A few days went by for Holga and Pink as they lived in the Castle of Lions with Keith and the others but the thought of the Claw of Order showing up at any moment to ruin everything and put her new friends in danger haunted her every night and day. Kieth and the others noticed something was up with Holga but they did pry her on the topic and waited until she was ready for her to tell them what happened.
Finally on the fourth day, Holga knew she had to tell them before it was too late. So she gathered them in the main control room. "Alright Holga, we're all here, what did you wanna tell us?" Kieth asked.
"I-I...first...wanted to say thank you for letting Pink and I stay here...but..." Holga trailed off nervously fiddling her fingers, "it's dangerous for you guys..."
"Dangerous?" Vince echoed confused.
"Why?" Pidge questioned.
Holga deeply sighed, "How I got Pink...isn't a happy story...it was more forced than honor..." And Holga rely to them what happened to her five years ago.
Flashback
"Dadddy, what's that lion?" a 5 year old version of her asked pointing to the lion in the book.
"This Holga is the Pink Lion." her father replied. "Your Mommy and I just finished building it."
"Wow..." little Holga gasped. "What can it do?"
"Hehe, well the Government of Vesco wants to keep it a secret, but we can show you."
"Yeah!"
Her father and her mother lead to to the Hanger where the Pink Lion was stored. The Pink Lion resembled Voltron's Blue Lion in terms of appearance having light pink in place of blue but its capabilities were far more advanced thanks to the advanced technology of Vesco. Everywhere you looked, there were advanced technology, flying cards, hyper loops, teleportation devices and more. Governing all of this was the Claw of Order and they may have looked nice and appealing, but deep down they were very cruel and selfish. Wanting power for themselves and caring little about the people whom they should have called their subjects.
Whatever they wanted, they took it without question, killing people in cold blood for it. Greedy, tyrannical and power-hungry. Everyone was forced to act like they loved them so much, but their resistance was creating the one item that could hopefully disband the tyrannical government for good; the Pink Lion. The most powerful robotic Lion ever built.
Holga breathed in awe at the Pink Lion as the mechanics worked on fine tuning it to a T. "So this is the Pink Lion, Daddy?"
"Yes sweetheart and with it...we may finally be able to raise you in a land of peace and love." her mother nodded at little Holga whom grinned.
"Commander Richard, the Pink Lion is fully functional." a scientist called as he came over with the diagnostics of the Pink Lion. "Now all she needs is a pilot."
"Alright then, activate her." Richard, Holga's father, nodded and the scientist activated the Pink Lion. Her yellow eyes flashed awake and she roared before looking around the area, taken aback and confused seeing all these little figures around her face and around her body. The Pink Lion was given advanced intelligence making her sentient - able to choose for herself.
"Wow..." Little Holga breathed at the Pink Lion.
"Now we let Pink Lion choose its pilot." Richard smiled.
"I don't think so!" a voice spat harshly and everyone turned and saw the head of the Claw of Order General Levi and 40 of his armed mercenaries storming into the Hanger with their electrical nets raised. "So you thought you could actually make something that could take down the Claw of Order, huh?"
"Why not, you're tyrannical and we're sick of it." Richard spat back hissing.
General Levi snarled furiously before slowly marching towards Richard, Little Holga and her mother, Rena. "Well you won't have the power to take me down. All of you will suffer dearly for your treason to this planet as I destroy your precious little creation!"
"No! You can't hurt her!" Little Holga screamed and General Levi whirled at the girl with malicious lust.
"Oh...and who are you to say I can't?" Levi snarled before snatching Holga away from her parents. Richard and Rena tried to grab her back but they were pinned down by several of the merceries as Levi placed her hands on Haolga's small neck, squeezing it. "I'll just have to teach everyone again the fate that befalls those whom define me...by snapping your neck..."
"NO!" Holga's parents cried and Pink Lion suddenly roared with great anger and fury before she raised her giant claw and swatted Levi away from Holga, sending him crashing into the wall of the Hanger. The mercenaries turned their electric and EMP guns on her but, she was designed to be immune to such inventions and so roared and slashed the mercenaries, sending them into electrical systems and killing them.
From the tip of her tail came a powerful beam of light that blasted a group of five goons into ashes and from her mouth came fireballs of blue flame which sent others flying. Richard and Rena fought off the mercenaries holding them down as the Hanger began to come apart from Pink Lion's furious fighting. Holga screamed in fear and her parents rushed to her aid as she held them.
Pink Lion came over to the family of three and lowered her body to them, opening her mouth to let them inside her cockpit. "Inside, girls. Go." Richard urged just as Levi came to and snarled at the family of three!
"You're all dead! Dead!" Levi roared as he lunged at the Lion but Pink Lion closed her mouth, denying Levi access while the family of three came into the cockpit. "B-But who gets to drive her?" Ren asked looking at the key which would unlock Pink Lions potential. "She hasn't chosen anyone."
However, the key itself began to glow in a bright light before floating out of its key holder and into...Holga's hands...
Richard and Rena were shocked and surprise, "M-Me...?" Holga questioned surprised herself.
"She did react to Levi nearly killing you." Rena breathed before Levi slammed into the thick windshield of Pink Lion.
"You'll never get out of here alive!" Levi roared as large drones piloted by his force busted into the Hanger and began blasting the Pink Lion, intent on destroying her, catching the rest of the scientist and mechanic team in the crossfire. Some managed to escape with their lives.
Richard, Ren and Holga held on to each other inside, "Guess...we got no choice honey." Richard replied as she gently urged Holga into the seat. Pink Lion's control handles came up and Holga gently grabbed them, gulping already feeling butterflies in her stomach. All of this for a five year old to handle? Sure she worked with her father and mother time to time on looking at Pink Lion's schematics and such, but never anything like this.
The ground beneath Pink Lion began to crack and splinter from the constant drone fire, "O=Okay...h-here I go..."
Holga inserted the key into the control panel and it lit up, fully activated.
"You cannot escape!" Levi roared again but Holga pulled up on the controls and Pink Lion roared and flew up folding her legs and claws inward before barreling through the drones and out of the Hanger, only to be confronted by 300 more drones!
"Yikes...!" Holga yelped, scared while Levi looked amused.
Pink Lion roared definitely at the drones, refusing to give up her freedom and that of those inside of her cockpit to the tyrannical government.
"Looks like Pink still wants to fight, honey." Rena commented.
"We've got no choice..." Richard added.
Holga gulped again, "A-Alright girl...go for it!"
Pink Lion roared and Holga pushed the controls forwards and Pink Lion flew towards the armada of drones. Pink Lion fired her fireballs at the drones in their way while using her tail to slice the drones in the back as they were entering the Earth atmosphere. Richard and Rena held onto Holga's seat as the rocking motions inside as the Lion continued its breakout.
"Almost there honey!" Richard grunted.
"Come on, girl...come on..." Holga thought as Pink Lion kept pushing through with everything she had, showing the modifications were successful none the less. Finally, Pink narrowed her eyes at Levi whom was hanging on her muzzle before flinging him into outer space where he's face swelled up from the lack of oxygen and he exploded, dead and forever gone.
Pink Lion came to a slow rest in outer space as she turned and looked at the planet Vesco. "Well...Levi's dead...so...maybe the resistance will finally take over.." Rena breathed as she and Richard looked out the window.
"Maybe...but we'll see...take us to the safe planet." Richard replied.
"You heard my dad, Pink. Let's go girl." Holga urged and Pink Lion purred and flew off to another distant planet in with lush clearings and forests. This was their Safe Planet, where'd they gather supplies for whatever disaster befell them. Pink Lion landed and lowered her head and opened up her mouth letting the three out.
"So...what now...?" Holga asked her mother and father.
The pair looked at each other, "Well even with Vesco dead. They'll be remainders of both sides and Levi's side will no doubt look for revenge after this." Richard began sadly. "Pink Lion was a success and they'll come after all of us to get her."
"W-What are you saying?" Holga asked with tears developing in her eyes.
Rena and Richard bent down to their baby girl, "We have to separate honey...we can't stay together...its too dangerous if we do."
Holga's breath caught in her throat, "B-But who will take care of me...?"
Rena chuckled, "I've been teaching you how to survive since you could walk...I know you'll survive...and you'll have Pink Lion."
"But what about you and Daddy...I don't want to leave you..." Holga sobbed. Richard and Rena hugged their daughter tightly as she hugged them, heartbroken.
"I'm sorry honey, but we have to do this. This may or may not be forever, but..." Rena took out several necklaces from her pocket, "I designed these myself to help you keep in contact with us in case we ever got separated from each other. They are connected to your father and my own bracelets. You can talk to us, but not very often I'm afraid. Maybe twice a month to avoid detection."
Holga sniffed but she gently took the necklaces and nodded at her parents. Richard moved to a bush and pulled it apart, revealed a small pod big enough for him and Ren and stocked with supplies. Rena handed Holga the same luggage bag she had with her now.
"This bag will provide you with everything you'd need until its' safe. Never stop running." Rena advised her daughter before they all shared one last hug with each other.
Holga sniffed as she watched her parents enter the pod as it closed behind them. Richard and Rena turned and waved Holga goodbye as the pod slowly hovered in the air. Holga waved goodbye to her parents before the pod rocketed off into the galaxy, leaving Holga and Pink alone on the Safe Planet...thus beginning their own self exile from that day
End of Flashback
"Ever since then...Pink and I have been on the run from the Claw of Order." Holga began to conclude. "Richard...really wants Pink for himself so he can continue his tyranny rule..."
Kieth and the others were shocked and horrified at Holga's backstory, "What about your parents?" Larmina asked.
"I still contact them...but I can only do it once per month so Levi can't find them...or me." Holga answered sadly. "It's...really lonely but...there's no other choice."
"...Well, now there is for you Holga..." Kieth spoke up after a moment of silence.
"Huh?" Holga asked.
"We'll help you fight this Claw of Order, duh." Hunk smiled.
"B-But..." Holga stammered.
"Holga, you, Pink and your parents can't keep running away from Levi for the rest of your lives." Allura gently lectured Holga. "You've had Pink for five years so you must have learned about her offensive and defensive capabilities. With our training, you can learn to fight against them and disband them. Making your future safe for you and your parents and for Pink."
Holga stared at Allura for a moment before she gazed as Lance and the others whom nodded at her, wanting and ready to fight by her side when needed. Holga felt a wave of relief and slight astonishment they'd help her out just like that, despite barely knowing her and Pink at all.
"O-Okay..." Holga breathed wanting to fighting the Claw of Order whom kept her scared and on the run for the past 5 years. "I-I wanna fight...t-together..."
