AN: So…hi. Wanted to be experimental. Testing different things out. This chapter's a bit on the short side, but I promise they'll be more after the fact. Anyways, enjoy. This was also republished from AO3 as well, which I have now.:)
I don't own RWBY or Kamen Rider. RWBY and its characters belong to Monty Oum (RIP) and Rooster Teeth, while Kamen Rider Geats is owned by Toei.
Ziin was always a man of optimism. Ever since a certain fox convinced him to live in the moment, he, Tsumuri, and a number of his own supporters from the future have tried and lead a new DGP. Try to follow Ace's example of living in the moment.
Learning about the various different Riders, and the idea of the multiverse certainly propelled the ambition and aspirations of this new DGP, and overall, the hopes that Ziin could do what others before him could not; make people smile and live in the moment, like Ace Ukiyo once taught him.
So when Tsumuri, the navigator for the new DGP threw him a location and a potential candidate to find, he expected it to be like how Tsumuri always did it; walk up to the candidate, say something along the lines of 'congratulations, you are now a Kamen Rider', and then that's it. Always a sponsor or supporter that followed greeting themselves in their own weird way. Whether that be frog statues, or letters, or just actually showing up in person.
Clearly, however, Ace was NOT with him at this moment as he found himself in a forest of all things, shooting at black, vicious beasts hellbent on snuffing out all life and light out of this forest.
Ziin, in his Rider form, blasted his gun towards a few of these beasts, trying to ward them off as he tried to reach his destination. After a while, he did. But, in a very clear sense of the word, it wasn't what he expected. Because as it turned out…
The person whom he was attempting to recruit…was a little red headed girl of all things. Clutching on to her was an asian boy, not too older than the girl. The man looked at Ziin suspiciously, as he tried to reach a hand out.
"I won't hurt either of you. But we need to get out of here." He tried to say cautiously. Clearly, the Asian kid seemed to relax his stance as he saw the armored man. Ziin saw a knife hidden underneath the Asian kid in his other hand. A paltry means of protection.
"Here." He claims, handing them both two boxes. As the kids looked hesitatingly at each other, they both grabbed the boxes. Opening them, they found themselves in awe of what was inside. Inside both was a belt of some type, alongside a circular tiny object that seemed to fit in the middle of said belt. For the Asian kid, it was green and black, and in the image of a peacock. In the red-haired woman's object, it was pink and blue, in the image of a sloth of some type.
More importantly however, only in the red-haired woman's box, was some type of extra object. A buckle.
Powered Builder, to be more precise.
"One day, both of you will become great heroes. But for now, you must run. Survive. Be who you truly want to be." Ziin claimed. He thought to himself that this was probably what Ace would've said to them, if he were here, if much more vaguely and cliche. Unfortunately, he wasn't, and Ziin learned that he wasn't the best with words. Yet, somehow, they seemed to have worked. The two stared wide-eyed at the fox man standing before them, as he walked away from them, pulling out his Laser Raise Riser, flipping the back of the gun once.
[Finish Mode.]
Firing the shot in the hair, the bullet transformed into a giant blue wolf floating wolf head, swarming towards any Grimm nearby. Smashing into them, they each would be thrown by the impact back.
[Laser Victory!]
Ziin soon vanished, having left the two young orphans on their own in a quiet forest.
While Ziin returned to the future…to one future Nora Valkyrie and Lie Ren, it was like the fox man vanished from existence. Leaving them with not only future prospects…but even more powerful implications.
Ziin returned to a small, white platform hovering above a background of colors. He looked around, a small smile on his face. He pulled out what looked like some type of spider phone, as two names and contacts were added to it.
"Nora Valkyrie and Lie Ren, huh? Why do those names sound…familiar?" He said as he read their names on said phone. "As Kamen Rider Thunar and Zhanshi? A little generic, but could be worse…"
"Ziin." A female voice stated. Looking up, he saw a woman with long black hair, tied into a long ponytail. Her clothes were a baggy mishmash of black and white. Holding up yet another box similar to the one that he just gave Nora and Ren. He also noticed both of their symbols simultaneously on said box.
"Tsumuri? Did I forget to give what I was supposed to give to the two?" He asked curiously, as Tsumuri gave a soft smile.
"No, Ziin. The sponsor wishes to hand this to them 14 years later."
That direct response caused Ziin to pause a moment.
"Excuse me, fourteen years?!" He asked, as Tsumuri attempted to move herself over.
"Correct. Our sponsor still wishes to remain anonymous, but they believe at that point, Thunar will access her Desire Driver for the first time. The sponsor also hopes that handing the other buckle inside will convince Kamen Rider Zhanshi to utilize his Desire Driver." Tsumuri stated, shoving the box right into Ziin's hands. He was still confused on why exactly they decided to activate it now, but as a portal appeared behind him, Tsumuri gave a nod.
"Good luck. Ziin." She smiled, as Ziin gave a small chortle, walking towards the portal.
I mean, it wasn't like Ziin was going to expect things to go bad. Right?
…right?
