Logan wanted to speak with Justice but she was still absent from her job. A main librarian told him that Justice got very sick right before the attack on bridges. She called work three days after and told them that right before the locked down of the Zone's bridge she was transported to the Main Land in a hospital. Then she called one more time and assured that she was coming back this week but she didn't know exactly what day. He was waiting for her because so much changed and he wanted to know her opinion on all what was going on in Gotham.

His attempts to find out anything about Ellie's brother failed because the only bridge was still closed and patrolled. Ellie had an idea to sneak on to the Main Land but it wasn't successful she got caught and sent to the local police precinct. Everyone there knew who she was so they didn't even bother to file her in and let her go. She called Logan at 3 am to pick her up from the police station. He was mad she sensed it through the phone but he came anyway and they got early breakfast in one of the places which still remained open.

-Why are you wearing dirty clothes? - she asked chewing pancake.

-Because I grabbed the first thing I found on my floor and run out from the house when you called.

-Seems like you need to make a deep cleaning in your house! Want me to help you on a weekend?

-No, Ellie! I got my mess but what I want is that you not doing stupid thing and risking your life trying to cross that bridge! - he finished his breakfast before Ellie and was drinking black coffee. - Promise me!

-But my brother! - she was stubborn.

-We will figure it out! We got a bigger problem than that! We know for sure that he was somehow connected to that group of people who terrorizing Gotham. When police or Batman or FBI will get him there is going to be an investigation and it's where we come in with our information. Believe me we will get justice for him! I just don't want you to get hurt!

-I'm fine! - she rolled her eyes. - Really! I'm ok.

-Promise me. - he was also stubborn.

-Ok. Ok! I promise I won't go over the bridge.

-And outside after dark in general! We see this horrible stuff every day! Fights, robbery, murder and now this freaking maniac! Ellie I don't want to lose you.

-Ok! I get that! No go outside after dark blah-blah-blah… - she finished her pancake. -So, what will we do?

-News, Ellie, we going to make news and keep people posted. Maybe we will figure out who is that maniac because he is apparently here in the zone. He doesn't go back over the bridge.

She became quiet and looked outside through the window. She was missing her brother but she would never say that and Logan would never ask her to do so. They set for a while drinking coffee. It was half past six when they left a breakfast place.

-What now? - she asked.

-Don't you want to sleep? Go home?

-How about news. You said we have a lot to work on.

-That's right. But I don't want you to be up for twenty four hours.

-I'm fine. But I guess I could go home and take a long hot shower and then meet you back at the library.

-Great plan. come on. I'll give you a ride.

Logan drove her home and returned to his own house after all. His place was a real mess and he decided to clean up some of it before getting back to work.
