Yay, it's another interlude!
This is a prelude a bit for the prompt I entitled Shirt Blood. I should have just posted that one. If I plan it all out correctly.
The legalities: I do not own any of the Expendables franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au.Rated M just to be on the safe side.
Also, please don't be afraid to write reviews. I would love to hear from you all!
Hope you enjoy!
"Seriously, J.D., you need to stop hitting your head on things."
Jacoba rolled her eyes as she kept her head leaned back in the hope of stopping her darn nose bleed. Truthfully, she almost couldn't believe how she kept getting into these situations.
The day before, she had gone with Barney and Lee to scout out their next mission and they didn't get back until late. So, she had opted to stay in her old room above Tool's rather than going to her new apartment. But insomnia had, once again, hit her, causing her to decide to use the punching bag downstairs to blow off some stream.
She was still at it when Lee and Gunnar had walked in hours later. While they had noticed her, Jacoba was hyper focused and hadn't acknowledged them. So, Gunnar had come up behind her and said something, causing her to jump and turn, throwing a punch to his nose. Being so startled, she momentarily forgot about the punching bag, until it hit her back, pitching her forward and ramming her own nose into Gunnar's chest. Now they had matching bloody noses.
Glancing at Lee out of the corner of her eye, Jacoba pouted a little. "You know, it's not my fault the lot of you are built like Mack Trucks." She strategically ignored Gunnar's chuckles as she began to lean her head forward again. "So, Christmas, what's the verdict?"
Moving her head from side to side while holding her chin, Lee nodded and handed her a wipe for the blood. "It looks to be done. Just be careful for a while."
Jacoba smirked as she wiped around her nose. She was about to say something when her eyes caught the clock on the wall and went comically wide. "Shit! I'm late to meet Lacey." And she hightailed it out of there, tossing the wipe, but not checking her clothes for any spots of blood.
Lee just shook his head as he went to help Gunnar. "That woman needs some major help."
