Grameus Continent, year 1634 five years before the transfer.
Orc patrols patrolled the most arctic part of the continent, impatiently searching for something even in a blizzard.
Not more than a few kilometers away two people were hiding in a cave, but they were not human. They were carrying two wings on their backs, the younger one had white wings with brown spots while the older one had one black wing and the other were extremely exhausted after running for so long.
"Damn it! Father, are you all right?" said the younger one, who looked to be about 25 years old, as he helped him from falling by lending him his shoulder.
"Don't worry about me, boy, if I'm right in this cave is what we were looking for." Said the older traveler, who had the appearance of someone over 50 years old. He placed his hand on the wall and runes began to glow. "More importantly, haven't you lost the device?"
"I have it, once we free the demon lord we can control his mind and use his army to help us bring the Ravernal empire back!"
"Father, are you sure we can control his army? If the device fails then we will be devoured by the demo... by the empire's biological weapons." The youngest expressed his doubts.
"It is a risk we must take, the high command of the Annorial Empire is planning a full scale war for the next 15 years against the entire world. If we succeed it means that the entire third civilization will be consumed and we won't have to worry about Parlpadia and her mages." Said the elder called Daxild to start going deeper into the cave.
They both continued walking deeper, using magic to light their way through the dark cave and in silence.
"We are so close." Daxild said to himself. "With the return of the demon lord and with the Ravernal revival beacons we the winged people will be able to regain our status alongside our ancestors, the Ravernal Empire. We were forced to hide our legacy for fear of reprisals but no more."
"Father, if I remember correctly Nosgorath has the magical power to destroy entire armies of the third civilization but if reports are correct it could not do much against the heavy machinery of Mu or the core world. If they decide to send help to Topa's realm then they could stop it."
"Judiciable doubts, but that's what we have the bioweapon mind control device for, they won't avalanche against the continent of Philiades until we attack Mirishial first. That way they won't be able to help Philiades in any way!"
After hours of traveling through the subway tunnels, they arrive at what appeared to be a giant wall with a magic circle over 40 meters in diameter.
"Here we are." Daxild said with a smile.
Immediately they both began to recite a spell, words in a language so strange and distant that even the translation spell in which all the summoned were imbued could not translate it.
It was hours of reciting words that they must have learned by heart, any failure in pronunciation or timing would at best cause them to have to repeat the whole thing all over again, and at worst there would be terrible consequences for them.
Nevertheless they were able to recite the spell perfectly, as they finished they soon saw the magic circle begin to glow and then open a kind of portal.
"Son! Give me the device!" He ordered the father and the son to obey, Daxild granted him with her magic power.
Soon they saw a dark humanoid creature coming out of the portal, a 3 meter tall creature with coiled horns. That was Nosgorath, the most powerful biological weapon created by the Ravenal Empire.
The youngest couldn't help but tremble at the sight of that monster, the only thing he knew about Nosgorath was from the ancient reports going back millennia. A creature with immense power capable of ridiculing high-level magician exercises.
"Demon Lord Nosgorath!" Daxild exclaimed loudly as she pointed the device in the direction of that demon. It could be seen that the confidence he showed earlier disappeared as he felt the creature's immense magical power. "I, Daxild Branmar, demand that you submit to the will of the Annonrial Empire, who are the rightful descendants of your masters, the Ravernal Empire!"
"Submit to you?" They both heard the words and could not help but suffer an indescribable fear, that voice was imposing and it was simply terrifying. "Such pathetic creatures as you will never be able to comprehend even the power of my masters, you are nothing but insignificant insects!"
From one moment to the next, Daxild felt like a lot of oversized needles were sticking all over her body and piercing vital organs. It was only for an instant that she could see dark needles disappearing to make way for the blood that was draining out of her body quickly. He felt how quickly his vision began to darken, before falling unconscious he turned to his son to tell him what he was sure would be his last words. "Run."
The young man did not come to himself until he heard his father's body fall to the ground, to start running immediately. However, he did not get very far when he felt a stabbing and unbearable pain take over his left leg, making him fall. With an indescribable fear he turned to see his leg, it was reduced to an amorphous mass full of blood product of the large number of cuts there were, he did not think about how that could happen, he simply screamed for the greater pain that he had ever suffered.
Desperate, he tried to crawl, even though he knew he was dead, he still wanted to get as far away from that monster as possible. But when he was using all his strength to crawl, he could hear another voice.
"Nosgorath, it's rude to try to kill those who freed us~" That voice was not like the demon lord's, it was a melodious voice, one that would calm the hearts of whoever heard it, to such an extent that even the young man suddenly calmed down upon hearing it, calming his pain.
Soon a bright light covered the young man's leg and his father's body, it was only a few seconds but for the winged boy it seemed like an eternity. When the light faded his leg was completely healed.
"Such a powerful healing magic... Father!" Quickly he went to where his father's body was, soon he saw that he was getting up wit difficult. "Father! You're alive!"T he young man was helping him to stand up.
"Yes but... How?"
They both looked in the direction of Nosgorath, he was with his back to them and both were surprised that that monster was bending his knee in the direction of the portal.
In a few moments later they see someone appear, a two-meter person, definitely much less intimidating than Nosgorath. Because this person was... beautiful, of such a beauty that it would overshadow the most beautiful of the elves, with features so fine, delicate and youthful that anyone who saw it would believe that it was a woman. However, the Adam's apple in his throat, the voice, which although it was a melodic and soft voice was clearly masculine and that he was wearing part of his chest uncovered by his loose tunic confirmed that he was actually a man.
However, the beauty of that boy had not only caught their attention, but also the four completely white wings that came out of his back that combined with his golden hair like gold and his crown of gems, that was an indication that they were facing a purebred member of the Ravernal Empire.
"My apologies for the bad time you had, demons are not known for their manners." The young Ravenal was inspecting the two with his gaze, focusing on their wings. "Are you two Nephillims?"
"Nephilims?"Asked the oldest.
"Mestizos or haf-breeds, maybe you do know those terms."
"A-that's right!" Said the youngest kneeling next to his father. "Thank you for saving my father and my life."
"It was nothing, it was the least I could do after they pulled us out of that pit." He said with a warm expression. "Well, before you tell me how much the world has changed, let's get out of here first, I was more than two thousand years without being able to see the sky."
"Sure sir, we know the way to the outside, please follow us." Daxild said, he didn't expect at all that a member of the Ravernal Empire would have been locked up with Nosgorath, but thanks to that the mission was successful.
"It won't be necessary~" The former prisoner said snapping his fingers. Soon the four of them were outside the cave, in the middle of the snow, both the father and the son looked very confused.
When he saw the snow and the sky covered up because of the blizzard, the four-winged young man seemed upset.
"Tsk, I said I want to see the sky!" Raising his hand to the sky, the gems of his crown began to shine for a few moments and suddenly the blizzard stopped completely and the winds disappeared, giving way to the blue sky.
"I-impossible!" Exclaimed the son.
"What a magnificent power…" That's the only thing Daxild could have said in the face of that display of magical power.
"Ahh~ The blue sky, as beautiful as I remembered it."He said with an expression of satisfaction and joy. "With that settled, where are we? If I had to guess I would say that they are the mountainous areas of Asia Minor, maybe Anatolia or Parthia or maybe in the Caucasus on the Scythian borders."
"Ehh, no sir, we are on the Grameus continent." The man replied.
"Grameus? Those bastards went to another continent just to lock me up?!" The four-winged youth looked somewhat confused.
"Father, this is strange." The son was beginning to whisper to his father. "He said he was locked up two thousand years ago, but Nosgorath was locked up much longer ago."
"That's because I was locked up afterwards." He replied having listened to him. "If I had Nosgorath at that time I would have wiped out my enemies, luckily the stupid ones didn't check if there was no one in the dimension they sent me to."
Before they could say anything more, several footsteps are heard and a shout: There they are!
They were the orcs who had found them, surrounding the group of four with at least 20 orcs and four direwolves.
"Orcs?... Orcs!" Exclaimed the young prisoner with an expression of utter surprise and excitement. "They are orcs! I've never seen one before! I only knew about them from my parents' stories what a thrill!" He said taking a leap, which left everyone confused except Nosgorath.
"Get used to it, that was his expression when he arrived at our prison." Nosgorath said crossing his arms.
"What? how is it possible to be surprised seeing them?!" Daxild was asking, a member of the Ravernal Empire is supposed to have seen them.
"One moment!" Said the former prisoner realizing something. "Are we not on earth?! Does it mean that this is the world from which we were expelled by the gods?!"
"Yes, my lord! This is the world where the Ravernal Empire had to be exiled to another existential plane and where it originates from." Nosgorath replied.
"This... it is... amazing!" He said taking his hand his head, trying to keep the emotion. "On that day when the empire had to disappear, a small group of us were able to flee to different worlds... I never thought that one day I would return to my parents' home..."
A mixture of feelings and feelings accumulated in the chest of the four-winged youth, so much so that tears started to come out of his eyes.
Father and son did not know what to do, they were completely overcome by the strangeness of the situation, however soon the moment that should have been emotional was interrupted when an orc war axe flew towards the former prisoner's head, hitting his neck.
"Don't you dare ignore us!" Said the orc who threw the weapon.
However, the axe simply bounced and fell to the ground, without causing the slightest damage.
There were a few moments of silence that seemed to be an eternity, the young prisoner simply turns his head to look at the orc with his red eyes for having cried and for the anger he felt.
"I was having an emotional time here!" He said clenching his fist while still seeing him, the crown he was wearing was shining slightly.
At the moment of doing that the orc that had offended him falls to the ground screaming in pain, coughing up blood forcefully while writhing from too intense an internal pain, to then vomit a large amount of blood combined with other things that seemed to be his internal organs and then fall lifeless.
The other orcs were paralyzed watching one of the them dying horribly in a matter of seconds, it was as if his internal organs were completely crushed.
"Attack!" The one who seemed to be the leader of the group shouted after recovering from the initial shock, everyone concentrated on the young man with four wings.
However, every blow they struck was blocked by a kind of energy field that shattered the axes, swords and hammers.
"Aren't you going to help your master?!" The father was asking the demon lord.
"It's not necessary, they made him angry and they will be eliminated by his own hand, if I interfere he will get even more upset." Nosgorath replied.
"I said: I was having an emotional moment!" He said holding up two fingers and soon five of the orcs were raised to heat, to then make them crash into each other at high speed. However, instead of a bloody clash, the five orcs ended up fused together, thus giving an amorphous abomination that writhed in pain at having shattered bones so that they all fit without meaning instant death.
Screams of horror and pain came from the mass of orcs, completely desperate to try to separate but without even being able to stand up, the direwolves obeying their instinct fled from there quickly.
"You half-breeds want to know why the gods declare war on the Ravernal Empire?" He said seeing them both. "Because we found the most powerful magic that would turn us into gods like them... the magic to control matter at will." Closing his fist, he caused that amorphous mass to expand, or rather that matter such as organs and bones expanded, beginning to stretch the flesh and bones, causing cracks so that then the amorphous mass explodes in a rain of blood and visors.
When Daxild's son saw this, he couldn't help but vomit, even his father looked very disturbed at that scene. The orcs, despite being a warrior race, began to flee in terror.
However, he did not let them escape, snapping his fingers he appeared in front of them, extending his four wings to the maximum, so that suddenly a multitude of eyes began to come out of those wings that watched them as if a predator were watching its prey.
The orcs simply became completely paralyzed without being able to take their eyes off those eyes, a sight that seemed to be able to see to the bottom of their souls, as if they could hide absolutely nothing.
Soon the orcs began to scream as if they had seen the most horrible thing in their lives, they completely lost their reason, they tried to tear out their own eyes giving screams of horror and, when there were no more eyes, they tore their own faces tearing off strips of meat and threw themselves on the ground writhing.
However, they continued to see those eyes, those eyes that stared at them, showing them something, that something only the gods know. No matter what they do those eyes kept going in their mind those visions wouldn't stop until they bleed to death in the snow.
"They will be like that until they die." Said the former prisoner to then transport them to another place where the screams do not interrupt them.
"What was it you did?…" The young man was trembling, it was a miracle that he was able to ask that without stuttering, the terror he felt was much greater than the one he felt when he saw Nosgorath.
"Don't worry about that, that spell only drives creatures with low intelligence crazy." He explained to calm him down a little.
"And... that power to control matter?" Daxld was asking very interested.
"That, according to my parents, this power is only capable of being used by someone who wears one of these crowns." He said pointing to the crown of gems on his head. "By the time the gods attacked the empire they could only create two of these, one went to earth while the other's location is unknown. that could be in this world or in one of the other worlds where my people escaped."
They both breathe a sigh of relief to hear that there were no more of those things, even though they expected the Ravernal Empire to be absurdly powerful that power was simply beyond their comprehension.
"My lord... is there any way we can call you?" The father asked with fear.
"Hmm..."The winged prisoner seemed to ponder it. "On earth they used to call me many different names, but the name I liked the most is... Baal." He replied smiling. "Now... can you explain to me how this world works?"
"And that's all." They were both telling him about the different civilizations and about the plan to bring back the Ravernal Empire. "We are sure that with your help we will be able to bring them back."
"Why do I want to do that?" Baal asked smiling.
"What?" They both couldn't believe what he said.
"Why should I obey someone else? I have an army of demons at my disposal waiting for my signal to cross the portal. I am going to be the absolute ruler of these lands!"
"But if you show up suddenly Mirishial is going to come after you! They have weapons from the Ravernal Empire!" Thhe youngest was exclaiming.
"I'm not an idiot, boy, I'm going to test Topa's defenses first and instensify the attacks over time. That way the other countries will send more and more help that will let me know how strong they are, and then start with the large-scale invasion." He replied. "Besides, these experimental failures are idiots, no one knows about tactics. Even Nosgorath only knows how to obey orders, I will need him and others to learn how to command an army and gain experience. It doesn't matter how powerful Nosgorath and I are, leading an army has nothing to do with individual strength."
"That's it... true, biological weapons are directed by military personnel, they have no real leadership qualities." Daxild was commenting, to then receive a hateful look from Nosgorath that made him shiver.
"Biological weapons? You're wrong, Nosgorath is the only biological weapon on the other side of the portal, the others are failed experiments." Baal replied with a chuckle.
"What do you mean by that?"
"The other demons on the other side of the portal were actually experiments to specialize human slaves, we combined their DNA and biology with animals so that they are not so weak, but the result was decerebrated demons whose only use is to use them as cannon fodder." He replied by showing one of those demons, chimeric men with parts of different animals.
"Why did they do that? Give more capabilities to humans?" The young man cannot understand.
"Not to give them more capabilities, to specialize them, for example a human with a dog nose that helps us during hunts or that can live underwater so that we can make them build things underwater. As far as I know we had success with time."
"Demi-humans," they both said.
"That's it! I had forgotten the name! The answer was simpler than we thought, instead of adding animal DNA we simply replaced the primate DNA with that of the animal in question, in that way we managed to make nature believe that a dog followed the same evolutionary path as the bipedal primate that is the human one... Yeah, I don't know how to explain it, I'm not good at biology and I've been out of practice for more than two thousand years." He said, chuling a little and then talking again. "Well, as a thank you for freeing me I will allow both of you to return to your lands and I will not interfere in your mission to bring back the Raveral Empire, for now."
And that's how the demon lord was released, measuring the strength of humanity waiting for the perfect moment to overrun the continent of Philliades.
