I don't know why, but I actually like writing Doc and Jacoba being paired off on missions. In my mind, he can be annoying sometimes, but she can as well, so in all reality, they actually get along quite well. Her and Galgo, on the other hand, will be an avenue to explore in the future.

The legalities: I do not own any of the Expendables franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au.Rated M just to be on the safe side.

Also, please don't be afraid to write reviews. I would love to hear from you all!

Hope you enjoy!

Prompt: "Tell me something I don't know already."

"That's a dangerous statement for there are many things you do not know, and there are even more things which should be kept secret."

"You're annoyingly cryptic, old man."

"I try."

"Amazon."

"Yes, Doc?"

"How do we keep ending up in these types of situations?"

Jacoba scoffed as she attempted to roll her shoulders as she hung by her wrists. Doc was in a similar situation not far from her. They had been paired together (again) on a mission, where they were to infiltrate a foreign dignitary's compound and acquire some data that they were holding hostage there. It had been Doc's turn to be her partner, but instead of the typical con-their-way-in (well, typical when the two of them worked together), they were to do a complete thief-in-the-night infiltration. As in, both were clothed in all black and had snuck in in the dead of night. Jacoba had the data hidden on her, which was good, since they had almost gotten out of the compound when they were captured by the security guards. She rolled her eyes before looking at Doc again. "Your guess is as good as mine, old man. I've pretty much given up trying to figure out how this sort of situation keeps happening."

"You know, you really aren't helpful at times like these, Amazon."

Jacoba scoffed as she attempted to hold in her laughter. "I've heard that before, Doc. So why don't you tell me something I don't know already."

This time Doc scoffed. "That's a dangerous statement for you to say. You know, since there are many things you don't know and there are even more things which should be kept secret."

An eyeroll was Doc's reward as he attempted to hold in his own laughter. "You're annoyingly cryptic, old man."

"I try."

"You two done just hanging there, or are you ready to get out of here?"

The two of them turned towards the door to see Lee Christmas standing there, smirking and twirling a knife in his hand.

"Would you just cut us down please, Christmas?"

"Yeah, yeah, then we can get out quickly and quietly. Drummer's running interference for us."

Jacoba rubbed her wrists as she looked at the boys. "Well, then let's go."
