Idea 59: Quirk Log 8
Another quirk log cause I've only been able to come up with ideas lately. It's four general ideas with some subsets to them but I quite liked them, at least enough to write a decent amount for just drafting, so I figured I'd post them immediately.
Quirk Log 8
(5 Minutes with You)
Quirk: 5 Minutes Rest (5 Minute Time Stop)
-Each day Izumi can stop time for a collective total of 5 minutes (Can stop for any interval she wants, 30 secs, 2 mins, etc...)
-Once she's used it up then she must wait for the next day to use it again
-The day is the only limit, not a time limit cool down (freezes time at 11:59.59pm then once it hits 12am she can use it again) (effective 10 minute time stop around midnight)
-Older Izumi (one of two ideas)
-Multiple encounters with different characters
This quirk is based on a manga I read a long time ago called Fragtime, a yuri manga, in which the MC could stop time for 3 minutes a day but one other girl was unaffected without her initially knowing. With that in mind, I had two ideas.
Either I go with the same general basis, in which whoever is paired with Izumi doesn't have their time stopped and they still students and Izumi uses that time as her escape to take a breathe from the world, or I write an older Izumi who has 'encounters' with multiple characters or a dedicated pair per her job. I probably won't write full NSFW with the older Izumi idea, just leaving it at very light/implied stuff, but when I came up with the idea it revolved around the characters comforting one another and the physical relationship mainly being a vehicle to grow closer and bond while being in a slightly more vulnerable setting.

(Monster Girl Midori)
I don't know how I'll go about it, whether it's a standalone collection or just woven into my yuri collection, but I feel I should have more monster girl quirk Izumis. This might also include more yokai/yokai styled Izumis and I have a growing list of ones I want to use though I've already added a few to this idea fic before. (Kuchisake-onna, Harpy, Holstaur/Minotaur, Chimera, Dullahan, Samebito/Mershark) (Yuki-onna is a WIP currently)
MonGirls Quirks and Yokai Quirks/Actual Yokai:
Alraune:
-Ibara pair?
-Izumi is a normal student? (Gardening Club)
-Ibara meets her when visiting the club, accidentally sits on a photosynthesizing Izumi who is hidden
-Action/Moment or design point, Izumi somehow grows flowers on Ibara's vines?
-Izumi can subside off plant care which Ibara provides for her later on. (Moment: Ibara watering a flower on Izumi's head. Izumi growing things for Ibara to harvest from her plants)
Slime:
-Mina pair? (I feel like this exists already)
-Izumi can absorb Mina's acids to make herself bigger and gain the properties
-Gains properties/abilities based on things she ingests
-Needs a large amount of stuff and it's temporary? (Metal slime, elements, effects like poison/acid/sleep/paralyze)
Scylla:
-Lives in a cove or underwater cave around the shallows?
-Yui Pair (Headcanon hobbies are boating, fishing, and diving cause she's from Shimane)
-Both struggle to communicate?
-One saves the other during one of Yui's dives?
Dragonewt (Wyvern. Use other subsets too?):
-Ryukyu? Other heroine? Older Izumi who lives in the wild, long removed from society, and is mostly by animal instinct.
-Finds injured heroine and takes them back to her 'nest' to take care of them.
-Mountain top, Desert, Dense Forest?
-Very secluded location and not easy to leave without her help.
Tsurara-onna:
-Similar to Yuki-onna, use diff premise.
-Pairing? Slight basis on Tsurara-onna mythology, Pair mainly sees and interacts with her in the winter.
-Countryside, visiting family during the winter season and meeting Izumi?
-Alt, pair moves out to countryside and is lonely.
-Did so to run away/avoid something?
-First winter there is when they meet Izumi.
-When winter is over then Izumi is no longer there, both ideas?
Nekomata:
-Actual yokai or pretending?
-Older Izumi, goes wherever she pleases mainly during the night.
-Often goes about in cat form, still has two tails
-Randomly helps out and/or somehow becomes a mascot for the Wild Wild Pussycats (In cat form)
-They think she's a cat with a quirk?
-Earnest yet mischievous
Monster girls. There's not much else to say. Also mutated/extra features are fun and it opens up the range for more abilities, instincts, etc...Again, not sure if I'd simply add all these to the yuri collection or make a separate fic specifically for Monster Girl Izumi but I figured I'd put the idea out there.

(Scarlet Strings)?
Midoriya was...eccentric to say the least.
If she and Tokage got together then you were bound to find them laughing to themselves amidst a sea of off put faces. Considering their quirks, the two green haired girls were a bit desensitized to body horror. Between Tokage splitting up her various body parts, her head chief among them, and Midoriya tending to use her split mouth as a recurring gag then it was no wonder why their senses of humor didn't quite land with others.
Quirk: Blood Ignition
-Can control her blood into threads and light them on fire (Inspired by Zapp Renfro from Blood Blockade Battlefront)
-Split her mouth due to an accident when she was young (Kuchisake-onna design element, stitches it with her quirk)
-Many people thought it was creepy/scary alongside her quirk but she ended up finding it funny to spook people by 'resplitting' her mouth
-Wears a face mask, not because she's ashamed or anything, to then prank others now
-Uses her quirk from her mouth slits, holding her fingers up to pluck at the strings to move them and change their tensions
-Became really fast friends with Setsuna
-Reiko Pairing? (Always fails to spook her?)
I've sort of pitched this idea before as a Kuchisake-onna Izumi but I never detailed out a quirk save just thinking of a basic ability. In that idea though Izumi is an actual kuchisake-onna and murders killers so it would be a horror style fic. She'd use her threads in ways that were hard to see and chase her prey into them and either bind them and burn them or loop the threads around their body parts, have them run into them, or drop on them to sever and kill them.
This one though has her as a hero student, who just gets a kick out of freaking people out, and is focusing on being a rescue hero. She also looks up to Ms. Joke in this one. Her favorite gag is anything to do with 'resplitting' her mouth (While she eats, when she laughs or gets excited, etc...)

"Then you absolutely gotta promise not to laugh," (Izumi)

"I...wanted to be a magical girl," "I know it's childish and yeah they were just shows but..." "When a magical girl wins cause she got strength from everyone and they all cheer and stuff cause she saved them..." (Izumi)

I've had numerous ideas for this premise but haven't acted on it yet, but my need to write Gyaru Izumi is at an all time high. In these two draft ideas I'd have her be quirkless and getting OFA. The first idea generally uses the canon background but Izumi is in a more sibling like relationship with Bakugo, he would have ended up bullying her if she didn't instead almost rip his hair out for it when they were little kids, and the other idea is one in which she is from somewhere else and doesn't know Bakugo. Either way, she still finds heroes to be really cool.
The idea of Gyaru Izumi totally washing people quickly cause any longer would fuck up her hair killed me. Then for her to take to OFA easier cause she's in better shape due to wanting to look good and being a total ride due to her personality being all over was even more fun. Also *EXTREMELY VAGUE SPOILERS* that new chapter and that person's design? No wonder I've been extra inspired for this idea. *SPOILERS END*
Anyway, Gyaru Izumi needs to exist. (Though how much lingo I can actually translate is an ordeal.)
A lot of the ideas ended up with different paths to go on but I can weave a few into each other while others I'll simply decide which I'm more taken with or what people are more interested in overall. I'm working on some Waning Moon and Wasteful Days of Class 1-B so hopefully those get updated soon.
