**idek anymore honestly.

I've seen many fics where MC's have Gojo's powers, especially in the Naruto and MHA sections. This made me nostalgic because of the first fanfic I ever wrote. It was on Wattpad and is actually the longest fic I've ever written to date. I guess depression can act as a weirdly good motivator.

Anyway, seeing all these fics made me decide that it was high time I rewrite my first-ever story.**

Break

Naruto wasn't sure just how he expected to die, but it certainly wasn't like this. As he sat in the dirty, shallow waters of his mindscape, he watches blankly as the seal on the gate in front of him dissolves.

He notices that the Kyuubi is speaking, likely taunting him, but he can't really hear what it's saying.

He can only sit there and wonder if this was truly how he was meant to die. Ever since he had found out what was stuck in his body, he had always figured it would be the cause of his death, whether it be directly at the hands, or chakra of the Kyuubi. Or someone, from within or without his home village, would kill him for the express reason that he was a Jinchuricki.

Guess he was right.

As the seal that acted as the only barrier between himself and the incarnation of hate burnt away, Naruto felt an odd sense of relief.

If he was dead, he couldn't feel the pain that had haunted his life for as long as he could remember. Perhaps he would even get to meet his parents. That would be nice.

Besides, there were definitely worse ways to go out. Jumping infront of the Chidori meant for Haku definitely served as a rather satisfactory ending to his life. At least he died while doing what he did best, protecting what he treasured.

Sure Haku might be devastated, but maybe his death would serve as motivation for Haku to break away from Zabuza and live his own life.

As Naruto watched, more than half of the tag turned to dust. This served to symbolize the crossing of a threshold as the gate began to swing open.

Naruto closed his eyes, preparing to give in the immense amounts of orange chakra heading his way. He knew, without a doubt in his mind, that he would not be able to fight against the power heading his way.

So you can imagine his shock when after almost a minute, he felt none of the chakra reach him. Cracking his eyes open, he saw that somehow, the gate that had formerly been nearly sealless and swinging open was now tightly shut, a spanking new seal plastered over the spot where the old seal had been. The Kyuubi was once more behind the cage, only now there were metal bands holding down all 4 of its limbs, as well as all 9 of its tails and its head. Along with the new restraints, Naruto noticed peripherally that he was also unable to hear the Kyuubi as it thrashed and seemingly howled from behind its cage.

Naruto never noticed the rapidly fading blonde man standing on the far side of the cage, laughing lightly at the look of confusion on his son's face.

Naruto would have likely wondered more about what was happening if not for the positively agonizing pain that lanced through the entirety of his skull, rendering him no more than a mass of writhing and screaming flesh on the ground.

He never noticed as his already blue eyes became even brighter, small blotches of white scattered all over his pupils, giving them a similar appearance to the sky.

He definitely didn't notice what was going on within him, specifically, in his chakra.

You see, the 4th Hokage, despite his good intentions, was not aware of the effects that sealing just the yang half of the Kyuubi would have on Naruto. You see, Naruto already had an abundance of yang chakra due to his Uzumaki genes, but in a normal situation, the equally abundant yin chakra he got from the Namikaze would have aided in balancing it out and the reaction that was occurring at the moment would have happened ages ago.

But, in an attempt to slightly lighten the already heavy load he was placing on his child, Minato Namikaze split the Kyuubi into two, yin and yang before sealing the yang half in his son and taking the yin half with him into the shingami. He had been under the impression that splitting its chakra would lighten the load placed on both Naruto, as he would have a lot less of the Kyuubi influencing him, and it would be easier for Minato to battle the beast for all eternity if it was slightly weakened.

His thoughts, however, were untrue. In his haste to keep his village from becoming past tense, he failed to realize that the splitting of the chakra into its yin and yang halves did nothing to actually reduce the raw power the beast possessed. It instead left Naruto with a version of the Kyuubi more prone to immense rage and anger and less likely to employ critical thinking, and left Minato to fight with a highly intelligent and rational version of the beast.

However, the most important effect that splitting the Kyuubi had was completely throwing off the balance of Naruto's chakra. Instead of having a balanced abundance of his yin and yang chakra, he was left with a ton of yin chakra and an absolutely preposterous amount of yang chakra in his body. This caused Naruto's chakra control to be shot straight to hell and heavily limited his mental faculties. It was however also the source of Naruto's genuinely never-ending physical stamina and overly hyperactive energy.

But, thankfully, one of the fail-safes Minato had left in the seal allowed for a fix to this colossal screwup. With the seal nearly about to decay, the piece of Minato's soul the original had left in the seal was released and was able to fix the issue quickly. This, however, took much more power than Minato had prepared for and, thus, he was unable to truly converse with his son before he was forced to return back to the original.

But with the reapplication and further strengthening of the seal, Minato had completely cut off the Kyuubi from Naruto, thus allowing for his chakra to return to its equilibrium. And with its return to equilibrium, Naruto's chakra quickly went through the evolution it should have years ago.

Naruto's chakra, while very well-balanced, was still SIGNIFICANTLY larger than could even be somewhat considered normal. Because of the extensive amounts of yin and yang chakra present in Naruto's body, his chakra was forced to go through a sort of evolution to adapt to this bounty.

This was the cause of the change that could be found in Naruto's eyes, as they changed in order to aid Naruto in his understanding of his new chakra. Along with the change in his eyes, every single bit of hair on his body bleached to a stark white and his skin paled a noticeable amount.

But this all went unnoticed by Naruto as, if you remember, he's still experiencing an unholy amount of pain.

Break

Zabuza Momochi lay on the bridge, the injuries incurred from his fight with Kakshi and his subsequent battle against the 200 mercenaries Gato had under his employ becoming too much for his body to endure.

As he lay there, succumbing to his wounds, he could do little more than stare up at the tearful eyes of Haku and the vacant ones of Kakashi hovering above him.

Then suddenly there was one more face. Seeming to materialize mere inches from his face, the visage of a drastically different Naruto Uzumaki stared wide-eyed at him.

Zabuza was sure he nearly died from shock at that moment. The uncomfortably bright blue eyes that stared down at him seemed inhuman, but in the way, an angel or a god might seem so. They seemed to see things that he would barely be able to grasp and showed a depth of power that Zabuza was unable to fully fathom.

"So, despite what I did, you ended up getting yourself killed anyway, huh?"

The nonchalant voice cut through the dead silent bridge like a hot knife through butter. Every single living soul on the bridge, sans Sasuke who was still incapacitated, could only stare dumbfoundedly at the boy whom they had all thought dead as he stood up from his place crouched above Zabuza.

The differences were immediately noticeable. He wasn't much taller than he had been just moments ago, standing just below 2 inches taller than he was. This was, however, the last thing to cross their minds as they were mostly focused on the fact that every hair on Naruto's body, down to his eyelashes, was now a stark white. The only reason they were still sure this person was even Naruto was because of the everpresent whiskers on his cheeks, which now stood out just a bit more against his pale skin.

Zabuza was the first to recover from his shock as death wasn't a very patient mistress.

He chuckled at the boy's words, coughing up a bit of blood onto his chin.

"Yeah, I guess so. In the end, even with the disadvantage of having a suicidal squad member, you all ended up winning."

Naruto had the decency to look just a tiny bit bashful at the comment as everyone slowly recovered from their shock.

"Say, kid, mind doing me a favor? Think of it as a dying man's last pathetic wish."

Zabuza would have usually never uttered words like this, even under the threat of excruciating death. But, with the favor he was going to ask of Naruto, he was willing to lower himself to whatever depths were required.

Naruto simply stared at him, not deigning to respond. Zabuza took the lack of response as a sign to continue.

"Can you help me take care of Haku? He was never actually registered as a ninja of Kiri and they don't even know he is the one who has been accompanying me. I'm almost certain that, due to his bloodline, he will be accepted into your village relatively quickly. I know you have no real reason to listen to what I'm asking, but if you were willing to die for Haku, I can only hope you will help him live as well."

The bridge was completely silent. Even the citizens of Wave who had arrived in time to watch Zabuza butcher Gato's men, spectating silently as the man who had once worked for their greatest evil, ask something of one of their heroes.

Naruto stood silently over the dying man, seemingly mulling over the words he had just heard.

Then he suddenly grinned.

"Do you even really have to ask?" He said simply.

Zabuza smiled at his words, a chuckle forcing even more blood out of his damaged lungs.

"I guess not. Despite how you look, you're still the same shitty brat you were before."

Haku, who had been watching the conversation silently, couldn't hold himself back anymore. With a cry of pure anguish he lunged forward and wrapped his arm around Zabuza, burying his face into the man's shoulder.

Zabuza winced a bit in pain at the force of Haku's hug before smiling.

"Hey, hey. Stop with the sappy shit. You know I don't roll with that. I thought I taught you better than to display your emotions so openly."

Despite the seeming harshness, Zabuza's words were soft as he placed an arm around his crying apprentice.

"B-but, I don't want you to die, Zabuza! You're my everything! I couldn't possibly live without you." Haku sobbed

Zaubuza's eyes softened even more.

"You'll do just fine, my dear. I'm sure the brat will take care of you when I'm gone. Just promise me one thing, alright? Promise me you'll love how you want, don't do what you think I'd want you to or what anyone else would. Live as you please and enjoy life to its fullest extent. I've done all I could for you, so it's time for you to experience the world."

Haku tears increased with intensity as he held his teacher to him even tighter.

"Yes, Zabuza. I promise. I promise I'll live. I'll live, and I'll make you proud of me." Haku replied

Zabuza laughed out loud at his words.

"Idiot. That's the exact opposite of what I asked you to do."

These words would be Zabuza's last as his body could no longer take the damage it had received and gave out.

The missing nin's eyes slowed, his breathing stopped, and his heart ceased beating.

Zabuza Momoichi, The Demon of the Hidden Mist, died on the bridge, a content smile etched permanently upon his face.

"Sleep tight, ya' geezer." Naruto said quietly.

All the people on the bridge stood silently in respect for the dead ninja, the only sound being the cries of the one he left behind.
