Thank God Chemistry is the only class I share with Li. We both agreed to pretend be a couple before the class begun, and as soon as it was over, each of us walked out of the classroom not saying anything else, focused on doing our daily stuff. Yet (I think this is going to become a recurring act), when classes are finally over and I'm at my locker, changing my shoes, Li's there, waiting for me.
"Can I walk you home?" he asks in such a polite way.
So I got no other option but to say yes.
Since we're supposed to be pretending we're dating, we walk out of school holding hands. Still, as soon as we're about two blocks away (and there's no one seeing us) we let go, although we still walk side by side, in a slow pace.
We finally arrive at my house, but we stay outside. I'm not that sure it's a good idea to invite him in.
"And now what?" I ask.
Li sits in the step that goes to my front door, and so, after doubting for a couple of seconds, I sit too, next to him.
"I think is best for us to review or plan. You know, before people start asking questions."
I nod.
"Okay."
"How did we started dating?" He asks.
"It occurred after we ran into each other at Penguin Park. You stayed a little bit longer to chat with me, and then we had an ice cream together."
Li snorts.
"Impossible." He says. "I was heading to Tomoyo's house that afternoon, remember?"
I frown.
"Well, that day, after you went to Daidouji's..." I hurry to correct my story. "-you just couldn't stop thinking about me, so as soon as she broke up with you, you asked me out.
Li thinks about it for a moment, but seems he doesn't find any flaw.
"I think we should also set some rules." I add, and as Li looks at me, visibly confused, I hurry to open my backpack and take out a notebook and a pen.
"You're gonna write it down?" He asks.
"I don't want to forget anything." I reply.
I place the notebook on my lap, and write at the very top of a page, in big letters: "CONTRACT".
"Are you for real?" Li snorts again, but I ignore him.
"We have kissed already." I say thinking out loud. "So…"
"So people would expect to see more."
I look at him, visibly surprised. People don't expect anything from me, but I had forgotten Li's a popular guy, and everybody's watching to whatever he does or says. Like as if he was famous or something.
"Well okay, but just don't overdo it." I say in a hurry, and fix my eye in my notebook, so not to blush. "Are you okay with a kiss a day?"
"Two." He jumps. "One in the morning, and one after class."
I nod, and write it down.
1. Li Syaoran is allowed to kiss Kinomoto Sakura twice a day: one before classes, and one after school.
"I think you should also let me grab your waist as we walk around."
I look at him, in utter shock.
"What?" He asks, innocently. "I did that with Tomoyo. I have a reputation to maintain…"
"In exchange, you'll come pick me up every morning."
Li laughs.
"Okay. And since I'm such a nice guy, I'll even walk you back, just like today."
Now it's my time to hold my laugh.
2. Li Syaoran is allowed to grab Kinomoto Sakura's waist as they walk along school corridors.
3. Li Syaoran will pick up Kinomoto Sakura every day and take her to school; he'll also escort her back home.
"Is there anything you want to add?" I ask as soon as I notice I've been the only one writing things down, and hurry to offer him my notebook and pen.
Li takes them both, thinks about it for a minute, and finally starts writing.
4. Kinomoto Sakura will go with Li Syaoran to at least one party, per month.
I frown: I'm not the type of girl who goes to parties, but still, I remain silent. Just as Li said, he has a reputation to maintain… I'll see later on how I can avoid it.
6. Kinomoto Sakura's phone screen will be a photo of Li Syaoran.
"And vice versa!" I hurry to say, which makes Li smile, and take out his phone. "But not now!" I cry. "I'll send you one where I look extra cute later on."
Li just laughs it off.
"You can take my photo now." He says, still laughing. "And also you should save my phone number while you're at it."
Confident Syao is something to see~
