Universe Souls
A universe soul is a soul that was created by the universe for the purpose of completing an important task. Usually the task involves helping the dead move on properly, solving decade old crimes, or helping the development of mankind. There are various ways the soul will complete this task. Either by coming up with elaborate schemes, taking the easy way out, or finding obvious solutions. When the soul dies, there is no afterlife, reincarnation, or becoming a spirit.
A universe soul is still considered a soul. We must still treat it with the same respect as the others.
How to spot a Universe soul
The body of a universe soul will take the appearance of a mammal. Most commonly cats, dogs, and people. Their appearance will be ethereal and impossibly perfect. They are beautiful to everyone, no matter what. Their eyes are an uncommon color for their species. A cat may have orange, amber, or brown eyes, dogs may have a bright green, and humans can have a wide array of eye colors, unnatural or not, such as yellow, pink, various shades of blue and green, and orange.

Mani has found the holder of the ring in Cardiff, Wales. His father had posted a picture of him online of the two of them in front of the Rhys Museum. His name is Ryou Bakura. He is six years old and in school. I will figure out which school he is in and enroll in Diva. He is eight, so it should be fine. Mani will help me figure out a plan to get the ring away from Ryou as we take a flight over there. I hope he complies.

Diva has been enrolled into Carys School of Learning. What a silly name. Mani came up with the idea that Diva befriends Ryou and convinces him to renounce the ring that way. It'll take a bit of time, but it's the safest option at the moment. Mani will stay in a rented apartment, and will attempt to get a job that is near the school to get as close to Ryou and Diva as possible without a proper education.

Diva is having troubles befriending Ryou. Apparently the spirit(s?) inside the ring told him that they knew Diva was related to me. Ryou wants nothing to do with him. We might have to come up with a new plan. On an important note, Diva has stated that Ryou is very pretty in an unnatural way. His eyes are blue with light yellow accents, the pads of his fingers (and skin in general) have no blemishes despite liking to sculpt, and his body has no sign of asymmetry. (other than in his bangs) I hope this is just Diva being observant. Ryou may be pretty, but the yellow could just be sunlight, or ceiling lights. The situation will become complicated if not.

Success! Diva has befriended Ryou! They talk on occasion, play sometimes and do homework together! Not sure where the sudden switch with the spirit's opinion came from, but an in is an in. Mani is bored and wishes to go back to Egypt and continue studying for his guardianship. Unfortunately, that isn't an option. Diva may need help getting back home if something happens to me. Mani has met Ryou when taking Diva home, he isn't a fan. He says he looks like his brain bounces around his skull like a ball at a dog park.

The waiting around needs to come to an end soon. The longer we wait, the more Ryou could be corrupted. The more Ryou is corrupted, the less likely we are to get the ring back to wait for the Pharaoh's return. I will tell Diva to set up a playdate with Ryou when the weekend is over, I will get the ring back that way.

The playdate is 3 pm on Saturday at our apartment. Ryou's mom will be attending. This could make things more difficult. This will make things more difficult. Diva is surprisingly excited. Making friends with Ryou has been a very happy moment for him. I hope all goes well and they stay friends.

Today is the day. Ryou and Diva are playing Duel Monsters. Or they're trying to. They have yet to learn the rules and are just summoning monsters with high attack to destroy the others. Ryou's mom, Chiyoko, is keeping me busy by talking about how happy she is that Ryou finally made a friend. He's had a hard time ever since getting the ring. He talks to the spirit inside of it a lot, it makes the other kids nervous. I am not close enough to Ryou to see him very well.
There is a new kid at Ryou's school. His name is Diva Shin. He's a temporary student. More importantly, he is one of the guardians' children. I didn't know his name at the time, but I know every single fucking face that stayed in that entered the tablet's room.
How the fuck did he find us?
Ryou jolted, a bit surprised by my language, and whispered, "what are you talking about?"
I point to Diva. That kid belongs to the guardian. The one keeping watch of the millennium items. Him being here, means they've come to take the ring back.
Ryou looked slightly worried. He fiddled with two of the ring's prongs and looked back at Diva. He was sitting at the table next to him. Chattering away with the kids sat there. His eye occasionally looked back at Ryou.
If he talks to you, or tries to befriend you, don't interact. Just kindly refuse.
He made a sad face, but nodded. I don't want Ryou to form a friendship based on destroying what we built. Ryou is my family, I can't lose anymore family.
Ryou didn't listen to me. A few days after Diva's first attempt at friendship, the idea of someone his age being his friend was just too tempting. Fine. That's fine. The kids at Ryou's school don't want to be his friend because of how much we talk and play, how much prettier he is than them, how much they think he looks like a girl, and how bad he is at sports. Diva doesn't care about that.
If it makes him happy, even if it makes me angry, I will allow it.
Something bad will happen. I know it.
Diva and Ryou have become very close. Not as close as us, but still close. They've begun to play a newly popular card game, Duel Monsters. It's obvious that some monsters are based off of Ka. Neither of them are playing properly. Some of the cards have summoning conditions, some require a tribute, some only work with certain monster types, and Change of Heart only controles a monster for one turn. It's a little cute watching them to be honest. Idiots. Why can I read better than Ryou? If I'm speaking Arabic, and everyone else is speaking English, why can I understand them? Something isn't right.
It's saturday, normally, Ryou would stay home and help his mom with the brand new infant baby, Amane. Normally, Ryou would stay home and play video games, or a board game. Normally, Ryou would stay home and draw or sculpt. Today was not "normal". Ryou has a playdate with Diva. At Diva's apartment. The apartment where the guardian is. I tried everything to get Ryou to say no to Diva's request, but Ryou is sweet, naive, and longing for a friend he can relate to more.
Diva isn't that though! He is lying and deceiving Ryou so he can take me away from him. So he and the rest of his fucking cult he calls "family" can treat me like a fucking monster. I went through that for over 3,000 years. Ryou is all I have left. I am not going to lose him to some pricks who worship the man who shattered everything I had.
If the guardian takes the one thing I have left, I am going to kill him.
