'll think it over."

Lovino went back into the cafe after that. Lovino got Mark's and Mercedes's orders mixed up: iced matcha latte and iced mocha mint latte.

His hands were shaking after he fixed the orders, Tolys pointed it out to him. He stared ahead, voices becoming muffled, distorted, garbled sounds.

There was nothing to think about. He would have to give Arthur back to Kiku. If he didn't, he would probably be charged as a felon and serve jail time which would hurt his career choices and Arthur would be taken from him anyway. It was a lose lose situation.

But fuck did he not want to do that at all. Would Kiku even understand what they had was special, something that couldn't be replicated, and allow him to keep him?

Probably fucking not.

A/N: Sweden makes an appearance! As a person big on dialogue, writing quiet characters is hard, but I think I'm doing ok with him.

That aside, whoo! They kissed!

Thank you for reading!
