Chapter 4: The New Adventure Upon Us! The Next Move.

Jinshu was mending her wounds after her battle on Planet Popstar on her spacecraft, her hair was a mess, and she was completely dirty and bruised all over her body.

"D-damn it. I thought I had that fight in the bag…" groaned Jinshu, she turned towards the cosmos, "It looked like my clones weren't so lucky…"

The remaining soldiers were trying their best to keep the general alive as well as themselves. Burned marks painted over their bodies due to Fire Kirby and Reiya, scratches due to Star's magic, and stains which looked similar to stress marks due to Marco.

'It's bad enough we've lost the fight, but losing the Lament Amulet is another thing!" 'How the Hell am I going to explain this to His Greatness?'

After what seemed like an eternity, Jinshu's spaceship and her minions' ships flew past the defenses of the Calajeng Empire and reached Angkasa, the heart and soul of the empire.

Menyukai was waiting for the spiky haired general, as she tapped her foot repeatedly on the metallic Red Giant-sized spaceship.

Jinshu sighed as she saw the pink maid with a crossed look on her face.

She turned to the rest of her soldiers, "Ladies, Gentlemen, and others, it's been a pleasure… I'll handle the rest from here." And with that, Jinshu walked alone towards Menyuaki.

The bright pink bubblegum-haired woman tried to be in a good mood but knowing people have died due to Jinshu's reckless acts, she couldn't. "What happened on Popstar?" she boomed.

Jinshu chuckled, "It would be better to ask what didn't happen on that beautiful planet…"

Menyukai rolled her eyes and saw Jinshu, beaten and burned across her entire body. She couldn't help but feel sorry for the speedster, all she wanted to do was please the God-Emperor.

"His Grandness is waiting for you… in his office," stated Menyukai as she pointed down the halls, "Good luck, you'll need it."

Jinshu croaked, "Tell me something new, why don't ya?" And with that, she limped away.

The maid ran past the general, to make sure the soldiers could still walk and recover quickly, and shouted, "Alright, everyone, stay right where you are! Some medical help is coming by to assist you!"

Meanwhile, with Jinshu, she hobbled towards the God-Emperor's front office. She saw the two guards at their station.

"Come with me," stated the first guard, "I know why the God-Emperor wants to speak with you."

As the two defenders got on both sides of Jinshu and helped her towards Murka's office.

"Ruler of the Heroes and the Heavens, we have brought you Jinshu of the Permula Lieutenants!" shouted the second guard.

"Thank you," boomed Murka, "You two may leave us…"

The guards nodded and quickly got back to their post.

The silence between the God-Emperor and the general was enough to choke a planet or two and freeze them too. Jinshu wouldn't dare make eye contact with her God.

Finally, Murka spoked, "So… Do you want to explain the foolishness of your actions today?"

Jinshu yelped, then spoke, "I-I just wanted to make you proud of me, O Great One!"

Murka sighed, "Because of your reckless thinking, we have lost countless soldiers, wasted time for everyone involved, and destroyed the planet Megastar. Not only that, but you still have the Lambent Amulet from Megastar?".

"N-no, I don't. Kirby and his friends probably have it…"

"How you managed to mess all of this up is astounding!"

"I know, I know, Great One, I'm sorry!"

Murka sighed again, "People like you should know not to underestimated your opponents, especially Kirby of the Stars and Princess Star Butterfly…"

The scorpion emperor's expression turned from sorrow to pure adultery hate as he tightly grabbed his golden ax, Jinshu spoke, "You speak as if you know them, Great One."

"I will tell you all my relationship with the Dream Landers and the Mewmans at a later time," Murka stated, "But as now, you will be stripped of your rank until you learn your lesson."

"But what about the Lambent Amulets?"

"I'll have the other generals deal with that, as for now, I suggest you rest and think about your brutish actions."

"But-".

Before the emperor would retaliate, Menyukai ran in the office, "Great One, we have an emergency!"

"What is it?" asked Murka.

"You see… it seemed like some of the spaceships that belonged to Jinshu had new soldiers on board."

"I'll deal with them, Menyukai take Jinshu to a private nursing room where you can recover," Then the God-Emperor teleported away.

"Come on, Jinshu, I'll take you towards your new room," said Menyukai. As she took the disgraced general out of the office.

Meanwhile, Murka made it to his destination, and saw some eleven familiar faces.

"Well… this is new," the emperor said.

On Popstar, Kirby allowed his new friends to introduced themselves to Bandana Dee.

But before that, Kirby showed Bandana Dee the right horn of the Lambent Amulet. And Reiya explained everything about the Lambent Amulets and its raw cosmic powers.

"Whoa…that sounds serious!" stated Bandana Dee, "We shouldn't let those invaders get their hands on them."

The four defenders nodded, and then Kirby said, "You should probably all introduce each other before anything else!"

"Oh, of course! I'm Star Butterfly!" smiled the princess as she created a rainbow, "A Magical Princess from Another Dimension!"

The rainbow caught on fire much to the surprise of everyone, except Star and Marco. The creatures on the rainbow scurred off in fear.

"A-Another Dimension?!" gasped Bandana Dee, "So, you know who Magolor, Landia, and the Ancients are?!"

Star raised a brow, "Uh… Magawho and what now?"

"Oh, never mind," sighed Bandana Dee as he scratched his head. 'The multiverse must be bigger than I thought…'

Marco walked up to introduced himself, "I-".

"Oh, this is Marco Diaz, my best friend from Earth. He's an only child!" grinned Star as she laid her arm around Marco and pointed with her other thumb towards the Latino teen.

"S-Star, I had everything under control," snapped Marco as he pushed Star off him.

"Oh, my bad, Diaz!"

"Anyway," coughed Reiya, "I'm Reiya Yajū, one of the former defenders for a planet called Megastar. Um…The Calajengs, those scorpion people that attacked your home… blew it up."

"Huh?!" exclaimed Bandana Dee, "I'm sorry to hear that! Hopefully the Great King will allow you to live here if that's what you want."

"Thank you…"

Bandana Dee couldn't help but smiled. "You guys seem like a quirky bunch." He cleared his throat, "I'm Bandana Waddle Dee, but you can call me Bandana Dee for short!" He brought out his spear, and stated, "I'm one of Kirby's closest friends!"

He then shook hands with the three teenagers, to end their greeting.

Meanwhile, the Great King Dedede checked his castle to see if everyone was okay.

"Everything seemed messy, but we just had a mini war…"

A group of 3 Waddle Dees came out to greet the red-robed king. Covered in dirt and bruises, but were victorious as they defended their kingdom.

"Great King! You're okay!" cheered the first Waddle Dee, "I was so worried."

"Yeah!" said the second Waddle Dee, "Everything happened at once, I wonder who they were anyway?"

"Taranza is in the throne room if you need him," stated the three Waddle Dee, "He did everything in his power to keep us safe!".

Dedede laughed, "It's going to take more than some spaceships and soldiers to scare us! Isn't that right, my Waddle Dees?"

"Yes sire!"

The Waddle Dees ran in to embrace their King, it had been a long day. After some time, more subjects of the King ran towards him.

Dedede thought,'My subjects aren't used to war, but then again, who said I was?'. He sighed, 'I'm just glad everything is okay…"

Meta Knight flew across the countryside with Sword and Blade Knights in each hand. Despite the miniature war that happened, everything seemed peaceful. Well, there were still dark clouds in the sky due to some explosions.

Meta Knight started to fly lower to the grass and fly slower, "Keep an eye out for Kirby, Dedede and/or Bandana Dee, I will do the same…"

"Yes, of course, Sir Meta Knight!" boomed the two knights and the two went to work. Looking high and low.

'I just hope Kirby and the others had a better chance dealing with the invaders then my men and I did…' thought Meta Knight. He then thought about how Jinshu surprised him with the dust to the face that stirred up during the battle, 'If only I wasn't so careless, I thought I had everything under control, How could I beat Galacta Knight, and still let my guard down? No, what happened in the past, stays in the past. Move on, Meta Knight, move on'.

'Besides…' Before the blue knight could finish his train of thought, he was interrupted.

"Hey, I see Kirby!" shouted Sword Knight as he pointed towards Kirby's location.

"And Bandana Dee too!" bellowed Blade Knight, "With some kids?"

"Excellent…" stated Meta Knight, 'At least, they are okay…'

Meta Knight soon landed on the ground in front of Kirby, Star and company. And he let go of Sword and Blade Knights' hands.

"Oh! It's Meta Knight, hiii!" greeted Kirby.

"With Sword Knight and Blade Knight," added Bandana Dee.

Star gasped with sparkling eyes, "Where are you adorable guys keep coming from?"

Meta Knight ignored the blonde princess and started to speak, "Greetings Kirby and Bandana Dee, I hope that you are doing okay." He eyed the three teenagers, making Marco uncomfortable for a minute, "Those creatures attacked our planet, I would like to get to the bottom of this."

" Oh!" Bandana Dee said, "These are Star, Marco and Reiya," the orange idol pointed out, "They helped Kirby fight off those intruders."

Meta Knight nodded at Bandana Dee, then turned his attention towards the three adolescents, "You have my thanks for helping Kirby back there."

Star smiled, then stated, "No biggie. Kirby helped us out earlier today, so we decided to return the favor!"

"I see…" stated Blade Knight.

Marco added on, "Also Kirby did most of the work anyway…"Then he laughed.

"Hey!" stated Star, "We put in work too!"

Marco looked at Star, and noticed that he may have said something rude to Star and Reiya.

"I didn't say you two didn't," Marco countered, "But I would be wondering what would happen to us if Kirby wasn't here."

Star just stared at Marco for a few seconds, then realized that their meeting was an accident, and they would probably be space dust right now.

"How did you guys find Popstar?" asked Sword Knight.

Star glared at her wand, then stated, "Well, I recently used my dimensional scissors," as the blonde princess showed the three knights and her wand, "To escape against the Calajengs and my wand hasn't cooled down yet, then it touched the scissors."

"I have never seen dimensional scissors, usually the citizens of Dream Land stay on Popstar," said Blade Knight. "The planet we're on right now."

Star and Marco looked at each other, then to Reiya, finally the red hooded teenager spoke, "Wait, seriously?!" "So none of you traveled to another world before?"

Kirby stated, "Bandana Dee, Meta Knight, Dedede, and I traveled to Another Dimension to help a friend," he continued, "Then there was another instance where we had to collect the Crystal Shards to defeat Dark Matter!"

Meta Knight scoffed, "Calling Magolor a friend is a bit of a stretch don't you think?"

"Nonsense!" said Kirby, "Besides he said he was sorry and built Dedede and I some theme parks to enjoy!"

Star, Marco and Reiya were completely in the dark as to who this Magolor character was, but Bandana Dee tried to change the topic.

"A-And don't forget how we had to recover the colors of Popstar from Dark Crafter," said Bandana Dee, "So you guys are in good hands to recover the Lambent Amulets!"

Kirby and Meta Knight gave each other a look and nodded in union as if they said another time to discuss this topic, they had unfinished business to talk about.

"That's a relief, but don't forget that I heard legends of you four and how you guys defended your homeland countless times from enemies," added Reiya, "I just did not believe that you guys were actual people with their own lives."

"I guess the same can be said about the Lambent Amulets being real, which I remembered reading about in a book," said Meta Knight, "But I thought they were rumors…".

It came to the minds of Kirby, Meta Knight, Sword Knight and Blade Knight that Dedede was missing.

"Speaking of which, where is Dedede?" asked Kirby.

Meanwhile at Castle Dedede, the Great King was talking with Taranza in the throne room about future plans. The subject and the ruler were discussing the miniature war that just ended.

"So, you do not know where those people came from?" asked Taranza.

The king shook his head, "I suppose not, but by the way, the soldiers and that general attacked Bandana Dee, my subjects, and I seemed like otherwise."

An idea popped into Dedede's head, "Oh right, I need to get back with Bandana Dee, hopefully he has gotten in contact with Kirby and/or Meta Knight."

"I agree," the spider mage stated, "Besides they might know something we don't."

The king nodded, then began to speak again.

"You know," Dedede stated, "I appreciate you, Taranza, as much as Bandana Dee and my other subjects." He gave the Floralian a pat on the back, "Thank you for watching over my kingdom."

Taranza was speechless at first, but he gathered courage, "O-oh, you're welcome, Great King. It's the least I could do after you and Kirby helped me and the People of the Sky defeat… you know…".

"Right, right," Dedede said, knowing that the topic of Sectonia was still a difficult one for the clumsy spider mage.

The Great King clapped his hands, and a Waddle Dee servant appeared. "Make sure everyone is counted for and everything is up to shape. Taranza and I need to get back with Bandana Dee pronto!".

"Yes, Great One!" stated the Waddle Dee servant, and left to get his fellow comrades-in-arms orders.

Dedede and Taranza then begin their journey to find Bandana Dee. 'Hopefully everyone is okay,' thought the red-robed king and web-caped magician.

Emperor Murka and Menyuaki couldn't believe their eyes as a group of eleven familiar faces from Popstar turned their ugly heads, they also fought against Kirby and company countless times. They included:

Kracko, the sky lord who used to work under King Dedede.

Mr. Shine and Mr. Bright, the self-proclaimed sun & moon of Popstar.

Bonkers, the simian hammer wielding foe who enjoys throwing coconuts.

Mr. Frosty, the Wild Ice Beast who enjoys throwing ice blocks.

Gigant Edge, the Steel Soldier with a giant sword and shield.

Blocky, the heavy cube of stone. Who is faster than he looks.

Grand Wheelie, a speed demon in the shape of a wheel.

Poppy Bros. Sr., the Happy-Go-Lucky bomb slinging foe.

Bugzzy, the wrestling loving bug-like king with giant pincers.

And Captain Stitch, a round; yet spiky fiend.

Murka glared at the nine foes then spoke, "You guys have some nerve showing your faces around my empire…". He summoned his giant, golden ax.

The three sky figures and the mid-bosses fell onto their faces, and Bonkers spoke, "Oh Great One, we have been captured by your soldiers and are glad to see your faces again!"

"What are they talking about?" whispered Menyukai.

"Just roll with it," muttered Murka.

"I see, so you all have come to your senses and decided to fight for the stronger side," boomed Murka.

"Yes, of course, Great One," answered Gigant Edge.

"Will we get a turn to crush Kirby and his friends?" asked Mr. Frosty, "They've been a thorne in our sides for far too long!"

"Only if you pledge your loyalties to my empire and I, then you make as much trouble towards Kirby and the others," declared Murka. 'I guess something good has occurred due to Jinshu's recklessness…'.

The sky lord was the first to yield.

"Yes, we will!" stated Kracko, "Oh Great Ruler of the Heroes and the Heavens, our strength is yours!"

Then the false sun and moon.

"Our blood is yours! This will be a new point in history that no one will ever forget!" bellowed Mr. Shine and Mr. Bright in union.

The mid-bosses had no choice, but to follow the sky lord and the self-proclaimed celestial bodies. It's not like they would stand a chance against the God-Emperor and many armies, especially so far away from their home planet.

"Alright, that's enough of that," stated Murka with a wave of his left pincher, "Menyukai, take these people to one of our offices, where we can sign them up as an official part of our armies, then take them to one of the training stations."

The pink-haired maid saluted and said, "Yes, Great One!" "Come with me, everyone, we've got work to do."

Then she and a group of soldiers precented to lead the bosses and minibosses to their respective destinations.

'Things just turned around, didn't they?' thought Murka as he teleported away to his offices, those future laws were not going to finish themselves.

On Popstar, King Dedede and Taranza finally met up with Kirby, Star and the others and discussed the next course of action. But before introducing themselves.

"I am the Great King Dedede, ruler of Dream Land!"

"And I am Taranza, acting ruler of Floralia."

"It's nice to meet you all," grinned Star, "I'm Star, this is Marco and finally we have Reiya."

Dedede and Taranza nodded, then Taranza started to think out loud.

"So, these scorpion-like people are called Calajengs and they have billions of soldiers at their disposal due to the fact they have conquered countless planets…" stated the spider mage as he paced back and forth, "Did we get everything?"

"Well," answered Reiya, "There are the Lambent Amulets, which have greater wishing powers than the Galactic Novas, also there are eleven more pieces scattered across the cosmos…".

Kirby showed Dedede and Taranza the right horn of the Lambent Amulet, which he showed the Meta-Knights a few minutes ago.

"Oooh! Shiny!" stated Star.

"Star, you've already seen it!" snapped Marco.

"It looks prettier every time…".

Marco Diaz just sighed, he probably would never know what's going on in the Princess Powerhouse's head.

"It sounds like another adventure is upon us," stated Meta Knight, "However, I'm afraid we can not all go, what if those Calajengs come back with a counterattack…".

"Oh! That's a good point, Sir Meta Knight!" said Bandana Dee, "But the question is who?"

"I'll leave everything to the Meta-Knights," answered the masked swordsman, "Hopefully, they can fix up the Halberd by then."

The Great King raised his hand, then stated, "Not so fast, Meta Knight!" "I'll lend a hand as well, Taranza would you mind being king while I'm away?"

Taranza's eyes widened and he moved back a bit, "M-Me as King?!"

"Yes," the Great King smiled, "I thought a while on it, but you would be the perfect candidate!" "I would have picked Kirby or Bandana Dee, but you are more experienced than both of them put together since you used to be the right-hand man of Royal Road."

"Also, you led the Great King's subjects to victory with your leadership!" added Bandana Dee.

Taranza blushed, he was never the one to be the center of praise. Well, at least before Sectonia was corrupted by the Dimension Mirror.

"Trust me, dude," said Marco, "If the King said you are a good pick, then he can't be wrong."

"I-I guess you're right," Taranza stated, still hot and flustered.

The Great King picked out a red hat similar to his own from his coat pocket, and slapped it upon Taranza's head.

"See?" said Star, "You already look like a natural!"

Taranza did not have any words.

"But what about Floralia?" asked Reiya, "Surely there is someone who can watch over that country while you take Dedede's spot for the time being."

"Oh! The People of the Sky, of course!" countered Taranza, "I'll let them right now!"

And with that, Taranza left to climb the Dreamstalk to tell them the exciting news.

"I need to take back Sword Knight and Blade Knight to the other Meta-Knights, so that they can recover the Halberd like I said before."

"Don't tell me that the Halberd got destroyed again?" snarked Dedede.

"Don't remind me, Dedede," growled the blue knight.

Dedede moved back a bit, and stated, "Hey, learn to take a joke, why don't ya?"

Kirby couldn't help, but laugh at the King and the Knight.

"Are these two always like this?" asked Marco.

The red-robed figure and the masked knight eyed the Latino teenager for a split second.

Bandana Dee smiled, then added, "Yep! That's just who they are…"

Meta Knight grabbed Sword Knight and Blade Knight, then flew their merry ways back to Orange Ocean.

The six beings stood there in silence, until Dedede spoke up.

"Uh, how are we supposed to track down the Lambent Amulet and get to these locations?"

"With this!" answered Star as she pulled out a Lambent Amulet tracker, "I call it Star's Handy Dandy Lambent Amulet Tracking Device!"

"Plus, Star has dimensional scissors to go anywhere she wants!" stated Marco.

"Huh… that answers my questions then," said Dedede.

An idea popped into Kirby's head, "And we can also use the Warp Star!"

"Right, right, to trick the Calajengs?" asked Marco, "To not expect where we are going next?"

Kirby tilted his head, "Not really, I just like riding the Warp Star…"

"I don't…" said Marco as he held his stomach.

Bandana Dee patted Diaz on the back and realized that traveling at light speed for a human may not be the most comfortable thing to do, "Don't worry, I'm not the biggest fan myself either."

Marco smiled, then said, "Thank you, Bandana Dee." As he soon let go of his stomach.

Kirby had to make a call on his phone, "I'm going to call Gooey and the Animal Friends to tell them what's going on."

"Okay, you go do that," replied Bandana Dee. Then Kirby walked away.

"Wait, who now?" asked Star.

"Other friends of Kirby's," said Dedede.

"Ah…"

Meta Knight came back, it was faster than anyone could have predicted. But then again, this is the same guy who could travel to planets within seconds.

"Took you long enough," Dedede teased.

"I doubt you could go faster," Meta Knight snarked back.

"Heh… what would you know?"

As Dedede and Meta Knight were arguing with one another with Bandana Dee trying his best to break up their squabble, Reiya looked into the distance, which Star and Marco noticed and came to check up on her.

"Hey, is everything okay?" asked Star.

"I guess…" answered Reiya, "It's just what Jinshu said about my friends being captured and my planet being gone, I wonder if she was trying to trigger me to attack recklessly?"

"Uhm, we're not really sure how to think about that," replied Marco.

Kanja, Kyōkan, Gyorai and Burabō…" whispered Reiya.

Star raised an eyebrow and said, "Huh?"

"Sorry, I was thinking of the other members of the Kaiju Slayers…"

"Ah… I see, we're sorry for your losses," added Marco.

"Jinshu said they were kidnapped, they did nothing to them and yet…"

"Don't worry, we'll find them and recover your home," said a voice, "I promise you."

That voice belonged none other than Kirby as he finished his call with the Animal Friends. "The Calajengs are going to pay for what they have done, then we can all eat dinner and sleep under the stars!"

Reiya sighed, then said, "Thank you once again, Kirby, I appreciate it…"

The pink hero, along with Star and Marco just smiled at the blue haired girl.

Hey everyone. Thank you for reading chapter 4, this was a calmer chapter compared to the first three. But I hope you enjoy it nonetheless!

Also, there is some new etymology you guys might want to know:

Kanja-Japanese word for Secret Agent.

Kyōkan-Japanese word for Triggerman.

Gyorai-Japanese word for Torpedo.

Burabō- Japanese word for Bravo.

All these words are synonyms to the word: Slayer. Or Yajū as it is in Japanese aka Reiya's last name.
