dream1990 asked for this one. :) Here you go, Amigo! :) Enjoy! :)

Undertale belongs to Toby Fox. All Undertale AUs mentioned belong to their respective owners. The OceanPatch, PreciousTale, and Lullaby Tale AUs belong to me. Carmen, David, Julie, Thomas, Nathan, and Sarah also belong to me.

A/N: Frisk is a girl in this story. Also, I apologize in advance that I don't know the names of the creators of the various Undertale AUs, but as stated above, I only claim credit on the three AUs I created.

The First Step To Peace Is Healing

It had been almost a month since Frisk had freed the monsters of the Underground and she sighed happily as she settled down in bed, having been tucked in by her loving goat mother and goat father, both of who had reconciled and the other monsters had begun to live alongside humans.

The night was quiet and peaceful until Frisk woke up suddenly, sitting up in bed and wondering why she was wide awake. She turned on the light beside her bed and looked around, gasping as her eyes came to rest on a figure sitting in the desk chair in her room. The figure looked at her and lifted his head, a hood falling away to reveal a face that looked similar to Gaster, only he had no cracks on his face. His eyes were lit up with a sea-blue color, with sparkles of green in them.

He stood up, raising both hands up in the universal gesture that he wasn't going to hurt her. "Sorry for awakening you, little one," he said, his voice rough, but not unkind.

"Gaster?" She asked curiously.

He chuckled. "In a way, yes," he said, coming up to her. "Is it alright if I sit down?"

She nodded, crisscrossing her legs under the blanket as the mysterious Gaster sat down. "You are correct that I am Gaster, but I'm different than the Gaster you call your uncle," he continued.

"You mean, like an alternate world?" She asked.

He smiled. "Yes," he said. "I knew you were a clever child, which leads me to believe that my choice is the right one."

"Choice?" Frisk asked, tilting her head in confusion.

He chuckled. "First off, I've nearly forgotten my manners," he said. "I am the Gaster from the alternate world called OceanPatch. You may call me Refract."

"Refract?" She asked before nodding. "Okay. And...OceanPatch?"

"It is my world," he said. "But in our world, humans pushed us monsters towards the ocean, forcing us to live in the caves there. We only come out at night to get food and to pick up the trash left behind. Some things are usuable, but others are not."

"Like the Dump in the Underground," Frisk said in realization.

"Yes," he replied. "It's been a sad fate for us and many of us do not think of humans as good people." He turned to her. "But you...I've been watching you for the past month, ever since you freed your family. I've listened to them sing praises about you and how you went through so many trials to free them all."

"I...I did what was right," she said.

Refract nodded with a smile. "That you did," he said. "Which brings me to ask you an important question."

"Yes?"

He turned to her, his face serious. "Frisk, if you were given the power to heal all the AUs of this world, giving all the monsters a happy ending, and bringing them all hope, would you do that? Even for strangers you don't even know?"

Frisk blinked. "You mean...like stop the wars in each AU?" She asked.

Refract shook his head. "I'm afraid that can't altered, but what you can do with this power is give them all a happy ending, like how you did for your family here. Breaking the barriers and helping monsters to ease into the human world and show the world that appearances don't always tell you the full story."

As she had witnessed that many times when first meeting the monsters she now called family, Frisk nodded. "How do I gain this power?" She asked.

He smiled. "Give me your hands," he said, reaching his hands out with his palms facing the sky.

She placed her hands in his and magic colored like Refract's eyes swirled around her hands and up her arms. "Wow," she said softly as the magic continued to swirl around her before settling on her hands. The glow faded away after a bit and the tall skeleton smiled.

"Use this power well, child," he said, ruffling her hair gently. "Remind the monsters that not all humans are bad. Bring peace to all of them."

Frisk nodded. "I promise," she said.

Smiling, Refract nodded, standing up. "Now, you should head back to sleep," he said.

The girl settled down and was surprised when the skeleton tucked her in, his magic now swirling around the room in gentle waves as he began to softly sing.

"Oceans of past and now,

Flow with the run of time,

Stars line up to shine,

While the sun and moon watch.

All around you, here they are,

They watch and smile,

Filling your mind with the best dreams,

That lift you up into the puffy clouds.

I feel you are ready to start the quest

To fill hearts with peace,

Heal the hurt they feel,

And keep in mind the melody I sing."

Refract saw Frisk was asleep and he smiled, gently brushing a hand over her head. "Sweet dreams, brave child. And good luck."

He vanished into the quiet night.

The next morning, Frisk ran into Sans' room and he woke up with a yawn, seeing her stand by the bed. "Kiddo, it's a bit early," he said, noting it was only six in the morning.

"Uncle Sans, I met someone last night. He said his name is Refract and he's from OceanPatch, an AU of our world."

Sans fully woke up then in shock. "What?" He asked. "How do you know about alternate worlds to ours?"

"Refract told me," she said. "He said there are worlds that need help and he gave me powers to heal those worlds."

Her hands glowed sea-blue right then with green sparkles and the hoodie-wearing skeleton blinked before his left eye glowed blue. "Hold still a moment, kiddo," he said.

She did and he checked her stats, finding them to back up what she had just told him and he sighed. "Well, okay, then," he said. "Guess I can tell you what I know, but you can't breathe a word of this to anyone, okay? I don't want your mom worried sick after you just recovered from freeing all of us."

"Okay," she said with a nod before yawning.

He chuckled. "First off, let's get some more sleep and then we'll talk more after breakfast," he said.

She nodded again. "Can I stay here with you?" She asked.

He chuckled again and lifted up the covers. "Climb in, baby bones," he said.

The child was soon snuggled into his side and she fell asleep once more. Sans joined her, holding her protectively as he was afraid of the plan she had to heal the AUs, but he also knew how determined she was.

He fell asleep, his mind more at ease for the time being.

Can Frisk help heal the timelines? We shall see. :)
