Remus
"You should get to sleep, Moony," commented Sirius as Harry munched on a soft sandwich. "You look tired."
Remus yawned. "Good idea, Pads. But what about Harry? You look tired too."
"We'll put him to sleep too. Plus, I think he might need my comfort on his first night."
"Alright." He turned to Harry. "Harry, you wanna go to sleep?"
Harry dropped his sandwich on his plate and nodded enthusiastically. Sirius and Remus grinned at each other, before the former picked up the baby. "Let's go to bed!"

"Wow!" said Harry, looking around. "This Duddy's room?"
"No, pup, it's yours," grinned Sirius. "Do you want me to sleep with you?"
"Yah yah yah!"
"Alright, Moony, take the next to next room. There's a bunch of healing potions and the like in the attic."
"Thank you so much, Padfoot," said Remus gratefully. "Love you - not in that way, of course."
"Of course. 'Night, Moony."
"G'night, Padfoot."

"GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE!" yelled Sirius, throwing open all the doors and windows of the house. A stray rat squeaked in fear. Harry, who was just walking downstairs, giggled at the godfather's overly optimistic mood.
"Hi," he waved, grinning.
"HELLO!" Sirius yelled back.
Just then, Remus walked down, rubbing his eyes. Then he stopped and crossed his arms, smirking at Sirius. "Has Harry given you his energy?"
"I DON'T KNOW!" Sirius made confetti shoot out of his wand, covering the room in a thin layer of color. He paused and grinned. "Remember?"
He was referring to Remus's birthday in 1972...
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY REMUSSSSSS!" James and Sirius shook Remus awake.
"Wassamatter?" said Remus groggily. The three other boys glanced at each other with identical expressions.
"AGUAMENTI!" they yelled. Remus was splashed with two jets of water. Just as he got up, James ran out of the room and came back two seconds later with some confetti. "Three... two... one..."
They threw the confetti on Remus. Sirius had secretly applied glue on it, so the birthday boy had to go looking like a chicken for the rest of the day.
"Anyway," Sirius shook himself back to reality, "We're going shopping today!"

"Alright," said Sirius, tossing his hair back dramatically, "Here we are. A Muggle store for kids' clothes."
The trio trotted in.
"Hi," said Remus pleasantly to the woman arranging clothes, "We'd like some clothes for a two year old boy."
The woman looked him up and down, from his shabby robes to his messy hair. "Alright," she said finally, beckoning for them to follow her, but muttering something under her breath. Sirius, however, caught the unpleasant remark, and quickly did a 'Sonorus' using his wand.
"... needs new clothes himself," said the woman in a magnified tone, but stopping and covering her mouth, horrified at the volume. Sirius smirked and made her voice back to normal, while Remus narrowed his eyebrows but said nothing.
The next two hours were spent in purchasing a liberal amount of clothes for Harry. By the end of it, Remus was exhausted, Harry was asleep, and only Sirius had energy left. "For Merlin's sake, Padfoot," said Remus as Sirius gave the lady a Galleon, "Was there any reason to spend so long just for clothes?"
"As a matter of fact, there was," said Sirius brightly, stuffing all the clothes into a magically enlarged bag. "And we'll be doing more! Off to Diagon Alley we g-!"
"NO!" said Remus so loudly that several people stared. He went slightly red and rubbed his nose. "I mean, no," he continued, whispering this time. "Me and Harry are exhausted. If you want to go shopping, I'm not stopping you. Just don't drag me along."
"Fine," muttered Sirius. He handed Harry over to the werewolf. "Sunlight Alley, alright? I'll be going to Diagon Alley to purchase more clothes, toys and other stuff. There's sandwiches in the cupboard, use a Heating Charm on them before you eat."
"Never thought you'd be responsible, Pads," smiled Remus, shaking his head in amusement. He scooped Harry up, and twirled on the spot at the same time as Sirius did.
Remus
Half an hour after they'd arrived at the house, Harry woke up.
"Moony?" he said softly, rubbing his eyes. "I'm hungwy."
Remus looked up from the notebook he was writing on - he was just planning what they would teach Harry, and at what age. "Hungry?" he repeated to Harry, who nodded slowly. "Would you like to have a sandwich?" Assuming the answer was yes, Remus got up and went to the kitchen. Opening the cupboard, he noticed that there were indeed two plates stacked with sandwiches. A moment later, he re-entered the living room with two sandwiches and a cup of milk for Harry. The rest of the afternoon passed normally.
"Moony?" said Harry again at about half-past four.
"Mmm?"
"I'm bowed."
Remus looked up and smiled. "Here, we can play a game... your parents gifted it to you."
He got up and went upstairs to his room. There, in the slightly hidden drawer, were the things he prized most - a photo album of the Marauders, a Daily Prophet clipping of the invention of the Wolfsbane Potion, and so on. On the very back, there was a brightly coloured box with a picture of Quidditch players on it. Remus smiled - that was the one.
When he returned to the living room, Harry was still sitting on the carpet, looking at the drawn curtains and saying nothing. Remus just realised that the house was too dark for happiness, and opened all the curtains and windows. Harry blinked for a while, then his face broke into a smile. Seeing him smile, Remus started to smile, too. He sat down in front of Harry on the carpet and placed the board game in front of them. Inside, there were 14 Quidditch players of the teams Puddlemere United (James's favourite) and Holyhead Harpies (Lily's favourite). There was also a snitch - just as small as the original - and Bludgers which knocked the players down. And a Quaffle, of course. Everything was as soft as a blanket, so that nobody would get hurt.
The rules were simple: place the players and the goals up in the air, as well as the other items. Each person controls a team, tries to score a goal, catch the Snitch, and avoid the Bludgers. The first team to get the Snitch wins. Once Remus had explained the rules to Harry - which admittedly took a while - they started to play.
In the middle of the game, Remus got sandwiches for him and Harry again. Then, they continued playing. In the end, Harry grasped the Snitch in his small hands and yelled with joy. Remus straightened up, also smiling. Just in time, the lock clicked open and Sirius walked in, more than five bags in his hands.
"Padfoot!" beamed Harry, and ran up to his godfather. "I win! I win!"
"Win what?" asked Sirius, amused, putting all the bags down. Then his eyes caught the Quidditch game. "Aha! You beat Moony in Quidditch?" Harry nodded joyfully at that.
"I let him win on purpose," said Remus, rubbing his nose.
"Yeah, like you did." Sirius gave an exaggerated wink, and Remus rolled his eyes.
"Whatever. What's with all the bags? I'm honestly glad I didn't come with you."
"Well... These three are for Harry," he pointed at the middle three, "This one is for me, and that one is for you."
"I didn't want anything!" said Remus, going slightly red.
"Mm-hmm... I don't care. For me, I have hairbrushes, shampoo, new robes, and so on... For you, I have new robes and chocolate - of course - and for Harry, I have clothes, toys, books on pranks, pranking kits, a toothbrush, Quidditch merchandise, including a new toy broomstick called the Bluebottle, slightly advanced bu-"
"Alright, Padfoot, I get the point," interrupted Remus. "Now why don't we go upstairs and arrange all this stuff in our roo-"
"Wat!" said Harry suddenly, holding a squirming rat gently in his hands. "Wat! Look Moony, look Padfoot, it's a wat!"
Sirius had gone very still. Remus squinted at the rat for a few seconds, and then he too realised.
"I think I recognize that rat," growled Sirius, his voice very dry.
A/N: Hey people! I'm sorry I didn't update in so long, I just decided to take a break from this fanfiction. Anyway! You guys like this chapter? Don't kill me for the cliffhanger, the next chapter will be coming very soon. Also, I have a question for you, please answer in the reviews: for how long do you want me to go with two-year-old Harry? There'll be another chapter with baby Harry, of course, but after that should I do a time warp or continue on with his babyness for a few more chapters? One last thing: some of you may be curious about what happened to Peter Pettigrew and why he isn't Scabbers, and why Sirius didn't go to Azkaban. Don't worry; all will be clear soon!
