Okay, a piece of background that I haven't addressed as of yet. In my head-canon/universe, Jacoba had originally been rescued by the team a few months after the first movie ended. She had stayed with the team for a few months before they took her back to her birth-givers. Then, as mentioned in the fifth installment (Giving Permission), she had hitchhiked most of the way back to the team about four months after that.
I've got a bunch of these written and am sometimes skipping ahead in my order on what I am writing, so this thought had occurred to me and I felt I had to let you all know.
Don't worry, I will (eventually/hopefully) write this backstory up in one of the one-shots.
The legalities: I do not own any of the Expendables franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au.Rated M just to be on the safe side.
Also, please don't be afraid to write reviews. I would love to hear from you all!
Hope you enjoy!
Prompt: "Remove your hand of I will rip your arm off and beat you to death with it."
Today was not going well. For starters, Jacoba had woken up with a headache ten minutes before her alarm this morning, causing her to roll out of bed in a hurry since she thought she was late to meet Barney. This had then caused her to fall onto her ass so hard that it stunned her for a few moments. It took her alarm actually going off to bring her out of her stupor, causing her to groan before turning off the alarm and getting ready at a more normal pace.
After the meeting with Barney (which took longer than necessary), Jacoba found herself pulled into refereeing yet another shouting match between Toll and Caesar over something that Jacoba couldn't even begin to understand. Eventually, Tool told them to shut up and get out, which they did after a little while. Two hours later, after helping Tool with a backlog of paperwork (again since it seemed like the man was allergic to doing said paperwork), Lacey had came barging into the shop with very few words and dragged Jacoba up to her room above the shop.
That's how Jacoba found herself seated at a corner table at a bar of Lacey's choosing, sipping on a whiskey and coke while Lacey went up to get another beer for herself. This really wasn't the way she had wanted her day to go, but no one can ever really say no to Lacey. Sighing, Jacoba closed her eyes, attempting to will her headache, which had gotten progressively worse throughout the day, away.
Feeling someone sit down next to her, Jacoba stated, "I really don't think that this was a good idea, Lace."
"Well I think it was a great idea."
Jacoba quickly opened her eyes and glared at the unknown man sitting a bit too close to her. "Go away."
"Now, sweetheart – "
"One I am not your sweetheart and two, if you won't leave, I will." Jacoba had her stuff in hand and started to walk towards the door when she felt a hand on her arm, pulling her back to the creep.
"Oh, come on, sweetheart, I just want to talk to you."
Jacoba looked down at his hand then back up at him. Glaring, she sneered, "Remove your hand or I will rip your arm off and beat you to death with it."
Feeling his shock as his grip loosened, she ripped her arm out of his hand and marched toward the door. Lacey met her there with Lee, who was apparently already called to be their ride. After he herded them into the car, Jacoba sighed. "Lacey?"
"Yea?"
"Next time, let's just stay in."
"Deal."
