At the cabin, Carlos is inconsolable and won't talk to his friends at all. The other guys start to get really worried about his behavior and how, in the number of days they've been at the cabin, it's gone up and down. They start to think of ways of why he's acting the way he is.

He goes upstairs to take a nap after taking Advil for migraine.

Back downstairs, the other boys decide it's time to take serious action to help out their buddy and gather in the living room to talk about what to do.

"Okay, emergency team meeting right now," Kendall announces in a serious tone, sitting on the couch and turning off the TV so they can focus. He looks at James and Logan extremely worried.

"I'm starting to think we should take Carlos to a doctor. This behavior of his is constantly changing and I'm really concerned about his mental health. I want our energetic, corn dog-loving buddy back. Any suggestions?" He asks

"I'm not sure anymore," James sighs sadly.

"Me too," Logan agreed.

"We've got to think of something," Kendall insists.

There's a knock on the door, he walks over to open it, and sees Alex looking really worried.

"Dude, what's wrong?" he says.

"I've got to talk to you guys about Carlos," The younger teen responds in a concerned responded.

"Why?" James asks.

"Because I know what's wrong with him," Alex replies sadly and walks inside.

"Earlier, when we were all carving pumpkins, I noticed there was a scratch on his hand. How did he get that? Looks like it was done by an animal." The younger teen says

"On our first day here, he came back terrified from jogging. He screamed that a stray dog attacked him. He insisted that it came from the nearby woods. We even searched for it the next day and found nothing. Ever since he got that injury he's been acting really strange, like being super fast and hearing things that we don't hear. He gets really angry to the point of having to be physically restrained. He drooled at the sight of bacon. He heard a raccoon dying and was convinced it had been attacked by the same stray dog. He peed outside like he lives in the wilderness. He told us he was marking his territory to avoid other evil dogs," Kendall thoroughly explains.

"Hmmm, interesting. This all makes sense now." Alex replies.

"Carlos is turning into a werewolf."

"That's a great joke dude! That cheered me up! It really did!," James laughs uncontrollably.

"I'm not joking. It's all true. I'm being serious. Please don't laugh. I'm trying to help your friend fight this curse," Alex says.

"Curse? Curses don't exist," Logan says, shaking his head disapprovingly.

"Maybe not in Los Angeles, but here in Evermore they're extremely common." Alex says

"Strange things happen here on Hallow's Eve. That wasn't a stray dog Carlos saw. It was a werewolf. In that werewolf is the soul of a teenager named Marcus Keener. Years ago he stayed in this exact cabin alone on a dare set up by his friends. The goal was to stay there all night without getting spooked and running away. If he could make it to Halloween morning, he would be called a warrior by his buddies, but something bad happened. He found a stray dog scratching at the front door and took pity on it. So he gave it food and water. When it started raining, he invited him inside. By that time in the sky, it was a full moon and the stray dog started to get aggressive when Marcus ran out of food for him. He attacked him and transformed into a large werewolf, then ran out of the cabin. Marcus was in so much shock he stayed exactly where he was and bandaged up his wound, but later on he began to feel different and started smashing up the furniture. He went on a rampage until his friends came back to check on him. They didn't know it was him because they saw his clothes shredded up on the floor. They ran off scared thinking he was missing. He tried to explain everything to them but couldn't speak that well. Ashamed and not knowing what to do, he ran off into the woods and lived there for the rest of his life," Alex explains, not leaving out any details.

"You're being absolutely serious?" Kendall says.

"Yes, I have no reason to lie to you." Alex said.

"Tonight at midnight he's going to transform."

"Why didn't he transform right away like Marcus did?" James asks.

"Because Marcus was 18, he was fully grown already." Alex replies.

"Carlos is only 16. His transformation is taking a lot longer to happen."

"You really need to stop this prank. Carlos isn't cursed and he isn't going to turn into a werewolf." Kendall says

"You've got to believe me, please," Alex says.

"He's in danger! He needs to be cured. If the townsfolk find out what happened to him, they're going to want to destroy him. Historically, the only way to save him is a silver bullet which would, um…kill him, but that's definitely not an option. There is another way but I'll need time," he says.
