Back with Aero who was searching for Klonoa. While the cabbit decided he would probably run into his brother while he did his own shopping. Which he did so into getting new gear, a new outfit and some lunch, yet no sign of Klonoa anywhere. This was now getting worrying, his little brother would never miss out on their favorite restaurant. He tried looking around the area, wondering if his brother had just decided to do some of his own shopping. But knowing Klonoa, knows how board that cabbit can get if nothing interest's him. He even asked some of the townsfolk if they had seen the shorter cabbit. Which they only reply was ether no they have not, to just him walking around the town, but it wasn't really much help. He tried hearing out, and even jumped to see if he could spot his brother, yet couldn't find him. This started to concern Aero, while he didn't mind Klonoa going off on his own, the light was beginning to fade, and he knows that the monsters get pretty active during the dark hours. As the Twister Leaper franticly looked around, trying to find any signs of the wind child.

Aero: Klonoa where are ya little bro?! I swear he never gets this board and wonder off. . .Let alone without a trace! I leave for a few minuets, only for him to wonder off, I swear that little gremlin better have kept his ring on!

It was pretty clear that this search was making him both worried and frustrated, how hard is it to find one short black and white cabbit with a blue attire? When he stopped to catch his breath, something had caught his attention. It was someone whom he hadn't seen in a long while. An old friend, , ,he was a bit away and couldn't believe his eyes. The wolf had just got done purchasing some ammo for his weapons. When he turned he was shocked too by seeing the cabbit. It was a rather long silence, both couldn't believe it. It was when Aero had decided to break the silence.

Aero: Guntz? Man what a surprise to run into you here of all places.

Guntz: It really has been awhile. I'm just staying in town for a little while, and possibly meeting up with an old face.

Aero: Oh glad you notice my fur coming in. I'll admit people have been commenting on how handsome I had become, must run in the family heh heh heh.

The cabbit said jokingly with a grin, where the wolf just shook his head.

Guntz: You sure haven't change. And I guess those rumors were true after all. You made a name for yourself into becoming an adventurer.

Aero: And you really have taken the role of being a bounty hunter spot on.

While it was a bit awkward at first, both seemed to patch it up well. It was when Aero then remembered that he was looking for his brother.

Aero: Guntz have you seen Klonoa anywhere? He's a cabbit like me-

Guntz: Only shorter, has fluffy ears the look like clouds, wearing a blue attire with a PAC MAN pin?

Aero: Yup that's him.

Guntz: Yeah I saw him go down an alleyway. He apparently was fallowing this blue bird looking creature.

Aero: A blue bird creature? Now what could compel him to fallow? I know he's a curious kid, but this doesn't add up. . .Well can you help lead the way?

Guntz: Sure come on, it's not too far from here.

Aero fallows the golden killer to where he saw Klonoa, he did find it strange. Why would his brother go into a place where there was less room to move around in, let alone escape potential ambushers? He knows Klonoa kept his ring with him at all times, and does know how to defend himself thanks to their training. You can never be too careful. Once they arrived it felt slightly chilly, as if turned to autumn the moment they entered. They headed down the hallway, only this felt different. It felt strange, more then usual. And they feel like something was in the area, where a mysterious fog came in.

Aero: Hey Guntz, I feel like something doesn't want us to leave.

Guntz: Yeah I get that feeling too. Keep your guard up. You got a weapon on you?

Aero: Just my Crossbow.

Guntz: That'll do.

As this fog was rolling in, something could be heard moving in the shadows. Aero's hearing was keen as he looked in the direction where it was coming from, yet him and Guntz's fur were picking up the slight dangers that were hidden within. Both were being on guard, as they arnt sure if it was a threat or not. Nor were sure whether if it was close or far away. On the ground, the shadows of long, writhing tendrils can be seen.

Guntz; What the hell?!

Aero: I don't know! But whatever it is, I'd rather not stick around to find out!

Both of them had their weapons drawn and were ready incase. From the shadows, two of these tendrils rose behind them, and poked them in the back. The feeling was cold, almost like ice, or a chilling sense when an animal felt that it was in dangers. Both their fur stood up, it was fight or flight, and even though Aero's was telling him to flee, Guntz had the opposite approach. He had drawn his weapon slightly, Aero got the memo and drew his. Where the golden killer took the first aim. It hits nd retracted, where Aero jumped high into the air, hoping to see any signs on where their opponent was. But to also see if they were anywhere familiar. That's when he noticed the walls were much higher and darker. He thought he heard the voice Klonoa being in some kind of trouble. Yet he couldn't leave Guntz, so he urged himself to get the wolf and head in the direction, away from the danger.

Guntz: Aero what's going on?!

Aero: I'm not so sure myself, but I got this feeling that we need to move and fast!

Guntz: Well lead on Lucky Foot!

They quickly move away from the shadow. Fallowing the sound, which helped guide through the fog. The screeching warped into something else entirely. Something that didn't sound like Klonoa. The two made sure to blast incoming shadow enemies, it felt like they were close. However they began hearing a voice that was unknown to them. A whisper? Or a murmur? Just who or what was it? Both could feel a strong presents coming towards them, and could see a pair of cat-like eyes that were icy blue and yellow. Those eyes peered down and stared at them. Almost to that of a creature on the prowl, and how they were it's next prey. It seemed like this presents was able to keep up no matter what, until Aero had to make the difficult decision. He saw the wolf was about to be taken. With quick thinking and fast reflexes, the cabbit shoved Guntz out of the way and was taken by the darkness. Guntz was shocked by this, he tried to help but this force wasn't having it.

Guntz: AERO!

Aero: Don't, it'll only get you too! Find Klonoa and tell him what happened! I trust you!

Hearing that and not having any other choice, and as much as he hated it, Guntz turned and ran as fast as he could. He felt awful for leaving his friend behind, but he needed to keep moving, no matter what. Where as Aero was struggling, he could see something hidden within the shadows, as well as hear a calm yet chilling voice.

?: Inner demons... inner pain... inner turmoil... show them to me...

Aero: Grrr W-what are you doing?! Who or what are you!? Let, , ,me,,,GO!

He had his weapon and was firing with all he could, only for the dark forces to pin him in place. Despite him struggling. he then felt a sharp pain in his own chest.

Aero: W-what is happening?!

The sharp pain exploded into a cloud of dark, negative energy that enveloped around him. The feeling was familiar to him, as it felt like he was being taken to a place of unknown. His breathing slowed as Aero closed his eyes, as if being put into a deep sleep. Aero felt himself being taken into the darkness, he didn't have the strength to fight anymore, he couldn't even use his crossbow. He felt those old feelings return, ones from his early adventures, and how much it caused him so much pain. It was if old wounds had reopened. Eyes had reopened to that of golden amber, and a snarl could be heard within the darken void.
