A/N: So I guess this is gonna be my first actual literary work on this site. I have so many stories running through my head, but I figure I'll just write whatever appeals to me the most in the moment. Critiques and advice are highly encouraged and appreciated. Reviews in general would be great motivators for me too.
Disclaimer: I don't own Dragon Ball

Chapter 1
"...and 20, that's your last set." I let out a relieved groan as I racked the 430 lb barbell. My trainer, Ben, handed me my towel and water which I raised in a cheers motion in thanks. Once I was relatively sweat free and hydrated I stood up, making my way to another machine, Ben hot on my tail. "You should probably call it here, I can't imagine you have anything left in the tank."
"Nah that's quitter talk, the grind never ends. I've got plenty in me to burn." I say that, but there's giant black spots in my vision right now. I feel like an ass for not putting my weights back, but I can barely lift my arms right now. It sounds odd, but I love this feeling. Pushing my body beyond its breaking point, shattering my limits? Hardly anything can compare. Besides sex. Sex compares.
I get odd looks when I talk about it, but Ben gets it, to a degree at least. He thinks I take it too far, says it's a miracle I haven't damaged my body beyond repair. That's fair, but it's not like I'm not careful. I increase my weights responsibly, I stretch religiously to keep muscles and joints limber, I stay hydrated. My problem lies in my need to continue my workouts to the point of near blackouts.
I'm frustrated by the limits of my body. I don't know when it started, but in the back of my mind I think I've been trying to emulate my childhood heroes from a young age. Goku from Dragon Ball mostly. I've trained in different martial arts since I was 12, worked my body to the bone since I was 16, and even did some gymnastics for a time.
It wasn't even like I got into fights often either, I just got self satisfaction in making my body powerful. I'll never be superhuman though, and I'm reaching the point where I can't grow much stronger without bulking up more than I want to. I also happen to be very vain, and have a certain aesthetic I want to maintain. If I'm just maintaining where I am now though, life is gonna get pretty boring…
Elsewhere in the Infinite Multiverse…
Zeno, the King of All, was bored.
Very bored.
As an immortal god to whom everything belonged, life loses most of its flare after a few countless millennia. There was no challenge for a being capable of erasing whole universes with a thought, nor would there be, so entertainment was Zeno's only interest. But his sources for entertainment have since run dry. He had seen all that has occurred and will ever occur in every universe under his care.
He needs something fresh, but has no idea how to find such a thing. Perhaps the Grand Priest will have an idea. "Hey."
The Grand Priest, second in strength only to himself, appeared before him in an instant, bowing at the hip. "Yes, my Lord? How can I be of assistance?"
"I'm bored." Not much to go off of, but the Grand Priest had been his attendant for nearly all their long lives, and would gleam the meaning of his words easily.
"You tire of all your Universes have to offer then? You could always simply destroy them and form something new from the remains perhaps?" That is indeed possible, and the inhabitants of his Universes weren't exactly precious to him or anything, but…
"Maybe, but what other ideas do you got?" The Grand Priest holds his chin in thought.
"You enjoyed watching that Goku fellow did you not? We could tweak events in the course of his life and watch events unfold in real time." A thought occurs to the Grand Priest during his pitch. "We could even use the Super Dragon Balls to bring in an outsider to replace a key figure in his life. Perhaps that brother of his that never amounted to much."
Zeno was bouncing on his throne now. This sounds exactly like what he needs! But he doesn't want it spoiled for him, so… "That's perfect! I'll leave it all up to you, no spoilers!"
The Grand Priest chuckled at his Lord's exuberance. "In that case, leave everything to me." With a bow, the Grand Priest disappears to make preparations. First up, gathering the Super Dragon Balls…
Back at the Gym…
After a minute of struggle I managed to get in position for hanging sit-ups. Ben cuts in during my second set. "You're literally about to pass out, man. Get down before you break your neck."
"Last set, I promise. Which *gasp* is something you should be saying to me, you know?" My breathing was heavy, and the spots in my vision were growing, but I never felt more alive than in moments like these. I pull myself up once more until I was horizontal to the ground.
"Your wish has been granted!" An impossibly deep voice rings in my head.
'WHA?!' Startled, I jerked and slipped from my perch due to my sweaty calves. 'Shit!'
I brace for a nasty landing on my head and back but instead I fell farther through a black void. Did I pass out again? No, this isn't the same. What's happening? Where did that voice come from? What wish? What the FUCK is going on?!
Space between Universe 6 7…
The Grand Priest watched as the impossibly huge golden dragon turned into golden light, reveal 7 planet sized Dragon Balls, and disperse throughout the two Universes they belonged to. One remained in this space between, and turned to stone to resemble a barren planet. Nodding, he smiled at his first task being complete.
"Now to make just a few more small adjustments. Lord Zeno should be very pleased with these results." He chuckled, having a bit of fun himself, before disappearing in a beam of light.
Planet Saurus…
Finally landing I hit a rocky surface hard enough to form a shallow crater. Groaning, I pull myself into a sitting position. "Fucking hell that hurt! …What happened to my voice?" I sound like a very young Gaara for some reason. Glancing down at myself I notice something even more startling.
'Why am I small?! …and animated?!' I hear laughter nearby. I look around for the source and make an even more shocking discovery. 'Is that Vegeta?! What the actual fuck is going on?!'
"That local really knocked you on your ass, didn't he?"
'Local?' As soon as the word crossed my mind, a flood of information hit me. I'm a Mid-Class Saiyan named Aikon, son of Bardock and Gine, older brother to Kakarot. I only recently joined the Frieza Force as a part of Vegeta's squad. So I seem to have replaced Raditz completely for some reason.
That's as far as I'm allowed to recall before a hulking Dino-Man thing in primitive armor, a Saurian apparently, lands in front of me. It cocked back its fist and slammed it into a hastily thrown up cross guard. I was sent flying from the force before the instincts of my new body kicked in, backflipping onto my feet and grinding to a halt.
I shook out the pain in my arms and glared at the reptilian. "Alright, just know that whatever happens next, is all your fault." All the training and Ki Control of this body is readily available to me now, and my blood is pounding in my ears. Two more Saurians land on either side of the first, each wielding a spear. One passes an enormous battleax to my attacker, and I can't help but grin like a maniac, teeth fully bared.
"Finally! I can tear someone apart without consequence!" My blood red aura blazed to life around me. "Bring it on!"
I blasted towards them as the spearman met my charge with their own. They thrust towards my shoulders for a quick, fatal blow, but at the last second I rotated to avoid both spears. I then rotated to slam my knee into the right one's snout, earning a sickening crunch as he was sent flying. I dropped to the ground just in time to avoid the other one's retaliatory slash. With his guard wide open, I slammed my fist into his gut with full force, causing him to cough up blood, and drop to his knees, holding his stomach.
The axeman was on me in an instant, swinging his ax down with all his strength. I threw myself back for some distance, but not enough. As soon as the ax touched down, the ground burst violently several meters across, throwing both me and the second spearman away.
I roll to a stop several meters away before I can get back on my feet. As I look up, the axeman is rearing his head back, flame-like energy escaping the corners of its mouth, an energy blast, certainly.
Time for my first beam struggle then, how exhilarating!
A perfect sphere of crimson energy the size of a softball ball forms above my raised palm. In honor of Bardock, "Spirit Javelin!"
The Saurian fires off a red crackling beam of energy from his mouth as I throw my own attack his way in the same moment. The ball becomes more spear-like once it leaves my hand, and expands further once it meets the beam attack.
Both attacks stop dead in the middle, and struggle for dominance in a brilliant display.
'If my body wasn't five, I'd probably be hard right now…' It was everything a dbz fan could ask for and more. The wind pressure created from the colliding attacks whipped my hair around violently, and I couldn't wipe the grin off my face if I tried. 'Speaking of trying.'
"This was fun, but all good things come to an end. Begone!" I threw my hand forward, and pumped more energy into my Spirit Javelin. It nearly doubles in size, and quickly overwhelms the beam, erasing the axeman on impact.
The spearman I'd punched earlier finally removed his body from the mountainside he collided with just in time to see my attack continuing at him. He sighs in resignation and is swiftly erased as well before the blast explodes, taking most of the mountain with it.
The Last Saurian, the first spearman from earlier, arrives on the scene at last. I walk towards him with a thoughtful expression. "You know, your Power Levels weren't that far off from my own, yet this fight wasn't even close. Wanna know why I think that is?"
The lizard man just growls at me, how articulate. "Not only was I stronger and faster, my instinct for combat is simply on another level from yours. This was hardly a challenge, but I can still feel I grew from this battle. Thanks for that." I raised my palm in his direction. "Sayonara."
I sent an energy wave his way, and thus put the final nail in the coffin for the Saurian race.
Leaving a smoking trench, and crater filled battlefield behind, I head back to my squad.
On the way back I reflect further on the memories of this body. Aikon was considered a bit of an anomaly amongst his race, being born with a black tail instead of the typical brown every Saiyan had regardless of hair color. As far as the inhabitants of Planet Vegeta were concerned there was no record of such a thing happening before and so they assumed I was potentially the Legendary Super Saiyan. See that capital L? Vegeta and I were pretty close in age it would seem, meaning Broly and I were also close in age, so it was only his enormous Power Level at birth that kept Aikon, me, from being the one who was exiled.
I know that Shallot and Giblet from Dragon Ball Legends also had black tails because they were descendents of a Super Saiyan God or something, but I don't have any other evidence that had anything to do with me. I'm pretty strong for my age with a PL of 1,200. I'm pretty sure Raditz at the beginning of Z was between 1,200 and 1,500, so I seem to have higher potential than him at least, and Aikon hadn't really trained much either.
Vegeta and Nappa are waiting for me by our Attack Balls, arms crossed. Both are grinning as I touch down.
"Not bad runt, you might actually be worth something after all!" Nappa laughs and slaps my back hard enough that I nearly topple over, but I manage to hold my ground.
"Is it just me or were you a bit less of a sniveling coward than usual? Seems your Saiyan Pride might have finally grown in, took long enough." Ah, right. Despite the differences in power and potential, Aikon was still a bit of a coward and opportunist like Raditz. His, our, pride still flared at Vegeta's words though. Only he'd hold his tongue despite that. Right now I don't hold a candle to Nappa, let alone Vegeta, so I'll be doing the same for now. The only difference is that I'm actually gonna take steps to change that.
"It was a fun battle at the very least. Where to next, Prince Vegeta?" The Prince tosses me a scouter with a red lens. No idea why I hadn't been wearing it but whatever.
"Orders came in for all Saiyans to report back to our homeworld. I can't be bothered honestly so we're going to pretend we didn't hear the order." He makes his way to his pod while cracking his neck. "I haven't had my fill of battle yet so I say we head to the nearest target planet instead."
"Sounds good to me, Vegeta!" Nappa follows suit and climbs into his own pod. Without another word on the matter they both blasted off into space, leaving me completely free to weigh my options.
I'm not committing anymore genocide of course. I was only defending myself in this instance, and didn't really have a choice. I don't really have a problem ditching those two either since they're both a bag of dicks. I liked Vegeta well enough later in his life but that was a long way off, and I wasn't going to speed that transition up any while I was so much weaker than him.
No, I'll be going elsewhere to start training. I have two places in mind. Namek, and Yardrat. Namekians have amazing Ki Control, Piccolo being a prime example with his Makenkoseppo and Hellzone Grenade. I'd learn and improve a great deal by training under them. As a Saiyan I had an inherent talent for Ki Control, but Saiyans hardly ever refine it any further than that. I could potentially pick up some magic while I'm there too.
I don't know what I'd use it for beyond creating my own clothing like Piccolo but hey, it's Magic!
As for Yardrat, Spirit Control and the many techniques it would allow me should prove immensely useful. Forced Spirit Fission alone would've ended both the Cell and Buu Arc immediately, the Goku Black Arc too probably. Their Cloning technique would always guarantee me a sparring partner. Healing and Instant Transmission require no explanation. Not to mention Spirit Control made ones Ki efficiency skyrocket, along with their power.
I'll go to Namek first. As long as I don't make a mess of my first impression they should be open to teaching me. If not, I'll offer my aid in the future should they come under attack, which they will, as trade. Same for Yardrat honestly. Most Ki sensitive people like that can probably smell a lie a mile away so as long as I'm honest I should be fine.
For now I need to make my Attack Ball untraceable, then I'm off to Namek. Thankfully, Aikon was somewhat of a gearhead so I should be able to do it.
'I don't know how or why I'm here, but at least I won't be bored anymore.' I grin as I get a feel for this tiny body of mine. So much smaller, and yet impossibly stronger than my old one. Plus the tail was growing on me. I flicked it around behind me and chuckled. 'Those limitations that taunted me are gone now. I intend to make the most of this, the strong will become my prey. What fun~'
Crazed laughter filled the night sky…
End Chapter
~SPIRIT~
Power Levels
Aikon: 1,200-1,350(After Battle), 1,500(Spirit Javelin)
Saurian Spearmen: 800
Saurian Axeman: 1,100-1,250(Mouth Beam)
Nappa: 3,800
Vegeta: 10,000
Author's Note: WHOO! I hope you all like this nearly as much as I liked writing it.
I'll try to keep Power Levels up as long as I can. I should be able to handle it until after the Buu Saga at least. I feel Nappa should be about where I put him here, but Vegeta is a bit harder, hence the . He surpassed his father at a young age, but there's no telling if it happened before DB Minus. Not a big deal honestly.
Anyways, let me know what you think. Doesn't even have to be big, long reviews either(Though I would like those just as much). Even little ones to let me know you enjoyed it would do me wonders.
Until Next Time!~
