These characters don't belong to me, they belong to Martin Walls and his video called The Mysterious House. The only characters that I own are characters that aren't in The Mysterious House or the unnamed character's headcanon names.
Angelo was just getting out of church. He went there pretty much every Sunday morning. Many of his friends knew how dedicated he was to going there, so often they waited for him to get out. When Angelo got out, the fun always began.
That being said, Angelo wasn't always fond of certain things that his friends did, especially if it seemed mean spirited. So a lot of the time, he kept his friends in check. Angelo was sort of the voice of reason, but also a bit of a brother figure to the others too.
One Sunday, Boozoo was talking on the phone in his toy shop. He had just gotten out of jail not too long ago. It was thanks to his son (Boozoo Jr) who bailed him out, just because he cared for his father. Despite this, Boozoo Sr was still very bitter.
"So let me get this straight, you want me to gather up all the toy robots so they won't be sold, why?" asked Boozoo as he was on the phone with the toy robot owner, "Oh geez...Well, I didn't know they were heavy enough to be considered dangerous...Alright, I'll have them ready so the your truck can take them tomorrow...Yes, have a good day."
Boozoo hung up the phone then scoffed, "Pfft, like that's ever going to happen. I need to get rid of them so I can make a profit. After jail time and no one running the place, I'm sure I am in some deep debt!"
Just then, Angelo walked through the door. Boozoo smirked deviously. "Perhaps this will be easier than I anticipated," he said to himself.
"Hey kid," greeted Boozoo, much to Angelo's surprise. "Huh, you seem a little urm...happy," said Angelo, "Did you learn your lesson?" Boozoo's smile immediately disappeared, "How about we don't bring up things from the past, okay?" Angelo nodded in response, "Alrightie. Anyway, I'm here to buy some toys and plan to bring them to the church as donations to other kids who aren't as fortunate to get toys." "Oh are you?" asked Boozoo, "Well I have just the toys you can take! These could be fun for them." He then showed off the toy robots.
Angelo showed great interest. "Hmm," he said, "I think they would really that! I'll take em all. How much do I owe you for all of them?" "That will be 10 bucks!" "10 bucks?" Angelo said in surprise, "I mean, if it's gonna help towards a greater cause, then I'm sure throwing in that much won't hurt."
(Before anyone says anything, the Duckie and Tammy series is set in the late 1970s, so it ment much more than it does as of 2023)
Boozoo put the toy robots in some boxes, then in the back of a wagon, that was attached to a bicycle. Turns out that both of which was owned by Angelo as he was prepared ahead of time to take toys to the church. However, he saw Boozoo struggle with putting the boxes into the wagon. Angelo thought it was a little odd, but he obviously didn't know the truth behind those toy robots.
"Uhh, need help there?" asked Angelo. "No, I'm fine!" replied Boozoo, as he got the final box into the wagon, "Now that you have paid me and the toys are in your wagon, you are all set to go." "Thanks for your help Boozoo!" Angelo thanked. He then started to pedel away, but it became clear that he was struggling. "Ugh, is it supposed to be this heavy?" he asked himself.
Once Angelo was far enough away, Boozoo laughed, "Ha! I can't believe he went through with it! Oh Boozoo, you're too good sometimes..."
Angelo could barely go at the speed of a normal bike. Despite doing everything in his power to go as fast as he could, it just didn't seem to work. "Boozoo, I hope this wasn't deliberate," Angelo said to himself, going through the neighborhood.
There was a big hill and Angelo quickly found out it wasn't worth biking up. So he walked up the hill with his bike, wagon, and the boxes of toy robots. As you could imagine, it was a lot of weight to carry uphill, but Angelo was able to manage.
Once he reached the top of the hill, he got back on his bike and prepared the breaks so he doesn't go too fast downhill. As he went down, he put on the breaks. It worked for a few seconds, but then he began to speed up. However, Angelo wasn't intending to. "What the heck?" he asked himself. He put on the breaks even harder than before, but he only went faster, faster, and faster. "Oh no!" he exclaimed, realizing that he and his bike, along with the wagon and boxes had all become a runaway with practically no breaks.
Rex and Porter were filming and doing some commentary on one of the streets of Brighton. They recently got a deal with a studio looking for anyone with good commentary and a good cameraman to do a documentary on Brighton and it's history. "Before this street existed, there used to be a field where a farmer named Frederick Lyle used to do cropping and take care of the land," Porter explained, "There were a lot of things here, like corn, fruits, vegetables-" Angelo then raced by them yelling, "NO BREAKS!" "Was that Angelo?" asked Rex. "It definitely was!" replied Porter.
Angelo nearly hit into cars and oncoming traffic. He moved to the sidewalks, hoping it would do better, but it didn't. He nearly hit into several pedestrians, one of which being Superintendent Charles. He approached Johnny and Jessie sitting on a bench. Jessie was about to kiss Johnny on the cheek without him expecting it, but was interrupted when Angelo shot past them yelling, "I HAVE NO BREAKS!" "Oh my goodness!" said Jessie. "I think he's in trouble!" added Johnny.
Duckie and Tammy were just leaving the arcade when they saw Angelo speed past them, nearly getting hit. "Woah!" exclaimed Tammy, "You see that?" "Yeah, that was Angelo," said Duckie, "But why was he going THAT fast? There has to be something wrong."
Angelo continued to speed along, dodging pedestrians and traffic as much as he could. The good news was though, he was able to get his bike to start slowing down. "Yes!" Angelo said, "Finally starting to slow down!" But then he saw up ahead and his smile disappeared. There was a bridge ahead that had many danger and reflective signs, warning that the bridge was closed. Angelo closed his eyes and breaked as hard as he had been, as he went through the reflective construction fence.
When Angelo opened his eyes, he and his bike were dangling from the what was left of the bridge as the middle of it was already missing. The only thing keeping him from falling was the wagon and boxes which were still on the pavement of the bridge. However, the wind began picking up and everything began to slowly move. Angelo, fearing the worst, blurted out, "OH NO!!!"
Right as it looked like he would fall off. Everything stopped and he felt a pull. He looked back to see Duckie and Tammy try to pull him in. "We won't let you fall!" said Tammy. The wind made it difficult to pull Angelo in. Just then, Johnny and Jessie came in to help. "We are saving you, whether nature agrees or not!" said Johnny. The 4 trying to pull Angelo in seemed to work, but they still needed assistance. That's when Porter and Rex came in to pull too. "We're here to save you Angelo!" Porter said, sounding like he was about to get emotional, "Mother nature won't take you from us!" What seemed like an eternity of pulling finally ended when the wind stopped and Angelo alongside his bike and everything were pulled in by his friends.
Everyone looked super tired out. "Woah," said Duckie, "That took a lot out of me." "I bet it took a lot out of Angelo too," said Rex, "What happened? How come you were going so fast and barely slowing down?" Angelo explained what happened, leading to where he was now. "Wait a minute, those toy robots were considered dangerous due to their weight a few days ago," said Porter, "All toy stores, as far as I know, were givin the notice as well as phone calls about this and told to have them not for sale. So just to be clear, Boozoo sold you this?" Angelo nodded in response.
His friends all looked furious. "WHEN I SEE THAT OLD MAN, I'M GONNA THROW A COUPLE OF THESE ROBOTS AT HIM," Tammy shouted. "We probably shouldn't do that," suggested Angelo, "I have a better idea."
Back at Boozoo's toy store, he was counting money from earlier customers. "This will help if I am in debt," said Boozoo with glee, "And I got that church loving kid to contribute to it!" He thought he was slick with what he did, but little did he know, this could come back to haunt him.
Angelo walked into the toy store. "Oh? Your back?" asked Boozoo, "I take it that you delivered the toy robots?" "As a matter of fact, I didn't," Angelo replied, "I actually wanna return them." Johnny and Jessie then came in with angry expressions. They had the boxes of toy robots and dropped them to the ground. Boozoo was starting to feel like this may have backfired, "Okay, what happened that caused you to come back here and bring some friends?" Tammy, Duckie, Porter, and Rex then came into the store also looking angry. Boozoo was nervous now.
"What happened?!" said Duckie, "Are you not aware of how heavy those things are?!" "You nearly got our friend killed!" shouted Tammy, "You knew the danger those things posed!" "I didn't want to harm your friend purposely!" shouted Boozoo, "And so what if I wanted to get rid of them?! You know I might be in debt after having this place closed while I was away!" "With all due respect Boozoo, I'd like a refund after what just happened," said Angelo. Boozoo laughed, "Refund? You must be new to the service industry! I don't just hand out refunds!"
"You will now," said a voice. It was the human police officer. His partner was with him too. Boozoo's nervousness was now very obvious to see. "Uhh..." said Boozoo, "What's that over there?!" He then attempted to run and escape out of the back windows, but the police were quick to take him down.
It wasn't seen what was going on now, just noise since it was behind one of the shelves. However, they did hear the sound of a tazer going off and Boozoo screaming. The seven of them cringed, imagining what was going on. "I think I'm gonna head to church now," said Angelo. "Yeah, I think we're all better off doing our own things now," replied Duckie, "The police are taking care of the situation, so...you know."
The kids left the toy store, knowing the situation was being taken care of now. As for Boozoo, it was likely he was to head back behind bars after this.
THE END!
