The legalities: I do not own any of the Expendables franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au.Rated M just to be on the safe side.

Also, please don't be afraid to write reviews. I would love to hear from you all!

Prompt: "How long have you been standing there?"

"Longer than you'd like."

Jacoba was done with all the bullshit. In fact, she was ready to actually kill one of the people she swore she wouldn't, even though they'd always made her life a living hell. It was so stupid that it had come to this.

Currently, she was in her old room above Tool's Tattoo Shop, pacing and trying to not throw things. She knew that, down in the shop itself, the woman that she had once called her younger sister was waiting for her to show her face again. Jacoba hadn't talked to her in over a month (and even that had been because Gunnar had pushed her to) and that had not ended well. In fact, the woman had practically yelled at Jacoba to never contact her ever again. And now she was here.

Jacoba groaned and threw her hands up in the air. "I don't even know if I want to know how the hell she found me. Well, I guess that I should be grateful that she showed up here and not at the house, but it's still the principle of the matter! She told me off for not following our birth givers' plan for me and then told me to never contact her again. And then she gave our birth givers the number of the burner I had used and then they had called me." All throughout her little rant she had taken to pacing quicker and growling a bit more than usual. "And now she, what, wants to make nice? Get on my good side?"

"More like she just wanted money."

Jacoba jumped and quickly turned toward the door. Gunnar was leaning against the door jam, giving her a look that conveyed compassion for what she was going through. She sighed as she looked at him. "How long have you been standing there?"

Gunnar scoffed as he straightened up and began to move towards her. "Longer than you'd like." He pulled her into his arms once he got close enough. "Trench had stopped by and intimidated her into telling the truth before Caesar helped him escort her out. How are you doing?"

Jacoba leaned her head onto his shoulder and sighed. "Just frustrated and feeling a bit betrayed. I think I'm good now though. Ranting helps sometimes. Wait did you say Trench is here?"

Her man laughed. "Yeah, want to go see him?"

"Only if he explains why he's here." Jacoba gave Gunnar a kiss before backing up, grabbing his hand and pulling him out of the room. Maybe talking to the big man would help get her mind off of everything else.
