Attention all readers-Here is the Johto region. I'm going on record to say that I'm working hard on the Johto region and I've only seen certain clips online for certain episodes. In the original airing of Pokemon and its entire running of Ash and Pikachu's journey, I know that Ash doesnt have a sibling. Like the other Pokemon Fanfiction that I have uploaded so far, in my version (as well as others that I have read), Ash has a sibling.
Also, Jordan will do the current count for the number of times Team Rocket tried to take Pikachu and Meeko away from her and Ash, that includes the banned and not aired in the United States episodes. I don't want to make those episodes feel left out. I hope that you will like it and Happy Reading!
I DONT OWN POKEMON! I ONLY OWN THE OC AND THE CREATION OF HER REGIONAL POKEMON TEAM! TO ANYONE WHO HAS AN ISSUE WITH THE REGION ORDER THAT I'M WRITING, I ASK THAT YOU STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT IT! ITS GETTING REALLY ANNOYING RIGHT NOW! I'M WORKING WITH WHAT I GOT SO DONT RUSH ME TO DO THE OTHER REGIONS, OK!
In the forest, a bird was squawking over Ash, Jordan, Misty and Brock.
Narrator: Once again, our heroes have left the comforts of Pallet Town behind them. Their sights set on a new goal.
Jordan: I think this new journey will be fun.
Meeko: Riolu. Olu.
Narrator, nodding in agreement with Jordan: Now, Ash, his sister Jordan, and their friends are heading for New Bark Town and the Johto League. Well, maybe.
"Pi?" Pikachu asked, confused then points up ahead. "Pika, Pik."
"Huh?" said Ash, looking up.
"Pika, Pika." Pikachu tells Ash.
"What, Pikachu?" asked Ash.
"What did you spot, Pikachu?" asked Jordan.
"Riol?" asked Meeko. Brother and sister looked to see a familiar branch above them.
"Yeah, that branch looks familiar." said Ash.
"Ash, you mean…." said Misty, realizing what was going on.
"Not again." said Jordan.
"Pika." said Pikachu, disappointed.
"Olu!" said Meeko.
"Oh, no, we've been walking around in circles all day!" complained Misty, then glares at Ash. "You said you knew where you were going and we're totally lost now! Where do we go?"
"Well, if you're so smart why don't you be the one to decide?" asked Ash as Misty growled at him.
"That's a good idea. I'll find a way out of here." said Misty, taking Ash's idea to heart, looking around for another path.
"Come on, Misty, lets go." Ash taunted her. "We're waiting for your directions."
"Don't rush me, Ash! I just have to think!" argued Misty.
"Well, this is gonna be a brand-new experience for you." said Ash.
"Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to have a different older brother." said Jordan.
"You wouldn't trade Ash for the world, Jordan." said Brock.
"I would trade him for you." said Jordan.
"We're not lost because of me!" shouted Misty.
"Hey! Yelling never solves anything, so just calm down!" shouted Brock, pushing Misty and Ash into their separate corners. "You two have to learn to be more mature like me or just be calm like Jordan."
"Huh? Uhh…" said Misty and Ash.
"Toge!" said Togepi, happy that something was coming as it hops out of Misty's arms.
"Wha…" said Misty, following Togepi.
"Toge, Togepriii!" said Togepi, enchanted by what was in front of it.
"Pikachu!" said Ash, giving chase as Pikachu and Meeko followed Togepi. "Pikachu!"
"Meeko, where are you going?" asked Jordan, chasing after Ash. Both Ketchums stopped to see an unknown Pokémon in a small lake.
"A Pokémon?" asked Brock.
"Its beautiful." said Misty.
"Wonder what kind it is." said Jordan.
"Huh! It sure is." said Ash. The Pokémon looked back at the quartet before taking off and disappearing in the woods. Ash gasps before going after it.
"Wait! Come back!" shouted Ash, only to fall down a hill.
"Pika, Pika!" said Pikachu as he, Meeko, Jordan and Togepi tumbled after him.
"Wah! Riolu!" said Jordan and Meeko.
"Ash! Jordan!" said Misty and Brock, rushing after them and tumbled down hill as well.
"Jiggly." said Jigglypuff, walking past the quartet, curious as it heard them screaming and follows suit. "Jiggly! Jigglypuff!"
"We'll never find our way in this." said Jessie.
"This fog's as thick as pea soup." said James.
"Without the little hunks of ham." added Meowth. Team Rocket sighed as they walked through the fog.
"It looks like its finally lifted." said Jessie as the fog starts disappearing.
"Hot diggity dog!" cheered James.
"Lets go get lunch!" said Meowth.
They ran quickly as possible in getting lunch until they stop to catch their breath. "What's that?" Meowth asked, looking at what's in front of them.
"Hm? Huh?" said Jessie and James.
"Looks like a university." said James.
"Or maybe even some kind of school." wondered Meowth.
"Of, if it is, it mush have some kind of cafeteria." exclaimed Jessie. In the forest tree tops, a flock of Fearow became agitated as they flew away, causing Team Rocket to scream in terror.
"Ohh. This is for the birds." said Team Rocket, once they were inside.
"Is that you, Nurse Joy?" asked the Johto Professor, hearing the door to his lab. "Thanks for coming over on such short notice. I guess I should've called weeks ago but I got caught up in my research project."
Jessie and James gulped, realizing that they and Meowth stumbled into the research lab of Professor Elm. "You'll find the Pokémon we talked about running around the lab somewhere." said Professor Elm.
"Pokémon?" asked James, looking at Jessie.
"Is there a problem, Nurse Joy?" Professor Elm asked.
"Not a problem in the world." Jessie tells him.
"Jessie!" said James.
"Argh! Just be quiet! I'll handle this!" growled Jessie, giving him a noogie. "Well, now that Nurse Joy is finally here what is it you'd like me to do for you?"
"What we talked about on the phone." said Professor Elm, not looking away from his project. "A complete checkup for the Totodile."
"Totodile?" Jessie and James asked. Meowth starts screaming until they covered his mouth and looked over at the Totodile that was biting his tail. Totodile looks up at Team Rocket and smiled.
"Totodile." it said, arms opened wide, then playfully sprays James with its Water Gun.
"Oh, silly me." said Jessie in her fake Nurse Joy voice, then picks up Totodile, James and Meowth. "Now, how could I have forgotten that? I'll take it right over to the Pokémon center. Bye-bye!"
"Thanks, Nurse Joy. Great to see you." said Professor Elm.
Back in the forest, Ash, Jordan, Misty and Brock were tiredly walking. "I don't think I could go much further." said Misty.
"Me neither." said Brock.
"So tired." said Jordan, carrying Meeko on her back as they came up to a road sign.
"Hey, look what that signs says!" said Ash.
"Huh?"
"New Bark Town!" said Misty, reading the sign.
"Pika! Riol!" said Pikachu and Meeko.
"Alright!" said Ash.
"Ash, maybe we'll see another one of those Pokémon we saw in the woods." said Misty.
"Hey, yeah." said Ash. "Hmm."
"New Bark Town'." said Brock, reading the sign again. "This way to the town where the winds of new beginnings blow. Yes! Our Next adventure starts right here!"
"Cool!" said Jordan.
"Where winds of new beginnings blow." thought Ash as he stares at the town. "I can almost hear the crowd at my first Johto league match. Ahh. Yeah! I'm ready!"
"Uh, what do you think he's ready for, Brock? Jordan?" asked Misty.
"He's ready to overcome every obstacle to achieve his ultimate destiny." said Brock.
"And he's ready for his first gym battle." said Jordan.
"Oh, that." said Misty, regretting her question.
"Pika-Pik!" shouted Pikachu, hopping into Ash's arms.
"Riolu!" shouted Meeko, with her paw in the air.
"The journey starts right now, Pikachu, Jordan and Meeko!" said Ash. "Look out, Johto League, we're on our way!"
"Pikachu!" shouted Pikachu.
"That gives me an idea!" said Jordan, with a stack of spiral notebooks in hand.
"Riolu!" said Meeko.
"Ash, you cant go to the Johto League until you register!" said Brock, grabbing Ash by his backpack.
"Uh? Oh, yeah, that's right." said Ash.
"Do you need help with spelling?" asked Misty, looking at Jordan.
"Always. I never know if I'm spelling a word wrong." said Jordan.
"Look out, Johto League, we're gonna register!" said Ash.
"Pika, Pika!" said Pikachu.
"Do you have any cash in case they charge a fee?" asked Ash.
"I might have something in my backpack." said Jordan as Misty and Brock grunted in exaggeration.
"There's no fee! You just sign up at the Pokémon center!" said Brock. "Come on."
"Brock! You don't have to get frustrated with Ash and I." said Jordan as they walked to the Pokémon center. "Besides, how we were supposed to know? We just got out of the forest."
"I bet there's a Nurse Joy in charge of this Pokémon center too." said Misty as Brock starts humming with a dreamy look on his face.
"Oh, Nurse Joy!" Brock said as they entered the Pokémon center.
"Chansey!" said Chansey, popping up.
"Chansey? You're not Nurse Joy." said Brock.
"Chansey!" it said to Brock, amused, then pressed a button.
"Welcome, all Trainers. I'm Nurse Joy." she said as a TV Screen was dropped down.
"Ah, there she is." said Brock.
"That's funny." said Misty.
"Why is she on TV?" asked Ash and Jordan.
"I'm over at the Elm Laboratory right now and I'm sorry I'm not here to help you But I'll be back at the Pokémon center no later than 2:00 this afternoon." said Nurse Joy.
"Guess we gotta wait." said Ash.
"Didn't she say 2:00?" asked Misty.
"That's what I heard." said Jordan.
"Its already 3:30!" said Ash as they looked at the clock on the wall.
"Oh, may as well sit down." said Misty.
"She must be running late." said Ash as Brock rushes over to them.
"We can't just hang around here and hope everything's okay!" said Brock. "Don't you understand? Nurse Joy might be in some kind of terrible danger!"
"Then what do you want us to do, lover-boy?" asked Jordan, crossing her arms.
"Riol!" said Meeko.
"Lets go find her!" said Brock.
"Whatever you say, Brock." said Ash.
Sirens were blaring outside of Professor Elm's lab. "Wonder what's going on here." said Misty.
"Nurse Joy's not the only familiar face in town!" said Ash.
"No way!" said Jordan, a shocked look appeared on her and Meeko's faces.
"Riolu, Olu." said Meeko.
"Huh? I cant believe its her!" said Brock, then runs over to Officer Jenny. "Hello, Officer Jenny, I'm Brock. And I'd like to present you with a small token of my admiration."
"Huh?" said Officer Jenny, facing Brock.
"Perhaps you'd like to get together this evening for a nice quiet…" said Brock when out of nowhere, Misty and Jordan grabbed him.
"We better haul you off before she does!" said Misty.
"Do you have to do this every time, Brock?" asked Jordan.
"Excuse me, Officer Jenny, could you please tell me where we could find the lab of Professor Elm?" Ash asked as the girls dragged Brock away.
"We happen to be standing right in front of it." said Officer Jenny.
"Oh!" gasped Ash.
"Looks like trouble." said Brock, recovering quickly. "Don't worry, Officer Jenny, just leave this to me!"
"Brock, wait a second!" Ash called out after him.
"Hey!" shouted Misty.
"Wait for us!" yelled Jordan.
"You cant go in there!" said Officer Jenny, but it was too late.
"Its all my fault." said Professor Elm, placing his head on the desk as Nurse Joy stood beside him. "I should have been paying attention."
"Well, maybe if you got out of this lab once in a while you'd start to notice what's going on around you." Nurse Joy scolded the man. "Now, what're you going to tell that new trainer when she comes here to pick up her Totodile?"
"I'm so sorry but I was observing a very unusual cell division." said Professor Elm, picking up the sample.
"Stop making excuses for yourself, professor!" said Nurse Joy.
"Have no fear, Brock is here!" said Brock, popping up next to Nurse Joy.
"Huh? Hm?"
"And may I say, you're looking lovely." Brock said as he softly takes Nurse Joy's hands.
"Hey, save it, Romeo, we don't have tome for mushy stuff." said Misty.
"Could someone tell me what's going on here." said Nurse Joy.
"Forgive him." said Jordan. "Our friend over here is a romantic person and will fall for any girl he sees."
"Olu." said Meeko.
"Sure, you see, Nurse…." said Ash but was interrupted by Officer Jenny.
"You kids cant come barging in here in the middle of an official police investigation." said Officer Jenny.
"Investigation?" asked Ash and Jordan.
"I'm afraid someone has stolen a Pokémon." said Nurse Joy.
"Stolen a Pokémon?" asked the quartet.
"A new trainer's very first Pokémon is gone." Officer Jenny explained. "That poor girl, that poor Totodile."
"Totodile?" they asked again.
"Pika? Riol?" asked Pikachu and Meeko.
"You see, I was supposed to give this Totodile and this Cyndaquil to two new trainers tomorrow.
"Hey, look at that!" said Ash.
"It's a Cyndaquil!" said Brock.
"It's so cute!" said Misty and Jordan as Meeko squealed while Cyndaquil wiggled a bit in Professor Elm's arms before releasing some flames on its back.
"Don't be alarmed, this is normal behavior." said Professor Elm, holding Cyndaquil away from him so he doesn't get burned.
"Pika!" said Pikachu.
"Togeprii!" said Togepi.
"Olu!" said Meeko.
"Maybe I should explain things more fully." said Professor Elm. "New Bark Trainers get to choose one of three! A Chikorita. A new trainer just picked this one up the other day. It's a grass type. Or they can pick a Cyndaquil which is a fire type."
"Cyndaquil." squealed Cyndaquil.
"Or they can have a Totodile which is a water type." said Professor Elm.
"A Water type!" exclaimed Misty. "I pick that one."
"Pika!" Pikachu said, nodding.
"Both Totodile and Cyndaquil are cute!" said Jordan. "I would pick both if it were up to me."
"Riol." said Meeko.
"New Pokémon trainers back home get to pick a Charmander, or a Squirtle, or a Bulbasaur, but I got Pikachu." said Ash.
"Even though I'm not 10 years old, I got Riolu who I named Meeko." added Jordan.
"Well, if those were the Pokémon you had to choose from, I'd say you both must come from Pallet Town!" said Professor Elm.
"Yeah, that's right, and I'm here to register for the Johto League!" said Ash.
"I'm just his tag-a-long little sister who is his occasional battle training partner." said Jordan.
"So I suppose you both know Professor Samuel Oak." said Professor Elm.
"Professor Oak gave me Pikachu while he gave Jordan Meeko as an egg, and he's a good friend of mine." said Ash. "And he was even over at our house for dinner the other night!"
"Professor Oak is awesome." said Jordan.
"Yeah, he sure is a great person." said Brock. "Have you ever met him yourself, Professor Elm?"
"Of course, I know Professor Oak. I was his top student." he replied as Nurse Joy takes Cyndaquil out of his arms. "I remember the first paper I submitted to him at the university. A brilliant analysis of the Hybridized Communicative Faculties of Pokémon. A truly groundbreaking work. Professor Oak only gave me an A minus because he failed to recognize the genius of my thesis."
Not far from Brock and Professor Elm, Misty and Jordan were laughing and cooing over Cyndaquil. "Coochie-coochie-coo." said Misty, tickling Cyndaquil. "Coochie-coochie-coo. That tickles, huh?"
"Who's the cutest Pokémon we've ever seen?" said Jordan as Cyndaquil reaches out for her and Meeko. "That's right, you."
"Riolu!" said Meeko.
"I know that sometimes Professor Elm may sound like a hot head, but he's really very sweet and he raises wonderful Pokémon." Nurse Joy said, holding Cyndaquil tight.
"Yeah!" said Ash.
"And although I admire and respect Professor Oak's scientific achievements, I am forced to consider him my personal enemy!" said Professor Elm.
"Wow, Professor Elm sure can talk." said Misty.
"He likes to talk a lot." said Jordan.
"As you can see from my published work, I focus my studies on unusual Pokémon abilities which I find infinitely more interesting than Professor Oak's research which concentrates on Pokémon and their human relationships, because I feel…" Professor Elm said to Brock as he pets the books he had published.
"Sometimes I wish Professor Elm would be a little more like Professor Oak and do some research in the area of human relationships too." said Nurse Joy.
"Nurse Joy, the reason we came looking for you was 'cause I wanted to sign up for the Johto League." said Ash.
"Oh, I'm so sorry." said Nurse Joy. "I was supposed to be back at the Pokémon center by 2:00 but when I got to the lab I lost track of time."
"We just feel bad for the new trainer who's supposed to get that Totodile tomorrow." said Misty.
"Yeah, when I was a new trainer, I was so excited about getting my first Pokémon I couldn't even sleep the night before!" said Ash.
"So, you slept until for the next day!" teased Misty.
"He did. Guess who Ash threw his alarm clock at when he didn't hear me and our mom trying to wake him up on time." said Jordan.
"I said I was sorry." Ash said to his sister. "I didn't know, I was tired."
"You're lucky that your alarm clock missed my head." said Jordan as Ash groans.
"Anyway, I'm just saying, I know what its like to look forward to the day when you finally get your first Pokémon." said Ash.
"Pikachu!" added Pikachu.
"So was I because Ash was letting me go on his journey with me." said Jordan. "At that time, I didn't know that I was going to be getting a Pokémon."
"Riol?" Meeko asked.
"I don't regret getting you at all, Meeko." said Jordan, hugging her Pokémon.
"That's right." said Misty.
"You're part of this family, now." said Ash. "Even our mom adores you."
"Pik-Pikachu!" said Pikachu.
"Mm. That's why I'll do whatever I can to help you track down the Pokémon thief and bring back that Totodile." said Ash.
"We'll all help find it, Nurse Joy!" said Misty.
"Yeah!" said Jordan.
"Officer Jenny." said one of the New Bark Policemen, calling her over. "We didn't find any fingerprints, but we made a plaster cast of some suspicious footprints we found out behind the lab."
"Hmm." said Officer Jenny, taking a closer look.
"Huh!" said Misty and Ash.
"Now those footprints look familiar." said Jordan.
Jessie screamed and as Totodile bite onto her hair while running. "Help! Let go! Get off my hair, you filthy little…" Jessie said to Totodile. "James, Meowth, get this disgusting thing off me! Hurry!"
"Jess, that Totodile's really attached to you." said Meowth.
"Just make sure it doesn't go to your head." said James.
"That's a good one, Jimmy!" chuckled Meowth.
"Thanks." James said. Following Pikachu, Meeko and Growlithe, Officer Jenny and the others were on the trail. "Where's Growlithe taking us?" asked Ash.
"To the Pokémon thief I hope!" said Officer Jenny. "Growlithe's following the scent it picked up from those footprints to find the stolen Totodile!"
"Soon as we catch them, I can't wait to give that Pokémon thief a piece of my mind." said Jordan.
"Growlithe! Growlithe!" barked Growlithe, following the scent. Team Rocket finally takes a break to catch their breath and sits on a nearby bench.
"This thing's becoming a big headache." said Jessie, wanting Totodile off of her hair.
"Jessie, just think of it as a Pokémon hair extension." said James.
"I don't find this funny!" Jessie shouted. "My hair is gonna come out at the roots if this doesn't let go of me!"
She then starts swinging her hair around to get Totodile off, but it held on tight. "I'm calling the boss to tell him we got a hold of a new Pokémon or it got a hold of you." said Meowth as he walks over to a payphone. Just as he was about to open the door, Meowth was knocked back.
"What was that for?" he asked Jessie.
"I know how you operate, Meowth and if you make the call, you'll take all the credit." said Jessie, knowing Meowth very well.
"I don't think I like the implication of your accusation." said Meowth.
"Is it too much to ask after enduring enough humiliation to waste nine lives for me to be the one to call the boss to bear him these good tidings?" he then asked Jessie. "I may be a Pokémon but for your information I still got feelings, and I wanna make that call!"
"Let me remind you that I took all the risk in stealing this thing, so I should get the reward." said Jessie. As they argued, they didn't pay attention to James, who was making his way towards the phone booth.
"Now I'm telling you to get out of my hair and let me make that phone call." Jessie ordered Totodile. James lifts up the phone.
"I aint in your hair, that's the Totodile." said Meowth. "And its obviously putting a big strain on your brain."
"At least I have a brain, you halfwit!" screamed Jessie.
"Half a wit is better than none!" shouted Meowth.
"How dare you!" shouted Jessie. As Jessie and Meowth were having their brawl, James places in a coin and was about to dial Giovanni's number.
"Oh?"
"Huh?"
"By any chance, do either of you remember the boss's area code?" James asked, causing the both of them to groan and drag James into their fight.
"Growlithe! Growlithe!" shouted Growlithe.
"Huh?" said Team Rocket as everyone ran up to them.
"Growl!" barked Growlithe.
"Its Team Rocket." said Ash.
"Its Twerp again!" Team Rocket said as Jordan marks a new page in a new notebook while Growlithe growls at them.
"I should have known it was you three all along!" said Ash.
"I'm curious to know why Totodile is hanging onto Jessie's hair for dear life." said Jordan.
"I'm placing all three of you under arrest for stealing that Totodile from Professor Elm's lab." Officer Jenny said, taking out her handcuffs.
"Prepare for trouble, you can't take us in!"
"And make it double, we'll fight and win!"
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all people within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!" said Jessie.
"Surrender now or prepare to fight, fight and fight!" said James.
"Meowth, that's right!" said Meowth.
"Could you repeat that?" asked Officer Jenny.
"Listen, you!" said Jessie as she demonstrates that Totodile had its mouth clamped shut on her hair. "It just so happens that this Totodile and I are inseparable!"
"Have you tried asking nicely to let go of your hair?" asked Jordan.
"Well…no." said Jessie.
"Riol." said Meeko, pointing it out to her.
"That Totodile's supposed to be the first Pokémon a new trainer thinks she's coming to pick up tomorrow." said Ash. "It belongs to her. Now, doesn't your conscience bother you even a little?"
"My conscience does bother me a bit." said James.
"We understand that when you three, you always try and steal Pikachu and Meeko, but at least give Totodile back so that this new trainer can more Pokémon for herself." said Jordan.
"Well, not me, I'm unconscious!" said Meowth.
"Riol? Riol, Riolu?" asked Meeko.
"That's not what I meant!" said Meowth as Meeko raises her paw to whack Meowth in the head.
"You know, Meeko? I was thinking the exact same thing." said Jordan.
"Riolu!" said Meeko, pointing to herself, then Jordan.
"I suppose my conscience would tell me if Team Rocket didn't go by a somewhat different ethical standard." said Jessie.
"Finders keepers, losers weepers." said Meowth and Team Rocket takes off with Totodile in tow.
"We'll see about that!" said Ash. "I choose you, Bulbasaur!"
"Bulbasaur!"
"Bulbasaur, use your Vine Whip now!" shouted Ash.
"Saur!" said Bulbasaur, releasing its Vine Whip and knocks Meowth down with Jessie and James, tripping over him. "Bulba!"
"Okay. Weezing, I choose you!" said James.
"Weezing!"
"Smoke Screen Attack!" shouted James and Weezing releases its Smoke Screen.
Bulbasaur looks around through the Smoke Screen, trying to find Weezing and Team Rocket. "I choose you, Charizard! Blow away that Smoke Screen!" said Ash.
Charizard roared determinedly as it uses its wings to blow away Weezing's Smoke Screen. "Huh?" said Team Rocket, seeing that their cover was blown. Bulbasaur was able to use its Vine Whip to grab Totodile and lift it from Jessie's hair, causing her to scream.
"Saur!" Bulbasaur said, pulling hard as it can until Totodile finally let's go.
"Don't worry, Totodile, I got you." said Ash, catching the little water type.
"Toto." said Totodile.
"Oh, just look at these horrible split ends." said Jessie, looking at her hair.
"If we lose that Totodile, the boss will have us scalped!" shouted Meowth as he scratches her.
"Get off me, you furball!" screeched Jessie.
"Don't call me a furball, you scuzzball!" shouted Meowth.
"I'm guessing we have that honor of calling him a furball." said Jordan as Meeko shrugged her shoulders.
"Alright, Growlithe, get in there and apprehend those three Pokémon thieves!" said Officer Jenny.
"Growl! Lithe!" howled Growlithe as it rushes over to Team Rocket.
"Huh?" said Jessie and Meowth.
"Weezing, Sludge Attack it now!" shouted James. Weezing spits out Sludge, hitting Growlithe in the face.
"Growl, Growl!" said Growlithe, shaking off the Sludge.
"Growlithe!" gasped Officer Jenny.
"Quick, James, while we've got the advantage!" said Jessie.
"This calls for a Victreebel Vine Whip Attack!" said James.
Victreebel screeches as it takes James. "Wait, let go, Victreebel, please!" begged James.
"Oh!" sighed Jessie. "I choose you, Lickitung!"
"Tung!" said Lickitung.
"Quick, Squirtle, use your Water Gun Attack!" said Ash, bringing out Squirtle who uses its water gun on Lickitung.
"Huh! Argh! Attack them!" ordered Jessie. Weezing, Arbok, Lickitung and Victreebel head straight for Ash and his Pokémon.
"Okay, everybody, let them have it!" said Ash.
"You heard him, Meeko!" said Jordan.
"Pikachu!"
"Chari!"
"Bulba!"
"Squirt!"
"Riolu!"
All of the attacks, formed a spiral as it heads straight for Team Rocket, knocking back every single one of Team Rocket's Pokémon. "Bye bye." said Ash.
"Pika." said Pikachu as he and Meeko landed on their feet.
"Huh?" said Jordan as all four Pokémon blasted off.
"Whats wrong, Jordan?" asked Misty.
"I never thought we would see the day that we would blast their Pokémon and not the three of them." said Jordan. Pikachu, Meeko, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charizard stared at Team Rocket, daring them to do something.
"I think we're about to have a blast!" said Jessie. Totodile walks forward and uses its water gun on Team Rocket.
"What do we tell the boss now?" asked a saddened Meowth.
"You can make the call this time, Meowth, and you can give him the same message we always have to give him!" said Jessie.
"Team Rocket messed things up again!" screamed Team Rocket.
Totodile waved its arms, pleased with itself that it defeated Team Rocket. "That was great work, Totodile." said Ash.
"Awesome Water Gun!" said Jordan, causing a blush to creep on Totodile's face.
"Totodile!"
"Well, no arrest." said Officer Jenny.
"You can take me into custody." said Brock.
"Uh…" Officer Jenny said, uncomfortable by Brock's proclamation.
"Come on, lover boy, what you need is solitary confinement." said Misty, dragging Brock by his backpack.
"For the next 3 weeks!" said Jordan, agreeing with Misty as she glared at Brock.
"Glad we could help, officer." said Ash, handing Officer Jenny Totodile.
"Hmm, thanks to you, a new Pokémon Trainer is going to be very happy." she said, taking Totodile from him.
"Mm-hmm, and now I can finally go and get registered for the Johto League." said Ash as Pikachu hops onto his shoulder.
"Pikachu."
"Totodile!" exclaimed Totodile.
Back in Kanto, at Professor Oak's lab, the phone starts ringing. "Someone always calls during my soap operas." grumbled Professor Oak as he sits at his desk.
"Hello there, Professor Oak. How're you doing?" asked Ash.
"Because the look on your face is saying that your angry that we called." said Jordan as she and the others popped on the screen.
"I'm doing just fine and I'm not angry that you called." said the professor.
"We finally made it to New Bark Town!" said Ash.
"That's excellent news. Are you registered yet, Ash?" asked Professor Oak.
"Not yet, but we ran into an old student of yours." said Ash.
"And boy, can he talk a lot." said Jordan.
"Remember me, professor?" asked Professor Elm, butting into the call.
"Yes. Professor Elm." said Professor Oak.
"I want you to know that Ash and Jordan were a tremendous help to me and everyone at my lab today." said Elm. "They've certainly done an outstanding job of training their Pokémon. Of course, I'd expect great skill from someone trained by a superb teacher like yourself."
"Ash and Jordan certainly deserves your praise, but I'm afraid you flatter me." said Professor Oak.
"Now that I'm responsible for sending new trainers out just like you are, Professor. I'm going to make it my goal to do a better job than you do." He said to his Kanto counterpart. "I-I mean, just as good a job as you do. But speaking of doing a better job than you do, uh…not that I'm saying I am better or even could do a better job."
"They could be on for hours." said Misty.
"That's if we don't go insane with boredom." said Jordan.
"Next time, I'll remember to reverse the charges." said Ash.
"I was able to answer some of the questions that seemed to stump you when you spoke at the last meeting of the Pokémon Symposium." said Professor Elm, not noticing that Totodile hopped off the counter and walks over.
"Toto, Toto." said Totodile.
"I'd be glad to send you a copy of the article if you'd like." suggested Professor Elm. "I think you'd find it very enlightening."
Totodile walks past Ash, Jordan, Misty and Brock, going up to Nurse Joy. "Huh?" asked the quartet as Totodile reaches Nurse Joy.
"Hey, Nurse Joy." said Brock.
"Where did Professor Elm go?" she asked.
"I think he got a little distracted again." said Misty.
"While on a phone call to Kanto." added Jordan.
"Before I explain my theory, professor, I think I should take just a moment to give you a bit of background first." Professor Elm said before going on with his theory.
"He'll be a while." said Nurse Joy. "In the meantime, lets do what you came here to do and get you registered and approved for the Johto League."
"Great!" said Ash. Nurse Joy then places Dexter into the machine, getting Ash's information for the Johto League as a picture of Ash and Jordan were pulled up.
"Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town." said Mr. Roboto, taking only Ash's information and approved it. "Welcome to the Johto League."
"Congratulations, Ash." said Nurse Joy as she hands him back Dexter. "You're now fully qualified and approved to become an official participant in the Johto League."
"Great! Thanks, Nurse Joy." said Ash.
"You'll need a copy of the Johto League guidebook so make sure you don't lose it." Nurse Joy tells him.
"Okay. Huh!" said Ash as Brock yanks the guidebook from him.
"I'll hold it close to my heart which is just where I hold you." Brock said to Nurse Joy.
"Weirdo." said Jordan.
"How many badges does Ash have to win in this league?" asked Misty.
"Once he earns eight badges, he'll be qualified to enter and participate in the Johto championship." said Nurse Joy. "I'd say the best place to start is the Violet Gym in Violet City."
"Then that's where we'll go." said Ash.
"It sounds like a real colorful place." said Misty.
"Yeah, you can battle for your next badge there and start to catch up with Gary Oak." said Brock.
"Yeah." said Ash.
"Come on, Ash!" said Jordan, tugging on her brother's arm. "Let's start training right now."
"Riolu!" said Meeko.
"You got it, Jordan. You're on!" said Ash.
"Pikachu!" said Pikachu.
"Watch out, Gary Oak 'cause Ash Ketchum is right behind you!" said Ash.
"Pika!" shouted Pikachu.
"Good luck in the Johto League." said Officer Jenny as she, Nurse Joy and Professor Elm waved the quartet good bye.
"Remember, you can always stop in at a Pokémon center if you run into any trouble." said Nurse Joy.
"And thanks again for rescuing Totodile, Ash and Jordan." said Professor Elm, then looks down at Totodile. "Tomorrow morning, you'll get to meet your new trainer, Totodile and I have a feeling that you two will become best friends just like Pikachu, Meeko, Jordan and Ash are."
Narrator: As he heads for Violet City to continue his Pokémon journey, Ash, Jordan and their friends are happy in the knowledge that a new trainer will soon begin her Pokémon journey.
Jordan: I wish that Trainer the best of luck and I hope that Totodile takes her far in the Johto League.
Meeko: Riol, Riol, Olu.
Jordan: Wanna put your Pokémon food where your mouth is on that?
Meeko: Olu!
Narrator, smiling at the bickering: And with the winds of new beginnings at their backs, the look forward to the Johto League.
Out of nowhere, Jigglypuff appears not far behind the quartet. "Jigglypuff!" it squealed, then chases after them.
Narrator: Hey, guys, look behind you too!
Jordan: Was that Jigglypuff?
