The legalities: I do not own any of the Expendables franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au.Rated M just to be on the safe side.

Also, please don't be afraid to write reviews. I would love to hear from you all!

Prompt: "What the hell kind of noise was that?"

"I sneezed."

"That was not a sneeze."

"You look like shit."

"Why, thank you, Viking. That's exactly what someone wants to hear first thing." Jacoba attempted to roll her eyes, but just ended up wincing instead. She had woken up with plugged ears, a clogged nose, and a pressure headache behind her eyes. Truth be told, she was slightly surprised that she had somehow gotten to the hanger unscathed. That she didn't remember how the hell she'd even gotten there was beside the point.

Now, she found herself being guided over to the couch and gently pushed down to sit on it. Looking up she saw Gunnar looking at her with what she thought was concern (her eyes weren't focusing, so she couldn't exactly be sure). So, she raised her eyebrow and was about to say something when she felt a sneeze coming on. Instead of attempting to hold it in, she let the sneeze go.

"What the hell kind of noise was that?"

Jacoba coughed and attempted to glare at Gunnar, though it didn't help as he was walking out the door towards the kitchen. When he walked back out with a steaming mug, she just raised an eyebrow and accepted it instead of actually asking what he had given her. As she let the steam wash over her face, she replied, "I sneezed."

She could practically feel Gunnar roll his eyes as he sat down next to her, placing a blanket he got from somewhere around her shoulders. Sighing, she could feel her sinuses starting to clear from the steam before sipping the broth he'd given her. "That was not a sneeze, woman."

"Whatever, Gunnar. You know, I blame you."

"You blame me for your sinuses?" Jacoba gave him a droll look over the mug in her hands. "Just drink your broth and relax, ok?"

"Mmmhmm."

After she finished the broth and Gunnar was taking the mug back into the kitchen, Jacoba laid down and closed her eyes. A few minutes later, she felt her torso being lifted and, when it was let go, her head landing on someone's lap. Opening her eyes and looking up, she saw Gunnar give her a mall smile as he started to run his fingers along her scalp. "Just relax, doll. You took care of me when I was sick, so let me take care of you, alright?"

As she settled down again, Jacoba couldn't help but smile as she closed her eyes. Maybe Gunnar wasn't so bad after all.
