*Creaking wood door opening*
Cough! Cough! Man, this place is dusty! Proof of my lack of presence. Let me just-*Snap* There we go, bless the author's powers! Anyhow, hello everyone! It has been...A while on this story (Casually looking at the last time I uploaded a chapter; 2019) Wow! almost five years ago...So yeah, I guess the reason I was late was because of my focus on jobs, my process in my gaming channel in Youtube (eddie4gamer) and not having a good idea on how to make this chapter...I guess I could call this a weak chapter, but I'll let you all decide! Anyhow! Enjoy!
A beautiful morning today was, despite being a winter day. We now see our dear Nathan, dressed in an orange winter sweater, at the Train Station. Today was the day Trixie Lunamoon finally returned from her trip from Canterlot.
He was sitting on one of the station's benches, playing a Mobile game on his phone. ('Still, is a shock that I can receive internet in this non-connection world.') All right that's bull-
*Chuu! Chuu!*
His ears perk up at the honking sound of the train. Looking to his left, he saw the vehicle coming into the town's station. Standing up and stretching his legs, Nathan made his way to where the train doors would stop. Once it did, the doors opened up and hundreds of extra characters began to pour out, "Hmm...Where is that juicy girl?" He asked.
"Juicy Girl?"
"HOLY BANANAS SUNDAE WITH SOUR CREPE!" Nathan jumps high and grabs onto the pole he was close to. Looking down, he saw the azure girl in her usual attire, along with a coat, with a raised eyebrow and cocky smirk. "You sooooo did that on purpose."
"Maybe Trixie did, maybe Trixie didn't." The unicorn girl said, "But back to the question, is Trixie that juicy for you?" That smile of hers was getting bigger.
"It depends, love." Nathan, unfazed by that teasing, dropped and went up to her face, making him flinch a bit, "Would you allow me to show you...in private?"
The result was just as he expected. Trixie began to turn red, before pushing him back, "T-Trixie didn't need to hear that, you pervert!" And with that, the tsundere was back.
"Hahaha! You thought about it! I'm done!" It was at that moment that Trixie knew...she was teased and played. Glaring at the orange-haired, she almost yelps as he captures her in a hug. "Glad to see you're okay...I mean it." Her cheeks turned red when she heard those caring words...She couldn't help but feel happy about it.
Her mind finally regains consciousness, and she quickly pushes him back with an embarrassed expression. "Y-Your concern was unnecessary, but Trixie appreciated it! N-Now, help Trixie with her stuff!" With a bright blue light coming from her horn, several bags, and a big crate the size of a carriage...which was. "Trixie is tired of using her magic, and she just wants to get a quick rest."
"Yeah, I guess it must have been a tiring journey." He said with a chuckle as he used the powers of cartoons to pick everything up with his hands. "Just be glad I managed to convince Pinkie to throw a party for you tomorrow."
The Show Caster had a shiver run down her spine, and it wasn't because it was cold. "Ugh! Don't even remind me! She didn't leave me alone until I allowed it!" She had to hug herself, she was going to have nightmares about that overjoyed smile. "Just...why would she simply even bother like that?!"
"Hey. Take it easy with her." Nathan quickly went to defend his friend, "Pinkie is just a free spirit. She's the embodiment of happiness and joy. A girl who made it her task to make everyone smile and laugh. A pure innocent child-like girl that cares for others happiness first before her own."
"...You sure have her in high regard," Trixie said with a frown.
"What can I say? She's my Best Friend." Nate said with a proud smile. "Anyway, do you have a plan for today after moving in?"
"No. Trixie has no plan." Trixie said, "Trixie was simply planning to return to Sparkles Library to get some of her Magic Books."
"You're not staying at Twilight's place?" Nate asked her.
"No." The light-blue-haired girl denied it. "I appreciate Sparkle's generosity and...kindness. But Trixie prefers to take care of herself." Her words told Nathan that this decision was made carefully. Was it her ego speaking?
"If you say so," Nate said as they were near Ponyville's Entrance. "So you're staying at the Hay and Stay Hotel?"
"Trixie does not have enough money to stay at a hotel." She replied, "Trixie will simply build her carriage. It may take a while, but Trixie is pretty good at building things." She spoke with pride.
"...If you say so," Nate said as they were reaching Ponyville, "Anyways, if you plan to build this now, I suggest you go to my place, I have a wide area that you can work on without trouble. Just needed to clean the snow around it."
"Surely now," Trixie looks a bit surprised. She hasn't got the chance to see her first friend's home, given that she stays with Twilight and her dragon friend and goes to Canterlot to buy her stuff. "Then, Trixie will happily accept the offer, once Trixie finishes her business with Sparkle, Trixie will head to Bandicoot's home."
"Good!" Nate replied as they reached the Library, "Then I'll go ahead and take this to my house, you can ask Twilight to guide you there."
"Yes. Trixie will do that." Trixie said before walking towards the door and knocking.
The door opens up to show Twilight inside. "Oh! Trixie!" The purple girl exclaimed in joy, "Why didn't you tell me you were coming? I would have made some tea."
"No need, Sparkles." The azure girl said, "Bandicoot brought me here for a quick errand."
"Nate was with you?" Twilight asked as she looked behind her, "Then, where is he?"
"What do you mean? He is rig-" Trixie behind her and found no orange-haired boy in sight. "...That boy runs as fast as an Ostrich." She didn't even hear footsteps moving away from her! In the snow!
"Tell me about it," Twilight said as she welcomed her fellow magic user inside, "He's as random as Pinkie, although he's more understandable than her."
"No comment on that," Trixie said before crossing her arms under her developed chest. "Anyway, Trixie won't waste your time for long, she came here to pick up some books for my magic training."
"Huh? You're not staying?" Twilight asked with a raised eyebrow.
"No, Trixie needs to begin building her home right away," Trixie said, earning an incredulous look from the lavender girl, "Oh hush the look, Trixie is confident she can build it in time for the night."
"N-No, no! I'm not trying to say anything," Twilight quickly placed her hands forward in defense. "I just didn't think you would want to build it now."
"Hmph…"
"So, what did you come here for?" The lavender-haired girl asked.
"I simply wish to take the books 'Advanced Magic of Old Equestria' and 'Ministry of Science; A look on Magic'." Trixie moves some of her azure strands of hair off her face. "My magic knowledge is still very short compared to you. And I, the Great and Powerful Trixie, refuse to be outshined by her rival!" She proclaimed with vigor.
"Of course," Twilight rolled her eyes and shook her head as she used her magic too. "Anything else?"
"Trixie would like it if you could take her to Bandicoot's house...please."
"Huh?" Twilight snaps her head in her direction, "Why?"
"He...had offered Trixie his spacious front yard for Trixie to build her carriage again," Trixie explained. "Although, I still don't know the address of his home, so...Trixie would like to ask for your cooperation in navigating there."
There was no reason to deny her fellow magic user the request, "I...guess is no problem. In fact," She also brought an envelope, "I need to see him, the Princess just sent me a message directly to him." She replied although she was confused.
Why did the Princess ask her to deliver it to him?
"Good. That will make things better for the two of us," Trixie said, before having a deep thought, "Although, I am still baffled that you are the Princess' special disciple." ('And here I thought I was special.')
"Don't think about it too much." The lavender-haired girl said as she placed a note for Spike once he returned from his errand. "While I believe it was a blessing to be taught by the Princess, I don't think of myself as the special one." She looks at Trixie with an honest smile, "Everyone has a quirk that makes them special in their way."
Her words left the azure-haired girl amazed. "...T-That's very profound, Sparkles."
"I learned that from Nate. You have no idea just how many lessons of life he has."
"You are not convincing Trixie that fast."
"Point taken and understandable. So, let's go and you may ask him." With that, both girls left the Treehouse and made their way.
…
…
…
"T-This is Bandicoot's home?" That was Trixie's question of disbelief as she observed the two-story house of the orange-haired boy.
It wasn't much, but the house looked like it belonged to a decent rich person. Despite the height and lack of atmosphere.
"I know. I had the exact expression on my face." Twilight replied with a nervous chuckle. She walks up to the door and knocks on it.
It only passed a few seconds before the door swung open, revealing Nathan himself with a shirt that portrayed...a man with a red hat with the letter 'M' as a logo, blue overalls, a fancy brown mustache, and shoes.
"Twilight! Trixie! Glad you two could make it." Nate greeted as he moved aside, "Come in. I'm making some hot chocolate with marshmallows."
At those words, both females blush in embarrassment as their stomach growls in hunger.
Walking inside, they stared at the living room. Trixie was left amazed, it had the obvious objects one has in their houses, but it felt that more things could be placed to decorate.
"What...did we just walk into?" Trixie asked as she looked around. Feeling that she had entered a mad creator's house.
"You know, I asked that before," Twilight said as steps inside the kitchen, "Nathan said that most of it is home relics."
"Boogada!"
"Eeeep!" Trixie yelped when an unfamiliar voice spoke right next to her. Looking to the side, her eyes shrunk at seeing a flying mask moving in front of her and entering the kitchen. "...What the heck is that?" She asked herself as she slowly entered the kitchen.
"Ah, right. You don't know," Nathan gave Twilight her hot chocolate, "Long story short, we had an incident a few days ago involving a certain someone-" the lavender-haired girl flinched. "Using a spell on the wrong creature that destroyed half of the town."
"...So Sparkles isn't perfect." Trixie felt slightly happy about that.
"Oh, stop it." Twilight said in embarrassment, "I was simply trying to help."
"And look how that ended." Nathan was milking this. "So, I understand Trixie's arrival to my home, but to what do I owe the pleasure of having you here, Twi?"
"Oh, that's right!" Twilight used her magic to take out the envelope that she received. "I received this from the Princess, it's some sort of invitation."
The lunatic took the envelope and opened it, "Oho! You know what this means?" He smiled at the two girls, "I believe my charms have captivated your ruler. Very soon you two will be calling me Prince!" Both Twilight and Trixie were drinking at that moment, that's why they choked on their drinks and coughed while blushing madly at hearing that.
As the two of them recover, Nate takes the letter out and opens it. Coughing in his fist, he began to read;
"To Nathan Bandicoot from Ponyville. First and foremost, I want to thank you for not only assisting in bringing back my dear sister, Luna. But to help Twilight in her journey to learn about friendship and becoming a friend."
"Ah, that's so sweet." Nate gushed out before returning to read.
"Second, I write you this letter regarding a certain thing that is currently…"
From there, Nate stopped talking and began to read with his eyes, his joking atmosphere turning to surprise, "Well now, she is inviting me to a tea party with her sister."
"What?!" Trixie yelled in disbelief.
"How wonderful!" Twilight was delighted at the news, "But for what reason?"
"Apparently, Princess Luna is still trying to adjust to the modern world." Nate explained as he put away the letter, "She feels a bit out of place, despite being months after returning."
"So a familiar face might be just what could help her out," Twilight saw what her teacher was doing. "So? When are you going?"
"Going?" Nate looks at her confused. "Is this an order?"
"I...No?" Twilight blinked at the question he made. "Why would you ask that?"
"Cause you speak as if I had already decided to go there and had no choice," Nate replied. "Is your status as princess's pupil taking over? If so, I can help you with that problem."
Twilight and Trixie look at the boy with a strange look at what he is talking about. "So...You are not going?"
"Never said that." Nate smiled. "Besides, the public needs to know the answer to a very important question from Celestia herself."
"A...question?" Twilight perked in slight curiosity at that.
"Is it true...that she has a fat ass?"
…
…
…
"...N...N...Nathan!" Twilight's face turned red in embarrassment. "What kind of question is that?! There equestrians who ask that?!"
"Hey. You look at her from behind and you will ask that." Nate deadpanned.
"I wouldn't ask that!" Damn, her innocence was acting. "The Princess is like a second mother to me! Why would I need to...know if her behind is big or not?!"
"Curiosity, Twi. Curiosity." Nate replied while slapping his hand on his palm.
"Well, your curiosity should know not to ask that question!"
"Huh….Right." Nathan rolled his eyes. "Anyways, Twilight Sparkle. Take a letter."
"Huh?" The lavender girl blinked only once and in front of her was paper and a pen. "Wait-what?"
"Chop-chop, sweety. Let's make this quick." Nate claps his hands before looking at Trixie. "Trix! You can start whenever you want. I already cleaned the snow off the spot. I'll help you out once I'm done."
Trixie blinks a few times before shaking away. "Very well. If you excuse Trixie." And with that, she left to the yard to start building back her carriage.
"Okay. Twilight, you may begin," Nathan quickly said, making the girl flinch and grab ahold of the objects. "Ehem~ Dear Princess Celestia…"
(Two days later)
It was a beautiful day yet again. And very important since the Winter Wrap-Up starting today.
Now, this holiday is the best for Nathan. Why? Because he chose to have this day as a "no-need-to-do-shit" day. Ergo, free day.
"Besides, there's no need for me to appear in every episode of the show," Nate said as he sat on his couch next to a window. "This day should be something the girls can handle themselves. Especially with Twilight in there now."
He peeks out the window, seeing Trixie's new and improved carriage home on the snow, smoke coming out from the small chimney. "And it appears that Trix thought the same idea." It took them three hours to build the house.
What a load of cartoon bullsheit.
"So! To entertain myself as the peasants finish their job," Nate brought out the book he got from the Treehouse Library. "Let's continue where we left out here!" Without a second, he flipped the book and turned to the page he was on last time.
The boy stared at the man in fascination. The aura he was bringing was so bright... as if God had come from heaven to speak to his subjects. He watched as the man began to show him mysterious dust...that floated in the air and magical fire exploded around in his fingers. He felt so...mesmerized by the display...He felt a curiosity like never before.
He wanted to know more!
"Interested?" The man asked. The boy nodded and then looked at his parents, still on their knees. "You may rise, my fellow couple." At his words, the father and mother rose, holding a respectful stand. "Would it be a problem for me to speak about the future?"
The man said those words with a tone and expression of sadness and responsibility. The boy didn't understand how such a being could look and sound like that. The next day came and everything changed, the parents handed a small bag to their son, which he stared at in confusion.
"My son...we now have to say goodbye." The father suddenly spoke. "We have been tasked with a special mission. So we are leaving you with our friend."
"You may not understand why...but you are important. More than we believe you were." His mother hugged him tightly. "Just know that no matter what, we will always be with you."
"Make sure to be strong." His father said before hugging him too. "No matter what, you need to stay strong and live."
The boy couldn't understand what was happening. Before he could even ask, he began to disappear along with the man. Both parents waved as they vanished from his eyes, replacing his childhood view with nothing but white.
Moments passed, and the boy was welcomed by the sight of a castle. Decor like any other, except that the sky was full of stars of different colors. It left the boy speechless as he never thought such a view could be seen.
The man began to walk forward. "Come, child." He looked back with a smile. "It's time to see the path of life."
*Tock-Tock!*
"Huh?" Nate looks up from his book and into the window, seeing Trixie in an azure winter outfit knocking on the window. "Man, I feel like trying to read this book is going to be a gag." He mumbled as he stood up and went to the window.
He opens it a bit. "Morning, Trix!"
"Greetings, Bandicoot. What are you doing here?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. "Isn't the Winter Wrap-Up today?"
"Clean up the snow for Spring to come? Never have I heard such a baffling thing in my life." Nate replied with a roll of his eyes. "You equestrians have ridiculous environmental controls."
"Trixie feels that you are insulting our traditions." Trixie sweatdrop.
"Oh yeah? Then why are you here and not helping out?" Nate asked.
"Trixie doesn't live in Ponyville. She is a traveling magician that goes around from place to place." Trixie spoke while moving her mane. "Trixie doesn't feel obligated to worry about such work when she needs to prepare her magic props for her next show trip."
"Ah, right," Nate remembered. "You said you plan to head to Manehattan after you are ready."
"Yes. After all, Trixie's dream is to become the Great and Powerful Trixieeeeeee!" Trixie boasted.
"And when are you leaving?" Nate asked.
"Now."
"...That fast?" Nate looked at her in surprise. "But why? You just came back and me and the girls miss you."
"And Trixie appreciates the kindness and hospitality you have given...but Trixie is a traveler. It's not Trixie's M.O to stay in one place, for Trixie's desire is to see the world and show her magic."
"...Alright." Nathan sighs. This was her choice and he has no reason to stop her. "If that's what you want, I don't have anything to say." He looked at her with a caring smile. "Just remember that if you ever need help or a place to stay, my door is always open."
The azure girl blushed at his smile before looking away like a tsundere. "T-Trixie isn't amused by your teasing, Bandicoot! I'm not helpless…" She was hiding it, but her smile could be noted. "But...I appreciated it."
"Good. Now tell me the real reason why you are leaving now."
"..."
"...It's because Pinkie is busy and if she finds out, she'll go and drag you to a goodbye party, isn't it?"
"!" So predictable. "No offense to that girl, but I cannot eat another cake!" She placed her hands over her stomach. "I still feel that welcoming cake from two days ago!"
"Hahahaha!"
…
…
…
After calming down and escaping Trixie's attempt to punch him, Nate stood outside in front of the now-packed carriage. "I know you said this, but are you sure I can't convince you to stay for a bit more?"
"Trixie...has made her choice," Trixie replied, her horn glowing and holding onto the carriage. "It's not like Trixie is leaving forever, Trixie wishes to explore the world more." She turned to him with a smile. "Trixie will be back, that Trixie promises."
Nate sighs but smiles. Very well." He then went up to her and hugged her, "Be careful out there. And don't make up stories."
Trixie, with a blush, hugs back. "Trixie will…and Nate?"
"Yeah?"
"...Thank you." She pulls back and stares at him with a blush and a smile. "Thank you for everything."
Nate chuckled, he probably did something out of the original plot, but hearing her story, even he couldn't just let her suffer. "Any time, Trix. I will be here for you. That's what friends are for."
"...Friend, huh." Trixie suddenly tenses herself. "You know…back then, I said you were going to be my slave."
"You back down after the Ursa incident," Nate remembers the horror in her eyes.
"How couldn't I? I challenge someone who faced the Nightmare Moon." She said before a smirk appeared on her face. "But I also changed my view and made my decision."
"Eh?" Nate was confused, ('Why is she smiling like that-') "Mph!"
*Smooch!*
His orange-burnt eyes slowly began to diminish into black dots, his brain processed what was happening, and as it did, his face began to turn red. Now, you may think he is changing because of the cold. But no, the real reason why he looks like a tomato wasn't because of the cold. (AN: The logic here has no sense, what was I thinking)
It was because Trixie Lunamoon, a prideful, beautiful, and talented magic show stopper, had closed the gap between her face and his, and delivered one important gift that we all called…Kiss.
On the Lips.
('...WHAT. THE. FU-')
Trixie pulled away, a small string of saliva coming out. "That is Trixie's promise!" She declared as she jumped away, holding her carriage with her magic. "The Great and Powerful Trixie! Shall return for the most valuable treasure here in Ponyville! You! Fer' The well!" With the tip of her magical hat, she stomps to the ground, smoke appearing.
Once cleared, Trixie and the wagon had disappeared. Only… A small orange wizard hat with a letter on it.
Nathan was still trying to process that Trixie had kissed him...for a few seconds before the cold wind brought him back to his senses. "Brrrrr!" He shivered before looking at the hat. He picked it up and read the letter, "For my soon-to-be partner! Let us meet each other under the spotlight of greatness!"
Aw! How nice of her to leave a present…
WHO IS HE TRYING TO KID'?! WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?!
"W-W-W-What was that about?" He held his face as his legs stumbled out of control. ('S-She…tasted like a strawberry starburst!') Damn! Those lips must have been good! ('I'm serious! What in the world is going on?!')
"N-Nate!"
Thankfully, everything he was thinking stopped when he heard Spike's voice. He looks to see the young kid/dragon running up to him in distress.
"Ayo!" Nate recovered quickly, putting away Trixie's gift and making a warm red jacket to cover himself. "What's up, buddy?"
Spike reached him and began to breathe heavily. He raised his finger to wait a second before looking at him. "H-Have you seen...Twilight?"
"No. Why?"
"I-It's a long story," Spike said as he began to explain how Twilight was very eager for Winter Wrap-Up and...how horrible it had been for her.
('Right...She was so excited for her first holiday.') Nate thought, remembering today's episode. "So she ran after the mess up in the pulling thing...I think I know where she is." ('Power of Bull~ Lent me your help.')
"You do?"
…
…
…
Nate and Spike were now standing in the Town Hall, more specifically, a bush in front of the building.
"...Twilight. Are you there?" Nathan asked.
"...Nate?" Twilight peaked her head out of the bush, confusion, and sadness sported in her eyes. "W-What are you doing here?" Nate motioned to Spike, who was concerned. "Oh...sorry." She realizes why now.
"Yeah. Hear the story," Nate brought a mantle out, placed it on the floor, and sat on it, Spike following so. "I managed to deduce that eagerness on your part had been failing."
"...Yeah." She was depressed.
"I get it. You tried to help by, 'being traditional', in Ponyville." Nate said. "Honestly, it is kind of your fault for following Spike's suggestions," He looked at the kid, "No offense."
"None taken."
"But I can see that the problem lies in you." Nate saw her hide inside the bush. "And only you can solve it."
"...Solve it?" She peeks out again in confusion. "What do you mean by solving it? I gave trouble to the hard-working people and my friends from their wrap-up jobs. How can I solve the wasted time I cause for them?"
Nate suddenly had a Sherlock Holmes hat and pipe, "Elementary, my dear Twily." He didn't notice the blush she got from that. "Spike? Tell me; who deduced Nightmare Moon's return and prepared to face her?"
"Eh?" Spike looks surprised but answers nonetheless. "Um...Twilight."
"Who managed to calm down the Ursa Minor from rampaging the town?"
"Twilight."
"Who became the bearer of the Element of Magic, the knot that ties friendship?"
"Twilight!"
"Who is the one and only student of Princess Celestia?"
"Twilight!"
"Who is the most intelligent girl in all of Ponyville?!"
"Twilight!"
The duo was so into it that the people walking by raised eyebrows, but shrugged it off as they knew how Nathan Bandicoot acts.
Meanwhile Twilight simply blushed at the way they both were acting, embarrassed with their shouting. But found herself looking at Nathan, "...You really think I'm the most intelligent girl in Ponyville?' She meekly asked.
"Think? No. 'Are'? Yes." Nathan threw the hat and pipe away. "Twilight...you are the kind of girl who always looks for a way to solve things. So you couldn't do much in the jobs? Forget that and think outside of the box."
"Outside...the box?" Twilight and Spike asked.
"Rainbow Dash!"
The trio suddenly turned and saw AJ, dressed in a work vest outfit of ground working, talking with Rainbow Dash, in the same outfit but a different color. "Y'all on the Weather Team need to melt the rest of this snow here on the ground and trees, pronto!" She said, urgency in her voice.
"Got it!" Rainbow nodded and was about to leave.
"You can't!"
She stopped when Fluttershy came, "The poor little animals' homes will be flooded if the snow melts too fast."
"Got it."
"I'm tellin' ya Rainbow, ya gotta melt that snow, now!"
"No! You simply must wait!"
"Okay..."
"Go!"
"No!"
"Stop!"
"Ugh!" Rainbow grunted in annoyance. "Make up your mind! You both are giving me a headache!"
Nathan sweatdrop, "Damn. Glad I'm not Dash."
"Oh! What in all Equestria are you arguing about?!"
In came Mayor Made with her usual clothing, along with a coat and uniform. "Are you all arguing about this again!?" All three look down in shame. "Girls. Please, it's because last year's wrap-up came late." She sighs as she takes her glasses off to clean them. "I had hoped my speech would help us not repeat that mistake, but it didn't do much."
"Sorry, Ms. Mayor." All three girls apologize.
"...Did she say Wrap-Up was late last year?" Twilight asked in curiosity.
"Every year she means. Last year was horrendous." Nate said but was chuckling at the misfortune of the town. "The clouds started to throw snow again because the weather team forgot to move them quickly. Animals weren't following orders because one of the field teams accidentally dropped soil in their homes, making the planting late. And don't even start on the lake! Seriously, why wasn't there a plan for those cubes that don't melt and raise the ties?"
"Wow… What a disorganized town." Spike commented.
"...Gasp!" Twilight finally jumped out of the bush, realizing in her eyes. "That's it! I know what I have to do!"
"You do?" Spike asked.
"Good. I suggest you start quickly," Nathan patted her shoulder and pointed at the group, which had started to yell at each other. "Cause the main reason they were late was because they started to argue."
Twilight nodded, "Spike! Get me a quill, a checklist, and a clipboard! On the double!" The small drake salutes and dashes away. She turned to Nate, "How would you feel about saving Winter Wrap-up?"
"Rather save Christmas, but you can't always ask a cow to produce chocolate milk, can't you?" He smiles before vowing and making way for her. "After you, my lady."
Twilight blush and smiles, having confidence in what needs to be done. She walked up to the shouting crowd, "Ehem! Excuse me!" She shouted, but nobody listened.
Nathan coughs a little before taking a deep breath.
"URUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAI!"
That shut them up.
Like, literally, they snap their heads in horror at the choice of words and lock their lips together.
"Thank you!" Nate said, "Now listen up! You all are going to stay quiet and listen like good little children!" He glared at them, making sure nobody questioned anything. "Good! All yours, sweety." Nate moves away as Twilight thanks him
"Ehem!" She coughed before speaking, "Everyone, I understand your eagerness to complete the Winter Wrap-Up! However, shouting at each other won't help anybody!" Spike made his return with the objects asked for. "If we want Spring to come we need to work together! And to accomplish that we need one thing; organization!" She grabs the clipboard and the story is history!
Get it? Cause this was a story and now that is done is 'history'?
…
Joking isn't my talent, but I try.
(Next Day)
With Twilight's cleaning habit and organization skills, the wrap-up made it just in time for Spring.
Rarity, who was in charge of the bird's nest, got the help she needed. Pinkie's Ice Scorers team was able to skate on the ice, making perfect squares where they'll soon be melted without a problem. Organized groups shoveled the snow and the parts that were shoveled were plowed and the parts that were plowed were soon planted. With some bells and rope, with a simple pull of a rope, multiple animals began to wake up and come out of their dens, Fluttershy signaled a bird cry out, signaling for the Weather Team to start getting rid of the clouds in the sky to let the sunshine in, literally drilling through clouds. With the sunshine warming up the area, ponds, and rivers melted into water, leaving only planting to be done.
Since Ponyville was still a pretty big place, it took the rest of the day to finish everything up, but by the next day, all was said and done. Birds returned to their new nests, animals were flying around and swimming in the waters, insects were collecting nectar from the grown flowers, in short…
"Spring has come just in time," Nate said as he looked at his watch. He turned to Twilight, who was gazing upon a snow-town free. "Job well done, partner."
"Yes. I couldn't agree more." Twilight nodded at his words. She was wearing a blue vest. Because of the organization that she planned out for everyone, she was named the All-Team Organizer. "And I'm sure I couldn't have done it without your help."
"Naw!" Nate waved at her in disregard. "I'm positive you and the girls would have reached the conclusion by yourself and finished all this without me."
"Now that ain't completely true!"
Nathan exaggerated his shock as he looked to the side to see AJ next to him. "Yer' help wasn't just much. We managed to plant the seeds faster than ever!"
"Eh?"
"I concurred!" Rarity joins in, making Nate act again in shock. "Most of the birds' nests were made quickly thanks to your help! Why! I'm quite amazed by your hidden talent in decoration!"
"Well-"
"OH! OH! OH!" Pinkie dropped from the sky and landed on his shoulders, "You also have amazing skating skills! Why didn't you tell me?! We could have skated together!"
"Cause you-"
"Uhm…" Fluttershy peaks behind him, a small smile and thankfulness on her face. "You…were great helping…the animals."
"Ah, thanks Shy-"
"Yeah, but I have to ask." Rainbow flew down to him with a curious expression. "You are so good at all this…why haven't you helped before?"
Nate flinches.
"...As a matter of fact," Rarity also raised an eyebrow, "Darling. We never have seen you work when Winter Wrap Up comes."
Nate sweats.
"That's true…" AJ suddenly narrows her eyes at him. "Nate? What ya' doing when everyone's working th' hay?"
And with that, all of the Mane 6 turned their eyes at him, curious as to why hasn't their male friend had helped out, or most of them as suspicious. Nate took a good look at their eyes before giving in.
"Alright, I will explain." Nathan gave them a serious expression, making the girls tense. "The truth is...I've been creating a powerful technique that can only be possible thanks to the winter climate."
"Ooooooh~" Pinkie was already gleaming in interest.
"A technique?!" Twilight was already with a pen and board. "What is it?! A new ability of that magic of yours?!" She had been trying to collect as much data as she could on Nate's power.
"And this is the reason why you don't help?" Rainbow asked.
"Yep." Nate tapped Pinkie's tight, motioning her to get off, which she did. "The coldness of the environment helps my ability, that's why I've been practicing every winter these past years. Want to see it?" He asked.
"Yes!" Twilight and Pinkie nodded rapidly.
"I must admit, I just got curious." Rarity said.
"Fer' sure!" AJ said, with Rainbow and Fluttershy nodding in interest.
Nathan smiled as he moved back a few steps. He brought his hands forward and began to surge an orange aura in it. He closed his eyes for a second before starting the legendary Naruto-ninja hand signs. He did a total of seventeen signs before ending with a peace hand sign. "Peace out!" In mere seconds, his body turned invisible.
"WOOOOOOOAH!" The girls couldn't help but shout in amazement.
"How did you do that?!" Twilight quickly began to write in her notepad questions and theories.
"I must concur with her question! Is it logically possible to turn invisible so easily!?" Rarity joined in, trying to understand such a technique.
"It probably has to do with those hand things he did," Rainbow said, trying to mimic the signs he did, and failing miserably. "I…think I saw them before." She turned to Pinkie, "Hey pinks, you have…What's with the face?"
RD's question made the two magical girls turn behind and were surprised to see, not only Pinkie but AJ and Fluttershy as well, sporting a blank expression.
"...He did it again," Fluttershy said.
"Yeep." AJ nodded.
"I'm actually disappointed for once." Pinkie frowns.
Their reactions confused the other three, especially Pinkie's before AJ sighed and explained. "Listen y'all. Nate just tricked ya." That earns a thrice question of 'huh?' from the three. "Look at where he was." They did as told and…felt their veins pop.
A troll face was on his previous spot, carved on the ground.
"He likes to avoid questions sometimes." Pinkie simply said with a tired smile.
"NATHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!"
As the three girls scream in anger, in the sky, you could see the cutely smiling image of Nathan while doing a Scooby Doo laugh.
(Two weeks later)
We found Nate whistling as he was pulling a wagon with a few rollers and clothing materials. You don't need to think about who it was for.
('Alright. If my mind isn't failing, today is supposed to be when the CMC is officially created.') Nathan thought to himself, going back to his memories. ('To my shock of all things, I never saw Scootaloo or Sweetie Belle in Ponyville. I know that they're with their respective families, but you would think I would see them once before the start of the show.') They all should be living in Ponyville.
He focused his attention when he saw that he was reaching Carousel Boutique. That is when he saw a peculiar scene.
A young girl who looked like Rarity stood in front of the door. The difference was that she had short light purple-ish hair, and dressed in a yellow vest, purple-white striped shirt, and a skirt that covered her legs. Next to her was a small rolling case, hers by the looks of it.
She has been staring at the door, a look of worry on her face.
('Welp! There she is now!') Nate thought as he made his way to her, obviously, she was in deep thought cause she didn't look at him. ('No time like the present.') "Excuse me, young lady?"
"Eek!" The girl yelped before turning around to look at Nathan, immediately looking concerned and scared. "Y-Yes?"
"At ease." Nathan stops pulling the wagon. "I'm just curious as to why a small girl is standing in front of Carousel Boutique with…I believe it's your belonging."
"Ah! W-Well…I'm the little sister of the owner of the shop." She replied with a slight nervousness. "M-My name is Sweetie Belle."
"Ah! Sweetie Belle!" Nathan fist bumps his hand. "Of course, I should have recognized the hairstyle. Rarity's little sister?"
"Y-Yes!" Sweetie Belle yelped in surprise. "Do you…"
"Know her? Yep." Nate thumbs himself. "Name's Nathan Bandicoot. The Ultimate Random Master."
"...Eh?!" The small girl felt her eyes widened. "You're the 'Nathan' that Sis keeps talking about?!"
"The one and only Nathan this town has," Nate said before bowing to her. "At your service, my young lady."
"I-It's nice to meet you!" Sweetie Belle greeted, nervous. "S-Sis always speak of you!"
"You don't say?" Nate felt a smirk form on his face. "Well now, that's expected of her…special someone."
"...EHHHHH?!" Sweetie Belle gasped at the implication. "B-But you're not Sis type! She likes them handsome and well-mannered!"
Nathan felt two arrows pierce his heart at that. "Yep. You are her sister if you would bluntly just call me ugly and disorganized right off the bat."
"O-Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to call you that!" Sweetie quickly apologized, and an animated water drop came out.
"No, it's alright." He dismissed it with a wave. "My fault for not explaining my position. I meant to say that I'm her friend."
"Oh…That makes so much sense." Sweetie said.
"Again. You are her sister alright." Nate weakly smiled before recomposing. "So, what are you still doing out here?"
"Oh…well…" She looked away in embarrassment. "My parents just kind of…let me off here."
Nathan deadpan. "Are you serious?" She nodded at him. "Any…particular reason?"
"Said something about trying past time with Rarity…and allow them to have some alone time," Sweetie replied, looking confused at the last part.
The scenery turns black and white for a second as Nate looks at the cameras. "Adults, am I right? Trying to act smart and friendly so that children don't know the more Rated R stuff just yet." The scenery returns to normal as he looks at the girl. "Did they at least inform Rarity of this?"
"I…think so?"
…
…
…
"Hold on a second. Let's call you sweet, dear, sister." Nathan said as he dropped his pull wagon. "Please, cover your ears for a second." Confused, Sweetie did as told and covered her ears. He coughed a few times before taking a deep breath…and shouted. "RARITY! GET YOUR FAT, MARSHMALLOW, PLUMP BUTT DOWN HERE, RIGHT NOW!"
Minutes later, he heard clattering and some sort of scream of a banshee. Sweetie found herself yelping at upcoming stomps, choosing to hide herself on the wagon in fear of what would happen.
Carrousel Boutique's door slammed open as Rarity came out with red cheeks and growled like a madwoman on a mission. "Nathan Bandicoot! Is eight in the morning! I hope that you brought the stuff I asked for and hope that YOU DID NOT JUST CALL MY BUTT A FAT PLUMP MARSHMALLOW!"
Nate looks at her with a neutral look before it slowly morphs into his mischievous smile. "And what if I did?"
"You…!" She growled as she raised her hands and wiggled them like crazy. "Just…what is your obsession with my…rump?!"
"Is delicious." Nate did his best to keep his smile from breaking.
"Argh! Just, stop it! That's embarrassing to hear!" She was inches from yanking her hair off.
"Embarrassing are your parents for leaving your sister out of nowhere," Nathan said.
"Don't compare me with my parents, they…" The angry rambling stopped as she snapped her head in confusion. "Excuse me?" Nate simply thumbs his carriage, where the fashionista looks at it and sees Swetiee Belle, waving her hand weakly. "Swetiee!?"
"H-Hey sis."
Rarity already was on her, hugging her. "What are you doing here?! You're supposed to be with mom and dad! Are they okay?! Did something happen?!"
"Uhm...no. Mom and Dad just left me here…D-Didn't they tell you?"
…
…
…
"Nathan." Rarity felt her eye twitch a total of 67 times.
Sweetie simply saw an orange blur grab the stuff in the wagon and bolt inside the boutique, only seconds later, Nathan came out while dusting his hands. "Rolls are placed in the table, rainbow order. The ribbons are in the bigger box. The glitter is next to mannequins, as well as the new glue you ask for."
"Thank you, darling."
"No problem. I'll see you later, Rare. Sweetie Belle, it was nice to finally meet you in person. Take care." Nathan waved as he grabbed the handle of the wagon and ran away, leaving a cloud of dust in the air.
"...Wow." The young girl could only say in amazement. "He's…fast."
"Fast is not the word I would use on him." Rarity sighs while massaging her forehead. "Come along, sister. I have a headache from the huge scolding I'm giving Mom and Dad." She said as she grabbed her sister's stuff and muttered how her parents could have at least informed her about sending her baby sister here.
Sweetie Belle's sweat drips as she follows her sister inside.
(Later on)
"And done!" Nathan drops down the last crate of pastry in Sugarcube Corner's storage. "Final crate of candy, Mr. Cake!"
"Thanks a lot, Nate." Mr. Cake, a lanky tall man in a candy-themed baker uniform, said to Nathan. "I know me and my wife have said it many times, but we truly appreciate your help here."
"No problem, Mr. Cake. I'm always happy to help you guys and the best candy store in all of Equestria." Nathan smiled before coming close to him and whispered. "But don't try to say many things, I think Pinkie is onto us." That made the man chuckle.
Funny story, Nathan found out that Pinkie has a bit of pride when it comes to the bakery assistant job. So, seeing him helping out on her job from time to time makes her…want to prove her better-ness.
Nathan will never, using the card of Ultimate Toon Force, tell his BF that he had a deal of free sugar with the owners by helping out.
"On another note, you sure ordered a lot today. A party is happening that Pinkie forgot to tell me about?" Nathan asked.
"Ah. I was wondering why you look confused. It explains so much." Mr. Cake shook his head. "Tomorrow at noon, Mr. Filthy Rich's daughter is having her cutieciñera here in Sugarcube."
"Ah, right." Nate hummed, his mind remembering that party. "Filthy's child having her cutieciñera. Makes perfect sense why Pinkie excluded me."
"Hmm?"
"Nothing to worry about, my good sir." Nate shook his head. "Anyways, if that's all I'll just…go get the 'goods'." He wiggled his fingers, making the baker roll his eyes and chuckle. "Later, Mr. Cake!"
With a wave and skip, Nathan was now on the counter, kneeling as he went to grab the hidden stash of candy that he and the owner prepared and hid.
How has Pinkie not found it, you ask?
With very, VERY, careful actions…and bribery that may or not involve some personal touching.
*Clink-clank*
A bell rings out, telling the hidden Nathan that someone entered. "Hello? Mr Mrs Cake?"
"Hello!" Nate replied for the owners, loud enough to tell them that he'll take care of it, and surprising the customer. "Hold on a second, I'll be there with you for a second!"
"A-Ah, okay." The voice belongs to a child, somewhere around AB and Sweetie's age by the sound of it. "Uhm…Sorry for asking, but you aren't…Mr Cake."
"Nope," Nathan responds while humming internally at taking away an apple candy or a bar of Twist. "I'm a friend of the owners and sometimes help here." He shrugged before taking them both. "So what can I help with, kiddo?"
"Oh! I'm here to buy some Rainbow Souffles!" Spoke the kid with excitement. "I finally got enough bits to buy three of them!"
"Ah! The Rainbow Souffles." Nate hummed I'm delighted at a memory while turning to the pastry cabinet. "Good choice. The first time I truly believed in the words 'Taste the Rainbow.' Still remember Rainbow Dash getting prideful at that name."
"Gasp! You know Rainbow Dash?!"
Nathan blinked at the extreme excitement of the kid…as far as he knew of the story, there was only one kid that would get this much joy over the high-flier. "Know her?" He finally stood up and looked at the kid.
A girl with purple short hair, orange skin, purple eyelids, a light-blue sweater and magenta pants, and orange-ish shoes.
She was also blinking several times before her eyes began to widen and her mouth began to open wide.
"Kiddo. I'm her best friend." Nathan replied. ('So this is Scootaloo. Heh, she does look like Rainbow Dash.') "And by the look of your face, you know who I am?" He asked with a smirk.
"...N-Nathan B-Bandicoot…!" Scootaloo stuttered out. "R-Rainbow Dash's only equal! The guy that fought Ursa with his bare hands!"
"Ha! Only equal? I'll have you know that nobody is equal to yours truly." Nate barks in laughter. "And the Ursa thing…I guess you could kind of say it was bare-handed."
"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!" Her face was doing the same thing Rainbow would do in the Best Young Flyer Competition.
"Alright, kid. Take a deep breath before you pass out." Nathan said with a sweat. As the girl took multiple deep breaths, Nathan began to type the cash machine. "I would appreciate it if my fans don't die for lack of oxygen in their lungs." He then dropped down and pulled up as he brought out four Rainbow Souffles. "And here you go! That will be five bits."
"Oh, Thank you-Wait what?!" Scootaloo gasped when she saw the extra treat. "Uhm…I'm sorry, I said three Souffles."
"I know. The fourth one is my treat." Nate said as he flicked his bit into the air. "For my fellow fan."
"R-Really?!" Scootaloo squealed. "T-Thank you!" She said before grabbing the four candies and dashing off. "Woohoo!"
Nathan chuckled as the girl left. "Ah, so this is what it feels to have a fan." She didn't mention it, but a kid with a star in their eyes is a dead giveaway. "Now then! Where was I…Right, my sugar rush!"
"Excuse me, Mr. Bandicoot!"
"The heck?" Nathan blinked as he saw Scootaloo back again, this time holding a poster of…him spinning?!
Eyo?! Merchandise?! Where are you at!?
"C-Can you please sign this?!" She asked in eagerness.
"Sure!" Taking the poster from her hand and magically appearing a pen, Nathan said. "And to whom am I signing this for?"
"S-Scootaloo!"
Nodding, Nathan quickly signs the poster before giving it to the tomboy girl. She took it and looked at it, gleaming in joy at the sentence.
"To my fan Scootaloo. May your dreams and wings sour high in the sky and above!"
Nathan Bandicoot-
"Thank you so much!"
"No problem, kiddo. But I must say, that poster looks very nice. Where did you get that?" Nate asked.
Scootaloo blushed and used the paper to hide her expression. "I…Draw it…"
"No kidding?!" Nathan said in surprise. "Well, that is a good drawing of me." She blushed harder. "Can I guess and say that you also have a poster of Rainbow Dash?"
Scootaloo gasped. "How did you know?!"
Nate snorted, making her flinch. "If you are my fan, then you're definitely a fan of hers." He then felt a lightbulb in his head. "Say…do you…want to meet her and get her autograph?"
"CAN I?!" Scootaloo appeared above him, her tiny wings popping out and fluttering at max speed.
"Yep." Nate, unaffected by the girl's excitement, said. "Just let me have a day where we can meet and I'll have her come. Be sure to have the autograph with you."
"Yes!" She stops fluttering and hugs the poster before bowing (what the hell? This isn't an anime show!) "Thank you so much, Mr. Bandicoot!"
"Psst!" Nathan blew a raspberry from his mouth, figuratively and literally, "Mr. Bandicoot is for when I'm past my 40's. Just call me Nathan, or Nate."
"Yes, Nathan, sir!" She saluted…hard enough to bruise her forehead. "I'll see you soon!" And with that, she left, a scream of joy leaving the place.
The orange maniac blinked at the sudden speed before shaking his head. "Well…now that she truly left…Where's my sugary rush?"
(Next Day)
It was noon, and we focused once again on Sugarcube Corner. We could see Nathan having a twitching eyebrow as he was dragged into the kids' party.
"Oh, cheer up!" Twilight said to him, looking confused while handing him a drink. "What's wrong with this party? Is for a child."
"A child that thinks herself grand when in fact she's been a bully," Nathan replied.
"Eh?"
"Listen, Diamond Tiara might be a kid, and I'm sure most of her actions aren't 75% her fault, but her attitude is based on her mother. You might not have met the woman but Spoiled Rich is selfish and spoiled." Nathan explained as he drank the juice in his hand. "Most of her personality is in Tiara, and the kid believes she's far more special than anyone here. This party isn't to celebrate just her cutie mark, it is to brag to everyone that she's better. Her cutie mark is literally telling everyone to listen to her."
Twilight blinked at what she just heard. "Well, I can't speak for anyone, but it is still her party."
"So you're saying she should mock Applebloom for not having her Cutie Mark yet?" Nathan deadpan. "Embarrassing her for something that takes time to form?"
She cringes. "Okay. So my wording wasn't the correct one. I don't condone the bullying she's doing. But surely someone will put her in her place if she steps out of line."
"Sure. Whatever helps you." Nate shrugged.
"But since we are talking about them. I was thinking," Twilight sported a curious expression. "Nate, what is your Cutie Mark? You always wear those gloves that hide your hands, and I've never seen you without them."
"Oh, well I feel comfortable wearing them." Nathan showed his fingerless gloves, "But to answer your curiosity, I-"
Before he could say anything, the music suddenly stopped. Turning around, they saw that AB had bumped into the Record Player, putting the attention on her.
"Pfft! Well, well, well!"
From the crowd walk two girls. One was a girl with long light-purple hair with a white streak, a tiara in her head. She was wearing a frilly pink outfit that showed off her richness.
The other tone was a gray-skinned girl with silver hair and a regal ponytail. She sported a dress that was a combination of a tuxedo and a princess skirt. She also wears a pair of glasses over her eyes.
"I'm surprised you came, Blank Flank." Diamond Tiara said, one could tell she was mocking AB. "Last I checked, this party was supposed to celebrate my cutie mark! It would be embarrassing to be at a party with nothing to show!"
"It's pretty embarrassing." Silver Spoon nodded. "I mean, having none when everyone else has one is so sad!" That caused both girls to chuckle while the rest of the party muttered, making Applebloom humiliated.
"Hey! You got a problem with Blank Flanks!?" A sudden shout made everyone flinch as they looked at a punch bowl table, where Scootaloo and Sweetie came out, angry at them.
"Huh? You said something?!" Diamond Tiara felt insulted by the defiance in Scootaloo's tone.
"I ask if you have a problem with Blank Flanks!? Too much money in your mind to hear that?" Scootaloo…insulted?!
"A problem? The problem is that she's totally not special." Silver Spoon said.
"Exactly! They have no talent whatsoever!" Diamond Tiara said, "They are useless!"
…
…
…
"Twilight?" Nate pushed the cup to her, "Hold my punch." The girl blinked in surprise as she held the drink and watched as her friend walked forward.
"You're wrong!" Sweetie said. "Having a cutie mark doesn't make her useless! It just means that her talent could be something far more amazing!"
"And far better than being stuck up like you two!" Scootaloo taunted.
Oh! Burn!
Everyone felt that one as they cringed and laughed, making Diamond growl.
"S-Silence! This is my party!" She glared at the two girls, "Why are you two on her side?!"
The two girls simply raised the back of their hands, showing nothing.
Applebloom gasp. "You both don't have a Cutie Mark?!"
"We thought it was only us," Scootaloo said.
"Hmph! So what?" Diamond Tiara scoffed. "It just means that there's now three-"
"Three what?"
The bratty and her friend flinch in terror as a shadow looms behind them. Slowly looking back, they gasp at one of their greatest fears.
"...Hello, Diamond Tiara," Nathan spoke in authority, arms crossed.
"M-M-M-Mr. Bandicoot!" She stuttered as she moved back, Silver Spoon quivering next to her. "I-I-I didn't know-"
"Yeah. I was asked to be security." He stopped her from talking, never once stopping his glare at her. "And I must say, despite celebrating this party of yours, you and Silver have been a bunch of egotistical brats." Gasps echoed in the room. "And here I thought that my substitute teaching would open both of your eyes a bit, but I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, eh?"
"W-What?" Both girls squeak out.
"Blank Flanks are useless and talentless?" He darkly chuckled. "Oh no. They are far from any of those things." He walked past her and went behind the three girls, "In fact, they are lucky."
"L-Lucky?" Everyone asked in confusion.
"Yep!" He placed his hands on Applebloom, "I find getting a Cutie Mark so soon very cliche and boring. Having no idea what it could be an amazing adventure! Just think about it!" He looked at her 'little sister', who stared back in shock. "You could be anything, and you have to find out what it is! Is like a Treasure Hunt!"
"He's right," Twilight spoke up, walking up. "You three have been given the chance to explore the world to find out who you are meant to be."
"And that's something they'll have time to figure out." AJ joined in. "Your Cutie Mark will come to you, and sometimes, you won't even see it coming."
"And on the bright side," Nathan began to remove his right glove, "You girls might get lucky and find them before me."
"Before…Eh?!"
Everyone gasped when Nathan revealed his hand, showing no tattoo on it.
"You don't have a Cutie Mark?!"
Nathan smiled like the lunatic he was. "Nope. And quite frankly, I don't need one."
*Thud! Thud!*
Apparently, the news was too much for Diamond and Silver's brains, tanking the rich children to dreamland.
('Worth it!')
…
…
…
Soon, the party continued. The kids return to enjoy the party in all ways. Both rich girls were awoken but were sulking in the corner, ever so slightly paying attention to anything. Right now, we focus on the group, Applebloom having to dump Nate's hand on water before pulling it out.
"...No paint nor make-up!" She gasps as the other two stare in disbelief.
"So, it's true!" Sweetie Belle cheered. "We aren't the only ones without a Cutie Mark!"
"That's…so…awesome!" Scootaloo squeals. "You have done so many things and you don't have a Cutie Mark!"
"Why didn't you tell us?!" Applebloom asked.
"Honestly speaking, nobody bothered to ask me," Nathan said, using a towel to clean his arm.
"But…This…is both amazing and unbelievable!" Twilight said, holding her head as her neurons were working to comprehend while her magic horn glowed and wrote everything at super speed. "You have fought Nightmare Moon and a Minor Ursa. You survived getting smashed by a dragon and buried alive! You have a mysterious power I've never seen or heard of! And there's that mask that has been around you! I-I thought it had to do with your Cutie Mark, but you not having one just makes it impossible and, quite frantically, mysterious!"
"Nah! I guess it is to be expected." AJ nodded.
"Expected?!" Twilight looked at her in disbelief.
"Honey. I have known him far longer than you." The cowgirl smiled. "I have accepted that he and Pinkie do things that have no explanation."
"Inconceivable!" Twilight felt insulted by that declaration. "There's no such thing as unexplainable-"
"Sleep attack!"
A dust of white hit Twilight in the face, and before she could ask, she fell asleep, being caught by Nate before she hit the floor. "Easy there. We are still far too long before you go denying the powers of BS." He muttered.
"Thank Sugarcube, I'll take it from here." AJ thanked him, knowing that her newest friends take science and logic way too seriously. She took Twilight off his arms with little effort. "I'll take her to Pinkie's room, please keep an eye on the kids."
"You got it." Nathan thumbs up at her as she leaves.
He looked at the trio, who were talking with each other. ('And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the beginning and creation of the infamous Cutie Mark Crusaders.' As a brony, I'm honored to be a witness to this moment.') Imaginary salute everyone.
Childhood will never truly disappear.
"Nate!"
He hummed as the image disappeared and he looked at the trio, all sporting an overjoyed smile.
"Well! Well! Well! Look who decided to have friends!" Nathan chuckled. "I assume that you three have become friends, right?"
"Yep!" Applebloom said as she grabbed both Sweetie and Scootalo. "We band together to become-"
"The Cutie Mark Crusaders!" All three of them shouted.
The orange-haired clapped his hands. "Wonderful name!"
"And we were hoping you would become our member!"
…
…
…
"...Beg ya' pardon, mah lass?" Nathan asked as his eyes inflated in disbelief.
"Yeah!" Scootaloo spoke up, "You don't have a cutie mark either! That makes you one of us! And we decided that we'll help you get your Cutie Mark!"
"It would be horrible of us to leave we leave you like this! We are hitting two birds with one stone!" Sweetie said.
Nate sweat. While he was happy to be asked to join the team, he felt unsure, ('How do I tell them that I might not even get a Cutie Mark?') "Well…I'm touched by your offer girls but-"
"You'll join, right?" All three of them huddled together and did the bane technique; the puppy eyes. "Pretty please?~"
Let it be known, that as crazy as he says he is, Nathan Bandicoot is still a living being with weakness. So, with a pierce heart, he sighs. "Very well."
"Yay!" All three of them cheered. "We have our official Leader!"
"...Great." Nate sighs. Still, the fact that these three are happy should be enough, besides they will need someone mature to keep an eye on them…
('WAIT A MINUTE! I'M THE LEADER OF THE CMC! SUCK ON THAT BRONIES!')
