AN-So I have a confession to make. Some time in the middle of season 6, I just lost interest in Rick and Morty and I've not had any interest in finishing that season. This doesn't mean I'm dropping the fic. I'm planning for this to go another two seasons before finishing it. However, a lot of season 5 and 6 aren't getting adapted and I'm kinda just not paying attention to where the show goes from here. I've had people ask about newer episodes in the past and if they'll be adapted so I thought it best to tell y'all the direction this fic's taking from here on out.
...
"Game! Game!" Lily babbled as she played on the controller. Lincoln had managed to teach her how to play video games and was currently playing a game of Muscle Fish with her. As best she could anyway.
"Um, what's going on?" Lori asked. Lincoln looked to see her and the rest of his sisters giving him an odd look.
"I'm playing a game with Lily." Lincoln answered simply. "Is there something wrong with that?"
Lori shook her head. "No, no, it's just...you've been hanging with Lily all day. And all yesterday."
It was Lincoln's turn to give his sisters an odd look. "So? I've been hanging with Lily so I can teach her about all the stuff I like."
"KO! PLAYER LILY WINS!" The game announcer suddenly said. As Lincoln was distracted, Lily had managed to beat him.
"Lily win!" Lily beamed as she raised her hands and giggled.
After staring at the screen in surprise, Lincoln turned back to his sisters. "See, you guys don't usually like the stuff that I do so I but since Lily's so young, I could try getting her into the kinds of stuff I like."
"I see." Lori replied in a neutral tone. "So, I'm guessing you packed your bags already then?"
"Huh?"
Lori gave Lincoln a pointed look. "Seriously? Did you forget that we're supposed to be going on vacation today?"
Lincoln blinked before panicking. "Oh crud!"
...
After the family had collectively saved up their money, the Loud family had finally made enough to go on vacation to the Weeping Willow Resort & Lodge on Lake Michigan. As Lynn Sr. was placing everyone's bags on top of Vanzilla, Rita came out, carrying some more bags. "Let's see, work's taken care of, Mr. Grouse is keeping an eye on the house, Clyde and the McBrides are taking care of Walt and Geo."
"Just a few more things and we'll all be..." Lynn Sr. trailed off as he noticed Rick come out. "Uh, hey Dad, did you pack anything?"
Rick, who had not contributed any money to this vacation, scoffed. "I have a portal gun. Why would I need to pack any luggage. Also why are we wasting money going to a lame resort. We could literally go anywhere in the galaxy."
Rita frowned. "Well for once, we thought it'd be nice to take a vacation like a normal family for once. Is that so wrong, Rick?"
"I wouldn't exactly call having eleven kids something a normal family does either but you do you, Rita." Rick said, getting into the van before Rita had a chance to reply.
Rita huffed. "Ugh! Why does he get like this?" She then stomped back into the house to get more luggage with Lynn Sr. following after her.
As they left, the siblings all left the house with their luggage, all chattering excitedly amongst themselves. Lucy was trailing behind them as she was carrying out a small coffin. "Why are you bringing that on vacation?" Lola asked.
"You have your sunblock, I have mine." Lucy replied.
...
After everyone got into the van, Lynn Sr. spoke to everyone. "Alright, let's get a move on. According to the reviews, the hotel has a very strict check-in policy. If we're not there by eight, they could give away our rooms!" He then started up the van. "Ok, here we go. Loud Vacation time! Can I get a 'What what?'"
"What what?" Everyone except Rick chanted back.
...
As the van drove down a highway, Lori was sat next to Lily as she was showing her an episode of her favourite reality show on her phone. "Now, Dylan can only pick one girl to spend the rest of his life with. And it'd better be Marisol." Lily blew a raspberry. "Yeah, you're right. Maybe he will be happier with Tiffany."
"Uh, what are you doing?" Lincoln asked, trying to hide the annoyance in his voice.
Lori gave Lincoln an annoyed look back. "What? Am I not allowed to get Lily into stuff I like? I've literally waited seventeen years for someone to watch this with!"
"Why would she want to watch that dumb show." Lola asked. "I bet she'd want to have a tea party with me."
"Nuh uh!" Lana argued. "I bet want she'd really want is to play with me and Izzy!"
"No she doesn't."
"Yes she does!"
"Kids!" Rita raised her voice. "Don't start fighting. We've only just set off!"
Rick's phone then started buzzing. After looking at the text, he picked his phone away. However, his phone continued buzzing. "Who's that?" Lori asked.
"Nobody." Rick replied before grumbling to himself. "Damn it, I didn't think she had this number."
A mischievous smirk appeared on Lola's face before she snatched Rick's phone from him. "Hey! Give it back, Lola!"
Lola read the text before gasping. "Rick. Please answer me. I'm pregnant?!"
Lori stared at Rick in disbelief. "Rick, you didn't!"
Rick snatched his phone back. "You're right. There's no way those kids are mine."
"Can we not have this conversation now?" Rita pleaded.
"Agreed." Rick added.
"But what if she really is pregnant?" Leni asked worriedly. "Aren't you like, abandoning your kids?"
"That's pretty messed up brah." Luna added.
Rick contemplated this in silence for a moment before speaking. "Ok, on second thought, since you all insisted I guess we can all go check out if this is legit."
"What!" Rita exclaimed. "But what about the vacation?"
Rick rolled his eyes. "Yeah I'm sure this vacation would have been a real... fun, hijinks filled adventure but... I'll be honest, this seems more interesting."
"But what about-" Lynn Sr. said before Rick cut him off.
"I'll pay back however much money you spent if we don't check in on time. We can just do the dumb vacation next week or whatever if that happens." Rick then activated something in the van, causing it to transform.
"Hey, what the?!" Lynn Sr. exclaimed as his seat swapped with Rick's. Wings then came out of the van, rocket thrusters came out of the back and the wheels rotated around as the van lifted off into the air. "Since when did you do this to the van?" Lynn Sr. asked Rick.
"Oh, most of this was Lana. I only helped a little bit." Rick replied as Lana beamed with pride.
"Lana did this?" Lynn Sr. asked, his eyes wide in disbelief. "I knew she was good with cars but..."
"Yeah, turns out Lisa isn't the only genius among your kids. What, have you not been paying attention to your kids or something?"
"I..." Lynn Sr. didn't seem to have answer for this as he turned to look outside the window in embarrassment and shame.
...
Rick flew Vanzilla close to a large, green and reddish planet. He fiddled with a device connected to the van before speaking. "Hello, Gaia. Hold on. Let me just adjust my Seismic-to-English translator."
After a moment, a feminine voice came out of the translator. "Rick. You came."
The Loud family all looked at Rick in confusion before Leni let out a gasp. "Wait, you were in a relationship with a planet?!"
Lisa scoffed. "Leni, that's preposterous."
"Uh...actually that's right." Rick admitted.
"WHAT?!" Everyone else in the van exclaimed.
"Yeah, I'll admit, I did not expect any of you to figure out that quick. Kinda ruined the dramatic reveal there."
"But, she's like, right there." A confused Leni argued.
"Y-Yeah, I know, Leni."
...
After landing, the Loud family found themselves following Rick through a forest as he appeared to be following a radar. "We've really abandoned our vacation for this?" An annoyed Rita complained.
"Oh, I'm sure it's not that bad." Lynn Sr. argued. "We'll probably have just as much fun here as we would at that resort, right Dad?"
"Huh? Oh yeah, sure, sure." Rick replied, not really paying attention.
"Forgive me for being skeptical but I find it hard to believe that a human was able to have sexual intercourse with a planet." Lisa remarked.
Lori gave Lisa a disgusted look. "Ew, can you not please not describe it like that?"
After a bit more walking as the radar started beeping faster and faster, the family had stopped at an extremely large crater with a strange blue hole in the middle. "Ah, where the magic happened." Rick remarked, earning some grossed out looks from the siblings and extremely concerned looks from Rita and Lynn Sr.. "Hey, uh, Gaia, baby, Big Daddy Rick is here. What's the problem?"
A voice came from Rick's translator, which was now attached to his waste. "Children. Birth cycle. Now."
At this, the ground started started shaking. "Ok, gettin' right into it." Rick commented.
Suddenly, the hole erupted like a geyser as thousands of humanoid rock aliens resembling almost flat clay figures with spikes on their heads. For some reason, they all kept repeating. "I am."
Rita stared up in horror. "Please don't tell me that this is what I think this is."
Lisa was also staring up in disbelief. "H-How is is this even remotely scientifically possible?"
The Loud family were then staring in horror for a different reason as they realised that some of these aliens were breaking apart upon landing back down to the ground. "Rick, do something! They're dying." Lori shouted.
"You think I know how to stop this? I thought she was gonna shit an egg." Rick admitted.
Thankfully it stopped as luckily, most of then landed on top of each other, leaving a huge pile of Gaia's children in the middle of the crater. Luan nodded as she sarcastically clapped her hands. "Yeah, this was definitely worth going to instead of a dumb resort. Very educational."
A voice came from Rick's translator again. "More coming. Kids. Need father."
"Yeah, I've yet to see any sufficient proof that they're mine." Rick argued.
"They literally look just like you." Lori countered.
"I could run a quick DNA test." Lisa offered.
"You didn't even believe this was possible a moment ago." Rick pointed out."
"I adapt quickly."
Rick rolled his eyes. "Ok, even if I am their father, the best parent is evolution. They'll probably develop harder skin or maybe even webbed arms. Man, that'd be cool, huh? Flying squirrel people?"
Lynn Sr. looked somewhat uncomfortable. "Um, Dad are you sure about that? I mean, if these are really yours then...wouldn't you feel bad for abandoning them?"
Rick stared at Lynn Sr. blankly for a moment before groaning. "Fine. I'll stay to help start up their society. Just don't complain to me about missing that vacation." He moved down one layer into the crater before speaking to Gaia. "Gaia, baby, gonna need a little raw iron and steam."
"Whatever you need, baby." Gaia replied as a large circle of iron and steam appeared within the inside of the crater. Rick then got a device from his coat pocket and pressed a button on it. A cube shaped drone then came out of Vanzilla and flew over until it parked on top of the ring of iron. Two metal tubes them came out of them, eventually forming a ring over the ring of iron before extending inwards. Eventually, a building was formed on top the hole just in time for the next eruption. The children of Gaia were able to safely come out as they exited out of the building through a number of large tubes coming from it. "Welcome to a lack of abandonment." Rick greeted as the children crawled out of the tubes, all still repeating 'I am'.
...
As the children of Gaia continued coming, Rick, who was currently without his lab coat and was now wearing a hardhat, due to the facility still needing some construction, stared down at a blueprint he had made to sort out filtering the children of Gaia in order to make a productive society. As he tried to work out any potential issues in his head, Lynn Sr. approached him with an unsure look on his face. "Hey Dad, um...heh, can't say this is how I expected our vacation to turn out."
"You asked for this, Lynn. You've lost any right to complain." Rick replied plainly.
"I-I'm not complaining, it's just...we kinda don't know what to do with ourselves now. Hey, maybe I could help with..." Lynn Sr. looked at Rick's blueprints in confusion. "Uh, what exactly are you doing now?"
"Planning out how to make sure their society is productive." Rick pointed to the blueprint. "I'm thinking I should divert the Lawyer Pipeline here so they should avoid the Ethics Tube and come out spineless enough to do their job." He looked at Lynn Sr.. "You get any of that?"
Lynn Sr. stared at Rick before slouching. "Yeah, that might be a little out of my area of expertise." He sighed. "It's just that... I was really hoping to spend some time with you this vacation."
Rick paused at this but before he could reply, Rita then approached the two. "Have either of you two seen Lily?"
...
In another room within the Gaia facility, Lisa let out an evil laugh as she currently had Lisa lying down on a testing table. Lily was wearing a helmet connected by wires to a machine. "Poo poo." Lily said, unaware if what was happening.
Lisa was about to pull the switch before Lincoln suddenly grabbed her hand. "Hold it! Are you nuts?!"
"Come on, Lincoln!" Lisa pleaded. "No one in this family ever willingly lets me do experiments on them!"
Lincoln gave her a disturbed look. "Lisa! She's a baby!"
"I'd argue she's a toddler but I was going to give her a sucker afterward." Lincoln facepalmed at this.
The rest of the siblings then came into the room, some which look annoyed upon noticing Lincoln. "Lincoln, haven't you hung out with Lily enough today?" Lori asked.
"I wanted to show her my fashion magazines." Leni said.
"I wanted to introduce some of my ghost friends." Lucy added.
Eventually all the siblings started bickering over who should get to hang out with Lily as Lily herself stared at everyone in confusion. None of them noticed Rick coming into the room to pick up Lily. "Uh, actually, I'm hanging out with Lily today." As the siblings all voiced their complaints about this, Rick pinched the bridge of his nose. "Jesus, why're you all obsessed with trying to mold Lily into a little clone of yourselves? You know what, if you're all that obsessed with molding people into what you want them to be, I've got something better for you kids to do."
...
At the top floor of the Gaia facility, the siblings were with Rick as he pushed a button on a panel. They then watched out of the window as ten gigantic walls came out of the facility before all meeting at the other side of the planet. "There we go, I've divided Gaia's children equally into each of these areas and given each of you a ton of resources. All of you get one area each to do whatever you want with it and the people in it. They're basically your domains now." Rick explained.
All of the siblings couldn't quite believe what they were hearing. "Wait, are you saying we're...ruling a tenth of the planet each?" Lori asked.
"Yep." Rick pointed to two of the split off areas. "That's Lincoln's country, that's Luna's country and so on. You're basically king and queens now. You can mold your countries and citizens any way you want to now.
The siblings all stared in shock though some of them soon came around to this idea as Lola let out a devious giggle. "I've always secretly dreamed of this."
Rick then handed each of them a device. "Also if things end up turning out badly and your people turn on you for whatever reason, just press this and you'll get a portal to back here. Whatever else you do is none of my business."
...
After dropping off the siblings in each of their countries, Rick returned with Lily to the Gaia facility to see Lynn Sr. and Rita with concerned looks on their faces. "Rick, did you seriously just give all our kids their own country?" Rita asked.
"They'll be fine, Rita, it's all under control." Rick assured her. "This could be a good thing for them. If it works out, they're pretty much set for life."
Rita narrowed her eyes. "Rick, they're children. What makes you think they know the first about running a country?"
Rick shrugged. "Can't be any worse than any politician or monarch on Earth." Rick waved his hand dismissively. "They'll be fine. They have royalty in their blood so maybe it'll come naturally to them or something, I don't know."
Rita gave Rick an odd look. "Sorry, what was that again?"
"Don't worry about it." Rick grinned. "Besides with all the kids out the way, that finally gives the four of us the chance to hang out for once. Eh?"
Lynn Sr. couldn't help but grin while Rita let out a sigh.
...
Lincoln stared out at a large crowd of Gaia's children, all looking at him expectantly. He couldn't help but gulp. "Uh, hey guys." He said while waving at them.
"Hey." All of them replied while copying Lincoln's waving.
"Ok, this is really weird." Lincoln remarked. "Sooo, you guys don't know how to do stuff like read or write, do you?"
"What is reading?" One of the children asked
An idea then popped into Lincoln's head as a smirk appeared on his face. "Let me show you a story about a little someone called Ace Savvy." He said as he got out one of his Ace Savvy comics.
...
A stressed out Lori pinched the bridge of her nose. "I literally can't believe Rick tried to leave this to us." She, doing the best she could, was trying to plan out how she was going to run this society, currently focusing on having Gaia's children build some houses for everyone to live in with the resources Rick had left her, along with what they could get from nature. Her first thought was to focus on farming for food but she didn't even know what these people ate. Her next thought was to focus on schools and other educational facilities but who would run them. Literally everyone here was just born. "Is something wrong?" One of the children asked as he came into her office.
"I'm fine!" Lori insisted. "Just focus on building as many houses as possible."
The child of Gaia looked concerned. "But..."
"No buts!" Lori shouted. "I'm in charge here so just do as I say and get back to work.
"Ok." The child of Gaia replied before leaving Lori's office.
Lori ran a hand there her hair. She really did not want this kind of responsibility. Trying to take care of her siblings was hard enough. She wondered how the rest of them were handling it.
...
This was a rather awkward position for Lynn. It was strange how this was the second time she was put in this kind of position of authority. And she wasn't exactly proud of the first time.
She was currently pacing back and forth while her citizens gave her an expectant look. She didn't really know how to run a country but it seemed things worked out when she was President. Kind of. Maybe doing the same thing here will get similar results.
A child of gaia raised their hand. "Are you our queen?"
Lynn stopped pacing and turned to her citizens. "Ok, listen, I don't exactly know what I'm doing so if there's something you want to do, just do it. And if someone tries to stop you, I guess just don't let them?" She shrugged at that last part, already unsure if this was a good idea as her citizens all glanced at each other before deciding to just do whatever came naturally to them.
...
Lisa wasted no time whatsoever putting her people to work, having already planned out how to create the perfect society, using the resources she was given to the fullest. She had already built a few facilities in order to test what job would suit each of her citizens. She scoffed to herself as she watched her workers build one of these facilities. "And they say running a country is hard."
One of the children of Gaia approached her. "Your majesty, why are we doing this?"
Lisa gave the worker an odd look. "Isn't it obvious? We're currently working towards building a perfect and thriving society."
"What'll we do after that?"
"After that, we'll simply continue to improve and innovate. It's not like we'll stop at any point. Progress never ends. Now let's get back to work, we don't have time for inane questions."
...
"Would you like some cake, your majesty?" One of Lola's servants holding a plate with a slice of cake asked her.
"Thank you." Lola said as she took the cake. "That will be all."
The servant bowed before leaving Lola's throne room. If Lola was going to be a queen, then she was going to live like one as she had her servants build a huge, fairytale themed castle for her and was now wearing a more queenly outfit.
She wasn't exactly sure how the rest of her citizens were doing but she was sure they'll cheer and adore her whenever they'll see her.
...
"What's up aunts and uncles?!" Luna shouted into a microphone. "Are you all ready to rock?!"
The humongous stadium full of millions of her adoring fans erupted into cheers at this. Before she started playing, Luna couldn't help but grin. She had finally become a rock star!
...
"Come on guys! Follow my lead!" Lana shouted out to the pack behind her as explored jungles to see what this planet had to offer. Since Lana was a queen now, she had decided to take this opportunity to be a real wild child, seeing what it'd be like to live out in the wild without people nagging her about cleanliness or hygiene.
As she prowled around the jungle like a wolf, one of her pack members came up to her. "Lana. Tired."
"So just go to sleep then." Lana replied. "You can sleep wherever you want out here."
"Me saw Grungo build something. He said it protect from cold."
Lana scoffed. "Like we need any houses. Living out in the wild's way more fun. Trust me, you guys don't need any of that junk."
As Lana hopped off, a scowl appeared on the child if Gaia's face. "House bad."
...
It didn't take long for Lucy to create her own gothic paradise. How thoughtful it was of Rick to supply so much black paint.
Lucy was currently hosting a nationwide funeral for the children of Gaia that Rick wasn't able to save. "We're gathered here today to honour those that weren't able to make it here today." Before Lucy could continue, a child of Gaia raised their hand. "Yes?"
"Why are we doing this?"
"To honour those that we have lost and to help their spirits rest in peace." Lucy answered.
Another child of Gaia raised their hand. "What's a spirit?"
"Sigh. They're our souls that leave our body after we die."
"Where do we go when we die?" Another child of Gaia asked.
"I'm...not actually sure about that."
The children of Gaia muttered to themselves nervously upon hearing this.
...
Circus music could be heard all around as Luan had decided to build the biggest carnival/circus anyone had ever seen. She was currently judging some would be performers trying out a clown act. "Now I'm gonna throw this pie at you." One of the children of Gaia said to another.
Luan shook her head. "No, no, it's not funny if it's that predictable. You gotta surprise your audience."
"Is this where we live now?" The other child of Gaia asked.
Luan shrugged. "If you want. It's not really any of my business."
"Aren't you our queen?"
"Yeah, but it's not like I have any idea how to run a country. I'm just here to have fun with it."
...
Leni stood like a deer caught in headlights as her citizens all stared at her expectantly. Eventually, she spoke. "So like... how do you be a queen?"
The children of Gaia stared at Leni in confusion. Gulping nervously, she dedicated to give Rick a call.
...
While Rita was playing with Lily, Lynn Sr. was hanging out with Rick as Rick had made his own bar to sit and drink at. Lynn Sr. chuckled. "Man, how long has it been since we were able to hang out like this?"
Rick grinned. "Too long, Lynn, too long." His phone then started ringing. "Uh, hang on a sec." He answered it. "What is it, Leni."
"Grandpa Rick, I have no idea how to rule a country." Leni confessed.
"You want out?"
Leni hesitated to answer. "I don't know. I don't want to just abandon them."
Rick sighed. "Ok, if you want my advice then...I guess just listen to what your people have to say?"
Leni smiled. "Ooh, good idea!"
"Also maybe you'll want to organise some kind of council of your smartest people to help organise stuff."
"Ok." Leni said before shouting to her citizens. "Which one of you is the smartest?"
Rick sighed again. "Look, I'll send you an IQ test for everyone in your country to take. How does that sound?"
"Ok!" Leni replied cheerfully.
...
Once Rick had finished dealing with Leni, he returned to the bar where Lynn Sr. was still waiting. "Is everything okay with Leni?" Lynn Sr. asked.
"Yeah, everything's under control, don't worry about it."
Lynn Sr. let out a sigh of relief. "Good." After a moment of silence, he spoke again. "Hey, don't tell Rita about this but I'm really glad you came back into our lives. Taking care of the kids is a lot easier with you around."
Rick gave Lynn Sr. a surprised look. "Really?"
"Yeah, taking care of eleven kids at once isn't always easy. Sometimes it felt like I had to pick and choose which kids needed the most attention." Lynn Sr. frowned. "But I don't want any of them thinking I favour any of them over the others. Reminds me of when I was a kid. My stepdad dad used to play favorites all the time and it drove me nuts."
...
A young Lynn Sr. came out of his house while he was mixing something in a bowl. "Hey Dad, you ready to make some Key Lynn Pie with me?" Unfortunately he only just managed to catch his stepdad leaving in the van with his stepbrother. His eyes watered. "Oh, they must've had other plans. I guess I can make it by myself." He tried to go back into the house, only to realise he locked himself out. "Ding dang darn it!"
...
Rick stared at Lynn Sr. in surprise. "Oh, wow. That must've sucked."
Lynn Sr.'s eyes widened as he waved his hands. "Oh, don't get me wrong, it's not like he was a bad dad or anything." He then looked downcast. "Even if we rarely got to see him. Being a fisherman kept him pretty busy."
"Yeah...what was his name, Leonard?"
"Yeah..." Lynn Sr. chuckled. "Shame you never got to saw him. You'd think me and him really were related, we looked so similar."
Rick looked uncomfortable. "Yeah, I... look, I'm sorry that I couldn't be there for you when you were a kid."
Lynn Sr. waved his arm dismissively. "Hey, no big deal. You couldn't stay because of that Galactic Federation stuff, right? You were just trying to protect me, right?"
Rick hesitated to answer. "Y-Yeah, that. I just wanted to say that if I had any real choice in the matter, I wouldn't have abandoned you and your mom."
Lynn Sr. smiled. "Well, I'm really happy to hear you say that, Dad."
Rick smiled as well. Even if a part of him felt pretty twisted in doing so. "Al-Also don't worry about feeling like you're favouring any of your kids. I'm pretty sure they don't feel the same."
Lynn Sr. let out a sigh of relief. "Well that's good to know at least."
...
Some time had passed since the Loud family came to Gaia. No one was really sure how long since day and night worked differently on this planet. Lincoln had created his own geeky paradise, based completely around TV, comics and video games. He was currently watching a competitive video game tournament from his own private booth. "This is the life." He said to himself as he took a bite from his peanut butter and sauerkraut sandwich. At that moment, one of Lincoln's assistants entered the booth. "What's going on, Dunkle?"
"We have a problem, we've run out of resources to make any more comics or video games." Dunkle said gravely.
Lincoln's eyes widened. "Wait, what?"
"That's not all. The people are complaining that there isn't enough food or shelter. What should we do, King Lincoln?"
Lincoln smiled nervously. "I-I'm sure I can think of something. Eventually..."
...
While Lola was having her own private tea party with her maids and butlers, another maid burst into the room. "Your majesty, we have emergency! There isn't enough food for everyone. The people are revolting!"
"Let them eat some cake or something then." Lola said, not really taking this seriously.
"I don't think that'll be enough. A mob just broke into the castle aiming to overthrow you.
At that moment, the angry mob all broke into the thrown room, all chanting. "Down with the queen!"
Lola yelped at the site of them before quickly getting out the emergency device and pressing the button on it. A portal then appeared next to her which she quickly jumped into.
...
Lola emerged from the portal into a room somewhere in the Gaia facility where Lori was playing with Lily. Lori raised an eyebrow at Lola. "You know, I literally had a feeling your kingdom would fall first."
Lola scowled at Lori. "What are you doing here then?
"I quit." Lori stated plainly. "I literally did not want the responsibility of ruling an entire country so I just quit. It shouldn't have been my responsibility to begin with."
Another portal appeared as Luan casually stepped out of it. "Well that was fun."
"You quit too?" Lori asked.
Luan shook her head. "Nah, I got overthrown. It was fun while it lasted though."
...
Unlike in Lynn's fantasy world, it didn't take long for Lynn's country to become a lawless wasteland. Lynn was currently in her super-powered form, trying to wave off a group of thugs trying to overthrow her. "Stay back! I don't want to fight any of you!"
"That is why you are weak!" One of the thugs shouted. "Only the strong deserve to rule!"
"Oh yeah, well-" Lynn was cut off as she turned back to normal, forgetting that her power had a time limit. "Dang it." With what little energy she had left, she got out her emergency device.
...
Lisa stared in confusion at a graph reviewing worker productivity. Everything seemed fine at first but over time, productivity and general morale have gone continuously downwards. "I don't understand. Everything should be going perfectly." She was currently in a meeting room with a council she had assembled though all of them looked either tired or depressed. "Why is everything going wrong."
A council member raised his hand. "I don't think I want to work anymore."
Lisa scowled. "Excuse me?"
"Why are we even doing this?" Another council member asked. "Is this all there is to life? Just work? What is our purpose?"
"W-We're trying to make a better society!" Lisa stuttered.
"What does that even mean?!"
"Wait a moment." Another council member spoke. "The only person that says we have to work is the queen. If we don't have a queen, does that mean we don't have to work?"
After a moment, the entire council all glared at Lisa. Her eyes widened. "Oh crud."
...
While living out in the jungle was fun at first, Lana soon realised there was drawbacks to this. Her clothes were extremely filthy, even by her own standards and trying to find food wasn't so easy either. Plus sleeping out in the cold wasn't always fun. Not to mention she missed tinkering with things. She was currently trying to have a nap when she heard a commotion coming from her pack. "Huh?"
She went over to her pack to see them all ganging up on someone. "Hey, what's going on here?"
The pack backed away so Lana could see the child of Gaia they were ganging up on. He was holding what looked like a wooden wheel. "Me invent wheel." He explained. "Help make getting around jungle easier."
"Wheel bad!" A pack member shouted. "Grunko defy nature."
"Guys relax." Lana pleaded. "It's not like technology is bad or anything."
The pack members all then glared at Lana. "Technology bad! Queen Lana enemy of nature!"
Lana's eyes widened. "Uh oh."
...
Lucy stared in horror at what her people were doing. They surrounded a child of gaia tied to a post surrounded by wood. All of them were holding fire torches. "What are you all doing?!"
A child of Gaia dressed like a dark priest turned to her. "We are sacrificing this lost soul so that our God, Ltoloxa, may give us his blessings."
"Wait, who?" Lucy shook her head. "Ugh, you can't just kill people over...this!"
"Why not? Was it not you that stated that death was nothing to fear?"
"That doesn't make killing people okay! How do you even know this God is real?"
The priest and his followers all gasped at this. "The queen is a heretic!" The priest announced before turning to his followers. "If we are to appease Ltoloxa and gain his forgiveness, the queen must be sacrificed!"
"Gulp." Was Lucy's only response as she began frantically pressing the button on her emergency device.
...
Lincoln was pacing back and forth in his room when he heard someone knock on his door. "Who is it?"
"'Sup bro." Luna greeted casually as she came in.
"Luna? What are you doing here?"
"I got overthrown." Luna admitted. "Turns out you can't really build a city on rock and roll."
"But what about that thing Rick gave you?"
"I lost it. Good thing all they did was kick me out of the country. Thought I'd come here and use yours."
"Right..." Lincoln held his chin in thought. "Now, where did I put it again?"
Luna slumped in disappointment. "Don't tell me you lost it too?"
"I'm...sure it's around here somewhere."
Both of them then heard what sounded like chanting. "You hear that bro?"
Lincoln's eyebrows furrowed. "Yeah..."
Both went to look outside to see that their was a large mob outside of the castle. Lincoln's eyes widened. "That's probably not good."
...
Lincoln and Luna panted as they ran from the mob and into a deep forest. Once it was clear that they lost them, they stopped to catch their breath. "So...turns out a society based on video games and comics wasn't my best plan." Lincoln confessed.
"It's okay, bro. We all make mistakes." Luna assured him. "Guess trying to make people doing things our way ain't the best idea."
Lincoln scratched the back of his head. "Sorry about that whole thing with Lily. I know you guys have been trying to join in on stuff I like lately but I was hoping to have at least one person in the family have the same interests as me. Guess that was pretty selfish, huh?"
Luna shrugged. "Hey, don't worry about it little bro. If you're selfish then so's the rest of us. It's not like I didn't wish one of you guys were into the same bands as me. But hey, I guess that's what friends are for." Luna's eyes then widened. "Whoa, what's that?"
Lincoln turned to where Luna was looking. It looked like there was a large spaceship that had crash landed here. It seemed like it had been there for a while due to it being covered in vines.
...
Lori, Luan, Lynn, Lucy, Lana, Lola, Lisa and Lily were hanging around together until Rick came in to see them. "Well, hope you all learned a valuable lesson. The world doesn't suddenly become better place just because everyone thinks like you."
Lori scowled. "Did you literally just give us our own countries just to try and teach us that."
"No, I gave you them so that I could spend time with my son without having to worry about a million other children." Rick folded his arms. "Personally, I was hoping you kids wouldn't have messed it up so quick."
"Hey, where's Lincoln, Luna and Leni?" Lynn asked.
"Honestly, from what I've seen from Leni's country, she seemed to be handling things pretty well."
"WHAT?!" All the sisters shouted in surprise.
"I know, right? Don't know about Lincoln's and Luna's countries though. Things seem pretty dire over there."
"Well you shouldn't you check to make sure Lincoln and Luna are okay then?"
Before Rick had time to answer, Rita and Lynn Sr. came into the room, looking somewhat nervous. "Uh, Rick, there seems to be a situation happening outside." Rita said.
Rick then heard Gaia speak. "Uh, Rick? Can we talk?"
...
Rick and the Louds stood on a balcony, staring up into the sky. Above them was a giant figure made of clouds. He also appeared to have spiky hair, just like the children of Gaia. "Pam! It's good to see you, baby!" The figure said.
Rick frowned. "Um, Gaia? You know this guy?"
The figure laughed, having heard Rick. "Ha! You call her Gaia? So lame."
Lori's eyes widened in horror. "Is that...God?"
"Rick. The kids. I messed up. You're not their father." Gaia confessed.
"No hard feelings, ok? We thought they were yours, you know, because they're so small." 'God' snarked.
Rick scowled. "Oh, wow. No hard feelings. Y-You hear that, guys? Guy swoops in after we raised his whole civilization and tells us he forgives us. What a fucking mooch!"
"Uh, technically, we raised them while you were hanging out with Dad." Lori clarified.
'God' laughed. "Are you trying to claim moral superiority over me. I can see from here the mess that your children have made."
"Rick, I think you should go." Gaia said.
"Hey, at least one of my kids did a good job." Rick argued.
"Oh this one?" 'God' pointed to Leni's country. "She made my kids soft and empty inside. This country is a monument to nothing! Where is their faith?"
...
Leni stared out of the window of her home at the figure in the sky. "Guys, what's happening?"
"The cloud man in the sky is claiming to be our true father." One of Leni's councilmen explained.
Leni frowned. "Oh no, does this mean you don't want me to be queen any more."
The councilman dropped down to one knee. "My queen, we could not have asked for a more kind, patient and understanding ruler. You have done so much for all of us. We would rather not serve under anyone other than you."
Leni gave a heartfelt smile. "Aww." She then frowned in worry. "But, like, what if he attacks all of you?"
The councilman stood up. "Then we will prepare ourselves. The safety of our citizens is our top priority."
...
"Reggie is right. The children are not ready to leave. He can give them more." Gaia spoke.
"Dad, maybe it'd be best if we just bailed." Lynn Sr. said nervously.
Rick gave Lynn Sr. a pointed look. "This dickbag just insulted your daughter and you're just gonna take that?"
Reggie scowled. "Don't push me, asshole!" He raised his hand, causing all the children of Gaia not from Leni's country to be surrounded by an electrical aura. "My children, I give you my power. Use it to destroy that false queen."
Rick scowled with rage. "Oh, you motherfucker! What, are you insecure about a teenage girl doing a better job than you?"
"You wanna go, bro? I'll kick your ass myself." Reggie challenged.
"Oh, dude, don't tempt me." Rick took off his lab coat and placed a small device on his chest. "When I'm done with you, you'll need a staff to un-part your fucking face."
"Guys. Please. Not in front of the kids." Gaia pleaded.
Reggie then tried to strike Rick with lightning, only for it to be absorbed by Rick's device. "Did you for real just try to smite me? Siri, triangulate source of power." Rick then used the device to scan Reggie, revealing a humanoid figure within the clouds. "Got you now, you son of a bitch." He then pressured the device which caused himself to be covered in an electrical aura before he launched himself, flying towards Reggie.
"Wait, what about the other kids?!" Rita shouted though Rick was too far for him to hear her.
After flying through the clouds, Rick found himself in space where Rick could see Reggie. "Now you see my true form." His true form was a humanoid man with grey hair and a beard, dressed like a Greek god. "The clouds were simply a shape more appealing to Gaia's mind."
"No shit. Any form is more appealing than this. You look like Kid Rock fucked Zeus." Rick snarked. Reggie cracked his neck before glaring down at Rick. "Oh, seriously, you expect me to fight you like this? You're the size of four Empire State Buildings."
"All right, motherfucker." Reggie then shrunk himself down to Rick's size. "Let's go."
Rick let out a battle cry as he flew over and punched Reggie in his face. Reggie responded with a few punches into Rick's gut and face. Rick quickly recovered and head butted Reggie before punching him a few times. Reggie barely staggered from this as he did the same thing before kicking him in his gut, sending him flying towards some meteors. Reggie lost track of Rick for a second until a small piece of meteor hit his forehead followed by another. He then roared as he grabbed a larger meteor piece before slamming it down on Rick's head. Reggie chuckled as Rick appeared to be out of it. "You like that?" Reggie followed up with a couple more punches before grabbing Rick's leg, pulling him towards him and delivering an elbow drop onto him. Before Rick could float away, Reggie grabbed him and punched him a couple more times in the face before Rick started fighting back, punching him a couple times before kicking him in his groin. Reggie punched back a couple more times before Rick grabbed his fist. Rick attempted to punch again before Reggie did the same. The two grunted and glared hatefully at each other as they both tried to overpower the other. However, Rick instead bit into Reggie's hand, causing him to let go, allowing Rick to get a few more punches in, along with another kick to the groin. Once again, Reggie took back control of the fight, punching Rick multiple times in the torso and the face.
...
Lincoln and Luna looked around the spaceship, which was covered in vines from the inside. "Man, how long do you think this ship's been here?" Luna asked.
"Beats me." Lincoln responded. The two then entered the cockpit and flinched upon seeing the corpses of three pilots who had been there so long, their bodies had basically decomposed into skeletons. "Oh, that's gross." Lincoln said, taking a step back.
Luna grabbed Lincoln's shoulder. "Wait, bro. Grandpa Rick taught you how to drive a spaceship, right? Maybe we can use this to get outta here!"
Lincoln looked unsure about this. "I don't know. Couldn't we just call Rick?"
"I tried bro, he ain't answering."
Lincoln sighed. "I guess I'll try." The two then moved the corpses out of the way before Lincoln took a seat at the main control panel.
"You think you can handle this?" Luna asked.
"This isn't really like how Rick's cruiser works." Lincoln admitted. "But it does kinda remind me of my game controllers. Maybe if I just..." Lincoln pressed something, causing the ship to start up.
However, they then heard the sound of something breaking outside. "Uh, what was that?" Luna asked. Lincoln wasn't able to answer as the ship suddenly launched at breakneck speed into the air, causing both siblings to scream. "DUDE, MAKE IT STOP!!"
"I'M TRYING!" Lincoln screamed back.
...
Back at the Gaia facility, the Loud family stared out the window at what they assumed was Leni's country as it was under attack by the children of Gaia from the other countries, apart from the ones from Lucy's as they were still having an existential crisis and the ones from Lisa's country, who couldn't be bothered. Surprisingly, despite Reggie's blessings, Leni's countrymen were doing fine fending them off, preventing any of their enemies scaling the walls. Lori let out a sigh of relief. "Well at least Leni's okay."
Rita still had a concerned look. "But what about Luna and Lincoln?"
...
The fight had not gone well in Rick's favour as he was beaten black and blue. "Ow! All right, all right, stop."
Reggie spat on Rick. "Come on, bitch!"
"Look, you win, okay? Ju... I don't care about the kids. Smite them, raise them to be fucking sheep. Just leave my family alone, ok? They don't have anything to do with this."
"No, bro. I'm a Zeus." Reggie responded before growing to a gargantuan size. He grabbed Rick, keeping him trapped between his finger and his thumb. "I can literally do anything. Think I'm gonna hang around and raise kids? The only lesson they need is right here... fear. And it looks like school's out, bitch."
A struggling Rick tapped out on Reggie's thumb. "I-I think you mean school's in."
"What are... What are you talking about?"
"I-If you're teaching fear, then choking me... school would be in."
"Fine. School's in, bitch." Suddenly Reggie let out a yelp as something crashed into the back of his head.
Rick coughed as Reggie let him go before staring up in confusion as Reggie appeared to be dead. "What the fuck?" He flew over to a wound in Reggie's forehead. He used a laser to unseal the wound, revealing a space ship inside.
...
Lincoln groaned as he and Luna were lying on the ground. "At least I'm not the only one with bad ideas."
"Ya coulda just said you didn't know how to pilot it." Luna argued weakly before coughing.
A laser then cut a hole through the wall as Rick came in. He stared at Lincoln and Luna in shock. "You kids are my fucking heroes!" He went over and helped them up. "You saved Grandpa's life! I fucking love you so much!"
Lincoln and Luna stared at Rick in confusion. "Wait, what's going on?"
"You just helped me kill a Zeus!"
Both of their eyes widened. "We did what?!" Luna yelled.
"No, it's okay, little boopas." Rick assured them. "You kids, you did real good here. You did good." He then went over to the control panel. "Now, we got to get out of here before this guy falls out of the sky. He's generating an ionic cloud from his own belief system."
...
"I think it's over." Luan remarked as the children of Gaia retreated from the battle, their blessings having faded away.
Lisa's eyes widened as she looked up into the sky. "I think we may have bigger issues." The family stared in horror as Reggie's corpse slowly fell towards their planet.
Meanwhile, however, a laboratory in Leni's country had a large laser cannon emerge from its roof. It fired a laser towards the corpse causing it to disintegrate within seconds. The family let out a sigh of relief.
...
Lincoln stared out the window in shock, having seen what happened. "Did...Leni just disintegrate God?"
"Relax, it's just a Zeus. If this was the real God, it... it'd be a completely different story." Rick assured them.
"You killed him." Gaia then spoke in a tense tone.
Rick's eyes widened. "Oh geez. Look, come on Gaia, he was a lying piece of shit. He was going to get your children killed." Gaia was silent for a second, making Rick somewhat nervous. "Gaia?"
"Take your family and leave. Now."
Rick sighed. "Fine."
...
After returning to pick up his family, Rick flew vanzilla to Leni's surprisingly regular yet fashionable home. The news that she had to leave was not taken well by her citizens as they tearfully wished her farewell.
"We'll never forget you!"
"We love you Queen Leni!"
"Please don't go!"
Leni sniffled as she waved goodbye to her citizens. "Goodbye everyone. I'll always remember you!"
Her citizens sobbed as Leni got into the van, which then flew off away from the planet.
Lori couldn't help but stare at Leni in shock. "H-How did you do it?"
Leni shrugged. "I don't know. I just, like, listened to what everyone had to say and tried to make everyone happy."
Lisa scowled. "I find it hard to believe it was that simple."
"Rick, I think we need to have a talk when we get home." Rita stated.
Rick groaned before muttering to himself. "This is why we don't bring you two along for these."
...
After returning home, Rick was watching some TV by himself when someone knocked on the door. Before Rick had a chance to answer it, Clyde suddenly bursted in, without paying any attention to who was in the room. "LINCOLN! You wanna hang out with babies?" He then tore off his clothes, revealing that he was wearing a diaper as he put on a bonnet. "Then let's hang." Clyde's eyes then widened as he realised the only person there was Rick, staring in bewilderment. "Oh, uh, hi Mr. Sanchez. Nice day today, huh?"
Rick frowned. "Clyde, get the fuck out of my house."
