Chapter 4: Blinded by Love
I was wrong. Unfortunately, that is often the case. Linky is my sweet little brother, but he's not completely pure either... What does it actually mean to be pure?
Many people call me an idiot. Hearing something like that hurts me, really. But there is one thing that makes me happy. My little brother encouraging me and telling me that I'm smart in my own way and shopping... those were two things, right?
Lately my Linky's words have been hurting me too. I always thought he was right in what he said to me, that I was smart in a special way. For example, I believed that I know what it means to love someone. I thought I loved everyone in my family, but I couldn't love Linky, at least not in the way he wanted. I thought his and my love is the same... maybe I'm thinking too much?
As I've gotten older, new looks have come to my attention. Looks that I don't like and don't want to notice. A lot of men give me these looks and scare me. Luckily, my older sister was able to explain what those looks meant. Lori was always able to explain everything to me, but now it's no longer possible. She has become different. This worries me… what was that about again?
As I've gotten older, new looks have come to my attention. Looks that I don't like and don't want to notice. A lot of men give me these looks and scare me. Luckily, my older sister was able to explain to me what those looks meant. Lori was always able to explain everything to me, but now it's no longer possible. She has become different. This worries me… what was that about again?
Exactly, the looks. After Lori explained everything to me, I honestly just found it disgusting. Men were starting to get disgusting. Not all of them, of course, but many, very many. There was at least one person who was always clean, he was pure. My Linky. I could always feel comfortable with him. I was able to recognize my own strength and always rely on his support. But the incident changed something... but what?
Linky must have changed. He became quieter, more reserved and more serious. You could say he grew up. But that's not why he's no longer the pure Linky I know. I still think about how painfully he watched that horrible kidnapper die...why should her death hurt him?
She was a bad woman. She hurt him, frightened him and defiled him. That's why her death shouldn't make him sad! But Linky was sad. I often had to rack my brains about it and slowly the answer emerged. She gave him something that no one has given Linky before. It was the love Linky wanted. This woman used his body and defiled it. Apparently Linky wanted that... I don't know if that's really the case. I don't want to burden Lori with my questions anymore. Shouldn't I do it... no, Linky has grown up and it's time for me too. That's why I want to do justice to his love. I want to give him love like he gave me. For Linky, for his love, I get dirty myself... that's what a big sister should do, right?
"From now on I will be your number one. My needs are always your top priority. Your gaze must always be on me. Be the best servant there can be."
After our white-haired servant took his queen's hand, he faced the consequences of his actions. However, his reckless thinking led to Lincoln voicing his concerns about the conditions.
"I don't know if I can do it."
"Haaa?" the girl in pink couldn't believe it. "Apparently you don't want to help your sisters after all. I thought that you had finally reflected on yourself or do you want to see us suffer?... I'm waiting for an answer Linco-"
Lola regretted it. She regretted causing her brother this pain. As she repeated the twisted logic in her head, she saw it. The servant, her older brother, cried. She made her brother cry. Because of the shock, she could no longer speak, but she could see. What particularly caught her attention were his eyes. They looked weak and tired. As if he no longer has any strength.
Since when have your eyes been like that?
Lola was aware of what her greed caused. She obtained a faithful servant, but at the same time caused him suffering. She had to do it to protect him, or so she thinks.
I'm sorry Lincy, but this is about your safety, please forgive me.
Even if Lola can't make his pain go away, she at least tries to reduce it.
I want to see strength in your eyes. Please let me help you a little bit.
"Lincy."
"I'm sorry Lola. I'm still far too selfish- "while Lincoln lost himself in his gloom once again, Lola had to do something. She grabbed him by the neck with both hands and pushed him down. On his knees he looked up at his queen. Lola lowered her head and looked at her servant. She smiled gently. No anger, nothing underhanded, pure love was found in the smile.
"I'm sorry Lincy." She started stroking his hair. "I was a little hard on you. I know that you love us. Nothing would make me believe otherwise. You don't mean us any harm." She looked into his eyes and Lola saw how broken he is right now. "You do so much for us, unfortunately I don't know what. Maybe one day you can tell me about it. But even without knowing it, I can thank you for it, thank you Lincoln." Lola doesn't know everything about him. This bothers her, but he needs her now. The questions will be asked later.
Her soothing voice, smile and aura. Lincoln needed this. Everything has been so difficult since the incident. The change was too quick for the young man. So much became a burden. He thought he didn't have the right. No right to complain. Doesn't have the right to be afraid. Doesn't have the right to cry. He wants so badly to cry.
"It's okay, let it out." Lola spoke these words with all her love. She spoke this gently into his ears while stroking his head. Her words reached the deepest level of his being, the soul of the white-haired man.
He has received the right for this moment. Now in this moment he was allowed to fulfil his wish. He cried. Cried like a baby. Showed no shame and cried. He held on tightly to his little sister. Lincoln doesn't want to be alone, not at this moment. Lola was happy to be able to help him a little. Out of respect, she looked forward so that her older brother wouldn't cry in front of her.
In this moment, Lincoln was loved.
"Are you ready, here I come!" a young girl shouted through the upper hallway. Nobody knows why she did it.
"The one and only, the incredible and unbelievable Lynn Jr. Loud!" The uncontrollable Lynn opened her door, ignored her roommate who wanted to read in peace in the room and looked into the hallway. It was the afternoon and time to recharge some energy after a good workout that she completed earlier in the garden. Unfortunately, only alone. She couldn't find her perfect workout partner all day.
"This weakling can't do anything with a body like that. Alone he will be kidnapped again, so he has to get stronger." Lynn's face turned a little red after she continued her soliloquy quietly, "or Lincoln will always have someone strong at his side..."
Lynn was at least able to reflect on herself enough to realize what she was actually saying. The sporty girl lives and thinks simply, that's how she has always gone through life. Lynn is strong, Lincoln is weak. He needs someone like her, otherwise he will be in danger again. She doesn't need to know more. She is so confident in her own strength that she believes Lisa's protective measures are nothing compared to hers.
"My perfect weakling."
Fate has been playing with the Louds for a while now. This moment seems to be no exception as her perfect brother came out of the pink devil's room.
Of course, this made our energetic Lynn happy "Hey Linc, where were you this morning-"
"How dare you scream through the house and disrupt my time with Lincy." A torturous voice for Lynn interrupted her conversation with her brother. The creature was so small that she didn't even notice it at first.
She's far too weak.
"And what are you doing here, shouldn't you be playing with your stuffed animals and leaving your brother alone?"
"Heh?" Lola was annoyed. "Just so you know, Lincy wants to spend time with me. It's a nice change from being your punching bag all the time." To reinforce her statement, she reached for her brother's hand.
"Lincoln, has she blackmailed you again?" Lynn asked playfully.
The atmosphere was different. It's strange. No, it's uncomfortable. Perhaps even threatening. Four eyes were looking at him. It was his sisters' eyes and suddenly they want an answer from him. As if he had to give a presentation in front of all the students and teachers in the entire school. No, it was even worse. Every word has a meaning, everything matters. Questions run through his mind, what should he say, what will lead to the best possible outcome. It's sad that he's so worried. It's just his sisters, his family...
In such a situation he would have been broken a few minutes ago, but now he has the strength again. Enough strength to be able to see his plan again. He will make his sisters happy.
I will make everyone happy.
With a fake smile, the young fool spoke, "Don't worry, Lynn. I just want to spend some time with Lola again." He analyses her face. Every movement, every twitch, every breath depends on what his next move is. He saw disappointment and envy-
I know what to say now.
"But it's a shame that we couldn't train together. This morning I didn't feel so well. But let's play basketball together again soon, okay?" Lincoln could see a smile on Lynn's face. Lies and empty promises were enough to make her happy again. He would have achieved his goal, but there was still something he had to say. An unhealthy hatred developed in Lincoln, a hatred of himself. "Unfortunately, I can't fully understand why you want me as a training partner. There are at least 40 people you can ask that are better suited as me hehe."
"Don't say that."
"Mhm?"
"DON'T SAY THAT!" Lynn was angry. "You are my training partner and no one else can replace you. Write that behind your ears, Lincoln Loud." As if she wanted to teach him a lesson, she points her finger at the surprised young man. But what turned her anger into a burning fire was the silence. Lincoln should answer and realize what he actually is. "Did you understand that?"
You are my perfect brother!
Lincoln couldn't understand.
What do you see? I don't get it. What could be so great about me? I am not what you see. I'm not fucking worth it.
But he couldn't tell her. He's already made her angry with his stupidity. The only solution now is to just play along. "Hahah, yes, I understand. I'll do my best at our next training session." He doesn't yet know why he laughed. Did he need it to convince Lynn or did he find Lynn's idea of him ridiculous. He doesn't know yet.
Lynn was happy. She doesn't care whether there was any truth in his somewhat too quick answer. She wants to believe him since he is perfect. "Good, never forget that you are my perfect training partner." Before she could make another mean comment to Lola, her stomach growled and she quickly realized what she actually wanted to do. "I need to eat something now. A fabulous athlete like me always must get her energy," said Lynn with an arrogant smile.
Even if she wants to believe him, she needs to tell him at least one last thing "Lincoln, please don't be so hard on you." Nothing more. No exaggeration or arrogant comments. Just what she thinks. The white-haired man didn't say anything and was looking at the ground. Lynn knows that she needs to talk with him about it but not now, not with this pink devil by his side.
With that the conversation ended. Lynn went downstairs to the kitchen to eat her well-earned snack. She was still a bit irritated though. She didn't like the picture of Lincoln and Lola next to each other. One thing was clear to Lynn, Lola wasn't right for him, she was far too weak...
The two of them stood there in the hallway. The white-haired man watched the athlete walk to the kitchen. The fact that his eyes were focused on Lynn pissed Lola off. To teach him a little lesson, she gave him a small kick on the foot.
"Ow, what was that about?" asked the fool.
"Your eyes should always be directed towards your queen." Saying it like that, with her envy evident, embarrassed her. She even had to turn her head away so her big brother wouldn't see her red face.
Lincoln already had no strength left. But he promised her something and this time he is keeping it. That's why he took the opportunity that Lola turned away from him and lifted her under her armpits. Lola was frightened and didn't know what was happening, but she quickly realized what her servant was planning. Lincoln lifted the little queen onto his shoulders. A little sister was on her big brother's shoulders. A beautiful image of two siblings was formed.
"A queen should always have a good view of her kingdom," said the young man playfully. The red color on her face may not have disappeared, but at least a small smile was forming. Together they looked down the stairs. "Never forget who your queen is, do you understand?" she spoke in a gentle voice hoping that her voice reaches his heart.
Lincoln almost had to laugh because he is asked so often if he understands something. It was clear to him that he still didn't understand enough. But he'll take care of this problem at another time, at least he hopes. "I'll do my best not to forget."
Lola calmly strokes his white hair. When she's so close to his hair, she can't help but stroke it. "Good, otherwise you will be tortured."
As if they were in their own world, they looked over their kingdom together. There were no worries, illnesses or wars. Just the two siblings and their world...
How long has it been since I simply had fun with Lola? How long has it been since I had fun with any of my sisters. I miss the old days... maybe everything could go back to the way it was. Maybe there is still hope and if hope is not dead yet, I will take it, I promise!
Empty promises…
"That looks, like, totes fun, can I join in?" were the words that woke them both up and almost caused the sibling tower to fall. But before that could happen, Lincoln got his little sister back on the ground.
"You lowly peasant, what right do you have to disturb me and my servant?"
"Lola, you don't say that to your siblings," Lincoln scolded his little sister with an evil look. He promised Lola that he would be by her side, but he won't let her hurt her sisters. "Apologize to Leni!"
Lola didn't like his reaction, but she understood his behaviour. So, she didn't say anything back. "I'm sorry Leni."
I'm only doing this for Lincy.
"No problem," she said with an innocent smile.
Leni didn't care about her little sister's behaviour right now. She had a goal in mind. And after talking to Luna for a bit and leaving her room, Leni's determination grew stronger.
Good thing Linky is here. Now I can ask him if heee… what did I want to ask again?
…
…
…
She wanted to ask him if he wanted to go to the mall with her.
Exactly!
"I'm not sure I really can." He honestly didn't have the strength for it.
"Pleassse Linky, I need to buy new clothes and I need totes your opinion on it." As she pleaded with her brother, she used her secret weapon, her pleading eyes.
"Don't look at me like that, ahhh," Lincoln had to stay strong, "why do you even need me?"
"That's a surprise," she said playfully.
Somehow this worried Lincoln. He actually wanted to reject her offer because of that, but before he could do that, a thought crossed his mind:
Be a good brother.
As if it was an order he had to obey, he spoke, "Okay, I'll accompany you-"
Shortly after he finished speaking, Lola tugged on his arm. He quickly became aware of what he had committed himself to. "But Lola has to come with me."
The fact that a sister came along didn't bother the innocent girl. This didn't change her plan. "With pleasure, then we have to hurry up, the bus is coming soon." Leni was also aware that she couldn't ask Lori to drive the group. Not in this condition.
Lana was looking for her brother. She searched and searched but couldn't find him. Is he hiding from her? Doesn't he like her? Does she stink? Is she annoying? Doesn't he need her? Doesn't he love her? After she couldn't find him herself, she had to bother her sisters with her question. The unfortunate sister who had the misfortune of being annoyed by Lana is big sister Lynn in the kitchen.
"Lynn, do you know where Lincoln is?"
"Hey Lana, I think he wanted to go to the shopping center with Leni and Lola, at least that's what I could hear from down here" said the sports fanatic and concentrated again on preparing her dish. Lana wasn't worth asking for more time from her sister.
The answer irritated the little girl. Why is her brother out with Lola again? Is she that much better than her? Did he want so badly to get away from here, far away from her?
As she asked herself these questions, she noticed how beautiful the knives in the kitchen were. They're so nice and sharp.
They soon reached the shopping mall by bus. Nothing major happened during the trip. Lincoln sat at the window and his little sister latched on to him. Leni sat quietly one row behind them and went over her plan again.
Because no one was having a conversation, the white-haired man was able to lose himself in his thoughts. He looked out the window. It was heavily cloudy, and no light shone through. Lincoln, in the midst of this dark world, looked far out. Very far, until the clouds disappeared in the distance. Worries were far away there.
Far away from here…
"Lincy, what are you looking at all the time?" asked the annoyed princess. Apparently she didn't like the brief neglect at all.
"Sorry, I was just wondering who could be prettier than you." He answers the question with a grin on his face.
"I know you're lying, but I'll answer your question anyway." Even though Lola knew Lincoln was trying to annoy her, she had to answer it. "There is no being in this world, no, in this universe, that more fabulous than me."
A small laugh could be heard behind them. A sweet and gentle laugh from Leni. Lincoln himself couldn't hold back his laughter anymore. The rest of the trip Lola was always red, like a tomato.
After finally making it through their journey, they entered the mall. But before Leni could continue with her plan, she noticed her stomach growling. Not just hers, apparently the stomachs of her two little siblings too. It was already afternoon and they hadn't eaten anything since this morning. Also Lincoln hadn't anything today.
Leni tried to suppress her hunger, but the little princess complained.
"A queen cannot carry out her duties in such a condition. That's why I demand that we eat something" spoke the girl in pink as she held her brother's hand tightly.
The fashion-conscious woman would like to carry out her plan as early as possible and responded kindly to the little one's command: "I'm totes hungry too, but could we like do that after shopping?"
"No, Lincoln is hungry too and wants to eat something first, right Lincy?" she asked her brother expectantly.
Once again the young hero was in a dilemma. He can only make one of his sisters happy right now. Before he racked his brains about it again, he followed through on his promise.
"Lola is right, let's eat something first. After that we'll still have plenty of time for you to do your shopping." It pained him to disappoint his sister. But the winner was extremely pleased that her servant was faithful to her.
Leni also noticed the joy that Lola radiated.
This is starting to annoy me. She sticks to Linky and forces him to agree with her. I don't really know why, but this makes me angry...
Leni quietly accepted the two's decision and together they went to a snack bar in the shopping mall.
While Lincoln and Lola chose a place to eat together, Leni orders the food. She wanted to be alone for a moment, away from Lola...
But after the two younger siblings found a seat, a new figure appeared.
The white-haired man was caught off guard. He sat down and relaxed. His senses could not detect the danger approaching from behind and he fell into its clutches. Two hands covered his eyes. Not only that, he noticed two breasts pressing against his head and he felt someone's breath against his ear. This all reminded him of a bad memory. He wanted to scream, to stand up in a panic and push the person away from him, but he stopped himself.
Calm down Lincoln! This isn't a kidnapping. We're in a public place, no one can hurt you... right? Come down. Come down. Come down!
But his heartbeat raised.
"Guess who I am?" heard the young man. Out of sheer panic, he couldn't quite place the voice and was silent for a moment.
"Oh come on, have you forgotten me already" the person asked.
"B-Becky right." He had to stutter.
"Bingo" she took her hands away but didn't leave him "we haven't seen each other for a long time. I already missed your white hair." She starts stroking his hair. Maybe he could handle his sisters' contact, they even calmed him down, but other people outside of his family only worry him. They make him panic inside.
"R-Right, unfortunately I haven't been out that much in a while." Lincoln didn't want to be rude and didn't say anything about her extreme physical contact.
"It's a shame, I'd really love to see one of your tricks again."
Lola also didn't like how she clung to him like a dirty insect. But she didn't have to do anything, someone else will take care of that.
"Otherwise Lincoln, how are you-, ah." She had to stop her conversation. She felt pain in her right shoulder. As if a strong beastie were grabbing her there. Pain that a normal person could never cause with their bare hands. But it wasn't a normal human...
"Le-Leni, that hurts."
Becky saw a face that she can no longer forget. This will shape even their nightmares. You could see it in Leni's face, the lust for murder. Becky wanted to get away from her, but she was glued to her place. Luckily Leni was kind enough to take her delicate hand off her shoulder.
"Hello Becky," she spoke with a devious smile, "it's nice to see you again."
"You too-" Leni didn't want to have a conversation and reached out to her.
She whispered softly in Becky's ear, "Watch what you're doing. You're scaring my helpless Linky. I would be very happy if you disappeared now. But please don't take it personally, okay? I just want my innocent bunny to be safe."
"Hello Becky," she spoke with a devious smile, "it's nice to see you again."
"You too-" Leni didn't want to have a superficial conversation and reached out to her.
She whispered softly in Becky's ear, "Watch what you're doing. You're scaring my helpless Linky. I would be very happy if you disappeared now. But please don't take it personally, okay? I just want my innocent bunny to be safe."
Becky couldn't move for fear. So Leni helped her and grabbed her head. "Didn't you hear me?" Becky began to understand that no one can steal Leni's prey.
"O-Okay guys I need to do something, so goodbye." And after some seconds she were already gone.
Lincoln and Lola were amazed. They didn't know what Leni said to her, but definitely nothing good. Before any of them could say anything, Leni turned to them. She looked at her little siblings with an ignorant and bright smile. "Apparently she still has something important to do. "Okay, let's eat now." She took the food that she previously placed on the table next to her and brought it to the table.
The two of them knew that they shouldn't ask any questions. And if they did, they wouldn't get an answer.
This event once again confirmed Leni's worldview. This world is dirty and only she is allowed to dirty her Linky. Soon her plan will be executed. But that also means that-
I myself will be like that. But I'll get dirty for you Lincoln. I'll get dirty to love you.
