Every 10 years, a tournament is held in the outskirts of China. The warrior who wins ten tournaments in a row decides the outcome of the world. A very long time ago, a former earthrealm fighter betrayed us. Shang Tsung, an evil sorcerer who serves the emperor of outworld. After he won 9 tournaments in a row, he was beaten by Kung Lao just as he was going to take over the world. That following tournament, the sorcerer would bring out a most dangerous being: Goro, the prince of the shokan, would kill the dearly beloved Kung Lao. Goro has given the emperor 9 wins in a row, and now it's up to a new generation of fighters to determine the fate of our world as they compete in Mortal Kombat.

- Lord Raiden

Just another day in the life of famous actor and martial artist Johnny Cage.

It's 7:47 PM in Los Angeles, California, and Johnny is busy filming another box office smash in a Surround Productions film studio. Also starring actress and martial artist Mya Taylor, Caged Rage is set to come out next year in January.

Tonight, Johnny and the crew are filming the climax. The scene begins with Johnny, walking into a bar with sunglasses and a leather jacket. He heads towards the counter which has 3 guys seated and a bartender. For reasons you'll understand when Caged Rage is released, all of them want to pick a fight.

"You're a dead man." The bartender says to Johnny. "I'm gonna put your head on display." The bartender leers from the other side of the counter.

The other three guys get up and want to fight too. Johnny takes off his sunglasses and jacket and puts them to the side. "Let's dance." He says, as the bartender throws the first punch and is countered. Other people in attendance, including Mya Taylor's character, watch the events unfold.

Johnny beats the crap out of the bartender. Once he is done, the other three guys circle him with brass knuckles and bats. One gets a roundhouse kick to the head, and the other gets punched in the balls. The bartender gets back up, wanting some more, but he is shoved to the side after being hit with the almighty Shadow Kick.

"You got Caged!" Johnny proclaims, with all of them scattered about the bar (technically just the set). After this, the scene is done being filmed. "Cut!" The director yells. "Good job. You're all dismissed." Shooting is done for tonight. "Perfect." says Johnny. On her way out, Mya stopped to talk.

"Well, Johnny." She said. Johnny was pooped out from shooting. "How you holding up?" He asked. "That was only take 157!" Johnny exaggerated. Truthfully, the scene only took 5 takes so that they could perfect the shot of Johnny taking his sunglasses off.

"Yep. 157 takes." Mya replied, unenthusiastically. While Johnny was busy checking out Mya, her blonde hair and biker clothes and all, the director came by to speak well to them. "Johnny! That was badass! This ones gonna be nothing short of another blockbuster!" The director cheered on. Johnny was used to hearing stuff like that by this point. "Yep. Another blockbuster." Johnny said.

They had also worked together on the Cage Chronicles series and are contracted to make another movie along the line. "Absolutely! Now, we'll see you tomorrow." The director said as he walked off set. Johnny waved goodbye. Just as he left, he quickly became cynical.

"Another blockbuster... we'll be lucky if not a box office bomb." Johnny said as he walked towards the locker rooms. Mya started to follow him. "There are worse things in life than losing at the box office." Mya told him. "After all, you'll get profits from the blu-ray and streaming sales. This movie is likely gonna be another Citizen Cage."

He knew. "People sure do love to eat this stuff up." Johnny said. "Yeah, especially all of the YouTubers who cover you." Mya replied. Johnny laughed cynically. "Kinda like what I just got on my phone now." He pulled out his phone and showed Mya. In his notification center, the first thing was a notification from YouTube:

John Boon uploaded: Proof Johnny Cage is a fake

"This stuff.. funny but annoying as hell." Johnny said, finding humor in this bullshit. Mya had already seen the video, and so had many Johnny Cage fans who were all pissed off and disliked the video. Also left some mean comments. All the video showcases is footage of one of Johnny Cage's stunt doubles pulling off the shadow kick, shot from a far angle, which renders this claim as false.

Mya reasoned with Johnny. "The footage isn't even of you." She said. You could tell by the time of Johnny's voice that shit set him off. "I'm going to change things up soon. I love to do these movies, but the last few have been pretty nuts." He said.

"The Cage Chronicles is a favorite of mine." Mya added. Johnny nodded. "Well anyway, after this I'm going back to Turbo Force." She said. Both her and Johnny are part of this Power Ranger show, and it also features Johnny's brother Jimmy. "That's been... well, something alright. Have fun." Johnny told Mya. He is currently on a break from Turbo Force.

"Thank you, Johnny." Mya replied. Johnny was on his way off set. "It's been interesting today. I'm going home, and I'm gonna have a beer." Johnny told her. While he said "a beer", he meant like 3 or 4 and a pepperoni pizza. Mya said goodbye, and left the set. She headed back to her house. Johnny went to the locker room, put on his snazzy clothes, and left the Surround Productions film studio for the night.

Every night after filming, Johnny would walk from the studio, near an alleyway, back to his house. People would always walk through the alley and cross paths with Johnny, and it was always a fun little meet and greet for unsuspecting fans.

This time, however, he got even more than he could have ever bargained for. This is the precursor to something that would change his life forever.

On his walk home, once he had met the alleyway, he was surprised from behind behind a fan. "Johnny!" The fan said, with giddy excitement. He jumped a little, and turned around to see a female fan. She had black hair tied up in a knot, a black skirt, high heel biker boots, and a tan trenchcoat that didn't quite touch the ground. Also, this woman was covering up part of her face with a glittery neck gaiter.

Johnny couldn't help but check her out as she approached him. He said hello. "I'm like your biggest fan!" She said, and hugged him. Johnny played it cool. "Oh, are ya?" He replied, awkwardly. "Yeah, Teen Wolf is a masterpiece!" The woman said, again, with giddy excitement. "Umm... wrong guy, hon." Johnny corrected the fan.

Even though Teen Wolf is a great movie, it in fact does not star Johnny Cage. It stars Michael J. Fox. Or, maybe she was referring to the show? Who knows. The fan quickly corrected herself. "Oh... umm, well Citizen Cage is timeless." She continued. This would not be the first time Johnny would have heard that. Citizen Cage is his best movie of all time. "Yeah, y'all seem to like that one. I appreciate it."

This lady was here talking to Johnny within reason. She is looking for the best martial artists in town. So she was trying to entertain Johnny enough to make him interested. She got real close to Johnny, opened up her trenchcoat and exposed herself. Almost completely topless, nothing but a bra. Pedestrians walking by glanced over wondering what the hell they were doing, and Johnny shot them a weirded out look. Even though he did, he was rather amused. "Wow.. uhh.. I mean, what's this for?" Johnny wondered.

The fan stroked his cheek, which resulted in Johnny turning red. But as aroused as he was, he was very confused as to what this was about. "Okay, this is hot. But, who are you?" Johnny asked, as she never had mentioned her name or anything. She did not identify herself, but she began to explain what she needed him for. "Johnny Cage. Papers and articles are always saying you're fake." She started up. Johnny went from having a laid back tone of expression to an irritated one. "Oh, please. Did you enjoy John Boon's video about me? My greatest fans know I'm the real deal." He replied.

The woman recalled information she had been given about Johnny, passed down from people he'd worked with before. "It does worry you a little bit." She said. Johnny denied this. "No, ma'am." He replied. "Okay, that's always good. However, allow me to propose a great opportunity for you." The woman said, as she reached into her trenchcoat. "Whatcha got?" Johnny asked.

He got busy looking at her reach around inside her trenchcoat, then she realized it wasn't there. She pulled out the ancient scroll from her pocket and gave it to Johnny. "What's this?" He asked.

"Information regarding Mortal Kombat."

She replied. Johnny looked at the scroll. A lot of it was all in some foreign language, chinese maybe? Some of it he could understand. "Mortal Kombat, with a K. What is it?" He asked. "A fighting tournament, held once a generation." The woman explained. "The tournament only allows the best of the best. You are invited."

Johnny had some reasonable suspicions. Some woman, some near topless woman in a trenchcoat with a face covering who just tried to get busy with him, is inviting him to a fighting tournament.

"A fighting tournament, huh?" Johnny asked. "You have till' Monday to decide. In anticipation that we will see you there, the boat leaves at 10:00 PM. Good luck to you, Johnny." The woman said to Johnny, as she began to head into the alleyway. "Seriously woman, who are you?" Johnny asked. For reasons unknown, she chose not to tell him who she really was. "Your biggest fan." She replied. Johnny laughed. "Well yes, obviously." He said. "See ya." The woman said, and disappeared into the alleyway.

Johnny continued to check her out as she walked into the alley. "Man.. that wasn't even a little hot. Not one little bit." He thought to himself, sarcastically. He looked at the ancient scroll, put it in his back pocket and went home. The woman walked out of Johnny's sight, and took off her glittery mask, revealing her monsterous, razor sharp teeth.

This mystery woman in a trenchcoat is none other than Princess Mileena. She was sent from Outworld to find the best fighters possible for the tournament. Johnny Cage just so happened to fall in this category. Y'know, he's only been inspiring others since he was 18 years old. Mileena, alongside her sister Kitana, will be present at the tournament.

So, while Johnny Cage is busy drinking his beers and eating his pepperoni pizza, another event is transpiring elsewhere and it's all thanks to the leader of the Black Dragon Clan: Kano. He and the other members of his clan are wanted by Special Forces for the many crimes they've committed, which include the deaths of soldiers.

Earlier today, he got caught by Jax Briggs and Sonya Blade on his way to a Subway. From there, he booked it and they've been chasing him for the last 5 hours. Sonya is currently chasing him in the streets and talking to Jax via wrist communicator.

"There he goes! Right next to the Hornbuckle fried chicken palace!" Jax says to Sonya over the watch, observing from the corner of the street. "I see him, he just ran down the alley. I'm gonna get him." Sonya replied, as she headed down the alley. After she got further down, suddenly everything became dark and quiet. "I know you're back here, Kano! Get out here!"

Sonya looked everywhere until she spotted a glowing red light in the distance, which she thought to be Kano's cybernetic eye. "I know that red light from a country mile." She said to herself and went further into the alley. Once she got closer, she came to the discovery that it was not Kano. It was a crash test dummy with a red beam coming out of his eye. Kano got her good.

"Ugh! Dammit, Kano!"

Sonya was about to turn around and report back to Jax, but then she heard a familiar voice right behind her. "Quite hectic, isn't it?" Kano commented about his trick, seeing that he had fooled Sonya for a few seconds. He tried to kill her right then and there via stabbing, but she quickly turned around and countered his attack. After she knocked the blade out of his hand, she forced him to the ground.

"Guess not." Kano continued. Sonya pulled out some handcuffs. "I'm taking you in." She told him. "You're taking me on a date?" Kano fired back. Just as she was about to cuff and detain him, a loud smashing sound was heard way in the distance which caught Sonya off guard. Jax tuned in on the watch. "Sonya! Get out here, we've got a situation!"

Kano had another trick up his sleeve. "Sounds like my friend came out to play." He told Sonya, as she cuffed him and hauled him out of the alley. "We're gonna take care of that, too." Sonya returned to Jax at the street with Kano. "You got him. How 'bout we shift our focus elsewhere?" Jax said, and Sonya held onto Kano and turned around. She turned around to see a large brown ninja standing in the middle of the street starring them down. None other than Tremor, another member of the Black Dragon Clan. He has elemental abilities that he can use to create a mountain or a boulder anywhere he'd like, so what they had in store was not going to be good.

"Holy fuck." Sonya said, and Jax thought to himself, probably. "My friend came out to play. Good ol' Tremor." Kano said. This would not be the first time Jax had seen Tremor. Hell, he kicked his ass the first time, along with the rest of the Black Dragon. Most of Kano's clan are all currently in prison, but not Tremor. He's turned the crank past 11 this time.

"I know this guy. He's another black dragon. One of the few who are still wanted." Jax told Sonya, as Tremor continued to stare at them. "General Blade." He addressed Sonya. She cuffed Kano to a nearby lamp post so he didn't run off. "You're talking to me, Tremor?" She asked, as she approached him.

"Tonight, you die." Tremor said. With his elemental abilities, he created a rock in his hand and threw it at Sonya's abdomen, knocking her to the ground. She quickly got up and threw everything at him. Energy rings, bullets, all of it just bounced off of him as he turned himself gold. Once Sonya had stopped for a second, Tremor pushed her into the alley.

Once again, with his elemental powers, he tried to close the walls in on Sonya. He managed to touch her with both of the brick walls but Jax stopped him from crushing her. "Not today, Rocky!" He said as he punched him in the chest. The punch barely made a dent. Tremor laughed at Jax and threw an overhead blow. Once he had taken care of Jax for the moment, he ran over to Kano who was cuffed to the lamp post.

Sonya squirmed out of the walls and rushed over to Jax. "I'm okay, just a little dent." He said. They quickly noticed that Tremor had broken Kano loose. "What do you think you're doing?!" Jax asked, approaching them. As Jax made his way towards them, Kano threw his knife at him. Fortunately for Jax, it missed him and hit the wall behind him. Him and Sonya Drew their weapons as Tremor again stared them down in the road. He laughed menacingly, as he formed an enormous boulder in his hands.

"Drop it." Sonya demanded. He ignored her and made it street size. Jax and Sonya shoot at him with machine guns, but Tremor turned gold again and the bullets deflected off of him. He threw the boulder in the air, and it came rolling down towards them. Raiders of The Lost Ark style. Jax and Sonya ran as fast as they could, down the downhill street. They yelled at the oncoming pedestrians. "Everyone gotta move!" Jax yelled. They made it halfway down the street once Tremor decided to do something else.

"Lose 'em." Kano told Tremor, who crumpled up the boulder into debris. Sonya and Jax now had several rocks headed towards them. They ran faster, pushing people out of the way in the process. Eventually, they made it to the bottom of the street which led to a quarry. Sonya and Jax hid in the quarry as all of the rocks crashed in it. It was a very dusty mess, as one would assume. Kano and Tremor ran to the rooftops and observed all the chaos below. Vehicles, street signs and people everywhere. They assumed that the debris killed Sonya and Jax in the quarry at the bottom.

"They're dead." Tremor said, observing the destruction. "Dead as a dog." Kano replied. "Let's get out of here." The two left the city to avoid being caught. They were thought to have been killed, but Sonya and Jax were just hiding in the quarry.

They got out and observed the wreckage in front of them. The streets were filled with injured and dead people, demolished vehicles and other pieces of the city. Sonya looked around in the distance for Kano and Tremor. "They're both gone." She said. "Think we'd better call Stryker."

Jax said, referring to a police officer that he knew. "We're gonna get them." Sonya insisted.

They alerted 911, but they had already been informed of the disaster. Sonya and Jax, along with police officers and firemen, eventually found all of the survivors throughout the gory devastation. It was a 50/50 rate. Many survived, although many did not. Due to the damages, Mid-Way ST is currently closed off.

The incident made headlines almost immediately after. It was on the news.

As a matter of fact, over at his house, Johnny Cage was watching this story unfold on the news while he ate pepperoni pizza and drank beer with his orange cat Goldie sitting on the arm of his chair. The news does not know anything about who was behind this mess, as Kano and Tremor drove off to a private hangar. They have reason to be in Hong Kong, China, so they will be flying off soon. That reason being they will both participate in the next Mortal Kombat tournament.

The next day was a seemingly normal day for Johnny, who was off to film the last scene of Caged Rage. Sonya and Jax were busy looking for Kano and Tremor as early as 5:00 AM. Now we will travel countries away to China in order to meet two skilled warriors of the Shaolin lineage. Generations ago, the Shaolin saved the world. Their victory in Mortal Kombat would be futile, however, as Outworld won the following tournament 10 years later. Not a victory since. For 90 years, the Shaolin have been creating a warrior who will save the world once again, as Outworld is on the verge of victory. Who could this warrior possibly be?

Outside a 5000 year old Shaolin temple, warriors Liu Kang and Kung Lao are testing each others skill. They train, and everyday they train harder than the last. They always set up lots of equipment to practice with. This time around, one of them set up a punching dummy. As he approached Kung Lao, Liu Kang hit a flying kick on the punching dummy and knocked it over. He looked over at his opponent.

"Show me what you can do." Liu insisted.

From there, Kung Lao attempted his klassic hat trick. He tossed his bladed buckler hat towards Liu Kang, to which it flew around him. It goes without saying, usually they don't play safe. Kung Lao grabbed his hat, and then he put it back on. He and Liu Kang began throwing punches at each other. Once he had lost that particular stage of punches, Kung Lao again threw his hat at Liu, to which it flew around him and back onto Lao's head, boomerang style.

"This hat is a gift from the gods." Kung Lao taunted, as he threw his hat for a third time. This time, Liu Kang ducked and the hat missed him. Ducking, he tossed a dragon fireball at Lao which knocked him to the ground. He was still very determined after being hit with a fireball. "Is that all you got?" Kung Lao asked. Liu Kang stood up and tossed another fireball at the punching dummy, which incinerated it. "Absolutely not."

Liu Kang helped up Kung Lao, and they got into position to start over.

Once they got into their fighting stance, the thunder god approached them. "Testing your skill, are you, Shaolin warriors?" asked Lord Raiden. He had come to the temple to see if the Shaolin had yet produced a warrior worthy enough. "Lord Raiden." Kung Lao bowed to Raiden. "Hello." said Liu Kang, as he did the same. "I see that you warriors are gifted with great power." said Raiden, seeing the possibilities in both warriors.

"We are practicing, Lord Raiden." Liu Kang replied. "I tell you what. Why don't you show me what you've learned? Kung Lao." Raiden said, as Kung Lao came towards him. The name sounded familiar. "I knew a Kung Lao once." Raiden told Lao. "My ancestor?" He assumed. "Yes, exactly. Can you live up to his name? Test your skill, Kung Lao." Raiden said, challenging him, and they began.

Kung Lao tossed his hat at Raiden, who caught it and kicked him over. The thunder god smiled at him. "Stunning." He said. "You think?" Lao replied. The thunder god had a flashback of his ancestor. He recalled the times that The Great Kung Lao let his determination get the best of him. "Do you know how your ancestor died?" Raiden asked. "My ancestor died at a fighting tournament, held once a generation." Kung Lao replied. "Your ancestor died in Mortal Kombat." Raiden added. "The great Kung Lao beat the sorcerer Shang Tsung, just as outworld was winning. Ten years later, Prince Goro killed him." He continued.

"I know, Raiden." Kung Lao replied. "You need to keep practicing. Keep improving. Your ancestor would want that. I want to see that." Raiden said. "Yes, Lord Raiden." Kung Lao said, disappointed. He stepped aside. "Liu Kang." Raiden addressed Liu Kang, who came before him. Before they could even begin the challenge, Raiden sensed something greater in Liu Kang than he did Kung Lao. "Hit me with your best shot." He said, challenging Liu Kang.

They got into their fighting stances.

Liu Kang hit the flying kick and threw a high dragon fireball at Raiden, knocking him to the ground. Kung Lao couldn't even touch him, but he couldn't even lay a finger on Liu Kang. He won the challenge.

Raiden teleported behind Liu Kang. "Excellent. Excellent, Liu Kang. Maybe you are next in line." He told him. "What are you saying?" Liu Kang asked. "You could be next in line to represent the Shaolin at this coming tournament." Raiden continued. "Tomorrow, Liu Kang, the boat leaves at 10 for Mortal Kombat."

Liu Kang was bewildered. "My.. have I really progressed this far? You think I should represent the Shaolin at the next Mortal Kombat tournament?" He asked Raiden, who simply nodded. "Only the best of warriors are permitted. You fall under this category. It is time for us to win again. What do you say, Liu Kang? Join us, the earthrealm team. Save the world." Raiden told him.

Liu thought about it for a second, and then accepted the invite from Raiden. "Count me in." They spent the rest of the day training, and they trained well into the night. While they were busy training, another warrior was up to his own thing in the Arctic. The Lin Kuei assassin clan may also hold a warrior worthwhile. As a Lin Kuei warrior, you constantly watch people die. No one leaves the clan without being marked for death, but some warriors still try to escape. This was the case for the one called Talbot.

He was a Lin Kuei warrior who carried out many of the grandmaster's orders successfully. He'd kill whoever, he'd do whatever, Talbot was a very loyal Lin Kuei warrior who served alongside Sektor, Cyrax and of course, Sub-Zero. Very loyal, that is, until the grandmaster's put something called The Cyber Initiative into effect. This is the name of a program instigated by the Lin Kuei clan of assassins with the intention of transforming their warriors into cyborgs, against their will. Some will go willingly, and others will die trying to escape.

Talbot, however, was too much for even the Lin Kuei. If his programming were to go wrong, this could result in the deaths of many warriors. There was only one option.

Sub-Zero was called into the grandmaster's lair located at the top of the Lin Kuei temple to kill Talbot, and indeed he did. He froze him to the ground and ripped his head off his body will his spine attached. Of course, he was executed right in front of the grandmaster.

The Lin Kuei Grandmaster always enjoyed Sub-Zero doing what he did best.

"Talbot has been disposed of." The grandmaster pointed out the obvious as Sub-Zero dropped his spine on the ground. "Sub-Zero, listen closely. I have new instruction for you." The grandmaster began. "What is the task, grandmaster?" Sub-Zero asked.

You are one of our highest ranking warriors. The finest of the Lin Kuei." The grandmaster explained. "So you shall take this opportunity to represent us. Tomorrow, you shall attend the 20th Mortal Kombat tournament, which takes place on sorcerer Shang Tsung's island."

He continued. Sub-Zero nodded yes. "Fight in the tournament, but ultimately, your mission is to kill Shang Tsung. He and his forces have killed too many Lin Kuei warriors over the past hundred years. The boat leaves tomorrow. Do not miss this opportunity to eliminate the sorcerer."

Sub-Zero bowed to the grandmaster. "Shang Tsung will die, grandmaster. He will." He said, as he walked out of the lair. He headed to find his younger brother Kuai-Liang, codenamed Tundra. They had to discuss some business. He found his brother on the balcony nearby, warming up. "Tundra." Sub-Zero addressed his brother. "Brother." Tundra said, as they tossed ice projectiles at each other and froze up.

They both fell over and thawed out. "Double ice backfire." Sub-Zero joked with his brother. "Are you going to join us tonight to train?" Tundra asked. "I might. I've got some news." Sub-Zero continued. "What is it?" His brother asked. "I have been selected to fight at the Mortal Kombat tournament." Sub-Zero revealed to his brother. Tundra had overheard other Lin Kuei warriors discussing the upcoming tournament. "and so have Sektor and Cyrax." Tundra added. "Hydro too."

Sub-Zero is a very cold hearted individual. He does not question the morality of the Lin Kuei, and he will kill you if you are a threat to his clan and warriors or if the grandmaster tells him to. This time, however, the grandmaster has made a decision that neither he or his brother are onboard with. But if it gets out, they're doomed. "I killed Talbot. He tried to leave the Lin Kuei. He was brought to the grandmaster's lair, and I ripped his head off." Sub-Zero mentioned. "That's how it goes." Tundra said. "Because he would not submit." Sub-Zero checked for nearby warriors, and once he knew there were none, he spoke against the cyber initiative. "To hell with the cyber initiative. They will not turn me, and they will not turn you."

Tundra referred to things he overheard. "Sektor is willingly converting himself." He added. "He is foolish. I serve the Lin Kuei, but I will not give up my free will." Sub-Zero replied. "We will leave if we must." Tundra continued. "Don't let them turn you while I'm gone." Sub-Zero told his brother, sternly. The two bowed to each other, and Tundra went back into the temple.

Sub-Zero stayed outside. While he was out on the balcony, enjoying the view. He was feeling very peaceful for the moment, when suddenly, someone popped out of the ground behind him. It was a typical encounter with Scorpion, the leader of the inactive Sharai Ryu ninja clan.

Scorpion is the alias of a man named Hanzo Hasashi. He had a wife and he had a son, along with hundreds of ninjas fighting at his side. His entire clan was irradicated and his wife and son were murdered by the sorcerer Quan Chi, but while he slayed all the ninjas, he was disguised as Sub-Zero through the power of sorcerery. Not only that, but he killed Hanzo as well, who's soul would plummet into The Netherrealm; one of the many plains of hell.

After resisting the servants and demons of hell, Hanzo would come face to face with Quan Chi, who would return him to earth on a quest for revenge. His mission is to kill Sub-Zero, having thought to have killed his clan and family, but it was actually Quan Chi who murdered them all. The real Sub-Zero is aware of this, and wants to make peace with Scorpion, but he won't listen. He still won't listen. So therefore, they're fighting for like the 5th time over the course of many years.

"Scorpion." Sub-Zero addressed his arch rival. Scorpion got into his fighting stance. "You will die, Sub-Zero!" He yelled. Sub-Zero got into his fighting stance as well. "Okay." He replied, as Scorpion speared him off of the balcony. They fell several stories to the ground and upon landing, were both knocked out from the impact. Sub-Zero and Scorpion lied unconsciously on the ground. They stayed there well into the next morning. Once Sub-Zero recovered, he noticed that Scorpion was nowhere to be found. He must have teleported away, he thought.
