Prompt: "Will you be quiet!?"
"I didn't say anything!"
"Well stop thinking so loud!"
For Jacoba, it had just been one of those days. She had been talked into doing research on a few potential clients by Barney a few days ago. So, she had finally gotten around to doing so this morning. In fact, she had been researching them since very early this morning, causing the beginnings of a headache to form, since she had yet to take a break.
About ten minutes ago, she had felt a presence come up next to her, but they didn't announce themselves. This allowed her to successfully ignored them. That, unfortunately for them, had only lasted until now, when she began to become frustrated with this person. This was Jacoba's area of the hanger (she'd picked the desk and everything) and she sure as hell wasn't going to let whoever it was get in the way of the peace that she'd created for the space by invading the area. Without looking up, she snapped at them. "Will you be quiet!?"
"I didn't say anything!"
Jacoba glared up at Gunnar, who had been the one to respond, and deepened her frown while furrowing her brows. "Well, stop thinking so loud then!"
Gunnar frowned back at her, a look of confusion starting to form under his frown. "You alright there, woman?"
She growled as she stood and leaned towards him. "I'm not joking, Viking. Leave me alone!"
Gunnar held his hands up in a surrendering gesture, backing up slightly and keeping one of his eyebrows raised. "Whoa, there, Amazon. I meant no harm. You just seem like you aren't feeling well. Yeah, you usually snap at me, but this just seemed to be a bit more than that. Just saying!"
Jacoba scrunched up her nose and stood straight again, putting a hand to her hand as her headache began to pound against her temple. A hand gently gripped her elbow and guided her to sit back down. Turning to face Gunnar again, she sighed and hung her head. "So, I may have started researching very early this morning, since I couldn't sleep. And I may have forgotten to take breaks."
This caused Gunnar to smirk and shake his head at her. "Alright, how about you put your head down on the desk and I go get you something to eat?"
He didn't even wait for an answer before he was headed to the hanger's kitchen. Jacoba couldn't stop her smirk. Maybe Gunnar wasn't so bad after all.
