Izuku stood beside Shota and Kan as the fifty students for the Hero course made their way into the enlarged classroom on the first day of the school year. He could already spot some that probably would not be in the school after today, like completely out not just moved to General Studies like the teachers usually did in previous years. He made mental notes on all the students as they found their seats and settled down. His friends had all sat down quite quickly knowing that Shota was a hardass as was Izuku, surprisingly when he was in teaching mode. Most of the other students rapidly caught on that they needed to settle and pay attention while a couple important acting students continued to draw attention to themselves.

Seeing that those students weren't going to take the hint to shut up and settle, Izuku picks up a wooden pointer and swings it down on a desk, snapping it into several pieces. Talking into the silence after the destruction of the pointer, "Sit your asses down and pay attention. We are your teachers Shota Aizawa, a.k.a. Underground Pro Hero Eraserhead, Kan Sekijiro, a.k.a. Pro Hero Vlad King and Izuku Midoriya. When it is time to start class you will be in your seats and ready to start the class, not talking or visiting with your friends. We are here to teach you how to be Heros and you are here to learn. Now that is taken care of in your desks is a set of UA gym uniforms made to your measurements. Go put them on and meet at the testing field that is out the door at the end of the hall past the locker rooms." Izuku barked at the students, trying not to lose it when Katsuki and Shoto made funny faces at him as he spoke.

As the students went to leave, Shota drawled out, "Bakugou. Himura. Fifty push ups when you get out there. You know why." to which the two boys just nodded even as they smirked.

Once in the locker rooms the students quickly changed into their uniforms as they were still slightly in shock at Izuku's gruff introduction. They started to come out of their shock as they trickled out the door to the testing field and started to gather to wait for the teachers. Soon the couple of self-important students started to lord over their classmates, one talking about how his father had survived the purge of the HSPC and was high up in the new QRA, which caused a certain group of students to roll their eyes. A couple others started in on the mutant quirked students, saying they were no better then monsters and needed to be put down to keep the rest of them safe. Most of the students didn't take too kindly to that and went to defend their fellow classmates when suddenly the two offenders were snatched into the air and yoinked to the side.

"Perhaps you would like to say that type of speech to Nezu, you know the quirked animal that runs this school. I'm sure he would love to hear how putting him or any other quirked being would be the best thing that could be done to protect us all. Oh not so talkative now are we gentlemen? Don't bother to try to figure out how to talk your way out of this, you're both expelled and most likely arrested for hate speech and fear mongering. You will never be Heros at this school or any other school once it is known we kicked you out of UA." Shota informed them as he looked down on them from where he perched on a tree branch. As the students tried to process what had happened several security bots appeared from the building and collected the two bigoted students. "Shit, the Rat must have been listening in to have the bots here so fast. Well they are dead, or will wish they were." the tired hero said as the bots wheeled away.

When a throat cleared to the front of the group, the students all jumped and spun to see Izuku and Kan standing there. "UA has a zero tolerance policy for quirkism, bullying or any kind of harassment. Period. Full stop. You will be out of this school so fast you will swear that you smell ozone from the speed." explained Kan as he passed his eyes over the group, demonstrating that while he wasn't the sadistic bastard that Aizawa was, he still wasn't a push over either. "We will be addressed as Mr. Aizawa, Mr. Kan and TA Midoriya.", the reminder that Izuku was teaching caused Katsuki and Shoto to suddenly drop and start their push-ups. "Starting this year the Heroics course is going to be taught in a new way, most notable being the fact that it is all one class instead of being split into two rival classes. That is because the QRA wants to promote a system of heros working together instead of against each other like in the past. No more competing with each other and more focus on what being a hero should be about, protecting the public."

Suddenly one of the previously self important piped up, "If we aren't competing with each other in public, won't that make determining the Hero Rankings harder to do? You know, make it harder to rise up and make more money?"

At this question Izuku stepped forward to answer. "Not really, because the Hero Rankings are gone. Heros will be paid on how well they do their job, not on a popularity contest. If people want to do the rankings themselves that's fine but it will no longer have any bearing on how heros are dealt with in the QRA. Now heros will still be able to have endorsement deals and other merchandising which will have to be cleared through the departments in the QRA, some of it to make sure the deals won't interfere with hero work or so the hero isn't taken advantage of. Also showboating for cameras and other types of activities like that, that could lead to people being injured or property damage to increase will be grounds to be fined or have your license revoked. The profession of Heroics is shifting from publicity to what it should have always been about, Protection." Izuku looked around at all the students after saying this, daring them to refute what he said.

"Yeah? That sounds like a bunch of bullshit. Who are you to decide how heros will act? You are just some kid with an intelligence quirk working as an assistant. You don't know a goddamn thing about how the QRA works or what is needed to be a hero. Piss off." yelled the other pompous student in a snarky tone.

By this time Katsuki and Shoto had finished their push-ups and after hearing what the last student said they looked at each other and subtly started backing the students who hadn't said anything away because Izuku's eyes had gone ice cold and they didn't want anyone else in the area of damage Izuku was about to unleash.

"Who am I? I am Izuku Midoriya, quirkless, genius, holder of five degrees, the man who at ten years old foiled my own kidnaping which can be verified by Mr Aizawa since he is the hero who was the first on the scene, at age eleven rescued one of your classmates from a corrupt hero and a quirkist police officer which lead to his adoption along with my sister's rescue and adoption by my stepfather, the Analyst online where I help people with their quirks which is what lead the HPSC to kidnap me and my friends and us taking down the HPSC while being rescued. After that I bought up all the shares of the HPSC when the investors had a fire sale to distance themselves from the dumpster fire the organization became. I am also the same person who then sold the defunct organization to greedy immoral investors when they tried to take control of the Hero profession. I say try because I stripped all the resources and money from the HPSC before I sold it back to them because I had decided that a new organization was needed, one that would regulate the Hero profession the right way. One that had checks and balances in it so that what happened with the HPSC didn't happen again. I consulted with legal professionals, heros and Nezu to create the QRA. Then after all that I was recruited by Principal Nezu to come teach at UA. That's who I am. So shut your fucking mouth and get ready to have Mr Aizawa and Mr Kan assess you to see where you stand and where we will need to start from." said Izuku with a manic smile as he tilted his head to the side, causing the pompous student to piss himself as the green haired teaching assistant seemed to loom over him.

A pink skinned girl whispered "That was so hot." in an awed voice causing a green haired girl to detach a hand from her arm and high five the pink girl while making a gushing motion in front of herself. Izuku's friends who heard that all made slightly disgusted faces.

"First, Gross. Second, I am in a committed relationship with Melissa Shield, so watch yourself so you don't 'accidently' become a test subject for the Support department." said Izuku in response to the two girls, who blushed. Suddenly Izuku sprung forward to punch the pompous student between the eyes and cause his eyes to cross and cause his eye beam quirk to go off target into the ground on either side of Izuku. Next he spun to elbow the student in the chest and catch the heel of the other boy with the spring leg quirk as he tried to kick Izuku in the back. With no hesitation Izuku snapped the boy's ankle before dropping his leg to crouch in a defensive stance. Quickly the two boys were pinned to the ground by hardened blood as Aizawa cautiously approached Izuku, who stood up and relaxed as the threat was stopped.

The remaining students all started to whisper and talk as they processed what happened while the teachers called for more bots to treat and detain the students who attacked Izuku. Katsuki grabbed all their attention when he said, "Just so you all know, he has studied all of our quirks and is very well trained in martial arts. He may be quirkless but he could kick all our asses. I have bombs for hands and I hate having to fight him because he somehow knows just the right way to beat me. But he will turn you into the best hero you can be. It's not going to be easy but it will be worth it. So don't underestimate him and don't be a dick ok?"

The remaining students all became thoughtful as the teachers took care of the soon to be expelled and arrested students.

"Ok, gather around. Before we try to continue, does anyone else have anything they need to say or want to leave the course due to the change to how Heroics will be in the future?" drawled Aizawa as he looked over the remaining students. No one moved but a short boy with purple balls on his head raised his hand. Nodding to the boy to speak, Shota was surprised when the boy walked towards him and motioned for him to bend down to talk privately. "Mr Aizawa, uhm, before Mr Kan said the school had a zero tolerance policy for any kind of harassment. Is that for just this school or do past infractions count against a person? I was not a very good person around others in the past. I'm trying to do better and want to be a hero to make up for how I acted in the past. But I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable either because I'm here since I'm technically a criminal because of what I did. Maybe I should mov-"

"Mr Mineta, please stop there. When you entered this school, you entered with a clean slate. We already know you have become different then the person you were less than a year ago. Personally the judge in your case was a jackass and harsher then he needed to be. Just concentrate on becoming a better person and letting us help you do that ok? Just don't go back to being the person you were back then and you will be just fine ok?" Shota told the boy as he looked him in the eyes when kneeling to his height. Getting a teary nod from the boy, the teacher nudged him back towards his classmates before he stood back up and resumed giving them a deadpan look.

"If there is nothing else, we will be starting the quirk assessment." Shota said before he explained how the tests would be done. "Bakugou, you got first place in the Entrance exam. Step up and toss this ball as far as you can however you want with your quirk."

Katsuki caught the ball as Shota tossed to him as he moved towards the circle on the ground. Bracing his body for the blow back the blonde boy reared back to throw the ball but was stopped by Izuku, "WAIT! Just a moment. Miss Jiro please cover your jacks and ears. Mr Shoji please protect your hearing as well. We don't need injuries to happen that can be easily prevented at the start of the year. Though as the year progresses it will be your responsibility to watch out for hazards like this yourself, especially as we acquire and fine tune equipment for your suits. Now that is taken care of Mr Bakagou may proceed." he ended while motioning for Katsuki to go ahead.

Shaking his head, Katsuki once again got ready to toss the ball, the end of his motion being capped by a large explosion that rocketed the ball out of sight. Aizawa waited for the counter to register the distance and turned to show to the students, a 876.2 meters distance showing on the screen. The number raised quite a few eyebrows.

"Good job. Your previous training was definitely on display there, I didn't think you'd break 800 meters but I'm pleasantly surprised." Aizawa said to Katsuki before shooing him back at the group. Turning his attention to the rest he spoke to them, "Now I know not all your quirks will help you in these tests but we want to see how well you think outside the box in using your quirks and your ability with them. Now usually I would have threatened to expel the last place person in this assessment to motivate you all into showing me whether you have the drive to be heros from the start. With the way we are conducting the class this year I think anyone that can't hack it will quickly drop out. Trust me." he ended with an evil smile.

A lot of the students glanced around nervously before Kan stepped forward, clapping his hands hard once and while shaking his head at Aizawa announced that they would be starting the assessment now. As the two experienced teachers got the students going through all the different parts of the test, Izuku stood to the side with a tablet with a stylus so he could write but not have to carry several notebooks. He watched the class go through their paces, taking notice of superior use of people's quirks, such as Awase tack welding the grip strength machine while making a big deal over Shoji almost crushing it, Mineta's use of his balls in the side to side jump, Hagakure's massive 'jump' during the long jump where she ran barefoot and jump to the side to quickly run in the grass to make it look like she almost flew down the sand pit. Then there was Uraraka sending a baseball into orbit with her quirk. Momo makes a cannon to shoot her ball, Koda asking a bird to fly his ball as far as it could carry it. Hitoshi almost caused a riot when he used his quirk to have Uraraka repeat her result for his ball attempt. Aizawa and Kan both put their foot down by saying that Hitoshi didn't break any rules because he used his quirk inside the circle and when he released Uraraka she told everyone he had asked her beforehand and she said yes.

As they all lined up to do the last test, the endurance run, Izuku stepped forward and started stretching. Several of the students quickly made their concerns known since Izuku had admitted earlier that he was quirkless and how unfair it would be to have him compete against quirked students. Only the people who knew Izuku didn't say anything. Aizawa agreed that it was unfair but they were still going to do it.

As soon as the run started Izuku started a steady almost clockwork pace while most everyone else took off at faster paces, the notable exceptions being Katsuki, Shoto, Himiko, Hitoshi and Tenya. Momo made a bike so her pacing was different because she could go faster using the same energy. Soon students started to drop out, having gone too hard at the start and not saved any energy showing they didn't have much conditioning. Then the ones who had done some basic working out started falling out. Soon only ones left were a redhead named Kendo, a tailed boy by the name Ojiro, Tenya, Katsuki, Shoto, Hitoshi, and of course Izuku. Soon bets were being made on who would last the longest, with Himiko being the only one who bet on Izuku. The next to drop out was Tenya surprisingly because he had pushed his quirk too hard and it was starting to burn the skin around it. Next was Kendo and Ojiro who both just collapsed once they got off the track. Katsuki and Shoto both kept pushing themselves to go just that little bit further with Katsuki making it two steps longer before they both passed out on the track. Once Aizawa and Kan dragged the boys off to the side, the class just watched Izuku jog around the track in silence. After checking his stopwatch and calculating how far the teaching assistant had ran, Aizawa suddenly blew a whistle he pulled from his pocket which caused Izuku to suddenly start walking and stretching as he did cool down laps.

Turning to the class Aizawa spoke to them, "Yeah that was unfair to have him run with you guys. Unfair to you. He can keep that pace for hours and be ready to fight at any time during that time." gesturing to a still fresh Izuku as the boy jogged over to them. "You may not ever get to the same level as TA Midoriya but we are going to train you to be able to go for hours at a time. Villain attacks, natural disasters, and other situations where you may need to have the stamina to go just that little bit more to help someone or protect the public. We will do everything in our power to teach what you need to know and the tools to do that."

Next Kan spoke up, "But we can only provide the opportunity and knowledge. You need to provide the determination and drive to learn, push yourselves to your limits and perhaps beyond if need be. We can't force you to do this. Only you can say whether you are willing to go the distance to achieve the title of Hero. So look inside yourself and see if you have what it takes to do this. I hope you do."

From between the two teachers Izuku put the final point to their speech. "Just know if you do decide to continue? We are going to break you, push you harder than you think you can go. But the person that comes out the other side? They will be the best version we can mold you into. You will be the ultimate version you can be. As the school motto says "PLUS ULTRA!"

As the students made their way back to school, leaving the teachers behind with Izuku. Kan waited until they were out of earshot of even Jiro and Shoji before he asked, "I think that went well. Think we'll lose any other students besides the four we already have?"

"Maybe one or two more if the vibes I was getting from a couple of them are right. But I think we might actually keep more than forty students from combining the two classes. I admit that I thought it was a bad idea but I'm starting to warm to the idea because if we are going to condition them like Midoriya here wants then doing it as one giant group will be better because we can use the whole block that the two classes would have used and push them much more. What are your thoughts Midoriya? Izuku?" Shota replied as he turned to speak with the green haired boy.

The two teachers looked to find Izuku laying on the ground on his back staring at the sky. "So that was a lot different then when I would help my friends with their quirks, so many people looking at me. Paying attention to what I said. Not used to that. But there are so many different quirks to analyze, figure out how they could work together." tilting his head up to look at the other men, "We'll have to see if any else quits or is tossed out. But I believe Aizawa is right that we will have more than the usual forty students. Oh we are going to have so much fun showing them the new way forward." Kip upping off the ground, Izuku grabs his tablet and follows the other two as they walk back to the school.

In the boy's locker room

Shoto, Katsuki and Hitoshi found themselves being crowded by a good part of the male part of their class who were asking questions about Izuku, if all the things he had said were true from him being quirkless, foiling his own kidnaping as a kid, destroying the HPSC, and being the one responsible for the new organization in charge of the hero industry.

"Yes all of that is true. Trust us he may not look like much with his sunshine smile, bushy green hair and general cinnamon roll looks. But he is the leading quirk analyst in the world in my opinion. Scientists from I-Island consult with him regularly on how to integrate their support inventions with people's quirks. Many top heros across the world have had their quirks analyzed by him and vastly improved from the advice he has given. Do not dismiss him by letting preconceived notions color your decisions by only hearing he is quirkless and it making you stop thinking about anything else about him." answered Hitoshi, as he changed into his classroom uniform.

Katsuki looked at Shoto, who nodded for the blonde to go ahead and talk. "He's not kidding. Izuku is scary smart. Like Nezu level smart. Which is why the Principal asked him to be his personal student on top of teaching here. So think about that. One of the most intelligent beings in the world has recognized a fifteen year old quirkless boy as his personal student. So what we are saying is, don't have your heads up your asses and fucking listen to what he has to say to you. He will make you into the best hero you can be. But he is not going to be gentle about it. But he also will listen to you if you have questions about something he tells you. It's just sometimes his brain is moving faster than his body is and he might be several steps ahead in his mind then he might have said to you. I'm telling you this so you can know that he is not trying to make you feel dumb or anything. His mind just processes so much faster than other people's do. Now finish getting changed and leave us alone."

As the other boys disbursed Shoto shut off the video he took of the impromptu answer session about Izuku. He quickly wrote a message to Momo and sent it to her to use if any of the girls had questions in their locker room, (Himiko was enthusiastically answering questions on their side). Soon all the remaining students had finished changing and they were making their way back to the home room to pick up their bags and go home. A lot of them had some thinking to do because their future took a very hard turn from where many of them thought it was going before this day started.
