I have to say that this is one of my favorite ones to write, since I got to explore another aspect of Jacoba and the team.
The legalities: I do not own any of the Expendables franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au.Rated M just to be on the safe side.
Also, please don't be afraid to write reviews. I would love to hear from you all!
Hope you enjoy!
Prompt: "Small fire! I said to set a small fire! This is not small!"
"Oh no."
Jacoba looked up at Lee as the man looked over her shoulder into the restaurant they were sitting outside of. It was the perfect place to scope out their current target from and they had been there the last couple days. "That doesn't sound good."
"So, hypothetically – "
"What the hell, Caesar, where did you come from?"
"You really don't want to know. But that's beside the point. So, hypothetically – "
"That never sounds good."
"J.D!"
"Sorry Caesar, you were saying?"
Caesar huffed before starting again. "So, hypothetically – "
"Run now, talk later!" That was Toll Road running past them towards the corner. Sharing a look with Lee, Jacoba got up and started after Toll, with Lee and Caesar not that far behind.
When the four got back onto the place just outside of the village, Toll turned on his partner before Lee or Jacoba could even react. "Really man? A small fire! I had said to set a small fire in the corner! That was most definitely not a small fire!"
"Well how was I to know that there was fresh paint in every room of out little hideout? And that it was extremely flammable?"
Jacoba pinched the bridge of her nose. "Let me guess, your hypothetical that you were trying to say had to deal with this incident? And don't act all innocent, Caesar, I know you better than that."
"Um, yes? I was really just going to gauge how mad you would be if I had set fire to an entire building."
"You know what, I don't even know why I expected any less from you anymore." Jacoba threw up her hands and started to walk away before stopping. She turned back to Toll with an accusatory glare and finger pointed to his chest. "Wait, you told him to set a fire?!"
Lee just groaned. He was not going to have fun informing Barney about this.
