It had taken several months to raise enough money, but some of Dee's friends in the construction business had volunteered their time and expertise, along with their toolboxes and some raw materials, and now the dream was a reality. The children of Mother Lane's orphanage had their own playground, complete with swings, seesaw, climbing bars, and slide. There was even a playhouse, and a sandpit with a removable cover.

The brightly coloured playground equipment was all firmly cemented into the ground and surrounded by rubber safety matting. When the kids got home from school they were going to be so surprised.

"I didn't believe you when you said you'd have everything installed in less than a day," Ryo admitted.

"That's all down to Tony and the guys; couldn't have done it without 'em." Dee turned to his friends. "I owe ya one."

"Nah, we were happy to help," Tony said. "Anything for the kids."

As the construction crew left, Dee grinned at his partner. "So, you ready to test everything out?"

"Dee! It's for kids, not adults!"

"Exactly! If this stuff can handle our weight, we'll know it's safe for the kids."

"In that case, race you to the slide!"
