This story was requested/suggested by a friend of mine who is not on the site. It will include an idea we've been discussing that he thought I was going to turn into a FanFiction originally. I hadn't planned on putting it on the site, as it was just something we were talking about for fun, but my twisted mind has given birth to some new Numbers Over One Hundred, which will be appearing in this story. Enjoy.

"Our ambition should be to rule ourselves, the true kingdom for each one of us; and true purpose is to know more, and be more, and to do more."

Barian Heirs

(Castle, unknown location, many years ago)

In the depths of an ancient castle, seven figures sat on thrones, their eyes closed in concentration. Focusing on their task, they all began to vanish one by one, their thrones vanishing as well, while four additional figures watched, ready to fulfill their roles. As they bowed their heads, the light from the candles in the room revealed their features; a bearded male figure with pale blue skin, a figure garbed in the armor of a knight with hair covering their left eye, a small raccoon-like creature, and a robed old man, all focused on fulfilling their duties.

(Japan, small city of Usaka)

A man with long blond hair stood up from the crater he had been lying in, and looked around at his surroundings. Taking it all in, he departed, searching for what he had come for.

"Long ago, we the seven emperors appeared in a world of chaos, bringing order and forming a society in the world."

(Japan, mountain village)

A muscular man with green hair in the shape of a mohawk rose up, setting off to fulfill his role.

"We swore to uphold this new world of ours, and keep its denizens safe."

(Japan, distant farm)

A man with long wave hair covering one eye stepped away from the crater he'd risen from, beginning his search.

"We proved our might, taming seven legendary beings to use against our enemies."

(Japan, small village)

A man with orange hair and a jacket stood up from the crater, and stepped out, his purpose on his mind.

"It was then that we came to understand a horrible truth."

(Japan, small cabin)

A man watched as his wife gave birth to a daughter, smiling in joy.

"We could not protect our world forever."

(Japan, unknown location)

The head of a clan watched as his son was born, pride in his eyes.

"We realized what we needed to do to preserve our world's future."

(Japan, Asakusa)

A man waited in a hospital as his wife was giving birth, brought in to see his son, joy overflowing from his heart.

"We needed to have heirs to replace us when the time was right."

(Japan, Usaka, one year later)

The man with blond hair approached his wife, and told her, "It's time, Mira. I have to leave." As she softly cried, he comforted her. "We both knew this day would come. All I ask is that you protect them until their time comes." Taking something out of his pocket, he put it in her hands, and said, "When the boy is old enough, please give him this. It will act as a guide to protect him from the beings who would hunt him." Mira nodded. "I will, Mizael." He kissed her forehead, and left, saying, "Goodbye, Mira. I will always love you."

"You humans, who think you're the only beings in the universe: your arrogance and hubris will be your undoing. The world you call Earth has been targeted by an ancient evil, brought on by some of your own kind. Your survival now hangs in the balace, as man and demon fight in the shadows, locked in a neverending war. We ask you, are you prepared to do what is necessary to save your world, or will it burn to ashed? What is meant to be comes about from what one does. Will our heirs aid you? Or will they allow your destruction? Only time will tell."
