Once again Class 1-a found themselves training in order to perfect their routine for the cultural festival. It was early in the morning when everyone was woken up by an enthusiastic Momo and Iida surprising the class with another day full of practice.
The whole class was determined to perfect the performence in order to bring smiles to the other students at U.A. So besides feeling exhausted from the previous nights late practice they all pushed themselves out of bed.
It took less than thirty minutes for all twenty students to be lined up in the gym equiped for practice and waiting instruction.
Momo and Iida both took turns reading out the plan that they had made for the practice. They ended up having to repeat themselves several times before the tired crowd understood what they'd be doing.
Honestly Midoriya himself had been zoned out until it got to his part, he would be practicing his little begining bit of dancing and working on rushing out in time to help with the props.
While it wasn't too complicated it did require him to quickly run off stage so he could hold the rope in time. It was going to also be there first time putting all his pieces together in practice- so he was honestly hoping he could just pull it off.
It didn't seem too difficult but it would require him to do everything just right.
Due to his tired state him and his other classmates didn't think about the fact that making him practice the quick change for the first time while also experimenting on what quirks and moves would be the best to wow the crowd wasn't the best idea.
Luckily at least one person seemed to be awake enough to pull out the safety net they had been using to practice the moves in case anything went south.
Unluckily no one seemed to remember that during the last practice they had torn a giant hole in the middle of that same safety net.
They also all seemed to forget the lecture that had been stressed again and again about them not pushing themselves too far and how working while exhausted was a danger they should be cautious of. Not one of them seemed to remember the words about how they should only work exhausted if absolutley necessary and that again pushing themselves too far was dangerous.
The repeated lectures they had over that excact matter seemed to flee all of their minds in their determanation to pull this off.
So of course they had hardly been sleeping for the past week and were all about ten seconds and one push away from kneeling over and taking a nap on the cold floor of the gym.
At first things were going well enough, they were all managing to somewhat pull off their responsibilities.
Of course that all changed when it was time for Midoriya to pull off his quick change in jobs. He managed to pull off something that was close enough to his dance moves before rushing off the stage.
Of course things went wrong as soon as he ran up to the ceiling beams. Later while trying to explain what happened to their teachers and an angry nurse they'd realize that the whole incident happened due to a little sliver of ice that was accidentlly left behind when they were trying to see how they coulld use Todoroki's ice to their advantage.
It was only the tiniest sample of ice that was left over but it just so happened to have been left exactly where Midoriya was supposed to push off of. So when said boy was supposed to push off of the little edge he ended up slipping and plummiting down.
He also happened to have the rope in his hand unknowingly causing all of the people involved to be effected when a swinging Aoyama hit just about every classmate as the rope started to spiral out of control.
"Watch out!" Was the only warning most of them got as they ducked for cover, watching as Midoriya plummeted into the safety net...
Only he didn't land in the safety net like everyone assumed he would- remember that hole in the net that the class all conveniently forgot about from the previous day.
Yup, it was placed directly under where Midoriya went falling down.
So instead of being caught by the net he sunk right into the hole head first. His classmates watched in horror as Midoriya slipped down the safety net, listening to the loud crack that filled the room as his head made contact with the floor.
It took about ten seconds of everyone but a still swinging Aoyama, staying frozen in their shock and horror for Midoriya to get up.
At his sudden movment the rest of the class rushed towards the boy just as he reached up and swiped at his head. By the time the whole class was gathered around Midoriya was checking out the blood that drenched his hand.
"Are you okay Deku?!" Uraraka shouted in concern.
The rest of the class pitched in their worry as well before being silenced by a stern Iida.
"Are you aright, Midoriya? I believe we should call in Recovery Girl!" Iida ordered from the person closest to him who just so happened to be a very confused.
"Hmm..." Was the only reply they got from Midoriya as he slwoly lifted his head and looked around.
Gasps filled the room as they caught sight of the giant gash across his forehead.
"Hmmm... at least we know... that Toga hasn't infiltraded the school..." Midoriya mumbled out.
"What..?" Momo asked on behalf of the rest of the class.
"Yeah... if one of you were replaced by... Toga.. t-then you-she... would be swooning all over... my blood." Midoriya replied sounding far too out of it.
Silence filled the air until Kamanari finally obeyed the class presidents previous order to call for help.
"Hello, yes sensei! I know... um I think we need Recovery Girl... umm... no... yeah... you're right it's Midoriya... he ummm.. fell? And... um yeah... i think.. he um... needs medical help... you'd probably be better off seeing it in person? Okay.. yup... bye..."
"Um.. he said that he's on his way with help?" Kamanari said to the rest of the class.
The class stood and watched as Midoriya continued to rant on about Toga and her blood obsession and the relation of it to her quirk.
"So, Mido-bro how are you feeling? How many fingers am I holding up?" Kirishima asked holding up three fingers directly in front of Midoriya's face.
The boy seemed to stare at Kirishima's fingers as if his life depended on it a little too long before answering in a completly serious if not a little proud voice,
"Eighty! Eighty, fingers!"
After that the class forced Midoriya to sit on the ground until the teachers arrived to deal with him.
Hours later once the class had cleaned up the mess in the gym and Midoriya had been released as good as new from Recovery Girl they were forced to listen to Aizawa-sensei ramble on about being sleep deprived idiots until the whole class passed out in their desks from exhaustion.
