Phase 15: Outpost Havoc
Elza is getting outside to equip her shotgun and new SMG to be geared up and head for the location. "I am out of the bunker and heading for the radio station. This place used to be an old military outpost used by the US military in World War 2 but it has long since been abandoned like the rest of this island," Elza said as she held onto her MPX to check the 35-round magazine and adjust the red dot sight.
"This place is so untouched yet there is a town here?" Rachel asked.
"It is a small town there, minding their own business," Elza said for her to move through the mountains for she went into another area with her hearing fauna in the background.
"Oh, I hope I don't see wolves or worse here," she thought as she continued forward as she went up the rocky path.
"Undertakers," she said as Elza got behind a rock to see the mutant soldiers patrolling the area. She sneaked through the area trying to avoid getting into a gunfight with the Undertakers.
She gets back behind a crate to have a trooper walking by for she grabs the mutant over the crate to slice its throat. She is going through the area picking off targets for Elza hides them in the snow to cover up her kills.
She pulls out her MPX to put rounds into the heads of nearby soldiers as she drops a magazine to reload another one. "I am getting close out of this area," she thought as a sniper was coming onto a ridge to see something in its scope.
The Undertaker makes grunting sounds on the radio as Elza braced herself for a fight for a grenade thrown in her direction. She rolls away from the blast kicking up snow into the air as she is putting rounds down range seeing more soldiers dropping face-first into the snow.
"Shit," Elza said as she is getting behind a rock to blind fire for a few soldiers to drop onto the snow.
The Undertaker Scout shoots a bullet to fly over Elza barely missing her head. The enemy sniper is reloading its AXMC sniper rifle.
Elza pops out of the rock to burst fire into the man's chest. The Undertaker holds its chest to fall off the cliff to crash into the snow with red coloring the ground around Elza.
"Better get out of here before more show up," Elza said as they went through a cave to see multiple soldiers were mauled and soaking in their blood. "A Bioweapon attack," she thought for she heard a large bear in the corner.
The beast gives out a roar that echoes within the cavern. "That poor thing is infected," she thought as she turned around to fire her weapon for the bullets were not slowing it down at all. Elza fires on the roof of the cave for he slides outside with the loose rocks to block the exit for it only will hold the bear for so long.
She switches to her shotgun to load up slugs for the debris being moved by the bear by tackling it using its full weight to slowly try to get to Elza.
"Eat this," she fires the full-powered slug to drive deep within the shoulder of the beast destroying it and making it limp. "That is a lot of meat to go through," she thought as she rolled away from the incoming paw of the infected bear.
"It must have gotten into a fight with one of the Ooze and eaten its rotten flesh. I will put you down," Elza feels empathy for the animal who is being taken over by the T-Abyss. She aims her KS7 to unload a few slugs into the head of the beast to see it stop moving killing it on the spot.
"Hopefully that animal can rest in peace," she said as she spotted the radio station down below. She walks down the rocky path towards the relay building.
"What a relief, hope we got here in time," she thought pulling out her MPX to brush off the snow from her weapon while putting the bullpup shotgun on her backpack.
She approaches the building to see a few Undertaker soldiers protecting it. "No problem," Elza said as she raised her weapon to swiftly take down the guards with quick yet precise headshots. "Done, now to wait for the others to come here," Elza said to go through the door to see its very cluttered inside.
"Guys, I am in a relay station with a big antenna on the top," Elza said on the radio.
"Cool, we can see you. We will be there in a bit," Jack said on the radio. Elza looks out to see her tall blond friend coming down the hill.
"Good to see you are okay," Rachel said to give her a big hug.
"Okay, stop it," Elza said as her huge chest pressed too hard onto her body.
"Sorry E," Rachel said as they heard a radio terminal coming online.
"Hello there DSO agents. Seems like you found the rat's hiding spot. I am Gwen, the commander of the Undertaker Units here on this lovely island of Haza. My units are coming to collect the rat, they will give you a warm welcome," Gwen said to cut off the line.
"Warm welcome, my ass," Jack said as they hear jeeps coming in.
"Here they come," Elza said as she used her MPX in hand to start firing her gun at the incoming vehicles.
"Get into positions guys," Rachel said as she used her DMR to see certain Jeeps with mounted turrets. She takes out the gunners to see them flop onto the snow.
Jack lobs a grenade round from the rifle's M320 to blast apart a jeep killing all the Undertakers inside. He tosses a sticky grenade to latch onto a jeep to make it explode leaving behind a flaming wreck.
An Undertaker grenadier lobs a grenade through the window as Rachel moves away for the grenade and sends out fragments of metal to hit her suit to bounce off it. "Thank goodness," Rachel said as she fired well-placed shots at the gunners to wipe them all out. Both Jack and Elza are peppering the enemies with bullets to take them down leaving a path of destruction behind.
"Seems like you managed to kill my soldiers but I will let the monsters deal with you. I will get the data later after he is dead," Gwen said as she remotely set off an alarm on a jeep to cause a bunch of noise drawing the attention of the Ooze and other Bioweapons in the area.
"Where is this guy at?" Rachel questioned as they heard the closet moving.
"What the hell is that?" Elza asked as she pulled out her auto pistol pointing at the closet.
"Better find out," Jack said going up to the closet to be beside it with his handgun at the ready as the girls nodded.
He unlocks the door for a bag and flops onto the ground bouncing around like crazy. He opens the bag to see a tall well-built man in his mid-30s with her mouth taped shut. "Hey, are you okay?" he asked to get rid of the tape slowly for the man is very happy to see you.
"Thank god, you came man. I thought I was a goner," the man said to get him into a bear hug with great strength.
"Okay, get a room you two," Rachel joked as the older man gets up to slap Jack's back in a friendly gesture.
"Sorry, I'm just happy to be alive. What is your name?" he asked.
"Jack Smith," he responded.
"I am Peter Mercer at your service. I was just helping out one of my friends but I got caught and put into this closet to be sent back to the research lab," he said as he looked over at Rachel to eye up and down her figure. "Oh, who are you, you seem well equipped for combat," he joked looking at her overly busty chest looking noticeable against her skintight bodysuit.
"My name is Rachel Foely and I have a boyfriend already right over there," she said as she pointed to Jack.
"Sorry Rachel, I get loose to a pretty face," Peter joked.
"I am like that too," Jack said lightly looking at Rachel as she blushed at this comment.
"Who is the other pretty lady?" Peter asked.
"I am Elza Walker, nice to meet you," Elza said.
"Thank to meet you all. Well seriously, good thing you came. It's my luck. You got my distress message," Peter said.
"Why do they want you?" Elza asked.
"Well, I used to work security at the main research center underneath the city for a while until the head researcher went nuts and began to clean house. Also, that crazy mayor used T-Abyss onto the city itself which leaked out onto the whole island," Peter said.
"Seriously, no wonder there are so many Oozes wandering around on the island," Rachel said.
"Wait a minute, you worked with the Connections?" Jack asked.
"Not on some deep level. I was just hired to do some security in the labs, nothing stressful until everything went batshit fast. Gwen is going after me for stealing some data from their Project Valkyrie. The pet project here," Peter said.
"Valkyrie?" Rachel asked.
"Yep, it's the successor to the Undertaker program. An army of female soldiers who will aid in governing the Overseer's new world," Peter said.
"The Overseer?" Jack asked.
"Yeah she is the one who gained control over the Connections a few years back and got it under her deep control," Peter said.
"I mean the Connections was a group that has a loose powerbase and now this person is getting it under their thumb. Very odd," Elza said.
"Did you say there is a hidden lab under the city?" Rachel asked.
"Yes, in fact, the lab and the town Redford used belonged to Umbrella back in the day before they collapsed. The town used to be an old mining town back in the day but Umbrella took it over in the 1980s. Making it a booming place to gather talent for their projects and now it's under the pocket of the Connections," Peter said as he went over to grab some weapons in the crates.
"Seems fitting with the Connections' founder being one of the founding Umbrella leaders," Peter said.
"Everything is weirdly connected," Rachel said. "What is the Valkyrie project?" she asked.
"A new generation of female cloned soldiers to serve the will of the goddess of the new world. That is what the mission statement is. Tougher, faster, and stronger than the Undertakers. That prototype bodysuit is a part of it, giving the user amazing protection against weapons holding off multiple shots from various small arms. Seems like it is incomplete, you are missing key parts to it," Peter said.
"Who is the clone?" Rachel asked as Peter pointed to her with everyone being surprised. "What me?" she asked looking dumbfounded.
"Yeah that weirdo Seung got your blood and they did some tests with it. There are some interesting results, you have certain genetic traits that would be important to give them enhanced abilities, without serious side effects," Peter said as Rachel looked on with disgust.
"Seriously, they are going to clone me to use for the Overseer's army. Wait a minute, my bodysuit is incomplete?" she asked.
"Yes, there are a few parts which will make it from formidable to ironclad. You will take multiple hits before you go down," Peter said as she brushed her suit.
"Well, I will not let these guys get away with cloning me and turning me into a weapon. Upgrades for my suit sounds pretty cool," Rachel said.
"Well, being Pollyanna as always," Elza said.
"I second that but that's what's great about her. She keeps going despite what happens," Jack said.
"Yeah, that's what makes her special," Elza said as Peter nods his head.
"Yes, you are going to need to find them. I have gotten a set on me when I was caught. They don't fit me but they do for you," Peter hands her a set of kneepads, shoulder pads, and elbow pads which are made of thicker special spider silk material.
Rachel put them onto the suit to see them fit like a glove and still feel very light and sleek. "Nice," she said feeling happy about this.
"Well, you are going to need it," he said as Peter grabbed his ACR 6.8 equipped with a Hybrid Sight and potato grip along with his MP-412 Rex revolver and M4 Super 90 shotgun.
They see a lot of Oozes coming their way towards the Radio station. "Oh crap, there is a lot of them," Elza said as Jack switches to his new UKM-2000M to head upstairs.
"Me and Jack will go upstairs. You two will hold down the floor here," Rachel said as the duo head up the stairs with Elza cocking her MPX.
"Let's do this," Elza said.
"There is a bunch of weapons here we can use to wipe them out," Peter said as Jack set up the bipod of his machine gun to begin unleashing waves of heavy rounds down onto the hordes of enemies. Rachel can see Chunk Oozes in the middle of groups to snipe them to trigger them to explode taking out groupings of Oozes.
Peter uses his ACR 6.8 to put rounds into the heads and torsos of Oozes to put them down to see Chunks exploding taking out groups of Oozes. Tricornes are on top of ridges to rain down bone arrows as Rachel takes a hit on the shoulder but the new shoulder pad blocks this to leave her unharmed.
"Nice one," she said as she wielded her gun to zoom in her scope to take a few Tricornes watching them turn into piles of grey goo. Jack is using his machine gun to take out more Oozes but he hears the gun click.
"Oh crap," he said as he begins to reload the gun to see there are more Ooze types like Arrowheads and Pincers.
"They are getting close to the building," Peter said as he switched to his M4 Super 90 shotgun to load in buckshot to spread pellets into the incoming monsters. The Pincers begin to break down the barriers trying to get inside while other Oozes slip through the vents to find a way inside the building.
"Oh shit," Elza turns around to see an Ooze bursting out of a vent to begin lunging at her. She dodges and fires her shotgun into its head to reduce it into a red mist to see it melt into the floor. More Ooze begins to appear inside to hear a big roar.
"What is that?" Jack questioned as he prepared his LMG to see a huge muscular Ooze appearing in the thinned-out crowd of Ooze. "Shit, a Brute," he said as he fires at the monster to shrug off his shots. The Brust grabs a jeep and tosses it at the station building leaving a big hole letting the Ooze slip inside.
"The ground level is not safe. We are heading upstairs," Elza said as Peter set up a trigger to activate several fire grenades across the floor.
"Want some flaming seafood?" Peter presses the trigger to let out blasts of flames to burn up lots of Oozes to melt away. He fires shells into Oozes remaining to see Rachel taking out Tricornes while Jack is pumping loads of heavy bullets to tear into the Oozes.
A few Pincers came in trying to use their spiked arms at the duo. Elza tosses a sticky grenade to latch onto the Pincer to unleash a big blast to blow them apart.
"Oh no, they are coming from the vents," Rachel said as she got grabbed by an Ooze but Jack used a Glock 40 to put rounds into its head to get it off Rachel. "Thanks, baby," she said as she used her auto pistol to shoot down the Ooze.
"No problem," Jack said as he turned the machine gun onto the incoming groups of Oozes to turn them into puddles of goo. They find the brute coming at them with its huge limbs trying to crush them.
"Gee, this guy will not quit," Peter said as they opened fire on the monster with their bullets and shells tearing into the beast's thick hide. They dodge and weave through its powerful blows smashing the satellite dish and destroying it.
Soon enough the overwhelming firepower brings down the Brute for all Oozes along with their subtypes are killed off. "Seems like we are rid of them but they will come back to the noise. Thanks for the save," Peter said.
"No problem sir, it's nice to have some help out here," Rachel said.
"Hey, Miss Busty. Got a payment for helping me," Peter hands them the third gate key.
"Oh really, where did you find this?" Rachel asked.
"Found it in that warehouse I raided. You guys got the two keys and we are going to the same place. I need a ride out of here to sell this data to secure my passage with the US government. What the Overseer is cooking is not good," Peter said.
"We can help you with that. We are special agents ordered by the President to look into the Connections," Rachel said.
"Oh, you are super agents. Just my luck, did you find one of my safehouses?" he asked.
"You mean the bunker in the mountain?" Rachel asked.
"Yep, that is the one. I have a bunch of those around the island. I use them to get the Undertakers off my tracks. Thankfully you are putting it to good. Well, I need to go see you later partners, I will give you intel when you need it," Peter said as he walked away with Rachel feeling happy about it.
"Goody, we found two keys in one day. Pretty good deal," Rachel said as she felt happy about her new parts for her sleek combat suit making her feel more badass than before.
"Yeah, let's get out of here before more Ooze shows up," Jack said as the girls nodded their heads to get out of there to manage to be almost halfway there to get to the city and the Connection's main lab complex.
