Author's Note: Sorry for the wait! I don't know if anyone checked my profile, if I go awhile to post anything I'm gonna try to have an explanation posted on my profile. My stories aren't dead, but I have had a hard time having time to write between having moved, which is mostly done, my 3 year old daughter, working full time, and my very pregnant Fiancé.

It's another girl, if anyone is curious. Anyways, I've recently resumed writing and should be updating my stories and posting others soon.

Got most of chapter 1 for a Bleach story ready to go, and a Rwby story too, so look forward to that. And thank you all for the reviews, the favs and follows. They go a long way to keep me motivated!

Disclaimer: I don't own Dragonball.

Chapter 3

Planet Namek 5 Years Later…

I've undergone a lot of growth in the 5 years I've lived on Namek. Not literally though, as a Saiyan I was gonna be a shrimp until I'm 16 or 17. Which sucks since Nail has even more of a height advantage on me now, not that I was ever going to have more reach than a Namekian in the first place.

"CRA!" A near full grown Nail slammed his fist into my waiting forearm. The force of the blow sent me skidding back several meters with Nail in hot pursuit.

My Ki Control and power had risen substantially. Not only that, my magic lessons with Master Shel were going well enough. I hadn't learned much, but I had managed to learn Materialization. It wasn't actually called Clothes Beam apparently, since it was used to create plenty of other things such as housing, furniture, and most likely even their ships of old. Though the knowledge to create Ships had been lost according to Master Shel.

I aimed my palm at my rival and charged a ball of crimson ki with a scaly shell, "Shatter Star!" The attack launched towards Nail and halfway to him burst and released several larger ki blasts that homed in on him.

That's why it took no time at all for a house to be prepared for Mother and I. They'de simply made a new one then and there. So far I'd only used it for my clothing and some amenities like cooking and eating utensils.

In place of the Saiyan Armor from before I was sporting a black bodysuit made from the same material as Saiyans normally wore, only it looked like a short sleeve compression shirt with the neckline stopping halfway up my neck with shorts stopping just above the knee. Over that I was essentially wearing GT Goku's outfit only the gi top was dark red, the pants were white, and the hidden sash securing said pants was also red.

Nail aborted his charge and flew straight up with my attack still after him. He fired two golden beams of ki straight down into the barrage, causing a chain reaction and effectively negating my attack.

Gine had gotten considerably stronger herself from the training, though she only participated intermittently. She enjoyed the Ki Control exercises well enough, she just didn't like to spar very often. Which was fine since I really didn't want to hit her either… As it stands she's well above Bardock if his PL really had been at about 10,000.

With Nail distracted I had time to move in behind him with a lot of momentum and slammed my foot into his back, sending him hurtling into the sea hard enough to slam into the sea floor and create a massive burst of water.

Nail had kept up with me at every stage of my training too, even surpassing me often at the beginning due to having a headstart on me in Namekian training. Ki Control had been my focus for a long time, making this energy truly my own. I was still working on the mastery of this body though, I've learned as much as Master Shel could teach me, but our physiologies were too different.

Once I eventually go to Earth I will have to make it a point to train under Muten Roshi as well. Low PL or no, he was a Master of Martial Arts for a reason.

I waited for Nail to resurface, but after a couple minutes of not sensing his Ki I descended to the surface of the water. With a wave of my hand the sea opened below me in an expanding spiral all the way down to the seafloor, but Nail wasn't in his most recent crater.

I touched down to get a closer look but a pair of hands suddenly broke through the basalt beneath me and gripped my ankles. I looked down, 'There's no way he's gonna-'

I'm dragged down until only my head is poking out of the ground. 'Oh my god, he did the thing!' Nail blasted out of the basalt afterwards and made his way out of my knock off Red Sea before smirking down at me. He thrust his hand out and broke my telekinetic hold on the water.

Seeing hundreds of thousands of tons of water coming down on my head naturally made me panic a bit so I raised my Ki to the max. "Graaaa!" My energy broke through my stone prison and rushed Nail at max speed, a huge spray of water coming up with me, blocking his vision. When the mist clears, I'm behind him with his neck in a rear choke hold.

My training here has reached its conclusion for the time being. It was time to move to the next step.

Nail taps my arm when he fails to break my grip. I release my hold and we touch down on a nearby island. Nail was massaging his throat when I decided to break the news.

"I'm leaving today, to continue my training elsewhere for a time." Nail glances at me. "I'm heading to Yardrat to learn their techniques."

Nail releases a sigh and crosses his arms. "Determined to leave me in the dust are you? Well tough luck, by the time you get back I'll' be many times stronger than I am now." He's smirking now.

He's calmed down a great deal since we met. Not nearly as quick to anger, but also more…cheerful? Less serious than his canon counterpart for sure. I wonder if my presence influenced him in some way…

"Is the idea of you being many times stronger than yourself supposed to intimidate me? Zero times a hundred is still zero you know?" Our banter was more two sided now to boot. Much better than him brooding all of the time I think. Nail scoffs and tilts his head in the direction of my observing mother on a nearby hill, smiling happily at us.

"Does she know yet? Can't imagine she's happy about being left behind."

"I told her last night. She doesn't like it, but there's nothing for it with having just the one Attack Ball." What I didn't tell him was that I'd promised to come pick her up once I'd mastered Instant Transmission. Nail wasn't told of my future knowledge, not out of distrust, but to keep my cards hidden from real threats that could gleam such knowledge from his mind. Mero was the only one that came to mind, but I'm sure there were others.

Gine had been especially clingy last night when I told her I'd be leaving tomorrow…

"So when are you leaving?"

"Aw, is Big Green gonna miss little ol me?" Nail just flipped me the bird. Heh, I taught him that one.

"No point in dragging it out, the sooner I leave the sooner I'm back." I looked off into the sky. "Keep an eye out for my mother would you?"

A Week Later…

Yardrat was mercifully close to Namek compared to my first foray into space, which makes sense since Goku had still been injured and exhausted when he arrived. The Yardratians actually had their own spaceport, it was just a matter of landing without cratering the damn thing.

At first there was no one to greet me upon exiting the Attack Ball, until there suddenly was. Almost immediately I'm confronted with several dozens of Yardratians of different shapes and colorations through Instant Transmission. At the forefront were the onion head shaped green Yardrats, and hanging back were the pink skinned variants with the whiskers. A green one that had been at the head of the pack approached me with a smile.

"Hello there stranger, what brings you to Yardrat?" The local doesn't seem to suspect any ill intent on my part at all, which is a pleasant change from my first day on Namek, but also a bit odd.

"My name is Aikon, of the Saiyans, and I'm here to learn the art of Spirit Control." The Yardratian frowns in confusion.

"How is it you've come to know that term? Most only know we use what they refer to as "strange techniques"."

'Oops. Oh well, I'll just go with the same story I gave mother.' And so I do exactly that, with only occasional interrupting questions.

"What a fascinating tale!" The Yardrat is smiling again. "But that's all it is, isn't it?" My tail twitches behind me, which is a tell I'll have to work on apparently. If they were a threat I'm sure my heckles would be raised, but for now I'd remain calm. The Yardrat shrugs. "At least some of it anyways. You lack any evil intent, so I won't pry. Regardless, if it's Spirit Control you seek then we should see Elder Pybara. Come along!" The Yardrat casually takes hold of my shoulder and we're suddenly somewhere else. The spaceport had been very hi-tech, but this building I was suddenly in was more traditional looking, at least on the inside. Standing before me was the largest Yardratian yet. He was similar in shape to the green ones, but he had whiskers like the pink variants and has two point on his head instead of the one, resembling ears almost. This must be that Elder Pybara. What's with Elders being so much bigger than the rest of their race? I mean, I only have the two examples so far, but it's weird that it's happened twice.

The Elder smiled down on me. "Why hello young one, I understand you seek the art of Spirit Control. May I ask to what end?"

"You might find this hard to believe, but I know what's coming. The whole universe is going to face a lot of threats in the near future, and Spirit Control bears techniques that will go a long way in mitigating those threats." I rolled a shoulder deciding how honest I should be here. "I also know that if I myself do nothing, everything should work out fine anyways, but…"

My aura bursts to life around me while I hold up a fist. "I'm a Saiyan at the end of the day, and I want to be at the forefront of conflict. I need to clash fists with the strongest!" My aura flares even more fiercely, white sparks crackling around me. "Power and fury are my birthright!"

My energy disperses and I release a calming breath. "And if my actions happen to make everyone's lives easier in the process, so be it."

Pybara is snickering now. "Well you've plenty of spirit at least, we've got a lot of work to do on that control though."

I rubbed the back of my neck, a little embarrassed by my outburst. It's hard to stay calm in a Saiyan body, your blood is running hot near constantly, like you're always ready to fight. My normal, would feel like a human's adrenaline rush. And when I am fighting, my blood feels like fire and it's near impossible to calm down. It's why Saiyans are such fierce warriors, our adrenaline is just on a different level from other races. Every fiber of our being is built for combat, and I love it!

Pybara breaks my line of thought by casually shrinking down until he only comes up to my chin. Seeing my baffled expression he laughs. "I thought you knew of our abilities young one. Were you not aware of gigantification by chance?"

I shook my head. "I knew of it, I just didn't know you were using it right this moment."

Pybara chuckles, "You'll be able to sense such things later on in your training. You'll sense a great many things once your spirit is refined. You must have found it strange being welcomed so quickly and eagerly, no? One's intent is something you can sense through Spirit Control. If you had violent or evil intent, your efforts would have been for naught. We can sense deceit and honesty just as easily. I had the measure of you before you even arrived to be honest."

That's a pretty crazy ability. Not being able to be lied to is just plain useful, and I could probably use it to predict my opponents next move if I master that ability. Hello bootleg Ultra Instinct~

"For the time being we'll be working on honing your spirit, so you won't be learning any techniques for awhile. I predict it'll take 6 months until you've reached an acceptable level." Pybara takes my arm and I'm teleported once again to an unknown location to begin my training.

3 Months Later…

"Wow, I may have been way off. You're terrible at this…" I sputtered indignantly, losing my grip on the spike I had been hanging onto with my feet and my grip on the flow of my Ki simultaneously for the thousandth time.

'Motherfucker…' I take a deep calming breath and retake my meditative position on the spike. "Its only been 3 months since we started. Another month or two and I'll have this down, just you watch."

"Well if you want any chance of that then we're gonna need to get started on step two." The green Yardratian from when I first arrived, Hatska, landed on the other side of me. As one the two Yardratians raised a palm towards me. Nothing was happening visibly, but suddenly my Ki felt like it was being scrambled from two sides. It made my bones ring and my muscles writhe. In a word? Awful, 0/10.

"We are forcibly disrupting the flow of your Ki in two different random patterns. Your job is to simultaneously calm both parts of the disruption. Once you do, the pattern will change, and we repeat the process until you can adjust near instantly."

"...How is it I'm just sitting here and yet I feel like you're a slave driver?"

End Chapter

I know not much happened in this one but I just wanted to get this out now so y'all know I'm still alive and writing again. Things are stabilizing so I should be writing regularly again soon. Bear with me, I do enjoy writing this and I'm not giving it up if I don't have to.

Also let me know if you noticed the reference I made. It's not a TFS reference.
