In a world where just about everyone and their dog have supernatural abilities, so-called Quirks, having a Quirk with similarities to something out of either a video game, or a fantasy novel, while rare, wasn't particularly out of the ordinary. Such was the case of the holder of the Quirk known as Revenant Queen, Ishtar Midoriya. A Quirk that gave Ishtar access to a rather large variety of abilities… at a cost. Namely a need to consume blood to not only maintain her sanity but also provide her various abilities with fuel (though exactly how that worked was a mystery). A need that was fortunately discovered early in her life and just as fortunately, something that her family managed to deal with by not only setting up an arrangement with one of their neighbors, who happened to run a butcher shop, bringing leftover blood from their shop for Ishtar to consume, for a small fee, and going through with the necessary paperwork to make Ishtar able to legally carry a container with blood, namely a darkened plastic cup with a lid and straw.
While the need to drink blood was an inconvenience for Ishtar, there were other benefits of her Quirk. One of the most notable ones being that she, as of the appearance of her Quirk at the age of four, could eat as much as she wanted without worrying about getting fat or stuffed due to no longer gaining anything from normal food, only needing to consume blood, which (somehow) led to her growing up into a healthy and very conventionally attractive young woman when she went through puberty, even with her fangs and abnormal eyes, he right eye being relatively normal, emerald green with white sclera, while the left eye's sclera was a shade of really dark blue, almost pitch black, with the additional trait of her eyes being that her irises glowed whenever she was either using the active part of her Quirk or when she was thirsty (for blood). Something that was just as much a benefit of her Quirk as it was something that legitimately terrified her was something she discovered by accident, the ability to copy the Quirks of others by consuming their blood directly from their veins, or at least blood fresh enough to be able to be considered as such, such as the blood leaking out of a cut finger. Which was how she got the copies of her parents' Quirks, Attraction of Small Objects from her mom and Fire Breath from her dad.
Throughout her school life, Ishtar became a rather popular girl without even trying. Mostly because of her good looks and friendly demeanor, but also because of her genuine desire to help people, even when that put her in between a bully and the victim. Which led her getting punched in the face and to the discovery of not only the fact that her blood was blue instead of the normal red color of blood, but also the discovery of an ability that Ishtar would make frequent use of during her time in high school. The Blood Shot. A small and fast moving long ranged projectile about the size of a tennis ball made of hardened blood. Depending on how much Willpower she put into it, the Blood Shot's power fluctuated between the power of an averagely thrown tennis ball and the power of a cannonball shot from a cannon found on very old ships, that were pretty much only seen in pirate-movies nowadays. Something she discovered while exercising with a friend of hers, Katsuki Bakugou, in preparation for U.A-High School. Said exercise being using Blood Shot to shoot tin cans and similar things that Katsuki tossed as high into the air as he could.
Something that surprised Ishtar during the first night after getting her Quirk was the fact that not only did she have a completely lucid dream but she met a pair of people in said dream. A pair of tanned women that could have easily been mistaken for twins due looking practically identical. Cruz Silva and, as Cruz referred to her 'twin sister', the Queen. Of the two, Cruz was definitely the most mature one as she was the one who proceeded to give Ishtar the explanation regarding how the child's Quirk and by extension her and the Queen's powers worked as, while not necessarily the best nor the most accurate of explanations, Ishtar had in essence inherited both Cruz' and the Queen's powers through her Quirk. The Queen on the other hand was rather childlike in regards to her behavior, easily getting distracted by things most children would find interesting but adults wouldn't find particularly interesting. While Ishtar did crave blood like the Biological Organ Regenerative Parasites (or BOR Parasites for short) inside Cruz and the Queen, something that caused them to crave blood as well, Ishtar wasn't going to end up Frenzing due to the fact that no BOR Parasite was keeping her body animated, and on the hopefully rare occasion where she did show symptoms similar to Frenzy, the cravings for blood would be able to be satisfied with large enough quantities.
Learning that, thanks to her Quirk, she was extremely resilient and estimated to be capable of regenerating from just about anything short of complete atomic annihilation at the slight cost of temporarily getting heightened cravings for blood was more than a little surprising to Ishtar, based on the Queen's impressive feats of regeneration. Not even getting carved into pieces and having said pieces getting sealed inside the bodies of other Revenants could stop the Queen's desire to live with the only thing that finally put her, and Cruz, to rest being a Revenant compatible with the Queen's Blood and their Attendant, Io.
Throughout the years after first meeting their… host, two Revenants occasionally pulled Ishtar into the mindscape in order to either teach her how to use her/their powers when Ishtar went to sleep. Sometimes though, Cruz would pull Ishtar into the mindscape not in order to teach her anything in particular but simply because she wanted someone to hold a proper conversation with. The Queen rarely pulled Ishtar into the mindscape and the few times she did, it was because she wanted to play with someone besides Cruz, who had difficulties interacting with her childish 'twin sister' for reasons she was reluctant to share with Ishtar.
