The legalities: I do not own any of the Expendables franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au. There are some uses of lines from the first Expendables movie that I don't own either.Rated M just to be on the safe side.

Prompt: "I've never been so insulted!"
"You don't listen much, do you?"
This mission was an anomaly. For once, it wasn't an infiltration. Well not a "quiet" infiltration, which focused on Jacoba going undercover. This was a guns' blazing, kick the door down kind of mission, without hostages. Jacoba sighed as she and her partner for this mission, Gunnar, crouched and waited for the signal for them to cover the others' entrance. Being the sharpshooters of the team had its advantages.
As they sat on the rooftop facing opposite ways, Gunnar and Jacoba listened to the banter happening over the comms as the rest of the team got into position. Apparently, it was Caesar's turn to be picked on for some of his quirks. Both of the sharpshooters were smirking and holding in their laughter so as to not give away their position. It was just too good.
Toll Road was currently recounting the conversation the two of them had had on the way to Vilena a few years ago now. Apparently, he had named his ammo for his main weapon, calling it his girlfriend "Omya Kaboom." And he had followed his description of what it could do by pulling out a straight razor and saying, "And if that doesn't work, her sister will."
Barney's voice cut through the chortles of the rest of the team. "Let's go."
Twenty minutes later, the team was in the air, headed home and continuing to rag on Caesar. It was even more animated than before, with a successful mission under their belt and the addition of Gunnar. Jacoba was listening (and smirking) as she sat nearby reading, but not contributing, as she figured the guys had enough stories to last until Caesar had had enough. Lee had just finished telling the story about Caesar and Toll and the fire incident when Caesar's good mood had run out. "Oh, come on guys, are y'all about done with this? 'Cause I've never been so insulted in my life."
They all turned when they heard a snort from Jacoba. Feeling everyone's eyes on her, Jacoba looked up to see confused looks on everyone's faces. She smirked. "Oh Caesar. You don't listen much, do you?"
Jacoba turned back to her book as the guys all started to laugh, including Caesar, who couldn't help but join in. At least they were all having fun.
