Chapter 9

Kiyoshi has found the school was abuzz. It seriously was like a beehive, and yet, the order of things has greatly shifted.

After all, by the second day, the students have begun to take aim.

They came after him of course, and yet, throughout the classes, Kiyoshi found he had at least one or two allies along with him. Social studies he had Shin, Math he had Mochi. Lunch, everyone was with him, third class was gym… that is a whole different story in itself. But that is also where the shift of power occurred.

Kiyoshi was with the Fushiguro brothers for this and Rook. The five of them would be unstoppable if put on to a team, yet today it was merely testing basic skills as well as training for a government health thing, he really didn't care much about it.

Rook was 'looking' about the place despite his eyes remaining covered. Kiyoshi was fascinated that he could walk about without fear like his father, Satoru Gojo. Since his eyes are constantly covered as well, but Shin didn't have curse energy… which made him wonder HOW he was doing this.

"So… what goes on here?" Rook asked as he continued to take everything in. "I see three thick ropes and a bell on the roof… isn't this basic training?" he asked the Fushiguros.

"Basic? This is infant shit," Daku stated.

"I know right!" laughed Rook. "I mean, who needs a rope!?"

Kiyoshi watched as Rook did a dead leap from where he stood, he kicked the bell on the roof before dropping back down without even touching the rope. "If this is gym…" But suddenly froze. "I… perhaps shouldn't have done that…"

Kiyoshi peered behind him. The gym teacher froze, so did all the other students who saw what he just did. "Do it again!" the teacher called. "Can you do that again!?"

Rook shrugged as he did it again. Dead leap from where he stood, kicked the bell and came down landing on his two feet effortlessly.

The teacher appeared to be on the brink of tears.

"WE CAN WIN THIS YEAR!" he cried aloud. "Oh, child, my sweet boy! My top student, please, please tell me you are…"

"Can't" Rook said bluntly.

The teacher froze. "What. I was going to ask…"

"You want me to compete? I can't." Rook said once more.

"Same with us," came the Fushiguros.

"And me…" Kiyoshi chimed in. "We're told not to compete in sports, it's unfair to everyone else."

The students burst out laughing.

The teacher wasn't.

Instead, he blew his whistle and turned to those who snickered. "You think this is funny huh? Okay then, let's do this. All you… against the five of them." He decreed. "Are you boys up for it?"

Ankoku stretched himself out. So were Daku and Hoshi.

Rook was at the ready, Kiyoshi nodded.

"Five against twenty? You serious coach?"

"Add a handie cap." Called Rook. "Give everyone here a five… no ten second head start on events that involve running. Also, we can only do running, jumping and sprinting events, if we throw anything, you ain't getting it back." He warned.

There was something about this teacher, he appeared to understand their situation oddly enough, that or Kiyoshi was just reading into it too much.

Either way, they went outside to do this challenge.

"Okay, we will do sprints first, Kiyoshi against these five…" the teacher randomly picked five students who were smirking at this. "Ten second head start right? Are you sure?"

"That's fine," Kiyoshi insisted, he even took the outer lane too. With that, the student stretched and then took their spots.

When the whistle blew, Kiyoshi waited the ten seconds. The other students were a few feet from the finish line when…

WOOOSH!

They were passed!

Kiyoshi blew through them and crossed first without breaking a sweat or even run out of breath.

His peers, were silent.

"Next!" the coach called up Rook…

It became a spectacle.

In fact, it almost felt like a track and field event as the gym class refused to accept defeat by five students. "They're older than we are!" one shouted. He pointed to the Fushiguros.

"We're not as old as you are! We're younger!" protested Hoshi.

"They take drugs" said another.

"If I did, my ass would be black and blue from the ass kicking my mother would give me!" Rook snapped back. "Try something more original why don't you?"

Kiyoshi rolled his eyes to it all, but it was funny to see them get put in their places!

When the class ended, the teacher approached once more. "I… I can understand you gentlemen have your reasons for not competing, but, if that ever changes…"

"We will let you know," Rook said.

He nodded and let the matter rest.

Rook turned to the others and smirked. "Me thinks the reason why this school doesn't have trophies is because the other schools have students with certain… abilities as well."

"Sorcerers no doubt," muttered Kiyoshi.

"We will keep an eye on it, if that's the case. We will be MORE than happy to knock them down some pegs, right?"

"Oh hell yeah!" cheered Daku.

"You who… boys!"

The five turned, they smirked as they noticed the girl's gym class had all come out to watch them. Apparently, some of them are finding them attractive now…
