Plans?
"So, any plans for the wedding?" Alex asked.
"Kinda busy here, Alex?" Revan spoke, running through the streets after the runaway alien.
"Where'd this thing come from?" Winn said.
"Welcome to work, Agent Schott. Mind telling me why you were late?" J'onn asked. Winn chuckled nervously before focusing on guiding the heroes.
"Coming to you, hon." Revan spoke. As the alien turned the corner, Kara smashed down in front of it and knocked it out with one clean punch.
"It's an alien from outer space, Winn, to answer your question." Kara said.
"You don't say." Winn said.
"You okay?" Kara asked, walking up to Revan.
"Of course." Revan smiled, as Kara did the same.
"I need the details!" Alex yelled over comms. "Getting excited for my own wedding was one thing but-"
"Sorry, what was that, Alex? I think you're- breaking up-" Kara spoke, feigning a malfunction.
"Sorry, Alex, I think Kara's comms aren't working properly." Revan smirked.
"Really?" Alex said, eyes narrowing. "The oldest trick in the book?"
Revan snorted, "And you would know the oldest tricks in the books, huh?"
"I hate you." Alex said, almost letting her laughter out. Revan merely hummed in response.
"I'm transporting this thing back to DEO. Catch you later?" Kara asked Revan, already having picked up the unconscious Dominator.
"Sure, I'll do my rounds, and meet you." Revan smiled. "I love you."
"I love you too." Kara smiled back, planting a quick kiss on his lips before flying off. Revan looked at her soaring away, smiling, before he ran off, leaving a trail of neon silhouettes slowly fading behind him.
.
.
"Alex, for the 14th time, we don't have anything planned yet, and we're not in a hurry!" Kara all but yelled, back at the DEO.
"It's true, Alex." Revan added.
"Are you kidding me?" Alex said incredulously. "Y'all speed run through planning my wedding, but when it comes to your own, you're-"
"Relaxed?"
"Chill?"
"Not worried?" Kara and Revan sounded off one after another.
"Yes!" Alex said, throwing her hands up.
"Alex. We wanna take our time." Revan explained softly. "Yours was different. You were all excited and you were asking us to plan for your wedding, which you were gonna have sooner and not later."
"Yeah yeah." Alex said.
"Are you pouting?" Kara gasped, feigning surprise. "Aww, you big baby, we're going to invite you. It's not like we're trying to avoid you or anything."
"Well, I know that!" Alex said. "Even if you tried something, Revan would never stand for that."
"Absolutely." Revan said, lifting his hands in the air.
"If we're done with this," Kara spoke, "we do have to get to work."
"Indeed we do." Revan smirked.
"Race you for a Burger." Kara said.
"Do you like spending money to feed me?" Revan laughed, making Kara stick out her tongue. "You're on."
With that, the two sped off.
"Never change." Alex smiled to herself, getting back to work.
.
.
.
.
"I never got the chance to properly congratulate you two." Lena said to Kara and Revan, as they stood in Lena's office.
"We don't need any of that." Revan said, before looking at Kara.
"I, um… Alex is already my Maid of Honor, but I want you to be one of my Bridesmaids." Kara said nervously.
"Oh, Kara…" Lena spoke, seemingly a little overcome, before clearing her throat and quickly regaining her composure, "Of course. I'd be honored."
Kara quickly walked in and hugged Lena, who hugged her back.
"Okay, now back to work. I don't want people to get ideas." Lena smirked, before settling into her own desk.
"You got it, Boss." Revan mock saluted, getting a chuckle from Kara and an eye roll from Lena.
After giving each other a quick kiss, they settled into their own desks and got to work. Revan got some more coffee, sipping away as his hands flew over his keys.
The day went by slowly, as most of the time after crime fighting and then working on articles did. The monotony after that adrenaline.
Kara's mind wandered to various things, the alien they caught, the quiet and isolated picnic the two of them had in the mountains, with nobody to interrupt them as they spent a whole day just gazing at the sky, having snowball fights at super speed, and gobbling down tons of food. Her eyes settled on the ring he'd given her. A simple, silver ring, with a sapphire embedded in it. She admired it for several minutes, before her mind began drifting to her wedding…
"Kara!" she was snapped out of her musings by Lena's voice. "Daydreaming, I see?"
"Was I that obvious?" Kara asked sheepishly.
"No, but you may as well be crying, confessing feelings on a stage when I'm involved." Lena smirked.
"Fair. What did you need?" Kara asked.
"I was going to ask you to run a story on the new vigilante." Lena said aloud before quickly whispering, "Is Jason gonna be okay with that?"
"I'll ask him." Kara whispered back, before speaking aloud. "I'll ask around, see what I can find."
"Good. Now will you be able to finish up your work or…?" Lena smirked again.
"Oh buzz off." Kara rolled her eyes.
"Is that how you talk to your boss?" Lena slyly asked.
"It's how I talk to my best friend who happens to be my boss but isn't doing anything work related at the moment." Kara smirked.
"Alright alright, back to work." Lena chuckled, before walking off to her office.
Kara shook her head, chuckling to herself as she got back to finishing her work for the day.
In another hour or so, Kara cracked her neck, having finished most of her work, looking up to look at Revan. He was still as engrossed as ever, moving only to sip his coffee. Suddenly, she heard sirens.
"Again?" she asked herself, then looked at Revan, who was already looking up at her, nodding as they both got up and went to stop whatever crimes were going down.
Suited up, they sped through the city, as Winn's voice came crackling over comms. "It's a fire metahuman, guys. Made a giant explosion, and now the apartment building on West Avenue is tipping over!"
"We're on it, Winn." Kara replied. As soon as the two got to the scene, they saw a guy dressed in punk rocker clothes, angrily shouting and spewing flames everywhere.
"We need him out of commission!" Revan said. Kara quickly flew to the man, and froze him up using her breath, keeping only his head free of the big block of ice he was now trapped inside.
"Supergirl!" some of the police officers called to her, pointing at the building.
"Winn wasn't kidding when he said it was tipping over." Revan spoke. "Stabilise it. I've got the civilians."
"On it." Kara nodded, immediately flying up to hold the building, pushing it in place, while Revan sped in and out of the building, getting people out with blinding speed.
"There are still people in the top floor, but it's burning!" Kara said as she worked on stabilising the building.
"I've got it, don't worry. Keep doing your thing!" Revan replied as he phased into the top floor. The stairs were broken, so he had to run up the walls and phase through the windows. "One more to go!" he quickly went in to see a girl, still sitting in her bed, her face frozen. He quickly picked her up and brought her back down with the others. He was about to let her stand, when he realized this girl was paralyzed from the waist down, as he noticed no movement, even from stimuli, in the legs. He quickly went to a different spot and sat her down. She was still shell-shocked from the looks of it.
"You okay, Miss?" Revan spoke calmly, trying to get her attention. "Hey, you're safe." The girl barely nodded. "I'll get the paramedics to take you for a medical checkup. Sorry I couldn't find your wheelchair." She nodded again, expression coming back to her.
"Thank you." She spoke.
"You got a name, Miss?" Revan asked.
"It's Barbara. Barbara Gordon." She replied.
"Huh. Well, Barbara, are you hurt anywhere? It looks like you got the worst of it here." Revan asked.
"Who you got there?" Kara asked as she floated down beside Revan. She'd frozen the building at key locations, so it held in place till repairs.
"Her name's Barbara. She's paraplegic, so I set her down here." Revan replied.
"You're Supergirl." Barbara said.
"That's right." Kara smiled.
"You saved me a couple months ago." Barbara cracked a small smile.
"Glad I did." Kara smiled. "You take care of yourself, alright?" Barbara nodded. "Where are your parents?" Kara asked, at which, Barbara's face fell. "Oh, I'm sorry, I-"
"No no, it's okay." Barbara quickly spoke, with a sad smile. "I never knew my mother, and… my dad… he died last year, when all the alien ships were here."
The Daxamite invasion, a silent word passed between the two heroes.
"But don't worry, I'll take care of myself!" Barbara quickly smiled reassuringly.
"Okay. Don't be a stranger." Revan said, then the two sped off.
Barbara watched as they raced into the distance at those inhuman speeds. "I'm sure I won't have to be soon." She said calmly, straightening her glasses.
.
.
.
"I'd say we handled that well." Kara said. "I haven't really talked about the Daxamite Invasion in a long time." She continued, taking a bite of her burger.
"It's only natural. No one talks about a big Crisis after. You focus on moving past it, healing any damage." Revan said, doing the same with his own burger. The wind atop CatCo's roof was a nice accompaniment to Big Belly Burger triple triples, he thought, as they sat at the edge, dangling their feet.
"I mean, it's true, but I wish there was something we could do for the irreparable damage some people have to deal with. That girl lost her only parent." Kara said, sighing sadly.
"You can't fight everything, Supergirl." Revan said, bumping shoulders with her. "Especially mental trauma. Short of becoming a therapist for everyone, which would hamper you actually stopping the bad guys."
Kara scoffed at that, smiling. "You're always making me feel better."
"There's nothing I'd rather be doing." Revan smiled. Kara leaned in and kissed Revan softly, one hand intertwining with his, the other going up to his shoulder, his found its way to her cheek, caressing it softly. They broke apart, grinning widely.
"Let's go home?" Kara suggested "I think I need cuddles."
"Your wish is my command, my lady." Revan said, standing up and picking her up into his arms, bridal style.
"Dork." Kara laughed. "I love you."
"Takes one to know one." Revan shrugged. "And I love you too." He smiled, before running off, straight to their apartment.
.

.

The next day, after having snuggled all she wanted the day before, Kara woke up to find Revan gone again.
"What're you up to now, Rev?" Kara asked loudly, but groggily, rubbing her eyes as she sat up.
"Making my Bag of Sunshine a hearty breakfast." Revan spoke as he entered the room. "Morning." He came and sat down on the bed beside Kara and kissed her.
"Morning." Kara said as they broke, chuckling as they did. "What did I do to deserve you?"
"You were you." He said, cupping her face and planting a long kiss on her forehead, making her purr considerably. "Now come on, before it gets cold!"
"I'm coming!" Kara exclaimed back as Revan pulled Kara out to the table. "Fried Chicken?!" her eyes went wide.
"You like it? Figured I'd do something different today." Revan asked.
"I love it, and I love you!" Kara said excitedly, jumping up before leaping onto Revan and kissing him. Revan laughed into the kiss as he held her close.
"I love you too." He said as they broke apart and smiled at each other. "Enjoy." He said as he sipped his coffee. Kara dug into the food, moaning as she relished the taste. "You're a cooking genius." She breathed as she ate more.
"Careful you don't choke on your food, love." He said warningly, chuckling at his Kryptonian breathing her food.
.
.
The two got dressed and exited their place.
"Where are we going?" Kara asked.
"There's a surprise for you at the DEO." Revan smirked.
"Oh? What kind?" Kara asked.
"Catch me and find out." Revan said, before running off.
"Oh no no." Kara laughed before zooming off after him.
They played around the city a while, chasing each other. Kara could see Revan smiling as he swerved to dodge her hand coming to grab him, in slow motion. He rounded off around her, smirking as he did, before running off again, Kara giving chase. She laughed out as she almost caught him once again, Revan ruffling his hand through her hair as he deftly dodged again.
Their intense game of tag continued till Revan decided to not dodge anymore, instead taking Kara's hand and pulling her in close as they stopped on a hill near the DEO HQ. Kara smiled widely as he did; not settling for a hug, she went ahead and crashed her lips on his, moaning slightly into the kiss. Revan moved his lips with passionate intent, insisting against hers.
Who would have thought, Revan Snow on a hilltop, making out with a Kryptonian, engaged to her, no less.
"Come on, I'm not having you miss out on your surprise." Revan said, breathily, as he broke the kiss.
Kara purred before replying, "Go on, surprise me."
He quickly ran off, Kara following with a laugh.
Soon, they were at the DEO, stopping in Winn's lab. "Winn, it's time." Revan said.
"Say no more." Winn said, rubbing his hands together in excitement, as he pressed a button on his computer. A wall panel rotated to reveal a mannequin, with a new suit for Kara.
Kara looked at it, eyes wide and mouth slowly opening a little. "Wha-" she tried, but failed.
The new suit was of a slightly lighter shade of blue, her symbol just a tad bit smaller but no less visible. This version had no skirt, as it was a full body suit, the blue of the torso continuing till it was overtaken by knee high red boots as her usual signature. The heels were replaced by platforms. The right forearm had a small bracer, similar to Revan's. The only thing missing was her cape.
"I totally would have designed a Kryptonian nanofiber cape, but I know you love that particular one for a special reason. So I'll just put that one in. May I?" Revan spoke.
Kara barely registered his words, nodding as Revan took her cousin's baby blanket off the shoulders of her current suit and put it on her new one. "The bracer has a HUD like mine, so on the rare occasion you need tech support and information, you can use that. And guess what else." Revan smirked. Kara looked at him for an answer. He gently took her hand, particularly her ring hand, with the engagement ring he'd given her. "I made the ring nanotech housing compatible." He said as he guided her now closed fist, ring projected outward, towards a centre terminal. As the ring locked in to it, the suit promptly vanished into the terminal, and the ring glowed for a second. "Now you can suit up like me, hassle free about clothes. No more tearing shirts off."
Kara didn't waste much time in jumping at Revan and hugging him tightly. She'd be worried about breaking some bones if he wasn't who he was, but she didn't.
"Do you like it?" Revan asked nervously.
"I love it." Kara finally spoke, pulling back from the hug just enough to see him. "Thank you." She smiled brightly.
"For you, love." Revan smiled back.
As they were about to kiss again, Winn groaned. "Yeah, okay lovebirds. No need to remind me how single I am. Be disgustingly sweet elsewhere."
Kara all but laughed as she pulled Revan along with her, quickly changing to her new suit, hassle free as Revan had said.
Pants were good indeed.

Hours later, after doing their rounds of the city and sifting through work, the two heroes were enjoying some time by themselves at the park, several boxes of food laid out in front of them. Revan lay comfortably, with his head on Kara's lap, her fingers tangled up in his messy black hair, herself sitting with her back against a tree. They were having a little mini-picnic.
"How is Big Belly Burger real?" Kara asked as she finished her second burger.
"I'll do you one better." Revan said, looking up towards her. "How does every single universe we know of have this one thing in common? Big Belly Burger is everywhere."
"A mystery of the Multiverse." Kara sighed, then giggled as she bent down to plant a kiss on Revan's forehead. "Thanks again for the suit."
"You're more than Welcome, Girl of Steel." Revan smirked.
"That's all well and good, Shooting Star, but picking a dress out for our wedding is not gonna be as easy." Kara smirked back.
"Well colour me scared." Revan chuckled.
"Kara?" Kara's communicator crackled.
"Rau damn it." Kara groaned. "What's up Winn?"
"I don't know, there's some really weird readings. Get to these coordinates in the hills." Winn quickly said.
Revan looked at the coordinates and nodded, "We're on our way Winn." He put the communicator down and looked at Kara, "Rain Check?"
"Rain Check." Kara confirmed, clicking her ring, and the two sped off.
.
.
Arriving at the coordinates, Revan noticed something that anyone would notice from a mile away.
There, away from the city, lay a massive vessel, seemingly for space travel.
"So that's what Winn picked up." Kara spoke.
"Winn, there's a vessel of some kind out here. It looks like spacecraft, but the proportions are off. Send a team." Revan said.
"Copy, on it." Winn replied.
"Try to secure it, we're on out way." J'onn now spoke.
Revan and Kara looked at each other and nodded. Kara quickly got to using her X-ray vision, while Revan sped around the ship, stopping at what appeared to be a gate for entry and exit.
"This thing's not letting me see through it. It's different than lead though." Kara said.
"I think I found the door. Come on." Revan said, and Kara floated in beside him as they entered the vessel. "Stay on guard." He quickly whispered.
They walked through the halls, and before long, ended up on what appeared to be the bridge.
"These consoles and the tech in this ship are way too advanced to be from this era." Revan said.
"So what does that mean?" Kara asked.
"We may be looking at some sort of a time ship." Revan replied.
"Time ship?" Win asked over comms.
"Like a spaceship travels through space, this one-" Revan began but was interrupted.
"Travels through time." A voice spoke from another hallway leading up to the bridge. Revan immediately whirled around to face it, ready for whatever came his way. "Greetings, Comet. I'd ask that you stand down, I'm not your enemy." The voice belonged to a thin, grey skinned being, presumably male. He had white hair, and three crystals on his forehead. He wore a full body suit that appeared to be some kind of a uniform.
"You'll forgive me for being wary and untrusting of that." Revan replied.
"Of course, I understand." the being nodded. "Allow me to explain. My name is Brainiac V and I am from the 31st century. We have accidentally crashed here in this time, and I'm afraid I may need your help to get back."
Revan and Kara looked at each, sharing the same sentiment.
Curiouser and curiouser.
