Once Elsa was back in bed, Bruno had told the family what happened and Pepa had gone to fetch the doctor. While waiting, Bruno had checked on Elsa to see if she was still sleeping. He opened the door to Dolores's room and saw that Elsa was asleep. Bruno had went over to the bed and saw his wife snoring lightly. Hearing her and seeing her breathe put Bruno at ease. He was still shaken though by what had happened an hour ago and was still very concerned that some harm had been done to Elsa and the babies. Yes, Elsa was alive and breathing but it did not mean that she or the triplets weren't in danger. Bruno moved closer to Elsa's side and gently grabbed onto her hand. Elsa mumbled then had opened her eyes. She gazed up at the ceiling then looked around fearfully until she saw Bruno beside her.

"You are supposed to be resting." Bruno said.

"I...I was. But then...I began having a nightmare." Elsa replied.

"It's alright. I'm here." Bruno assured, caressing Elsa's cheek.

Elsa smiled at Bruno but then frowned. She remembered how Alma's spirit had tried to drown her. She heard her insane laughter echoing in her ears. She could not let that image or sound out of her head. It felt like the laughter was growing louder in volume as if Alma was right beside her. Elsa's body had tensed and she gripped the sheets. Bruno had noticed then laid a hand on Elsa's shoulder.

"Mi vida, what is it?" Bruno asked, worriedly.

Elsa was panting and panting, staring straight ahead at nothing. She kept hearing the laughter over and over. She gripped the sheets tighter as snowflakes formed on her hands.

'You should have died...It should have been you.' Alma's eerie voice rang out.

Elsa's fear and anger grew and grew as Bruno stared at her, panicked, wondering what was happening to his love. Elsa had finally let out a yell of frustration then a full blast of her magic had emitted and slammed into a wall, freezing it. Elsa fumed as tears ran down her face. Bruno sat on the bed and held onto her.

"Elsa, corazon, it's alright." Bruno whispered.

Elsa's body was trembling in rage. She felt like crying or using her magic again. She just wanted any trace of Alma to go away. Bruno had kept holding Elsa close against him. It wasn't until he placed his hand against Elsa's belly between them and began to rub it gently that Elsa had come out of her distressed trance.

"Calm down, carino. I'm here. It was only a nightmare, you are safe." Bruno said, quietly.

Elsa turned to Bruno. Although she had relaxed, tears were welling in her eyes and running down her cheeks. Elsa had placed her hand on top of Bruno's then she shook her head.

"It wasn't a nightmare, Bruno."

"Then...What was it?"

Alma's laughter had yet again rung through Elsa's ears as if it was mocking her fear. Elsa stared at Bruno then she had hugged him tight and had completely broke down, sobbing against him. Bruno embraced Elsa carefully and gently while rubbing her back soothingly.

"Estas bien, mi amor. Shh, shh." Bruno murmured.

Elsa's sobbing didn't seem to stop as she clutched onto Bruno's ruana. She was feeling so many emotions. Fear, anger, sadness, frustration, hysteria, she felt like she was going insane as her the sound of her crying grew in volume.

Bruno had never Elsa this upset before. He was concerned that whatever upset Elsa was more personal. It couldn't have been a nightmare then. It had taken awhile...but eventually, Elsa's sobs had reduced to sniffling and hiccups but she held onto Bruno as tight as she could.

"I...I saw her, Bruno. She wanted to kill me." Elsa finally said.

"Who?" Bruno asked, confusingly.

Bruno gently moved Elsa away from his arms and she looked up at him then he had pressed their foreheads together as Bruno now rested his hands against Elsa's face.

"Who had tried to kill you, corazon?"

"I don't want to tell because you'll think I'm crazy." Elsa sniffled.

"I could never think you're crazy." Bruno said, smiling a little.

Elsa had also smiled back then...a little but then she had continued frowning. Elsa heard Alma's laughter over and over but she tried to block it out as she stared at Bruno. She let out a heavy sigh then had looked down at the ground.

"It...It was the spirit of your mother." Elsa said, her voice barely audible.

Bruno had looked at Elsa in surprise. He did not know what to say. He was always superstitious and had believed in the legend that spirits roamed the earth. So, as strange as Elsa sounded...he didn't think she was lying.

"My...mother?"

Elsa had looked back up at Bruno then nodded. Before Bruno could say anything else, there was a knock at the door. The couple had turned to see Julieta arrive with the doctor.

"Elsa, you're awake." Julieta said, looking relieved.

"It does appear so and it also appears that you need to have an immediate examination too, my dear." The doctor added.

Elsa had nodded then the doctor had gone over to the bed. Bruno decided he wanted to stay with Elsa this time. After having so many attempts on her life lately, he had become more and more protective of his wife and their triplets. The doctor said it was alright...but only this once. Bruno had kept his distance but made sure Elsa could see him. Elsa had kept her focus on Bruno as the doctor had checked up on her. When it was time for the doctor to listen to the babies' heartbeats, both Elsa and Bruno had grown nervous. Elsa's near fatal drowning and her sudden episode would have been enough to stress their triplets out. The doctor had then placed the stethoscope against Elsa's belly. The doctor listened and listened and listened some more. Then, a couple minutes later, the doctor had smiled then had looked at Elsa.

"Everybody sounds just fine."

Elsa, Bruno and Julieta all let out huge sighs of relief. As the doctor was packing up, Bruno had returned back to Elsa's side then had grabbed her hand. Elsa smiled lovingly at Bruno then they had kissed.

"They're alright, Bruno."

"You all are."

They had kissed again as the doctor left. When they pulled away, Elsa had yawned then began to close her eyes. She laid back against the pillows as she slowly drifted off to sleep. Bruno covered her up then had touched her cheek then kissed her forehead.

"Rest, mi vida, rest."

Elsa had fallen asleep. When Bruno was certain she comfortable, he had kissed Elsa's forehead again then had gently stroked her belly, trying to soothe the babies to sleep. While doing so, Julieta had come up behind Bruno then had touched his shoulders causing him to turn to her.

"I will let the rest of the family know that everything's going to be okay."

"Gracias, hermana."

Julieta gave Bruno a little hug then she had left the room. As Bruno had felt their babies moving, he could not stop thinking about what Elsa had said to him. If the spirit of his mother was haunting Elsa, wanting to kill her and their unborn children, he knew that she wouldn't stop until she succeeded. How was he going to fix this? They could not return to Arendelle, not now, Elsa was far too along into the pregnancy by this point, any form of traveling would put her and the triplets at risk...but if they stayed right here at Casita, Elsa would be in danger anyway. One thing was certain...this was a problem they couldn't face...alone.
