The storyline starts six months after the prior one ended, with life on Earth having turned relatively back to normal. The addition of the aliens was noticed, and there were some ignorant people protesting their presence, but Bulma's company owned the island they lived on, and most of those who were shouting the loudest found their voices drowned out by the people who were more than eager to welcome visitors and guests to their small world.

Beyond that, Gero's research has continued apace, and with the help of Bulma, and two familiar looking people, Lapis and Lazuli, the human forms of Androids 17 and 18, he has just finished his work on a machine that simulates Captain Ginyu's ability. Using it they restore 13 to his original body, as well as Ginyu himself, who can scarcely believe he's been unconscious for half a year. With the ki blocker on, he's dumped on the island along with the saiyans and his own comrades, finding some had adapted well to 'retirement',

The storyline then reveals that Gero has a plan now. He'd already considered it, but now that he has a way to transfer 'souls' into fully mechanical bodies, he asks the pair of youths helping him, as well as his own son to help him with a grand ideal. Goku agrees as well when the Doctor asks, and the five of them depart to a secluded lab hidden somewhere, with the other left to train amongst themselves as they disappear into the wilds.

It is during these episodes that, when gazing into the sky, a red star can be seen, focused on in a shot or two, and a few months after Goku and the rest had departed, that star let out a flash, and Kami suddenly cried out from the Lookout, and was then silenced, causing Nail, 10, and the three human warriors to fly up to investigate, discovering that Garlic Jr. had returned from the Dead Zone.

At this point, the D-Class is exposed to the Dead Zone film, and it is discovered that, as anticipated, it has also been altered in significant ways. First and foremost, with no Piccolo to assault, the first we learn about Garlic Jr is his attack on the Son family out for a day outside the city, striking down ChiChi who was able to get a few hits off on the minions of the villain, but proved incapable of defeating them, as they took Gohan's hat, leaving the boy behind in this iteration, as all they wanted was the Dragon Ball.

Still, knowing that someone had assaulted his family AND was gathering the Dragon Balls was enough for Goku, who got them safely to West City, before he, 10, and Krillin set off to the fortress of the villain, revealed to be Garlic Jr. The small tyrant, when questioned, reveals he has already utilized the power of the Dragon Balls, wishing immortality for himself, and mocking the fools before him, as he and his men are of the Makyan race, superior to all the pitiful people on this planet.

What follows is the expected brawl between the Dragon Team and the three henchmen of Garlic Jr, with the expected victory for the three heroes after fights that vary only slightly from the original. However, during this time, Kami and Piccolo both reveal themselves, with Kami giving the backstory for the little gremlin like man to his other half, and Piccolo fighting him, showing that he is, in fact, quite a bit stronger than he was in the original movie, able to fight evenly with Garlic Jr. even after the smaller one turns into his 'buff' form.

Still, the lord of this castle, seeing his minions beaten, and his own will defied, laughs. He is an unending creature now, and the wounds Piccolo inflicted on his body heal before their eyes, with Garlic Jr mocking them for thinking he could die now that he had become immortal. Piccolo throws back that, immortal or not, they were strong enough to put him down, and keep him there long enough to seal him with any one of a number of techniques.

Garlic Jr, seeing the point, decides to pull out his trump card, the titular Dead Zone, a pocket dimension that functions like a black hole, sucking in all the things around it, including the debris from the destroyed castle, and, despite her best efforts to escape, 10. The pair before him, knowing her personally, are furious with the gremlin, and attempt to force him backwards into his own sealed dimension, but he proves immovable, nearly tossing Goku instead, until an unexpected pair arrives to help.

11 and 12 are on the scene, with 11 quickly grabbing Krillin and 12 using his power to generate a cage around Garlic Jr, they get to work getting 10 out of the hole in the sky. Garlic Jr, in a rage, breaks free of his cage and takes to the sky and with that, the warriors are finally able to push him into his own trap, even as 12 uses the limb growing technique to extend a literal hand to 10. With Krillin and 11's help, the three are able to rescue her, just as Garlic Jr falls into his own prison dimension.

The coda reveals that 10 had contacted her brothers with a built-in communicator, and she was just glad it worked across dimensions, making her wonder if that would ever be something they would use, a call forward to that being used in the first arc of Dragon Ball Z. The final shot is a 'shard' of the Dead Zone vortex, resting on the bottom of the ocean, an emaciated Garlic Jr pounding on it from the inside, obviously demanding or begging to be set free.

Returning to the series proper, Garlic Jr reveals himself to his opponents, wondering where Goku and the other two androids are, as he sees Krillin and 10 from his first battle with the group. They're not here right now, but 10 affirms that she doesn't see them being needed, as Garlic Jr smirks, and pulls out a small bottle from behind his back, containing a tiny Kami, who tells the others to watch out.

Leaping backwards, they are attacked by three new minions of Garlic Jr, who seem significantly stronger than the first, given they'd not only surprised the group, but had even managed to injure Nail, who used Namekian regeneration to heal a large cut on his arm. Garlic Jr expounds that his new minions were the equal to any warrior on this pathetic planet, especially with the Makyo star so close at hand.

The confused team asked what he was talking about, and he pointed to a red star, visible in the daylight sky, which he said hailed from the same realm as he and his minions. It had been sealed long ago, and thus had been in the Dead Zone as if waiting for him. Drawing on its power, he had forced the door to swing wide for him, and empowered not only himself, but sculpted these new Makyans from its energies. Now, they would claim the Earth once and for all, and everyone would tremble before them.

A fight ensues between the minions, of which there were only three, and the opponents, with Nail and Tien taking one, Yamcha and Krillin another, and 10 soloing hers. The fights with them are protracted affairs with long bouts of simply talking to fill airtime, as befitting a 'filler arc', as this was. Filler Arcs in an anime are done to allow the source material to create more content to be turned into episodes, and thus has to drag out simple stories.

Still, when the minions are bested, Kami rescued by Yamcha who had faked a fatal injury so Garlic Jr would walk right up to his 'corpse' and he could claim the jar and free the Namekian, the fighters face down Garlic Jr. The gremlin resumes his 'muscular' state, and demands they bow to him, showing off his power, as the Makyo Star begins to beam down an eerie light onto the world, and people stare up into it, first in fear, then enthralled by the power of dark magic that fuels the sinister sun.

Krillin is, interestingly, the one to land a blow severe enough that Garlic Jr, recovering from being cut in half by a razor sharp disk made of ki, declares he'll destroy everyone on this planet, and again opens the Dead Zone behind him, this time increasing the force of its pull, while shielding himself from it, laughing at how this group will find itself lost in the hellish dimension, while he reigns supreme over all the Earth.

Kami, however, claims to have had enough, and, with a shout, does some spell that shoots a ray of light into the sky, claiming that the Makyo Star had a barrier around it, but Garlic Jr's foolishness had drawn enough power from the dark mass that it was weakened, and he, as the Guardian of Earth, would deal with it. The light strikes the star, which seems to scream in agony, as the pillar tears into it, tendrils of dark flames rising, trying to push it away.

Then, all at once, it implodes, the dark power drawn into the light, and then completely destroyed. For Garlic Jr, this is bad, as he finds the shield was using against the Dead Zone fades, and with a hit from Tien, telling him to not come back, he's tossed into the hole, and once more, it shatters, leaving the defenders of Earth laughing in relief, as the people of the world, ignorant of all this, move on with their lives.

The filler arc done with the main plot resumes with the announcement that it has been one and a half years since the Namekians made their home on Earth. We learn, via diegetic questions being asked by Krillin, that the Dragon Balls the Namekians brought are the only ones they can make, as making one ties the set into the planet they were made on. So, while they still have Namek's own, despite its destruction, they can't make a new one since Earth already has a set as well.

The explanation is that it's how the Dragon Balls are usable after one year has passed each time they are used, as they are tied to their birth worlds. Thus Namek, with its four month and some change year cycle saw its Dragon Balls become usable quicker than Earth's. Not that they let anyone use them, given Moori had forbidden it, as the Dragon Balls were not to be used for personal gain, and were only for dire situations, or to open up the path to enlightenment for those worthy.

Krillin was bummed out to hear that, especially since Kami had said likewise, and had them gather the balls when they became active last time, hiding them somewhere in the Lookout. Still, he was distracted as the reason for everyone gathering at the colony was revealed, Dr. Gero, along with his android children and Goku arrived, exiting the ship and revealing as they did that there were three new Androids, 16, 17, and 18, to introduce to everyone.

The first, a familiar sight, but with a new vigor to it, was Gedo. His body was obviously artificial, as no one could sense him, but strangely, he felt…organic too. He was quite pleased with that pronouncement from the Dragon Team, taking off one of his arms and revealing that beneath the skin he was indeed metallic in nature, with control over the pieces of his body that had been removed, demonstrated as he caused his arm to fly about, before it reattached to his form.

The other two, introducing themselves as Androids 17 and 18, claimed to be Dr. Gero's assistants, which Gero himself was quick to point out they were layabouts, whose parents had been a great help when he'd been a member of the Red Ribbon Army. These two had their uses, however, and soon showed off that they too were androids, with the blonde female of the pair reminding Gero that the engines in their bodies were of HER design, even if it was based on some of his research.

She and Bulma were soon chatting about the ki engine, or rather, thanks to her, the Infinity Engine Mark Is, that were inside her brother, herself, and Android 16, formally Gedo. She had been the one to figure out the main design, though as she noted, their bodies, less mechanical and more biomechanical, were all Dr. Gero. Apparently, studying the artificial lifeforms known as Saibamen along with Namekian physiology, he'd been given the idea, and she revealed that her body was 'fully functional' in a biological sense, despite being a metallic base.

Dr. Gero announced that THIS was his grand achievement, and with Bulma and Capsule Corps' help, he wanted to share it with everyone who wanted it. An immortal, super strong body, that didn't need to eat, sleep, or even breathe since the form, using scans of Frieza and others, could run solely off the ki engine itself. He called it a new era in living, and was excited to speak of all the things that would come from it.

And he wasn't wrong. The scene, shifting ahead six months, shows that more than a tenth of the world's population had apparently taken the plunge and become androids, or rather 'enhanced humans' who could fly, generate elements and objects with a thought, and move literal mountains. The rest were in awe of that power, and many were frightened by the feats, comparing them to King Piccolo, which Gero scoffed at, as they had long ago surpassed the 'demon lord'.

Interestingly, they found that Namekians who had been given android bodies didn't lose their magic exactly, though that power that generated Dragon Balls was no longer active, meaning that when Elder Moori took on a body of that make, the large Namekian spheres turned to stone, reviving only when he was put back into his original form, which he noted was a shame, but a sacrifice he was willing to make so their power would be available, it it were necessary.

The 'Dragon Clan' sages, Namekians capable of creating the Dragon Balls, offered to remain themselves, given that particular magic would leave them even if the bodies were exact copies. For the rest, including the Warrior Clan Namekians, the android bodies became their norm, as they soon all switched to them. Their former bodies, discarded, were stored away for some later date. Perhaps a use could be found for them, but for now, the people of Earth and Namek were changed forever.

Over the following months, crime was less and less of a factor, as those with ill intentions found their bodies not quite up to the task of fighting Gero's creations that went to warriors and fighters. Not specifically because their bodies were stronger, though they were, but more generally because people like Yamcha and Krillin were simply better at combat, and with Nail and the Warrior Clan Namekians backing them up, they easily kept the peace as the android process proliferated.

One year after the android bodies were introduced, Almost three since Namek, and Earth was no longer the only planet with life, as the people spread out, creating and exploring the solar system around them freely. Until one day, when a familiar ship design was found floating at the edge of the system, and several of the 'Dragon Team' came out to confront it, shocked to see, emerging from within, cyborg aliens of familiar species, if not them personally.

They identified themselves as members of the Frieza Force, come to this system because they had detected the power within, and they were here to conquer it for their master, Lord Frieza. The Dragon Team, including not only Androids 10-18, but also Nail, Yamcha, Krillin, and Tien, were ready for a fight, with Krillin commenting that Goku, who was still in his fully biological body, was probably kicking himself for not being here with them, as the fight began.

Strangely, it was not the easy battle any of them had expected, as the cyborgs proved to be far stronger than 15's sensors said they should be. Not quite equal to the Androids bodies they were in, but still, quite strong. It didn't help that they pressed their numbers advantage, given there were only around twenty of the defenders of Earth, versus over one-hundred of Frieza's own men, who seemed far better coordinated as well, hitting with precise strikes at odd angles.

When the battle was over, the defenders looked over their foes, finding as they did that the technology in their bodies were similar, but not the same, as what was inside the original model Androids, the ones with little to no biological components. The Frieza Forces, unwilling to speak, were taken to Earth, where Nappa and Radtiz welcomed them to the prison island, their ki suppressing anklets having been long ago removed, while Vegeta fumed at the group.

A few days with the saiyans and Raditz revealed what he believed had occurred. Frieza had, as suspected, survived the destruction of Namek. For the first time, he had been beaten, but in that defeat, he had found inspiration. Apparently most of his forces had become augmented using technology they had reverse engineered from 10, 11, and 12 on Namek, finding it in many ways superior to their own.

Dr. Gero is obviously not amused by that assessment, ranting about how they were stealing HIS work, before being reminded by 10 herself that a lot of improvements, and in fact more than half the numbered Android bodies, were based on things they'd learned studying Frieza Force's tech. Even 17 and 18, who helped design the ki projection systems of their bodies which resulted in them being numbered, and also the Infinity Engine itself, had to admit some of what they did was based on scans of Frieza's personal flagship.

Dr. Gero is very annoyed now, but admits that much. However, that is set aside as they now have to do something about Frieza, who's going to notice that this patrol went missing, and send more than just a few random goons next time. The sheer fact that they had trouble with them means that if Frieza got serious, there was simply no way that the defenders of the Earth could win against him, even if all the Earth's citizens came together to help.

Goku, naturally miffed about missing out on a big fight, suggested going straight to the source and beating up Frieza, but was informed that, while Frieza had a 'Throne World' he was rarely there. Instead his father was there, having retired, and Frieza himself was on that big ship he'd shown off at Namek, zipping all about the Empire, making sure the subjects knew who held their leash.

That did bring up the idea of attacking Frieza's father, King Cold, but they nixed the idea. Cold was weaker than Frieza, by design, as their race was grown, not born, with each generation stronger than the one before. As such, he wouldn't be a major issue, and attacking him might actually embolden Frieza himself as he wouldn't have to deal with his father potentially interfering in his own decisions.

Raditz, surprisingly, is the one to suggest they attack one of the major manufacturing planets, given that the cyborg forces don't appear to be using the 'living metal' that the android bodies are made of. That means replacement parts just from wear and tear must be enormous, and cutting the supply of them should hamper the efforts of the Frieza Force in general across a greater area than attacking any single target.

Jeice adds that getting in contact with the 'Galactic Patrol' an organization that had stood against Frieza for a thousand years would be a good idea too. If they were still around was the only problem with that plan, as going over the logs of the ship they'd captured, it looked like most of the territory that had been the Patrol's was currently under Frieza's rule, with only a few small holdouts here and there.

Luckily, a quick look through the specs of the ship proved that, despite three years passing, the Frieza Force was still using their old engines, which meant that most of their forces took weeks or months to get between systems. The Capsule Corps made ships could do the same in a hundredth of the time, and that was on top of certain members of their group having learned the KaiKai in that same time.

Deploying their forces strategically was important, and so the Dragon Team took turns, with the Numbered Androids, Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, and Goku all drawing lots on where to strike first. Bulma, playing mission control, was the first to point out that their targets needed to keep attention away from their little blue planet, and to perhaps draw a few forces from their actual targets in later operations.

As such, she deployed them all to smaller listening outposts first, figuring a few soft hits would be good to gauge the overall power of the Frieza Force. She also had them install extra modules to allow them to 'hack' the database at each one, so they could get a grander view of the galaxy as it stood right now, and maybe seek out any allies they might have against their foes in the future.

The episodes then follow a structure where the viewer follows one team at a time per episode, with each team being two or three members, with the Numbered Androids, the former human warriors turned Androids, and even Raditz, Nappa, Jeice, and Recoome of the Ginyu force joining in. Each one is sent via KaiKai to their targets, and arrives in a similar location, a small crag on the outskirts.

Most teams invade their targets without issue, as the Frieza Force soldiers, even enhanced with Cyborg components, simply are not up to the task of facing these invaders. It helped that the 'listening posts' were not priority assignments for most people, meaning that for a lot of them the defenders were actually weaker than the average for the Frieza Force, allowing the episodes to instead serve as exposition dumps on various worlds and peoples in the universe.

First was that Frieza had discovered a world of 'Machine Mutants' made of a similar living metal to what Gero had developed, but subtly different. Bulma, on hearing about it, even compared it to the dreaded 'Grey Goo' scenario, and was for once, happy to hear that Frieza had destroyed the planet, blowing it up from orbit, killing General Rilldo and his forces at a stroke, and making the galaxy a safer place overall.

The second world we visited was a former Galactic Patrol base, with Jaco, a familiar face in the franchise, standing guard. We find out from this that Frieza was 'conscripting' those like them into the Force using the upgrades as leashes for them, given the average power level of most Patrolbeings was around one-thousand, while the augmented Frieza Force boasted ones almost a hundred times that as a base.

The former Galactic Patrolman is able to invite the group into his listening post after they blow a dish off it to silence it, with him informing them that, while the implants don't control people, Frieza can turn them off at any time if you displease him. 17 is at first dismissive of such a thing controlling someone, before learning that one of the replaced pieces is, in fact, one of his hearts, so it would be agony to have it turned off for even a few seconds, fatal after a couple of minutes.

Assuring him that they could, if not fix him, then give him a body that wouldn't be under Frieza's control, Jaco jumped at the chance, and began to list off worlds that had active resistance cells, pointing out he might not have been a 'great' Patrolman, but he was a 'smart' one, and had kept his ear to the ground. The data in hand, and possible allies out there, the group returned with him, after blowing his outpost to nothing.

The next few were much the same, offering small glimpses into the lives of the Frieza Force, some having been loyal to their Lord and Master of the Universe, until the moment he forced them to start bolting stuff onto themselves. Worse, he was probably even stronger than he had been when he was all flesh and blood, and somehow seemed to be able to be everywhere in the empire at once when he wanted to be.

They speculated that that might be him learning the KaiKai somehow, but that discussion was tabled as the team of Goku and 10 hit the listening post closest to the center of the Frieza Empire. They anticipated this would be the place with the most resistance against them, and that proved very much correct as Frieza's right hand, Dodoria, was waiting on the planet for them, smirking at the shake up to her routine.

Turned out her body wasn't exactly conducive to the cyborg implants, with half her face missing, and an ugly bit of scar tissue where her biology had rejected it. It still worked, but it caused pain and, as she said, marred her beauty forever, and she blamed the android woman for putting the idea in Lord Frieza's head for it. She'd even had to languish here, on some backwater rather than at court, because her Lord didn't like looking at her 'failure'.

The next few minutes were a battle like we hadn't seen yet, as Dodoria, who had a replaced arm, as well as an eye and part of their skull, proved that even if rejected, the implants boosted the power of the user significantly. Dodoria's original power level had been in the twenty-thousand range, which would have been an instant win for the pair who faced her now.

Instead Goku seemed to be struggling almost as much as he had against Frieza, blasting out ki shots that were smacked aside by the pink alien, and even with 10's help, he barely seemed to come up to her level from his base state, finally forcing the pair to scream Kaio-Ken, their powers shooting upwards, doubling them being enough that even Dodoria was undone by a single concentrated Kamehameha Wave attack.

Still, if it took that much effort to end a servant, they could only guess the near godlike heights Frieza himself had grown too, and the pair, with a shot destroying the listening post, returned to Earth, where Bulma and Dr. Gero were inside a command center-like building, correlating all the data they'd received from the groups, and from Jaco's own verbal reports after he'd been swapped to an android body.

The situation was better than it could have been, but worse than they feared, as the Galactic Patrol was gone, the leader, the 'Galactic King', slain at Frieza's own hand. Worse, it seemed like Frieza himself, who had undergone a full body makeover to a silvery form, was somehow able to be everywhere in the Empire at once, making them gravely afraid he had somehow copied the KaiKai without ever seeing it used.

Regardless, the fact was he could pop up at any time, any place, and that meant any strike had to account for that. The fact that his power level was several orders of magnitude higher than it had been on Namek, which they explained to Goku meant he was just adding zeros to the end constantly, was enough to say they couldn't beat him in a straight fight. Even Kami, hearing it, was afraid for the world he protected, and made an offer of ALL his tools and talents, including a special room on the Lookout.

This was the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, or Room of Spirit and Time, a warped space that was infinite on the inside, and where time moves faster, one year inside for one day outside. The place was literally built for helping a Guardian of Earth grow stronger, and Kami had made liberal use of it in his youth, and even now, but he had never mentioned it before as it was dangerous to throw the years of one's life away.

Dr. Gero and Bulma, however, were quick to point out that Android bodies didn't age, and better, they could crunch numbers in there three-hundred times faster than outside. Better, since the only limit on people going in was food, and only Goku and a few Namekians needed that, they could send in a huge group to train, though as noted, really they only needed four, as only Gero, Bulma, 10, and Goku would be useful, the rest could wait outside, and when they emerged, they'd draw up a battle plan.

It turned out that they didn't actually have that kind of time, as at the twenty-three hour mark of their entrance, a ship appeared in system, and made a directly line to the Earth, forcing its defenders to gather at the spot where it landed, the massive vessel, far larger than anything save Frieza's flagship itself, disgorged one-thousand cyborg soldiers, all under the command of a blue man with green hair, recognized as Zarbon, Frieza's direct henchman.

He complimented the Earthlings and others on having defeated Dodoria, commenting that she had been almost his equal, back when they'd been only flesh and bone, but now, with the advent of 'Upgrades' Zarbon had far outstriped her meager power. His body, as it turned out, looked mostly normal, but 15 informed the group that both his legs, and one of his arms was purely mechanical, the skin covering them fakes.

Commenting on 15 having, 'good eyes', Zarbon ordered his soldiers to claim them, and this world, for their Emperor, and the Zarbon Force began their attack. The Earth's defenders, the numbered androids, the human fighters, the Warrior Clan Namekians, and even Jeice, Recoome, and Nappa of all people, do battle with them, android vs cyborg. Luckily, despite the number advantage, it was soon clear the androids were superior in every way.

Unluckily, they had a massive number advantage, and even with ten to one forces, they were struggling against the sheer amount of their foes, as we got a massive melee, one that was eventually joined by others from Earth, including previously seen contestants of the World Martial Arts Tournament, which turned the tide for the defenders, eventually creating a pile of blown away bodies, and leaving Zarbon standing against them all.

He doesn't look the slightest bit bothered, however. He smirked, revealing that their estimation of his power was off by a digit, as he suddenly pounded his chest, assuming a 'monstrous' form, and then laughed as he engaged them all, almost literally plowing through the other force. Luckily, unlike his own people, they covered for each other, and even backed off when necessary, allowing them to engage him with no fatalities on their side.

Still, they kept him busy, swapping opponents, and using various techniques to keep him off balance, before suddenly, a feeling washed over the world, and Zarbon turned towards it, one of his eyes sparking, the scouter built into it telling him that something strong had just emerged. He demanded to know what this was, given he couldn't detect any of the androids with his scouter, but before anyone from the ragged group could answer him, a blast of air announced an arrival.

Goku had come to play. His gi was tattered and barely clinging to his body, but he looked fresh and ready to fight. Better, his hair was golden, but his face lacked the 'stoney' look of a Super Saiyan, with him mentioning that he'd mastered the form within the Time-Chamber, and was now fighting all out without any trouble, the blue alien man mocking him, since he was far stronger than the 'Super Saiyan' had been on Namek, and he invited him to give his best shot.

Accepting, Goku seemed to blur for a moment, before vanishing, and reappearing behind Zarbon, who stood there, twitching, his eyes wide in shock, as Goku, with a very dark smile, told him not to ever threaten his world or friends ever again. The alien didn't respond, instead falling over, and then exploding as his cyborg bits overloaded, Goku commenting on how easy that was.

10, Gero, Bulma, and an unknown rotund man in white makeup arrived a minute later, the former complaining that he hadn't waited for them to get here, so she hadn't been able to test out her new toys. This quickly led into the rest of the group asking what was going on, and Bulma introduced everyone to Android 19, a model that they'd come up with inside the Time-Chamber that had a unique function.

With a smirk, the android, who had a high pitched voice, revealed his palms, each of which sported a red dot in the center. His 'energy absorbers' were built to do just what it sounded like, allowing him to negate any Ki attack someone might make against him, or, in a melee, allowing him to drain his enemy directly with a touch. Holding them, he'd be able to constantly make their energy his own.

Dr. Gero then revealed that, at last, he'd taken the plunge into his own creations, and held up his palm, revealing the same red dots on them. He admitted that he'd spent some time thinking about it, and decided on this design specifically because it would allow him to operate at optimum at all times so long as he had an energy source handy, but for most models, he'd designed a module that he'd already installed in 10 that let her do something similar, if not so efficiently.

'Oh, so the monkeys are learning new tricks, are they? A good thing I've learned a few myself,' said a voice, and everyone looked up, shocked to see Frieza in his final form floating above them, descending down, and then standing before the assembled warriors, a grin on his face. His body looked much the same as it had on Namek, not even missing the arm and legs that it had been by the end of the fight with Goku, but it was impossible to miss the change in him.

Where before he'd had white skin with purple 'jewels' in it, now he was instead a shiny chrome over most of his body, with the jewels being sapphires instead. He chuckled, looking around the group, and 15 revealed he couldn't get a reading on him, as whatever he was using to power his body, it wasn't like anything he'd ever seen before. That only made Frieza throw back his head and laugh harder.

He revealed that his body was the result of inspiration from them, mixed with the 'superior' technology of a thousand worlds beyond it. He was perfection personified, and would show it off to them now. Aiming his hand down, he gathered energy into it, and for a moment, it looked like he was planning on simply blowing up the Earth in the same way he'd done to Namek, making everyone start to shout.

Then he shifted his fingers and instead fired several concentrated beams towards the unprepared defenders of the world, his grin growing as they stood, frozen, unable to do anything as this attack was so fast they literally looked like statues. But then 19 moved, and held up his hands, his palms suddenly glowing with their own light, one that drew the various beams towards him.

Frieza and the others watched in awe as the rotund man sucked in all the energy that Frieza had launched, and then, with grin of his own, he launched himself at the tyrant, slamming into him with enough force that, for just a moment, the alien was knocked from the sky, landing on the ground, and looking shocked at having been bested so easily by anyone, let alone some new model of android.

Rising, he dusted himself off, complimenting the Earthlings on their engineering skill, but then vanished with a woosh, reappearing right before 19, and proceeding to lay into him, his fists actually visible briefly through the android's body, before he was tossed down, parts of his skin broken to reveal the metal underneath. Everyone stared in horror at that, as Frieza finally let him down with a sigh.

He opines that he'd worked out his aggression now, and seeing the brilliance of the design for himself, he was willing to allow this Earth place a prominent position within his empire. All they had to do to spare their world was simply bow to him, and he'd ensure their peace, prosperity, and power. Looking around, his gaze swept over them all, and while some shook, none got down on their knees.

Then Goku did what Frieza had done, his body vanishing, appearing before the tyrant, and laying into him. And it was a brutal beat down, his fist leaving deep impressions of itself in the silver skin of the alien machine man. He even eventually started to knock pieces of him, his tail and one of his legs shattering under the rain of blows, before the saiyan finally relented, letting his opponent fall to the ground.

Frieza, battered, missing limbs, and actually having part of his face caved in, does the most odd thing now. He laughs, complimenting the saiyan's power and skills. The others think he's just posturing, perhaps about to offer them something for his life, but then they watched in awe as his silver skin seemed to melt, and quickly extend outwards, parts of himself regenerating, until finally, he stood back up and looked completely new once more.

Flexing his new limbs and even tapping his eye, he pointed out he wasn't kidding. The technology of this planet was different, to be fair, but it was nowhere near as advanced as what Frieza's Empire had achieved over the thousands of years it had existed. With a smirk, he then attacked Goku, this time the pair having to actually clash, as he showed off that his new repairs were, in fact, stronger than they had been.

When the two separate, Goku breathing hard, Frieza exposites that his body is made of a revolutionary material. It can grow, heal, and evolve as he uses it, allowing him to overcome any opponent as it adapts to any weakness in the form. Even the vaunted Super Saiyan cannot slay him now, and he will rule this galaxy, no, this universe, for all eternity. And he has the humans to thank for this, so he offers them a quick, and relatively painless death.

However, as he charges a blast to do just that, the androids below gather in front of Goku, and when Frieza fires a beam towards the Earth, they surge into Kaio-Ken, and with a cry, fire a hundred different ki blasts into the sky, their combined might first equalling, and then surpassing Frieza, the tyrant crying out in shock and surprise as the blast he fired is overcome, and the attacks from below rise up to meet him, vaporizing his form.

The gathered group, looking at the smoke rising from where Frieza had been floating, all shouted in delight, seeing that the tyrant was finally dead. The forces that had defected to Earth from his empire all express disbelief that it was that easy, only to then smile the broadest, speaking of freedom forever now. Goku with 10's help, rises to his feet, and he wonders if she's disappointed she didn't get to show off her new stuff, but she says they'll be time for that later.

Frieza's voice then says that she had best make time for that now, and in shock and horror, everyone whips around to see Frieza, or rather Friezas, floating in the air behind them. Three of him, all looking perfectly able to do battle, stare at the gathered forces, and comment that his body, as he said, can adapt to ANY weakness. That includes simply having only one such body, as the three, chuckle, and then vanish.

A melee ensues where the Friezas engage the Earth Defenders, and find that they were not, in fact, the only ones who could get better in mid fight, as this time, with knowledge of what they can do, transmitted by 15, the group fight better than before, hitting the Friezas from all angles, and using the power of Kaio-Ken to briefly match his powerful bodies, keeping him from getting any large hits off.

10, after hiding the still exhausted Goku behind a boulder, declares she's going to end this, and with a surge of Kaio-Ken herself, she shoots forward, and grabs two of the Frieza's by the neck, her body turning a violent shade of red as the aura for Kaio-Ken mixed with a second aura, this one looking like it was 'shriveling up the silver Frieza's like capri sun packs being drunk dry' according to the D-Class.

She then vaporized the two, and when the third demanded to know what she had done to his other selves, she claimed it was the energy draining technology her father had gifted her with, before punching her fist through the third Frieza's torso, tearing a large hole in it, and finally letting out a cry as she blasted ki out through her whole arm, blowing the last Frieza into nothing but junk and debris.

Everyone looks exhausted, despite the androids technically not being able to be. 15, thankfully, announces that his scanners have been adjusted, and he can now track the Friezas, Meta-Friezas as he dubs them, and finds that all four of these didn't teleport to Earth, but instead can move at FTL speeds, arriving from wherever it is they're being manufactured, which he thinks he can trace.

Luck is on their side, as, thanks to their defeat of four of him, Frieza, in silhouette, orders his forces to hold off attacking again. He had hoped to take out the Earth in one day, but seeing them this strong? He will have to prepare, and claims that he will be producing an army of himself to get this job done. Around him, machinery roars as it kicks into overdrive, and we are treated to a view of a manufacturing line, churning out Meta-Friezas by the dozen, while the primary one laughs.

On Earth, Dr. Gero is impressed with the power in Meta-Frieza's body, studying the scans that 15 took of them, along with data from others, and claims that he could reverse engineer it within a few months, which is why he feels he should simply return to the Time Chamber to get it done, and improve their odds, but given they simply have no idea of when Frieza will attack next, that suggestion is put down as a backup.

No, they have momentum on their side, and with the help of every scrap of data processing going over 15's scans, and the various Listening Posts they have, the group is soon in possession of the origin of the Meta-Friezas…and it's Namek. Like, it's the location that Namek used to hang in the heavens, and knowing that, the Namekian warriors are angered, claiming they wish to go right on the assault.

Seeing them so furious, the others quickly agree, and after 10's current upgrades are distributed to the ten most skilled amongst them, as well as the rest, they teleport to Namek, Goku coming along with a belt that will let him, if briefly, breathe in space. Arriving in the system, Goku, with his biological eyes, sees nothing in the spot Namek once was, and even he comments on how there should be, like, an asteroid field or something where it was.

The others reveal that it was likely used up, as they point towards the three suns of the Namekian system, and while he can't see it, every android in the group can. A world of metal hangs between them, streams of stellar mass being drawn into the thing via some unknown mechanism, and 15's sensors can tell it's being used to fuel and convert the material inside the structure, which Bulma now discovers is called Frieza Planet T-1000 in the database of worlds.

The group shoot off, and within moments, are engaged with Frieza's forces, the cyborgs, as well as Meta-Friezas mixed in, the tyrant slaying more of his own men than the attackers were, as it turns out he cares little for them. With that in mind, the Frieza Forces, on being offered to join the attackers, almost universally agree unlike the earlier Zarbon Force, who'd been made the same offer and rejected it.

Frieza, being angered by this, still finds that his Meta-Friezas are being outmatched, even as he pumped them out faster, straining the facilities of the 'Big Gete Star', which was the name of this. From some of the Frieza Force…well former Frieza Force personnel, it is quickly learned that this facility is actually stolen tech, much like their cyborg enhancements, having been reverse engineered from the 'Machine Mutants' mentioned earlier.

Regardless of its origins, they are informed that in the depths of the planet sized fortress, Frieza is hooked up to the systems, the original, biological Frieza, who is commanding all this with his connections to it. Hearing that, the Earth Forces now have a central target, and with a shout, Goku, still maintaining his Super Saiyan form, suddenly flashes into Kaio-Ken as well, the gold aura tinting with red as he blasts a shot directly into the planet, with everyone flying inside the wound, to confront the heart of this monster.

Frieza, desperate or so it seems, sends an entire army of his Meta selves to confront the incoming attackers, but the other engage with the copies, insisting that 10 and Goku go on and take this guy down, which they do with gusto, breaking through all his defenses to arrive in the central chamber of the Big Gete Star, where Frieza sits on a throne, with one red eye staring at them in the darkness.

Before they can engage him, cords shoot out of the wall, some simply grabbing 10 and holding her against the thing, while others dig themselves into Goku's skin, causing him to scream out in pain as he's suddenly hanging by the inserts, which hold his limbs out in uncomfortable ways, and lines of electricity move down them into his body, forcing him to scream even louder as his body is struck again and again by the attack.

Finally, with a dark laugh, Frieza claims that, with this latest technological innovation, he'll be unstoppable, as his enemy's power becomes his, and with a dramatic camera shot, we watch as Goku's 'aura' is drained into the cords holding him, the golden light moving out into them, and filling the Big Gete Star, turning the surface into the same gold, as well as all the Meta-Friezas, who are suddenly far stronger than they had been before.

Frieza, in a bit of a sadistic moment, brings up screens to show the friends of the two in front of him being decimated by his own forces, laughing as they struggle to break their bonds. His gloating, finally touching a nerve as 16 is beaten, his face material peeling off from a blast from one of the Metas, leaving him looking like a Terminator for a moment, before he's smashed into a wall.

Screaming, 10 starts to resist harder, overclocking her core, and finally breaks the cords holding her with a sharp cry of Kaio-Ken Times Twenty, her aura exploding out from her, and giving her just enough power to come at Frieza himself, who is forced to hold up his hand, summoning more and more of the cables from the walls and ceiling, the material straining even as it start to cocoon around her.

Then another shout, this one from Goku, who, rather than Kaio-Ken, seems to reach something deeper inside himself, and Frieza, unable to split his focus between the two of them right now, watches in horror as Goku's body becomes different, his hair changing shape, and suddenly, instead of lightning flowing into him, it flows outward, the bolts, pure blue racing up the cords, and causing the whole of the world, all of the Big Gete Star, to start shaking.

Frieza demands to know what's going on, and a voice from the walls, the voice of the Big Gete Star's main computer it turns out, tells him that the power flow is too sharp, its frequency changed, and the processing of it is overloading the systems of the fortress. As if to show this, the screens showing the other fighters show the Meta Frieza's suddenly seizing up, twitching, and then exploding into debris.

Worse for the tyrant, the cords holding 10 break at last, releasing her from the cocoon as she screams out that words, Kaio-Ken Times One-Hundred, her aura literally exploding out of her with enough force that it shakes the planet again, even as Frieza demands fusion power, robotic limbs slamming home into his legs and the missing arm, giving him a completed body that he uses to try and face 10 as she charges him.

The 'fight' is non-existent, as Frieza shoots a single blast towards 10, who brings her hands together, aiming all ten fingers at him, and their ends opening up, similar to how she first used her ki blast. She then fired the 'Light of Perfection' as she dubbed the attack, and the blast not only blew away Frieza's attack, but the tyrant, in a shot parallel to his defeat on Namek in the original narrative, is consumed in the same shot, which then blows the Big Gete Star in half as it rips through the fortress world.

10, drained, uses her internal communicator to order everyone to KaiKai out of this place, with her grabbing Goku and doing the same, arriving at Earth, with the view then showing outside the Big Gete Star. For a moment, it crackles with lightning, but then seems to quiet, and Frieza, his body all but destroyed, missing half his face now, but still alive, crawls his way out of the rubble, promising to return even stronger, only for the Big Gete's control program to inform him the stellar pumps are still online, but the processes for the material are not.

With a scream of frustration, fear, and simple anger, Frieza meets his end as the three stars of the Namekian system suddenly reach out seemingly towards the station, like the wrath of a vengeful god. Spikes of starlight burn into the Big Gete Star, and within seconds, the whole of it is completely obliterated, taking Frieza down with it once and for all, and leaving the universe a much better place for the tyrant's final fall.

The group arriving on Earth, takes stock of themselves, including the rescued cyborgs of the former Frieza Force, and a wrap up episode seems to close out the running plots, revealing King Cold had died when Frieza did away with him, just in case, and so the Earth Force, now renamed the Chrome Guardians, begin to spread throughout the galaxy, and later the universe, bringing peace and prosperity wherever they go, with the final title seemingly ending the series, though a 'next-time' reveals that yes, the series will continue, with a promise of far greater foes yet to come.
