He... He couldn't see the person talking to him. Or was it a person? He didn't know. All he knew was that he had no idea of what was going on... He wished he could see the person who was trying to contact him.
Then she appeared. A goddess, with only mist covering her physical body. It was a thick fog, so Norioki could not see anything. But, why wasn't she clothed. He wanted to ask.
"My head hurts... Where am I? Why don't you have any clothes? Why is the sky white?"
Norioki rambled as he held his head. His eyes had a sort of godly insigne in them. It was an ability. He had created the ability to see the one goddess in front of him.
"What? Wait-! I didn't give you that ability when I reincarnated your soul here! Why can you see me?" The goddess said, with the embarrassment on her face, as she snapped her fingers, instantly materializing an outfit. A dress that would make him think she was some sort of Ice Queen.
"I theorized about this ability. The ability to create any ability that you wish you could have with just a thought... What a terrifying creature you could be. Maybe you could save this world from the foolish people and the ones who have lost their faith..." She rambled, not listening to any of his questions.
"What? I can create any skill or ability I want?" Norioki said, holding his hand up and imagining himself being able to blow apart everything in existence, and everything that could ever exist. Including the worlds of those, who if someone was writing the story, would be blown apart by his skill, transcending even the barrier between their reality and his. But nothing happened.
"I had that skill once, but I sacrificed it to defeat the Demon King, the man known as Tyrant Sauron, who also had it. I thought the skill was deleted from existence. It's called Absolute Creationism. The drawbacks are none, but the limitation is that I was not able cannot create or resurrect souls. Your wish for that power failed because of this one fatal flaw in the skill. I couldn't create something that would be able to withstand my power. Limitlessness, it is out of this skills reach. But your wish to be able to effortlessly dominate any foe, excluding the gods, could easily be fulfilled using Absolute Creationism. If your skill was MORE powerful than the one me and the Tyrant held, then maybe, but I wouldn't wanna entertain that idea."
"Wow. What an ability..." Norioki exclaimed.
"Indeed. I had thought it was gone after me and the Demon King sacrificed its power to banish each other to the skies and the underworld, respectively. Neither one of us can interfere in the affairs of mortals because of the barrier erected by Absolute Creationism's power that banished us. But, now that a wielder with that same skill exists, I'm not sure if that barrier will stay. I will send you to the mortal world shortly, Norioki. There, you will have to battle the Demon King if my theory proves correct. I hope the to-be husband of the goddess Midori will not perish versus him." The goddess said, revealing her name to be Midori.
"Say wha- I'm supposed to MARRY A GODDESS?!-" Norioki said, before being cut off by Midori sending him down to the "mortal realm"...
Norioki found himself in a peculiar dimly lit dark green forest. Still unconscious, the trees swung around back and forth with the wind, and the rain. The droplets of rain splashed around on the grass and especially on Norioki's face. As he was technically reincarnated into the lower mortal realm, the realm under the domain of the Goddess, Midori but above the Tyrant's demonic one. He was in the middle realm. From the surroundings it's gravity, precipitation and other characteristics were identical to earth's, except that the air here was very dense. Breathing it in felt almost like taking some sort of highly-addictive substance through the nose.
The air woke Norioki up, as if he was being choked out by the mere environment. But it made sense. His body wasn't used to this climate and hadn't been able to adapt at all to the dense air. His consciousness was slowly fading, as the magic-dense air in the verdant forest in front of him was rendering him unable to breathe. Thinking quickly, he summoned a ball of rainbow colored sparkling light from his hand, holding it up in the air and screaming the activation phrase of his godly skill with a roar that pierced the entire forest.
"ABSOLUTE CREATIONISM!"
Immediately, the entire forest was levelled in a huge explosion that spawned a mushroom cloud similar to that of a thermonuclear bomb, with its origin point being Norioki himself. Despite this, he emerged relatively unscathed, but also altered. His body was instantly altered into that of an older teenage boy with perfectly white hair and piercing red eyes, as if he had aged a few years and completely changed his genetic makeup. He had also materialized an intense source of potent magic production into his body, as if his new skill adapted him perfectly to the world he now found himself in.
"Interesting. I think I'll name this one 'Perfect Human'..." He thought to himself, as he stood around the levelled forest, observing the damage he had caused, before thinking about how to escape the scene of his destruction before anyone caught wind of what had happened. Just then, another skill was created automatically for him, as he had left Absolute Creationism active instead of deactivating it after making his Perfect Human skill. A copper chariot with two majestic black stallions materialized in front of him, with an old man holding onto the reins.
Norioki quickly deactivated his skill, the bright mark on his hand from activating the skill fading as it went back into dormancy. But, the chariot remained. The physical changes to his body that were caused by using Perfect Human also stayed. His skills and their effects don't disappear when his skill isn't being used, but he wasn't conjuring any more mushroom clouds. Maybe that was the real ability of Perfect Human? A final explosion-esque nuke?
He didn't ponder it. As soon as he got into the chariot, it instantly responded to his thoughts, teleporting him into a large city, before the chariot promptly disappeared. Leaving Norioki there, standing in an alleyway with no clothes on.
"Crap, I better make something quick before people see me like this! ABSOLUTE CREATIONISM!"
As he roared, his skill crest revealed itself again, glowing a bright sparkling rainbow in all directions, which made the alleyway he was in illuminate brightly before materializing a majestic black suit around him, which became skin-tight in alignment with his recently acquired and modestly lean and muscular physique to form a mysterious suit which was hard to see through, thus his identity was safe. Though, he quickly teleported again, using his chariot as it galloped into a teleportation portal that was another skill he made, instant conjure.
"Was alley #114 always this bright?" The inspector asked.
"I'm not sure, Miss Brodfeld. Whatever that made this place shine as bright as the gods seems to have departed." The guard said.
"Make an incident report. I want whoever that was behind that to explain a little more about that 'Absolute Creationism'." The inspector instructed.
"I will have this delivered to our police department shortly. Nothing escapes Gallia." The guard replied as he headed off.
"Nothing escapes Gallia..." The inspector worriedly said, as she walked off.
Gesischteteller hier! I hope you guys enjoy this little teaser. It's obviously not what I had hoped for, but I think that this will do, with all of the stuff that I have had to do these past few weeks, I hardly got anything done. But I have a decent idea of where to take this series, so stay tuned for that! I think you will love the next few chapters that I have roadmapped.
Gesischteteller, out!
