Yay, another continuation! This continues on from Foolish Ideas, the last chapter.

The legalities: I do not own any of the Expendables franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au.Rated M just to be on the safe side.

Also, please don't be afraid to write reviews. I would love to hear from you all!

Hope you enjoy!

Prompt: "There are at least seventeen ways this could have gone better. Literally. Like I'm counting them right now, you moron."

Today was not going well. Jacoba sighed as she pinched the bridge of her nose, shaking her head at some people's stupidity. In front of her sat Luna and Thorn. The day before, she had thought that she had successfully talked Thorn, who had been up and working on a project for over twenty-four hours, out of installing a new navigation system on Barney's death-trap of a plane. Unfortunately, it would seem that Luna had decided to encourage Thorn's foolish idea after Jacoba had left, because the next thing she knew, Barney was calling her, telling her to get her ass to the hanger to make sure he didn't kill the kids.

It wasn't until she'd gotten to the hanger and saw Luna and Thron sitting in front of Barney that Jacoba recalled the earlier conversation she'd had and sighed. After letting Barney vent for a while, Jacoba was able to convince him to let them leave and actually sleep (and thankfully it looked like Thorn had actually listened to her for once) and to let her deal with the aftermath. Bringing up the fact that he had brought her there to mediate and ensure that he didn't kill anyone did seem to help her suggestion.

So, here she was, first thing in the morning, glaring at the two idiots. "Shut it."

Both furrowed their brows. Luna spoke up first. "We didn't say anything."

"No, but actions speak louder than words. And the both of you had plenty of actions you did yesterday. I'm still pissed that they two of you went ahead and attempted to put a new navigation system into Barney's plane after I specifically told you not to. In fact, there are at least seventeen ways this could have gone better. Literally. Like I'm counting them right now, you morons. Now," Jacoba pulled a chair over and sat cross-legged in front of them, also crossing her arms, "let's talk about what these better ways are and how you should have handled it."

"Jacoba…"

"But…"

Jacoba help up her hand. "Would you rather I get Barn back here to yell instead?" At their apprehensive and slightly pouting faces (because they both knew that she would make good on that threat), Jacoba smirked and continued. "All right then, let's get started."

In the end, the three of them had come up with twenty plans that could have been better ones to be implemented as opposed to what they did. She was even able to get them to apologize to Barney. Jacoba sighed again. Some people were just stupid.
