Wow we are here, this is a lenghty chapter so brace yourselves. Enjoy the chapter!

The 4th Great Ninja War is over thanks to Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi bringing down Kaguya. Sasuke finally conquered his darkness thanks to Naruto's will and turned himself in to the Leaf police. He was thoroughly interrogated and mandated by the Leaf before eventually being set free.

" Isn't that Sasuke?" Sakura pointed. Her face was more red when she was around Naruto.

"Your right! Sasuke! We were just on our way to see you! Kakashi Sensei told me you'd be released today!"

Naruto rushed over to Sasuke, waving and grinning as he usually did in the past. Sakura hung back a little.

"To be honest, I didn't think I'd be let off so easily and it's all thanks to you, Naruto."

Ah come on, it wasn't all me. At the end of the day, you helped undo the Infinite Tsukuyomi. It wasn't just me, Kakashi Sensei helped too ya know."

"Kakashi... the 6th Hokage."

"Feel's weird right?" Naruto chuckled

"Naruto, you have my thanks. I don't know what it was, the hope, the pain from my mother, father, and brother but whatever it was, it helped me understand your pain and hopes as well, Naruto. You never abandoned me no matter what and you didn't give up on me, coming closer when I moved away. You pulled me from my darkness, Naruto."

"Man, you've been real chatty today. Sasuke, of course, I did, I'm your friend ya know."

"I wouldn't have been surprised if you hated me. But instead, I got your forgiveness and kindness."

Sakura slowly approached

"I'm sorry, Sakura, for putting you through all that. You and Naruto helped save me from my darkness. I'm sorry for everything, I doubt it was easy for the both of you."

Tears started growing in her eyes "Baka, you went through your hardships too. We're just glad that you're back Sasuke."

Sasuke gave a smile. It seemed sad almost. "I'll be leaving the village Naruto. I need to atone for my sins and therefore, I need to see the world differently.

Naruto nodded in agreement.

Before Sasuke left, Naruto went to him and gave him his old headband which he had lost during their first battle at the Valley of the End. Before he knew it, Sasuke was off.

"Naruto, you got a minute?" Sakura asked

"Uh yeah, sure." Naruto replied

Sakura and Naruto went to the seaside where they'd start talking.

"Remember during the war, how your dad asked if I was your girlfriend?" Sakura questioned

"Yeah, and I said yes and you headbutted me." Naruto chuckled

"Well, this time I mean it. I realized when we confronted Sasuke on the bridge, who you really were Naruto. During the war, I couldn't afford to lose you when the Nine-Tails were extracted from you. So this time I mean it."

"Naruto, I love you!" Sakura said

Naruto was in outer shock, the last time she said that was an attempt to deceive him but this time was different, he could sense that she really meant it.

Naruto pulled Sakura closer to him and embraced her, putting his arms around her waist. Naruto started to tear up. "I always have and I always meant it, Sakura, I-im so happy right now. I'd never thought the day would come when you would return my feelings."

Sakura started to cry. "Sorry, I didn't realize sooner."

And from that moment, they shared their first kiss.

Time Skip

The 4th Great Ninja War is over with memories of Naruto fooling around in his old classroom with Kakashi, the 6th Hokage, his old teacher Iruka, and former classmate Shikamaru holding books.

"Whaat? I have to study?"

Naruto tried to go out the window as he did many times with Shikamaru and Choji.

"I don't think I have to remind you this, but your skills as a shinobi are second to none. However, being strong isn't the only thing a shinobi needs. You need to understand how to stand before others and lead them." Kakashi explained

Naruto stopped in his tracks. He knew Kakashi was right. Although Kakashi did promote him to jonin, he knew he had to study to become the next Hokage.

That's what he told himself but Naruto's brain was drained after a long class with Iruka. They'd been studying all day.

"That's it for today, Naruto. Please try to review chapter 28 for tomorrow." Iruka said as he rushed out of the classroom. He knew Naruto would throw a fit so he hurried out as fast as he could.

"This sucks" Naruto mumbled "It feels like it's never-ending."

"I came to check how you're studying and It looks like I already have my answer" Sakura chuckled

"Sakura!" Naruto sat upright to see Sakura who looked extremely nice. She wore a red dress with a diagonal line on her shoulder with a black band on her waist. She wore her Leaf headband on top of her head(her "the last "outfit).

The evening light shone on both of them. Sakura moved closer, Naruto could tell she just came back from a mission and instead of going home, she visited him. Naruto's eyes gazed upon Sakura's beauty. It felt like time had frozen and a comfortable silence settled between the two of them.

"Naruto, you are unusably quiet. Are you okay?" Sakura whispered

She walked over to where he sat and put her hand on his head.

"It doesn't seem like you have a fever."

Naruto took her hand off his head and held it between his hands.

"Sakura, you look reaaalllly pretty today," Naruto commented sincerely

She was taken by surprise, but then again Naruto had always been truthful about his feelings, even more so now that they were dating. Would she ever get used to this sensational feeling?

The tingly feeling of Naruto's gaze focused on her or when he was so generous with his nice compliments.

"T-thanks. I was hoping we could go out for dinner."

Naruto grinned"I wish, but ah Iruka-Sensei gave me a lot of homework and I'm already struggling as it is." His grin faltered. He didn't want Sakura to leave yet

As if she could read his mind she said; "Well, why don't I help you study, that way you finish your work and we get to have dinner." Sakura suggested.

Naruto's face brightened up. "I'd like that!"

They sat where they used to sit back in their academy days and delved into their studies together. A few hours go by and the 2 finally finished studying.

"Sakura, you're a really good teacher ya know." Naruto complemented.

"It's no biggy. You listened so well that we got it done quickly." Sakura replied

They sat back. They had finished up faster than they expected.

"This classroom brings back so many memories doesn't it." Sakura reminisced. "You were always up to trouble every day. Remember the time you tried to put an eraser on the door as a prank on Kakashi Sensei because he was late?"

"Maan, I was so uncool back then." Naruto mumbled.

"That's true." Sakura giggled

"You weren't supposed to agree with that Sakura." Naruto bent his head in despair.

"You were always loud, too."

"Don't remind me. I was really a brat back then."

"It wasn't all that bad silly. I think that's the part of you that connected everyone in the village. It helped you get Sasuke back village when he needed you the most. Your energy really grows on others, hell, even I couldn't resist falling for you, Naruto."

Sakura smiled, her cheeks flushed as Naruto caught his breath.

"Then I'm glad I was like that then!" Naruto pulled Sakura into an embrace and Sakura happily went through with it. Then they leaned in, their lips gently touching each other and they started kissing as the sun went down.

The two closed up the classroom and went out for a bit. The night had just begun and Naruto and Sakura decided to have ichiraku ramen.

"Sakura, I'm sorry we're not able to spend as much time together as we want and that's mainly the fact that I'm trainings to be the next Hokage." Naruto exclaimed as the ate.

"It's okay, I understand that we're both busy in our own way. You've always had that goal of becoming Hokage and Kakashi-Sensei doesn't mind giving up the spot when you're ready. It takes hard work and I completely support your goal, Naruto!" Sakura replied

"I just wish that we had our own home, together so whenever I'm done or your done we can see each other. It just feels so lonely without you, Sakura." Naruto said

There was a deep, uncomfortable silence between the two of them.

"Ah, just kiddin ya kno." Before Naruto could finish his sentence Sakura said "Let's do it."

That shook Naruto and he didn't expect this response from Sakura.

"That mean's you'd be my wife."

Sakura nodded.

"and I'd be your husband."

Sakura nodded again.

"And we share meals together and be home to greet each other."

"Are you trying to talk me out of agreement?" Sakura chuckled.

"This just feels surreal, like when I wake up, it'll go away." Naruto nervously chuckled.

Sakura pinched Naruto's cheek. "Ow tah tah tah."

"See you're not dreaming. Sakura grinned mischievously. But how do I know I'm not dreaming?"

Sakura closed her eyes, expecting to feel pain but instead, Naruto kissed her on her forehead.

"See, your not dreaming either!" Naruto exclaimed with a grin on his face.

The two started discussing how they were going to tell everyone that they're engaged and soon the party became official.

A couple weeks go by and all of the shinobi that we're in Naruto and Sakura's class along with Tsunade , Kakashi, Shizune, and Gai went to the barbecue place.

"Hey Naruto, great idea you came up with; it's been so long since everyone's been together!" Kiba complemented

"Getting together is no easy task, I'll say, with the chunin exams and missions, everyone's been so busy." Ino chipped in

"Not to mention Kakashi-Sensei put in a lot of work just to free up our schedules." Shikamaru pointed out.

Kakashi looked exhausted: "Thanks to that, I had to sacrifice my sleep to move around schedules on top of my other work.

Tsuande laughed "Loosen up Kakashi, now you can drink all you want!"

"I have to report on duty tomorrow so I'd rather not."

Tsunade suddenly had a sly grin on her face. "Such an honourable Hokage, Grab him Shizune."

"Lady Tsunade, I don't think we should be doing this..."

"Huhh? Younger people should listen to their subordinates."

"Let's talk about this". Kakashi tried to argue back but he was already pinned to the floor by Shizune.

Tsuande forced some sake into Kakashi's mouth and he screamed "Iiiiieehhhh"

Naruto was waiting patiently for his girlfriend, now engaged fiance but Kiba asked him a question.

"Hey Naruto, it's rare to see you in the village without Sakura. What's going on?

Naruto was confused on what to say. He remembered his promise to Sakura on not to say anything to anyone till she got there.

"W-what do ya mean? I'm not always with her. Besides, you're always with Hinata in the village."

As soon as he finished, Sakura showed up at the shop.

Naruto jumped up like a kid on Christmas morning and asked Sakura if it was time to reveal it.

Sakura had just finished her shift at the hospital but she forgot how tired she was. She not only wanted to reveal that they we're engaged but she also wanted to reveal Naruto's birthday suprise.

She couldn't resit not telling her classmates and mentor's that they were engaged but she was most exited to tell Naruto that this wasn't just their engagement party, but Naruto's birthday party as well.

"Alright everyone, I know everyone has been wating patentily but me and Naruto are engaged!"

Everyone was silent for a second before congratulating the two.

"and the next thing. Everyone bring out the gifts that I'd told you. Naruto, Happy Birthday!" She cheered joyfully.

Naruto was shocked as everyone had brought gifts for him. As soon as he snapped back to reality, he hugged Sakura and started to cry. This was his first birthday without being reminded of his parent's passing away.

The group enjoyed the party till everyone was drained.

The day before their wedding, Naruto went to the graves of his master and his parents.

"Pervy Sage, I-i wish you we're here ya know. I'm sorry you saw the un-cool side of me." Naruto started to tear up

"Tomorrow, I-i'm going to get married and I wish you were here to see me glow up."

Naruto stayed at Jiraya's grave for a bit before bidding farewell and he went to the graves of Minato and Kushina.

"Mom, Dad I did it! I'm marrying a girl just like you, Mom."

Sakura was looking all over the village for Naruto till she saw him, in tears in front of his parent's grave. She went over and comforted Naruto telling him that they have each other.

The two got married and Naruto became Hokage.

Sorry for the long ass chapter. This is the final chapter of this book and I'm happy it's completed. I hope you all enjoyed every chapter of this thing as I enjoyed writing it. I was tempted to drop this but I decided to complete it so that way you as readers wouldn't be sad if I did. For my next story, I've already decided that I want to write an evil Naruto story similar to Sasuke's story in the main canon but different in a lot of ways. They'll probably be a SasuHina ship which I'll build up to and definitely a NaruSaku ship so don't worry about that. With that said, I hope you enjoyed Realization and I hope you all will read my next story when I officially post it on both Wattpad and FFN and hopefully AO3. If there's anywhere you feel I need to improve on, feel free to message me or DM me on Reddit (UndeadDemon1214). With that being said, I hope to see you all in the next story. Till next time-Undead
