Forewarning, there is a bit of swearing in this one-shot.
The legalities: I do not own any of the Expendables franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au.Rated M just to be on the safe side.
Also, please don't be afraid to write reviews. I would love to hear from you all!
Hope you enjoy!
Prompt: "Do you feel guilty? Like at all?"
"I don't have time to feel guilty. And neither do you."
Saving hostages was getting to be a bit of a normal occurrence for the Expendables. So was Jacoba ending up being one of said hostages, apparently. She rolled her eyes and leaned back, sitting next to the one she had been sent in to get.
All of a sudden, she found herself being lifted by the back of her shirt and she opened her eyes to see one of the idiots who were "in charge" standing in front of her, sneering. She raised her eyebrow. "Can I help you?"
"You got a problem, bitch?"
"Um, you're the one who had me by my collar. I think you might be the one with a problem."
"Shut up, bitch! I'm the one in charge!" The idiot proceeded to (read attempt to) throw her across the room and then come after her with his gun raised as if to beat her with it. Without a second thought, Jacoba kicked her legs up, silently thanking the fact that she was able to wear dress pants in this instance, disarming the idiot before flipping to her feet and getting into a fighting stance. The idiot growled and charged right at her. After a few minutes of fighting, Jacoba knocked him down (and out). Sighing and feeling the eyes of her "target" (there had to be a better word in this case, since she wasn't taking her down) on her back, she went and grabbed the gun, checking it over before tying up the idiot and turning back to the other woman in the room.
"You ready to help me get everyone out of here?"
"Wait, have you done this before?"
Jacoba rolled her eyes. "Literally all the time. Grab what you need to and let's go."
"And do you feel guilty when you do this? Like, at all?"
"Ok, one, talk and walk, we've got to get out of here." Jacoba kept trying to herd the woman out the door. "And two, I don't have time to feel guilty. And neither do you. Now, let's move."
With that, Jacoba took point to clear out the rest of the building. By the time she and the other hostages got out of the building, she was definitely ready to hand off or knock out the target, who had not stopped asking questions since Jacoba had gotten them out of the room they had been locked in. Luckily, Jacoba beat Lee to the cockpit once they got to the plane, smirking back at him when he gave her a look. Let the boys deal with the inquisitive woman now.
