"Let her go and drop the gun!" Ryo ordered, voice firm, authoritative. "Do it now! I will fire."
The youth sneered. "You're bluffin', you won't shoot, not as long as I've got my friend here, but I can shoot you, an' I will if ya don't let me go, so back off. This lady's my ticket outta here." He tightened his grip on his hostage, the barrel of his revolver pressing into her temple, and his arm around her throat all but throttling her. If he squeezed much harder, she'd pass out, making her useless as a shield; nevertheless, Ryo didn't intend to wait for that to happen. A choke hold like that could kill.
"I don't bluff," he said calmly, his gun not wavering in the slightest as he sighted down the barrel, tracking the target who was sidling towards the door. "Last chance; release the hostage and drop your gun."
"Up yours, pig! You can't do nothin' to me; I'm holdin' all the cards here. Fact is, I can take ya outta the picture easy." Pulling the gun away from his hostage's head, he started to aim it at Ryo.
It was the last move he ever made.
