With his sword gone, he had wondered what the Yiga did with it. It had angered him because he had held the sword as a gift, and in high regard. He had prayed that they didn't just toss it in a river and have it perish. It made him more sick to his stomach than he already was, making him realize how many times he had almost threw up his guts on the horse he had freed. His cheek burned, and his shoulder had been wounded. He barely managed to escape from the fight, and he was still somewhat intoxicated.

What the hell is happening? He thought, the horse bobbling him up and down with every single gallop of speed; he had been breezing through the dir roads of Hyrule.

He had kicked the horse, bolting with speed and leaving the injured/dead Yiga assassins behind. The fear still lingered inside of him watching the soldier's face contort into an evil grin. As if he were staring a demon down. He shook the thoughts away, as the entrance to Castle Town had neared.

The horse bolted with speed Everett didn't realize a horse could produce, it had sped it way all down the curves of the dirt roads of Hyrule before the could see the castle in the distance begin to near. He could feel the alcohol swishing through his stomach, making him feel uneasy.

The world had almost seemed to spin when he finally puked out all the unwanted liquids his stomach was producing. He had lazily fallen off the horse, landing flat on his back onto the hard dirt ground. He had be on all fours, his spit almost drooling to the ground. This certainly wasn't a time to be drunk.

He had groaned, before he got up and back on the horse. Castle Town had only been about a hundred yards away, and he can't waste anymore time when the kingdom was in danger. He had kicked at the horses side, feeling his body zip back when the horse bolted into high speed again.

Finally seeing the town entrance, he saw the two dead guards that lifelessly laid onto the dirt ground. He grimaced. Who has done this? Everett swung his leg over the horse, plopping down with a thud. He had touched his cheek, a bit of blood stained his hand before he wiped it off on his pant leg. He rolled his stabbed shoulder, which he had ripped some of his shirt off and used it as a tourniquet to stop the bleeding from his wound. He felt his blood gradually deep into the ripped cloth, soaking it on his shoulder. He couldn't remember the last time he didn't have the feeling of a adrenaline pumping through his body like a drug, blood stained on him. His hand still colored red with that assassins blood.

His thoughts snapped when the sounds of screaming had tumbled through his eardrums. He looked up, seeing three figures in the distance hastily making their way towards him, it had been two women and a small child. A boy. No more than five years old. Two assassins had been chasing them, high on their tail. And the woman carrying the child was lagging behind the one in front of her. Everett took action.

He had gripped the blade he had acquired from the dead members who tried to kill him, before digging in his pocket for the three other blades. Running full speed ahead towards the woman, he had placed them around his finger, feeling them lock in place as he was ready to throw them. He didn't get the chance when there was an interference.

A gust of wind had pushed him back, and two arrows had been expertly placed in the head of the Yiga members, who had dropped dead instantly. The three citizens had ran up to him, backing up slowing behind him. He knew whose work it was, and he could feel a sudden thud behind him.

The three citizens yelped, practically jumping in front of his view, he didn't have to turn his back to know it it is.

"Well well," the familiar cocky voice spoke. "You've looked like you've had a bad day."

Everett sighed, before he turned around to face none other than a small smirk from Revali. He had his bow strapped neatly to his back, which looked like an upgraded one from the last one Everett broke. He didn't have any of the visible bruises or injuries in the aftermath of the fight, which Everett had forgotten that it had almost been a month since their encounter. Revali scoffed, before he had made his way closer to Everett. His neat appearance compared to Everett's disheveled.

He looked past Everett's shoulder towards the skating citizens, before he signaled his head to the left. "There's a military base just north of here. A mile on foot, make haste. They're taking in any survivors."

They nodded, running off into the open distance of the field. Leaving Everett and Revali's vicinity before the warriors merely glaring at each other. Revali held his head high with another scoff before he walked past him.

"You and I will need to secure the town. Find anymore hostages." He simply said, his voice now stern instead of the cockiness that usually dropped from his beak. "There are archers all over the roofs, and some Yiga members in the town. I've seen some hostages, but I have yet to see where they've taken them."

Everett turned to face him. "The others, where are they?"

Revali looked over his shoulder, merely glanced at him. "They are currently securing the castle with the Princess within their protection. They're conceiving a plan to take back the village, waiting for me to give them the go ahead once we've cleared all the archers. We're certain that they're planning another attack."

"And you? Why'd they send you of all people?" Everett clutched the blade. Still remembering their first ordeal.

"I was sent here to find your body, had you been killed. But I'm impressed to see that you survived."

Everett chuckled, now walking towards Revali. "If you think some goofy foot ninjas are going to kill me, throw my body in the ocean afterwards will you?"

Revali smirked. "With pleasure."

"Got a plan, smartass?"

The two peered into the entrance of the town, which bodies of knights and assassin laid. Everett grimaced, he still couldn't stand killing or seeing dead bodies careless laid in front of him, mutilated. He didn't know how he had it in him to kill living people half the time, but he was defending himself. And fighting here, isn't anything like fighting back at home. Minus the mysterious skills he possesses.

Revali pointed towards a Yiga member that had been posted on a roof of a building, the oblivious man had been too busy shadow boxing. As if we're too prepare for a fighting match. Everett had put his hand in his palm. How did they take this dudes so seriously?

"I've count four archers around the village, standing on roofs. It'll be impossible to free hostages with them up there." Revali explained, he had expertly flipped out his bow, positioning himself in a stance to shoot it. He aimed it at the masked man, who had been moving around quite a bit for a clean shot. "But with my superior skill..."

He let the arrow go, and it had hit the man straight in the neck. He gurgled, and grabbed at the arrow before he had fallen off the roof completely. Disappearing from sight. Revali had scoffed before he had put the bow back. "And with my support, I should be able to clear them out for you. That is of course, you'll need my help."

"Don't push your luck, Revali." Everett warned, earning a small chuckle of arrogance from the Rito. He had rolled his shoulder with a grimace again. "I'm already running on short fumes today."

"I merely jest." Revali said with that smug grin. "After all, I do remember you trying to crush me with a carriage size boulder and broke a bow gifted to me as a child."

Everett scoffed. "Wouldn't have happened if you didn't shoot bomb arrows at me." A silence had fallen upon them, and Everett saw Revali eye him suspicious making him shift uncomfortable. "What?" Everett asked, feeling annoyance just looking at the rito.

"Have you been drinking?"

"Didn't exactly expect to have an assassination attempt on me." Everett defended himself.

"How asinine," he groaned, before putting his feathered hand over his face. "How impaired are you? I certainly hope it will not affect-"

"Man, will you quit it?" Everett breathed out, exasperated. "Any signs of impairment I had, got left with the four now dead Yiga members who tried to kill me. Are you done? Are you ready to save the village, or are you gonna keep throwing shots at me?"

He saw the bird smirk, before they turned their attention back towards the village.

"Just take out any Yiga you see. I'll cover the rooftops, make sure I kill them all." Revali said, there was no resistance from Everett who had simply nodded his head, and watched Revali fly off into the air.

"Great."

Everett had eased his way slowly into the town, taking cover behind a broken wagon that held pieces of food and water in it. He had spotted another Yiga who was standing on the rooftop, bow in hand. A minute had flown by, and Everett could feel himself get impatient.

Another Yiga had came out from a street corner, surprising him. He had looked up to the roof again, the archer was still there.

"Come on, any day would be nice now Revali." A few moments later, and the archer had dropped dead with an arrow clean through his head. Everett had huffed, before he had quietly stalked the oblivious Yiga member that had been patrolling the streets. He had his back turned on him, seemingly fiddling with his weapon. Everett had quietly made his way towards the turned assassin.

In a flash he quickly grabbed the Yiga, snaking his arm around his throat before stabbing the smal blade into his chest a few times to see him lie limp in Everett's grasp. He had dropped his much longer blade, and Everett made sure to scoop it up before he dumped his body into the nearby alley. He cringed, blood had already stand his hand and he just got more on it. He feels like a monster.

He dropped the limp body onto the concrete, before he had slowly crept out of the alley. He had seen Revali flapping in the air in the distance, he had pointed in the direction to follow with his head, and swiftly flew off. Everett had slowly made his way to the vantage point where Revali pointed out. He slowly peeled from a building to see another Yiga clan member on the rooftop. Last one.

Another enemy had been patrolling the area, only this one looked different. He was taller, more bulkier than the usually lanky ninjas. He was a couple inches taller than Everett. Strapped to his back, was a very long blade encased in fur. He cursed himself. For being stuck in a video game; it quite had it's video game tendencies. Everett looked back up to the roof just in time to thee the final archer drop dead with two arrows placed expertly in his chest.

He exhaled, before he began to creep on the Yiga member. His back faced towards Everett, he had fiddled with the newly acquired blade. He was almost there when he heard a dark laughter.

"Did you truly think you could sneak up on me?" A deep voice had rumbled through his eardrums. In an instant the muscular Yiga member had disappeared into thin air. Everett had frantically looked around, holding the blade up.

"Show yourself." Everett egged on. "Don't be a coward." A laugh had been let out, before Everett felt the ground cracking under him. He had been thrown into the air slightly before he came crashing down into the rough concrete. He had groaned, letting his senses come back together. He had rolled over on his stomach to the see the Yiga member on his feet with his arms crossed.

Everett had snatched blade from the ground, and charged. He had leaped slightly to stab the assassin but he had vanished. The action made Everett lose his footing and land flat on his face. He heard a slight sound, and quickly scrambled into a stance. He snapped his body around, to face the Yiga. He was at a distance but had the long blade held over his head, ready to swing.

Everet couldn't react to the sudden force that had knocked him back, and into a fruit stand. It had been obliterated by Everett's impact and had completely fallen ontop of him.

The fuck was that? Everett had been breathing heavily under all the rubble, before he attempted to get up. He had threw pieces of the debris off his body, attempting a stance. The blades man had still at the sword in his grasp, both hands gripped on the longblade. It'd be nice to have his sword.

The man raised the blade fast, and a force of wind had made its way toward him. Everett had rolled to the side, watching the force split a hole into the building behind him. His eyes widened, before he laid eyes upon the assassin.

The Yiga smirked. "So you're the kingdom's dog everyone been talking about?" He has inched closer to Everett, who had felt blood dripping from a wound in his cheek. He had been just healing from the hinox fight, he never seemed to have a peaceful day pass by here. A shoulder shrug from the man had made Everett furrow his brows. "This will be fun."

Everett had dodged the next wind swing the Yiga had heaved from the blade. Everett held his sword high, readying himself from the man dashing furiously at him. The man had bought the sword down from behind his head. Everett used the blade to block it, before blocking another blow that almost chopped his neck in half.

The blades man had jumped a few feet back, but wasn't ready for Everett to follow his every move. He had managed to cut into the Yiga brute's thigh. He had felt a sharp fist connect with his jaw, making him stumble back. The man had sharply sliced Everett's tonight, earning a cry.

Everett had felt his vision blur with yellow, but it was interrupted with a swift kick to his jaw sending him back a few feet. He had crashed into the wall of a building, sliding down. His vision felt disorientated, like the alcohol in his system had finally caught up to him. He had attempting to get up, but was nabbed by a strong hand and violently shoved back into the wall. The strong hand had been placed around his throat, squeezing tightly.

"I was hoping you'd be a challenge," the man sounded disappointed, before pulling out a large blade; expertly flipping it through his fingers and quickly putting it against Everett's throat. "The others will get a kick out of this-"

Everett had quickly growled, before he grabbed the Yiga's arm before he shoved his palm upward into it. It didn't break, but it surely shocked the brute. He had growled in anger, quickly releasing his grip on Everett's throat. Everett had bashed his head into the assassins face, slightly knocking his marked mask to the side, revealing skin. He quickly had moved the mask back in it's place, but was cut off by Everett slamming his fist into the man's gut. He doubled over, and Everett had grabbed the Yiga member by his shoulders, and flung him to the ground a few feet away from him.

The man quickly jumped up, unsheathing his longblade. Everett had seen the fast swing coming this time, dodging the powerful force emitted by the blade. Everett rolled to the side, and had rolled to the opposite direction. He had zipped by and dodged the wildly force by the blade. The assassin had wildly swung the sword in different angles, a few had managed to brush Everett's skin but none that would harm him.

Everett had expertly tossed two knives at the man, one which had been lodged into his shoulder. The man had growled in anger and pain, before he ripped the blade from his shoulder.

"You will pay for that!" The assassin shouted angrily, a blue orb had formed in his hand and he had pressed it against the dirt ground. The ground had began to split, the force coming directly at him. He had jumped back in time to dodge the attack that had splitter the ground, rubble were shaped as of it were trying to stab him.

He had heard a poof above him, and had quickly rolled out of the way of the assassin who had appeared out of thin air above him. The Yiga's sword had been embedded into the ground. Everett took the opportunity to dash at the man trying to yank the sword from the dirt, he had let his right fist connect to the top of the assassin's head. Another punch he landed on the man's cheek, making him stumble back quite a few feet.

Everett eyed the blade stuck into the ground. Grilling the handle, he effortlessly pulled the sword from the ground examining it. He gave the Yiga member a dark look, before he pointed the sword towards him. The member of the rogue clan had hesitated, before pulling another small blade out. He had dashed forward, swinging the blade forward.

Everett jumped back, before quickly swiping the sword diagonally. A force of wind had been directed at the member, who had barely managed to dodge the oncoming blow. Everett had landed a cut onto the man's arm, before quickly slashing him along the thigh in a swift motion. The man stumbled back, before he had let his hand glow with the blue light once again. Everett had cut him off, quickly throwing his last knife that had sliced the man's hand.

"Argh!" The Yiga cried, and he didn't stop when Everett let the wind attack him full head on. The assassin had flew back a few feet, hitting the wall of a building. He had slid down in a similar fashion Everett did.

The sword in one hand, he slowly began to move towards the assassin to finish the battle. He saw the Yiga slowly reach behind his back to pull another blade out, before the red aura swirled around him. He vanished into thin air, and Everett felt as if everything slowed down. He heard another poof above his head, and the assassin was trying to bring the blade down on him in a final, desperate attempt.

Everett shot the plan down, when he reached up and grabbed the man by the throat. He had roughly jammed the longblade through his abdomen, bringing him down to his knees. A cry had escaped the man, as Everett had made sure to twist it.

The man looked up at him, before he had quaked of laughter. Everett had felt his anger increase as the man laughed in his face, so had shoved the longblade further in his abdomen making the man cry again. "You..." the man started. "You fool...this was all a distraction..."

The man had begun to go limp in his grasp, with the blade still in his stomach. Everett had ripped it out, making it as painful as possible for him. What did he mean by that last sentence? He watched the Yiga member wheeze, before he no longer heard any breathing.

Everett had quickly turned his head at the thud that had landed behind him, pointing his sword towards the noise. The smug look on the rito's face didn't fall, and Everett had exhaled the breath he held in.

"That was eventful." Revali took note, making Everett frown. "For a moment, I had thought you were going to perish."

Everett scoffed. "Sorry to disappoint." He looked towards the dead assassin, before letting himself focus back on Revali. "He said this was all a distraction."

Revali raised his eye. "Distraction? Distraction of what kind-"

Revali couldn't get the words out befor thunderous rumbling had been felt. The two had looked around frantically before Everett had ran towards a corner where he could see a clear view of the field. His heart had dropped.

A horde of all kinds of monsters had been making their way towards the village, being led by none other than a lynel. Everett had mentally cursed himself, and sighed. He heard footsteps from behind him and a gasp from the Rito warrior himself.

Everett had looked towards Revali with a tired expression, before he pointed towards the horde of monsters. "That distraction..."
