Devil of Twilight Chapter 1

Roxas's POV

I woke up in a room of some kind. I groaned and slowly got up as I heard a voice that sounded familiar while I did that. I looked where the voice came from to see a beautiful young woman with a voluptuous body, white skin, blue eyes, and a buxom figure. most distinctive feature she seemed to have was her long, beautiful crimson hair that reached down to her thighs with a single hair strand sticking out from the top. Her hair also has some loose bangs covering her forehead and side bangs framing her face. She seemed to be wearing a uniform of some kind which comprised of a white long-sleeved, button-down shirt with a black ribbon on her shirt collar worn under a black shoulder cape and a matching button-down corset, a magenta skirt with white accents, and brown dress shoes over white crew-length socks.

She spoke up first as she asked me a question.

''You're Roxas right? You're my new Knight from my Peerage. I revived you last night as you seemed to be dying. I am Rias Gremory, The King of this Peerage. It is a pleasure to meet you.'' Rias said as she extended a hand but I couldn't wrap my head around this peerage thing. Was I her slave? Was it because she saved me and it was the only way? These questions begged more questions that needed answers. I could angrily declare that I serve no one but I remembered Xigbar's training when he taught me to scout for information. He always said to think and analyze before any anger. This Rias did save my life and that meant she had the cards right now. Plus maybe it wouldn't be so bad. As a Nobody, I had no right to even exist so maybe this was life giving me a pass? I answered her calmly.

''Yeah...but I find it weird how you know my name as I never met you.'' I answered as Rias answered me.

''Well, I did revive you. I was forced to heal you after I used my Evil Piece on you to save you from certain oblivion. I still can't believe that you never once showed any signs of lust of anything when I did.'' Rias explained herself as I asked her some more questions.

''Evil Pieces? Why should I show you any lust or whatever that is? I don't know you. So what are these Evil Pieces and what do they do? It is clear that is the leash on me right now and it may have weakened me so considering that there are people after my head, I'd say I have the right to know don't I?'' I asked as Rias nodded and explained herself before muttering how her charm and assets had no effect.

''This may seem weird to you but we are Devils Roxas. The Evil Piece that I used on you made you a Reincarnated Devil under my command. The Peerage System was made to replenish our Devil number after the great war. While some may see you as a slave, I can assure you that I don't. My family, the Gremory Household sees their servants as Family Roxas. It was the only way I could save your life as I did try to heal your very minor cuts but it was clear that if I didn't you'd die.'' Rias explained. On one hand, I was happy as I landed in the jackpot it seemed. On the other, I was enslaved technically and would be forced to take orders but I didn't have to worry about Sora, Riku, and DiZ anymore so maybe this wouldn't be so bad. There would be one condition that I would do this and she couldn't even understand that then I was out of her hair before she could object.

''I see...alright Rias. I'll play ball and do what must be done...on one condition. You never ever lie to me or use me for any misdeeds and lie to my face about it and we won't have a problem. I had enough of lies, backstabers, and enslavement for three lifetimes so that is all I ask. If you can't do that then I'm going rogue and considering I succeeded before you should heed my warning.'' I said as she seemed shocked before she answered.

''Consider it done Roxas. Your reasons are sound and valid. I treat my peers like family so that should be the norm of our relationship here. I'll show you that heart of yours that it's not so bad under the right chain of command.'' Rias said as I chuckled and answered her.

''Yeah...good luck doing that to my non-existent heart Rias but I won't stop you from trying.'' I said as another female voice was heard from the doorway as a young woman with a voluptuous figure, very long black hair, and violet eyes. Her hair is usually tied in a very long ponytail, reaching all the way down to the floor with two strands sticking out from the top and sloping backward, with an orange ribbon keeping it in place. She seemed to be wearing the same uniform as the first one as it was comprised of a white long-sleeved, button-down shirt with a black ribbon on her shirt collar worn under a black shoulder cape, and a matching button-down corset, a magenta skirt with white accents, and brown dress shoes over black calf-length socks. She spoke up upon hearing that.

''Ara, Ara, Buchou, already hugging tall, mysterious, and broody to yourself? Let me join in on this affair.'' The newcomer said as I looked at her blandly which seemed to upset her as Rias coughed into her hand as she spoke.

''Roxas, this is Akeno, my Queen. The Peerage System and Evil Pieces are based on chess but I will fill you in later. Akeno...I don't think he is joking about not having feelings and it is worrisome.'' Rias said as the now-identified Akeno spoke.

''Really? Let's test that Buchou.'' Akeno said as she put her breast in my face. I simply ignored her and she simply tried more seductive things but it seemed that even Akeno realized that it indeed wasn't working as she spoke up disappointed.

''Really...not even an erection or blush...Who is he?'' Akeno asked as I exited the room. This was my new life in a school it seemed. I didn't know but I could swear that someone wanted me to taste poetic irony wherever I go. It was clear that I would need to learn to fake emotions and as I walked outside, I overheard some guys running for their lives as the girls chased them. The guys went past me as they said.

''Don't let them get us!'' They said as they hid behind me as the girls with wooden swords came and basically gave me an order.

''Move out of the way. We need to punish them!'' The leader said what seemed to be their leader as I asked a question back to know if I should or not.

''Sure but why? Sorry, but I'm new here, and I dunno why I should do that.'' I said as the leader spoke up.

''They spy on us girls changing. The school hasn't expelled them and we don't know why. Their behavior is criminal in case you don't know and judging from your face I'd say so.'' The Leader explained as I nodded. These guys were perverted criminals and were running away. I then got out of their way as they beat up these three perverts. The perverts were beaten up. I saw them swing their wooden swords at them as they were knocked out from the blows. I didn't know but I had become the anti pervert of the school that day as my life changed for the better?
