The legalities: I do not own any of the Expendables franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au.Rated M just to be on the safe side.
Hope you enjoy!
Prompt: "I'm trying my best to be polite, but if you move that knife a centimeter closer to me, I will tear you apart."
Of all the things that could have possibly happened to her while on a mission, this had to be one of the worst ones that could have happened. Jacoba wanted to just roll her eyes, but knew that her captor would take offense to that action. Instead, she just continued to sit, handcuffed to a chair with her hands behind her back, watching the clock and thinking over anything that could go wrong with this godforsaken plan.
This was her fifth mission, that's right fifth. The target was some big shot drug lord in Tanzania (of all places), who liked his cars fast, his women rather tall, and, apparently, his ponies slow. There had been absolutely no way that they would have cotton close enough to take him down if she hadn't suggested and undercover op. of all the members of the team though, she didn't thing that Gunnar would be the one to object so vehemently. But that didn't matter at the moment, since her captor had just decided to come back with a knife in one hand and a video camera in the other.
"Your team will never find you alive. They ask for proof of life, they're about to get it." Damn drug lords. Best try to reason with him a little.
"Ya know," Jacoba started as she eyed the knife, "Ya might not've found yourself in this position if ya'd actually paid off ya damn bookie!" It was times like this that she cursed Caesar and his ideas for accents. Once again, this wasn't the time or the place, as her captor now looked pissed. He charged up to her with the knife threateningly. She rolled her eyes and caught movement in the doorway. Smirking, she said, 'Ya know, I'm trying my best to be polite, but if ya move that knife a centimeter closer to me, I will tear ya apart."
"If she doesn't, I will."
Her captor turned quickly toward the voice at the door. Jacoba took this opportunity to jump up and take down her captor, since she had picked the handcuff lock ages ago. "You should really handcuff a person so you can see their hands at all times." After kicking him once more, she turned to the figure in the doorway. "And what, pray tell, was the hold-up? I expected you all 15 minutes ago, space case!"
Gunnar ducked into the room. "Sorry doll, but he had changed his location and we couldn't find you. Then Barney said that we had to go in quietly so he didn't kill you." He turned to the drug lord, who was now attempting to get up. "Stay down you."
Jacoba stood next to Gunnar, matching his smirk as they looked down at him. "You really picked the wrong girl to mess with, Bub. Now let's get our payday."
With that, Gunnar handed Jacoba a gun, hit the drug lord on the head to knock him out, then hefted him onto his shoulder as she checked the area and headed out the door.
