A year after Apep's defeat, Xena and Gabrielle were in a meeting at Gabrielle's new office in the heart of New York City.
"How does it feel being the go between for humans and the mythics?" asked Xena who was sitting on the corner of Gabrielle's desk while Gabrielle sat in a chair behind it.
"At times it feels crazy and others exciting," said Gabrielle.
"Things are even starting to calm down around here," she said with a smile.
"You just had to say it," said Xena as she noticed Z rushing toward them through the office's glass wall.
"A group of minotaurs are fighting in Time Square, the police want Xena on the scene to help break them up," said Z while sticking her head in through the doorway.
"Sorry," said Gabrielle with a remorseful expression to Xena.
"We'll see how sorry you are when we get home later tonight," said Xena with a smile.
"And remember that we have to go see my parents tomorrow, Lina also wants some time out to talk with them too," she said while heading for the door.
"I haven't forgotten," said Gabrielle.
