In the Living Room, I on the couch was reading a book and it was about Psychology.
Me: Hmm.
Then the Phone rang.
Torch Man: I'll get it.
Torch Man answered the phone. Penguin was calling.
Torch Man: Hello Team Loud Phoenix Storm estate, Torch Man speaking.
Penguin: Torch Man it's Penguin.
Torch Man: Penguin? Why are you calling?
Penguin: Lynn came to the Iceberg Lounge a few hours ago and is drinking non stop. I'm honestly getting concerned about her.
Torch Man: Oh man! She has been very depressed because she was nearly framed by an evil version of herself from another universe that was out for revenge.
Penguin: I've heard about that all over the news.
Torch Man: We'll be right over.
Me: I hope she doesn't get in trouble. She's too young to be drinking!
We went over to the Iceberg Lounge.
We arrived at the Iceberg Lounge and it was a beautiful nightclub. It was really extravagant.
Me: Wow. So this is the Iceberg Lounge.
Nico: Penguin's nightclub is swank.
Lincoln: It's really posh.
Numbuh 1: It sure is a nice place.
Numbuh 362: Perfect for dancing.
Laney: It sure is.
Vince: I may take Carol here for our first anniversary.
Lana: Good idea Vince.
We saw Lynn sitting at the bar and Penguin was trying to wake her up. Lynn was fast asleep.
We went over.
Maria: Penguin, thanks for telling us about Lynn.
Penguin: It was my pleasure.
Me: Boy she is out cold.
Batman: But you better not be thinking of committing any future crimes.
Penguin: I assure you, Batman. I am done with any criminal activities. Now, I'm simply interested in running the Iceberg Lounge in peace.
Me: I guess the battle with Thanos changed you in a good way.
Penguin: It did J.D.
Lightning picked Lynn up and we went back home.
I paid for Lynn's drinks before we left.
Back home, Lynn was crying her eyes out and Lightning was comforting her.
Armada Starscream: Damn my evil self and his team for driving Lynn to this!
Alexis (Armada): I know. That Evil Lynn was a monster.
Jetfire: (Australian Accent) Lynn, what the Hell were you thinking drinking at Penguin's place?!
Lynn: (Crying) I wasn't! I was so depressed that I wasn't thinking straight! (Crying)
Me: Lynn don't let Malfoy's words get to you. He was just an arrogant fucked up punk that didn't know what he was talking about.
Laney: Yeah.
Lily: Besides, you did help clear your name and the Masters of Evil helped you out big time.
Lynn: (Crying) But...
Lola: Lynn, I know you're upset but don't let anything they say get you down. You think you are the only one that was affected by everything bad guys said? No. Me and Lori got hurt by their words too.
Lori was in the infirmary resting her back after she had her skin torn open.
Me: Yeah. I'm sorry you got hurt Lynn. But don't let anything get you down. Remember what I taught you and you will overcome many obstacles.
Lynn: I'll try.
Later the next day it was a stormy and rainy day. I was walking home from high school in my rain coat.
Me: Man it's really coming down.
Lightning was flashing in the skies.
THUNDERCLAP!
Me: And the lightning is bad.
I was almost to the estate when I saw a girl with a crutch walking home.
Me: Looks like someone has a long walk.
But then suddenly without a single warning...
ZZZZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP! THUNDERCLAP!
The girl got struck by lightning and I covered my eyes against the flash.
Me: OH SHIT!
I went over and I saw that it was Lynn's friend Paula! She was twitching and badly burned all over and she couldn't even move.
Me: Oh man! Hang on Paula!
I picked her up and took her to the hospital. I waited the next few hours and called the coach and Paula's friends as well as Lynn.
Lynn: What happened J.D.!?
Me: Paula got struck by lightning!
Margo: What!?
Diane: How!?
Me: She was walking home I think and saw it happen as I was walking home.
Amy: I hope she's okay.
Lynn: Oh Paula. (Crying)
Margo comforted Lynn.
The doctor came out.
Me: How is she doctor?
Doctor: She has burns over 85% percent of her body and she has a lot of electricity flowing through her and she is gonna have muscle spasms and aches for the rest of her life. Also it's gonna be a long time before she walks or plays sports again. But she is one lucky girl. Thank goodness you were in the area J.D. She wouldn't be here if you weren't there.
Me: I know. Can we go see her?
Doctor: You can. But she's in a very fragile state.
Me: Okay.
We went in to Paula's room and she had bandages on her head and badly burned arms.
Me: Hey Paula.
Paula: (Groans) J.D.? What happened?
Me: Well you were walking home and you got struck by lightning.
Paula: Wow. I didn't see even know about it.
Me: Well you usually never even know what hit you until it's too late.
Margo: But you are one lucky girl Paula.
Maya: (Tiredly) J.D. saved you and brought you to the hospital.
Diane: But the doctor said you're gonna be all right.
Margo: Yeah.
Lynn: Paula, I'm sorry that you got struck by lightning.
Me: Lynn this wasn't your fault. This was all part of nature. It was totally unavoidable. Lightning travels at over 220 million miles per hour, 1/3 the speed of light and it packs over 1 billion volts of electricity. And it burns at 50,000Ëš Fahrenheit.
Paula: Wow. I didn't know lightning was that dangerous.
Me: Well it's part of nature. But trust me you aren't the only one that got struck by lightning.
I lifted up my shirt and on my back was a long scar that went all the way up my mid lower back and curves to the left at the middle and turns to the right and goes up to my neck. It looks like a deadly cluster of nerves that were burned all over.
Me: I too got zapped by lightning. But back when I was 5 years old. It was walking down the street to get the mail in a nasty thunderstorm and I got struck by lightning right in the center of my back.
Paula: Geez!
Lynn: Man! That must've hurt.
Maya: No kidding.
Paula: Wow.
Me: But thanks to my powers I got my nerves regenerated.
Lynn: Man.
Paula: I didn't know this happened to you J.D.
Me: No one ever asked about it.
Lynn: Oh.
Me: We're gonna get you to our infirmary so you can rest there Paula.
Paula: Thanks J.D.
We got Paula discharged and took her to the infirmary and her mom and dad came.
Paula's mom: You gave us a huge scare honey.
Paula: I know mom. I'm sorry I scared you.
Paula's dad: Thank goodness J.D. saved you. It's good he did. But we'll come by and visit you while you recuperate.
Paula: Thanks dad.
Lori: It's good you're gonna literally be all right Paula.
Paula: Thanks Lori. How come you are in here?
Lori showed her back and it had stitches and it was an ugly wound.
Paula: Ouch.
Varie: She's gonna be fine though. But Paula you are gonna be in good hands here.
Paula: Thanks Varie.
Me: The doctor said it's gonna take a little over a year for your burns to heal but you will be able to walk again in about 6 weeks.
Paula: Good.
Lori: You are literally a lucky girl Paula. To literally have been struck by lightning? Wow.
Paula: I know.
The days went by and Paula got a lot of get well soon cards and a lot of visits from her friends at school and she was getting better and better with each passing day. Even the Masters of Evil came by to wish Paula the best. I am glad that Paula was gonna be all right.
Paula was made a celebrity in the whole district.
We then started watching TV and then the alarm went off.
Me: Uh oh.
We went to the computer and saw that the Teen Titans villain Kardiak was causing trouble at the local playground!
Kardiak is a villain from the Teen Titans show. He is an artificial entity that resembles a heart and is an enemy of the Teen Titans.
History
Kardiak first fought the Teen Titans when he tried to kidnap a young boy from a playground. His kidnapping failed and he was defeated by Raven, who used her power to rip him apart. Kardiak managed to rebuild himself and undertook another attempt at kidnapping a kid.
This time he succeeded in kidnapping a little girl from her bedroom. Raven defeats him again by using magic she learned from Malchior and tried to consume both Kardiak and the child with the magic. Beast Boy managed to interrupt the magic and saves the girl. it is unknown what happens to Kardiak after the incident.
Kardiak was then recruited by the Brotherhood of Evil. He was sent to capture Beast Boy but was defeated. At the final battle at the Brotherhood's base, Kardiak was once again defeated and ended up flash-frozen with the rest of the villains.
Powers
Kodiak's power includes the power to fly, to heal himself and to suck up enemies with his tentacles.
Me: Kardiak?
Laney: Never heard of a villain like him.
Lisa Loud: He looks like a giant circulatory system heart.
Me: He sure does. He looks like a giant mechanical living heart.
Lola: Ugly and weird.
Lincoln: What was he designed to do?
Me: Lets see. (Types in a code) He was designed to kidnap. Professor Chang built him as a project to capture kids and use them as experimental guinea pigs.
Nico: Looks like this Professor Chang is like the Teen Titans enemy version of Orochimaru.
Me: Just what the universe needs: Another fucked up mad scientist running amok. We'll have to deal with him later down the road. Right now lets destroy Kardiak for good.
Nico: Right!
Me: Lets go!
We were off to face Kardiak!
At the playground, Kardiak was sucking up children into his chambers and then we swooped in and slashed his chambers open and got the kids out.
Me: Time to break this villains heart!
Luan: (Laughs) Good one J.D.
Jake Holling: Kardiak, you're under arrest!
Megaforce Rangers: Legendary Ranger Mode: Time Force!
The Megaforce Rangers transformed into the Time Force Rangers.
Nico: Kardiak, I know you can hear us! You might be thinking that this is gonna end up with be another trip to jail. But you're wrong! This is where we end you once and for all! (Kardiak roars) And of course, he can't talk.
Me: Yep.
Then King Hiss, Rich Texan and Webstor appeared.
Me: King Hiss, Rich Texan and Webstor.
Webstor: Yep.
Lincoln: We want to thank you guys for helping to clear Lynn's name.
Rich Texan: Aw, it was nothing! The three of us also managed to take down Starscream's bad side!
Webstor: Don't forget the rest of Evil Lynn's gang.
Lynn: Yeah.
?: I am glad that she is cleared.

Brody Romero: Trapsaw!
Trapsaw: Its been a while rangers.
Me: I remember you! You were sent to lay a trap for the rangers. But they outsmarted you and made you fall into your own trap.
Trapsaw: That's right. Mistress Vypra was right about you J.D. You have watched us all on TV.
Me: Never missed an episode.
Trapsaw: Since I'm feeling generous, I'll let you guys take the first shot!
Me: Gladly!
Me and the Loud Kids except Lucy and Leni, Jessie, James, and Meowth charge at Trapsaw... only to fall down into a hole in the ground. Except I am flying in the air.
Trapsaw: (laughs) That's one of the traps I made! I knew they'd get someone eventually!
Me: Except me. But that was clever.
Meowth: While we're looking for a way out of here, hows about me, Jessie, and James tell you guys about how the three of us first met each other?
Lincoln: That's right. We never did know how you guys first met one another.
Jessie (Pokemon): It's a great story.
They told us about how they met and beyond.
The Team Rocket trio were inducted as official Team Rocket members in Training Daze. They joined Team Rocket separately and were on initially unfriendly terms after being grouped with Meowth but they quickly made up and became good friends. The trio's rivalry with Butch and Cassidy was also formed at the Team Rocket Academy.
Original series
The Team Rocket trio first appeared in Pokémon Emergency, in which they took over the Viridian Pokémon Center. After their first defeat at the hands of Ash's Pikachu convinced them of his extraordinary power, the trio made their main goal to capture Pikachu.
The trio's general incompetence usually makes them incapable of helping Team Rocket with their significant plans.
In Electric Shock Showdown, after hearing that Pikachu would fight to defend his own honor and Ash's, the trio were inspired to cheer on Pikachu before his rematch against Vermilion Gym Leader Lt. Surge's Raichu.
In Battle Aboard the St. Anne, they led the invasion of the St. Anne, where they and dozens of Team Rocket Grunts stole numerous Pokémon and Poké Balls from the passengers with special mechas. However, the passengers retaliated, led by Ash and his friends, and they defeated the grunts and took back their Pokémon. Later, the ship sailed into a violent storm, was overcome by waves, and sank into the sea.
In The Battle of the Badge, Giovanni, the boss of Team Rocket and the Viridian Gym Leader, temporarily left the trio in charge of the Viridian Gym. He even gave them some of his Pokémon. Jessie battled Ash, but refused to hand him an Earth Badge upon Ash's victory. When Togepi set off an explosion by triggering Meowth's remote control, Team Rocket blasted off and Jessie dropped the Badge for Ash to retrieve.
In Showdown at the Po-ké Corral, the trio arrived at Team Rocket HQ, expecting Giovanni to fire them for their failures. They saw Mewtwo destroy the headquarters and fly away just as they were about to turn away and quit first. When Giovanni told them to just do their job, they took it as a vote of confidence in them and continued to try and steal Pokémon.
In A Scare in the Air, Giovanni assigned the trio to the "Blimp Brigade", where they crewed a rickety blimp that Giovanni only kept the insurance for. Damage caused by a storm as well as a battle with Brock caused the blimp to crash-land on Valencia Island in the Orange Islands. After being repaired, the blimp crashed on Tangelo Island during its return trip in The Lost Lapras. Afterwards, Team Rocket continued to follow Ash and Pikachu throughout the Orange Islands.
In The Trouble with Snubbull, Team Rocket first tried using Meowth as bait for a newly-evolved Granbull, which had been persistently following Meowth, so they could collect a reward from the Granbull's owner, Madame Muchmoney. This failed, and they subsequently used a Meowth-shaped mecha for their next attempt. Through a misunderstanding over Meowth trying to release Granbull from the mecha's tail, Team Rocket were mistakenly assumed to have tricked Madame Muchmoney. When Team Rocket was blasted off following a battle between the mecha and Granbull, Granbull returned home and no longer followed Meowth.
In Dues and Don'ts, they discovered that their membership in Team Rocket had lapsed, although they were able to rejoin due to labor shortages, provided that they pay their debts.
In Hoenn Alone!, Team Rocket followed Ash and Pikachu to the Hoenn region by stowing away on the stern of a boat.
Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire
The trio intervened in Pokémon poacher Rico's plan to capture and sell a group of wild Ekans and Koffing in A Poached Ego!. Jessie and James released Arbok and Weezing and sent them off into Petalburg Forest to protect the Ekans and Koffing.
While suffering from amnesia, Ash's Pikachu temporarily joined the trio in A Scare to Remember!.
In Saved by the Beldum, they were selling snacks to League spectators for the Ever Grande Conference.
During the Mulberry City Pokémon Contest, Harley enlisted the trio's help in sabotaging May's chances of winning her fifth Kanto Ribbon. Harley even leased his Pokémon to Jessie to aid his cause. Ash, however, foiled James and Meowth's attempts to ruin May's Appeals performance during New Plot, Odd Lot. While Drew disrupted their follow-up scheme in Going for Choke, and discovered that Harley was aiding the Rocket trio. Following Jessie's Contest loss, Harley scolded the trio and refused their offer of joining Team Rocket before storming off.
After being blasted off once again, the trio exchanged insults and decided to go their separate ways in The Ole' Berate and Switch. Jessie and James eventually found themselves at the site of Butch and Cassidy's latest scheme, a one-day-only Pokémon Tournament in Sable City. Cassidy roped James into forming a trio with her and Butch, but Jessie soon paired up with Butch. Meowth proved to be far more attached to Jessie and James, and used a biscuit to reflect on the group's close bond even in tough times. The trio reunited and returned to goal of capturing Ash's Pikachu.
Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl
The trio re-encountered Butch and Cassidy in Sleight of Sand!. The two Team Rocket groups quickly began to battle with their robots, and this eventually erupted into a Pokémon battle. The intense confrontation was interrupted after a Hippopotas whipped up a Sandstorm and sent both groups blasting off. The two groups subsequently vowed revenge the next time they met.
In The Thief That Keeps on Thieving!, Giovanni did not even remember who they were.
Team Rocket attended the Pokémon Summer Academy, with Jessie disguised as Jessilinda, while James and Meowth posed as janitors from Camping it Up! to One Team, Two Team, Red Team, Blue Team!.
In Frozen on Their Tracks!, Team Rocket befriended Looker after sharing boxed lunches with him, coming to call him "Boxed-Lunch Guy" or "Mr. Lunchbox". Later in Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl, after discovering that Looker was a member of the International Police, they assisted him in taking down Team Galactic.
The trio set up their own Sinnoh Pokémon Hustle course in a bid to steal competitors' Pokémon and scout for new Team Rocket members in Beating the Bustle and Hustle!.
In Where No Togepi Has Gone Before!, Team Rocket had built a secret base with the money they earned during the Twinleaf Festival. While the trio managed to lure Ash and his friends onto their base, which was actually a rocket, an evil Togepi also wandered in and ruined Team Rocket's plans. The rocket eventually crash-landed, leaving only debris.
In The Fleeing Tower of Sunyshore!, Team Rocket managed to steal Sunyshore Tower as Ash and Volkner prepared to have their Gym battle. Though Ash and his newly evolved Torterra defeated Team Rocket, the Gym and Tower were significantly damaged in the process, and Ash's Gym battle was postponed.
Pokémon the Series: Black & White
At his secretary's recommendation, Giovanni promoted them as part of his plans in the Unova region. After their promotion, they changed from their original white uniforms to black uniforms. In Pokémon the Series: Black & White, they acted in a more serious manner, focusing more on completing specific assignments, often using gadgets such as jetpacks to retreat instead of blasting off.
In Battling For The Love of Bug-Types!, after Giovanni's secretary informed them that they wouldn't be needed for any more missions, they worried Giovanni had lost faith in them and returned to their white uniforms. They returned to planning their own schemes, although often in a more competent manner and with the assistance of Dr. Zager. They participated in Operation Tempest, Team Rocket's mission to capture Meloetta and harness the power of the Forces of Nature.
Due to the failure of Operation Tempest, starting in New Places... Familiar Faces! they reverted to their traditional comedic personalities, using their original motto, and travelling in their Meowth balloon (with enhancements); however, their newfound competence was not completely lost, with the trio still occasionally retreating using jetpacks instead of blasting off.
After Meowth, Colress and Team Rivalry!, the trio decided to head for the White Ruins, where they would spy on Team Plasma's movements for a time while plotting to steal the Light Stone. However, when their friend Looker spotted them and asked for their help, the trio helped Ash and his friends defeat the rival organization. After helping defeat Team Plasma in Farewell, Unova! Setting Sail for New Adventures!, the trio returned completely to their previous role as comic relief, retaining only their upgraded technology and slight competence.
Pokémon the Series: XY
In A Battle of Aerial Mobility!, Giovanni approved the trio's plan to steal as many rare and powerful Pokémon as they could in the Kalos region.
In An Explosive Operation!, Giovanni assigned the trio to investigate Team Flare's plans and to catch the Zygarde known as Squishy before Team Flare could do so. They ran into another Zygarde Core, nicknamed Z2, that was on the run from Team Flare. The trio escaped with Z2 after Jessie's Gourgeist used Seed Bomb against some Team Flare Grunts, but they later lost in battle to them. Team Rocket tried taking the weakened Z2 when Mable was about to capture it, but Aliana's Druddigon and Mable's Weavile made them blast off.
During the Lumiose Conference, they assisted Malva with filming the conference whilst plotting to steal the competitor's Pokémon only for Malva's tight schedule to disrupt their plans leaving them unable to steal any Pokémon. During the Team Flare crisis, they continued filming and help assist by piloting the helicopter to help deal with the Giant Rock. They later edited the footage shot to show to Giovanni that they alone defeated Team Flare.
Following their adventures in Kalos, they returned to Team Rocket HQ in Till We Compete Again!.
Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon
Later, in Loading the Dex!, the trio arrived in the Alola region to obtain some rare Alolan Pokémon for Giovanni, as well as Ash's Pikachu, which they were surprised to find on Melemele Island. They allied with a Mimikyu which hated Pikachu and later a wild Bewear kidnapped Jessie and James. In First Catch in Alola, Ketchum-Style!, the Bewear looked after the trio, giving them food and shelter at its den.
They completed their new base in Bewear's den during A Seasoned Search! despite disruptions caused by Rowlet and Popplio crashing into their antenna during They Might Not Be Giants!.
They are often seen on Melemele Island in disguise as part-timers at a malasada shop, mostly as food truck attendants. In Now You See Them, Now You Don't!, Team Rocket took notice of a Cosmog that was accompanying Ash while the trio was selling malasadas near the Pokémon School. James wrongly guessed that the Cosmog, Nebby, was a pre-evolved Koffing, and Team Rocket tried and failed to capture it. In Deceiving Appearances! it was revealed they were scouted by Faba to work at the Aether Foundation as his assistants, but quit in Mission: Total Recall! after discovering his intent to use his Hypno's Hypnosis to tamper with Lillie's memory, finding such underhanded evil below them. They eventually abandoned chasing after Nebby after James was proven wrong about it being the pre-evolved form of Koffing in Revealing the Stuff of Legend!.
One of Team Rocket's goals in Alola has been to harness the power of Z-Moves for themselves. In A Team-on-Team Tussle!, they obtained a Darkinium Z, which some Team Skull Grunts also tried to obtain from a nest of Alolan Rattata and Raticate, led by a Totem Raticate. The same Z-Crystal reappeared in Acting True to Form!, where Jessie and James believed that they could use it with the Alolan Meowth they had just met. However, they were dismayed upon being informed that they would also need a Z-Ring to do so.
In Why Not Give Me a Z-Ring Sometime?, at the advice of Giovanni, they traveled to Ula'ula Island to get a Z-Ring from Nanu. There, their Darkinium Z was stolen by the "Greedy Rapooh", a Gengar they had accidentally unsealed. After taking back their Z-Crystal, Nanu gave them a Z-Power Ring so James's Mareanie could use Black Hole Eclipse, rescuing Acerola in the process. The trio was allowed to keep the ring as a token of appreciation, and Jessie received a Mimikium Z for her Mimikyu from Acerola's Mimikyu, nicknamed Mimikins.
The Rocket trio were called back to HQ in Thank You, Alola! The Journey Continues!. They released Mimikyu and Mareanie, also leaving their Z-Ring behind, in the care of Bewear and Stufful.
Pokémon Journeys: The Series
Team Rocket returned to the Kanto region, setting up an underground base in Vermilion City while they plot to steal Pikachu. They have been using disguises, a Rotom Phone which they received in Flash of the Titans!, and the Rocket Prize Master, a Pokémon vending machine, to assist their evil operations.
In JN013, they successfully nabbed a Chewtle while in Wyndon. Chewtle was added to the Rocket Prize Master, where its powerful Water Gun proved difficult to defeat in JN017.
The trio recruited a Ditto as a new member of Team Rocket in JN019. Ditto was struggling to be a movie star because its nervousness was affecting its ability to use Transform. Jessie and the others encouraged Ditto and it eventually learned to Transform perfectly. While Ditto assisted them in capturing Pikachu, Jessie realized Ditto was destined for stardom and allowed their new recruit to fulfil its dreams.
In JN024, the trio were ordered to go on holiday to the Resort Area in Sinnoh. However the reward proved to be a ploy by Matori and her agents, who planned to steal many Pokémon from the Resort Area. After overhearing her disparaging them, the trio decided to get their revenge and helped Ash and Goh free the Pokémon. The subsequent battle quickly turned against Matori and her unit, and when Officer Jenny arrived, she ordered a retreat.
Me: Wow! So that's how you all met.
Ash: Yep.
Laney: Big story and history.
But then another figure came out and it was Jaden's arch nemesis NIGHTSHROUD!
Yusuke Fujiwara learned about Nightshroud before the incident at the Abandoned Dorm, heading to the Dorm's subterranean Duel arena in order to perform a ritual to free it and gain its power. However, Atticus Rhodes, Yusuke's friend, followed him and became caught up in the ritual. Yusuke disappeared, giving Atticus the Nightshroud mask as he no longer needed it. Atticus resisted Nightshroud's influence from then on, until he was forced to embrace it and become its host in order to survive the Dorm's events. He encountered and defeated the Gravekeeper's Chief, obtaining half of a Shadow Charm pendant.
Shadow Riders
Nightshroud is introduced as the first of the Shadow Riders to challenge Jaden Yuki, who had by that point become the owner of the other half of the Shadow Charm pendant (Nightshroud showed a desire to gain the Sacred Beasts, but it wasn't explained why). Transporting Jaden Yuki, Alexis Rhodes, Syrus Truesdale, and Chumley Huffington to the Academy's volcano, Nightshroud sets a Shadow Game in which the loser would have his soul sealed in a card, using Syrus and Chumley as insurance, trapped inside an energy bubble over lava that weakens as Jaden loses Life Points. Nightshroud uses his "Red-Eyes B. Dragon" to gain an early advantage, but when Jaden begins to counterattack, Nightshroud calls out his "Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon," which grows stronger for each Dragon in his Graveyard, destroying Jaden's "Elemental Hero Tempest." Jaden is able to split Nightshroud's monster in two with "Wild Half" and reduce the ATK of the copies, then attack them both with "Elemental Hero Wildedge" to win the Duel. When defeated, Nightshroud's soul, represented by the mask he wore, is sealed away, and Atticus, who had been the dark personality's vessel, is freed.
Society of Light
During the Genex Tournament, Atticus uses Nightshroud's Deck in hopes of convincing his friend, Zane, that the dark path taken by a Duelist is a terrible course. As a result of playing his "Red-Eyes Darknesss Dragon", Nightshroud's dark aura begins to resurface. Atticus is able to resist him and nearly win the Duel, but Zane protects himself with his "Power Wall" Trap Card, throwing most of his Deck out in disrespect. This action causes Atticus to believe that Zane can't be helped, and the influence of Nightshroud that lay dormant within the card is once again able to take control of Atticus. Nightshroud immediately destroys Zane's last monster, leaving him with three cards in his Deck, but Zane is still able to bring out his "Cyberdark Dragon", absorb the strength of "Red-Eyes B. Dragon" and destroy "Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon" to win the Duel. As a result, Nightshroud is banished back to his prison following his defeat.
Darkness
He makes a subsequent return after Jaden accepts Atticus' proposal for a rematch to discover Nightshroud's secrets. Atticus also has nightmares about the day he became Nightshroud's host, which reveals he was not the first or only person to take up Nightshroud's soul. Adding to the mystery, while visiting the arena underneath the Abandoned Dorm, Atticus is attacked by the Duel Monster Spirit Honest, which is disguised as Yusuke Fujiwara, knocking him unconscious in the process. After he recovers, Jaden visits Atticus in the nurse's office and Atticus comes up with the idea of having Jaden Duel Nightshroud (despite the obvious dangers) in order to uncover the entity's origins, which he does. Despite the use of "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon", Jaden wins again, so Atticus once more stays free from Nightshroud.
Nightshroud later appears to Atticus during the final stages of Trueman's siege at Duel Academy, still in Fujiwara's body, who has completely fallen under Nightshroud's influence and adopted its doctrine. He reveals himself as the mastermind behind the Trueman attacks and is thus the main antagonist of the events. Here, too, his true intentions and motivations are revealed. Nightshroud wanted all humans to be taken into the World of Darkness where they will ultimately give up on their own lives, because while in the dark world, they would be mentally tortured by visions of failing at their hopes and dreams. They would then become a single entity, sharing all joy and all suffering. Nightshroud claimed his actions are justified in that, with no more individuality, humanity's suffering will finally end. He Duels Atticus, who uses Nightshroud's former "Red-Eyes" Deck after modifying it, and shows him a vision during the Duel that leads Atticus to believe he ended it in a DRAW, exploiting the darkness in Atticus's heart. In reality, Nightshroud had used the effect of his "Clear Vice Dragon" to prevent its destruction, allowing it to defeat Atticus and absorb him into the World of Darkness.
Nightshroud is then challenged to a Duel by Jaden and Jesse Anderson. He accepts on the condition that it be a Battle Royal, attempting to search for the darkness in Jesse's heart. Despite the attempts of the "Crystal Beasts" to prevent him from finding out, Nightshroud was able to gleam that Jesse wanted to defeat Jaden, and he appeared to have briefly turned the two against one another, but they instead used their attacks on one another to gain advantages against Nightshroud. Though he defeats Jesse when Jesse sacrifices himself to protect Jaden, Jaden summons "Rainbow Neos" and empowers it with "Honest" to defeat Nightshroud's "Clear Vicious Knight" as well as purge Nightshroud from Fujiwara's body and destroy it.
However, this did nothing to stop Nightshroud, as only part of him was destroyed, and Nightshroud then appeared in its true form. Nightshroud revealed that it created an artificial eclipse over the planet with its own dark world, blocking out the sun and pulling all humans into the dark world. This left Jaden, Pharaoh the cat, and the immaterial Lyman Banner as the last living things on Earth. Nightshroud challenges Jaden to a final Duel, viewing Jaden as a "foreign object" that didn't belong in either world because he held a human spirit and a Duel spirit (referring to Yubel), and thus should be removed. Nightshroud reveals its origins, saying that in every person there is insecurity and inner turmoil: hopes and dreams failing before fear and guilt, creating "darkness", and itself as well. Nightshroud adds a justification to its actions, saying that it's natural for its world to replace the human world. He begins locking Jaden down with his "Darkness," "Zero," and "Infinity" combo. Jaden is able to work his way around it, until Nightshroud Summons "Yubel" from Jaden's Deck. Jaden is able to reclaim Yubel with "Super Polymerization", fusing her with "Elemental Hero Neos" to create "Neos Wiseman," which turns the tables completely in Jaden's favour. Claiming that humanity will lead themselves into ruin, Nightshroud shows Jaden a vision of a ruined future, but Jaden vows not to let it come to pass. Nightshroud is able to take control of the Duel again with "Darkness Seed", allowing him to continually restore his Life Points to 4000. He then calls out his 4000 ATK "Darkness Neosphere" and destroys "Neos Wiseman," but Jaden in turn permanently disables Nightshroud's "Darkness" combo. During the Duel, Jaden reaches out to the humans trapped in the darkness, and reminds them of the cards that have guided them their whole lives. The trapped humans eventually free themselves, after which Jaden defeats Nightshroud with "Elemental Hero Divine Neos." Though beaten and forced to return to the World of Darkness, Nightshroud claims that as long as there's darkness in humans, it would surely return, but Jaden counters by claiming that as long as humans believe in their bonds, Nightshroud will never return.
Me: What and who the hell is that devilish monstrosity!?

Nightshroud: Very well.
Nightshroud turned into what he looked like when he possessed Atticus.
Me: So that's what he looked like when he possessed Atticus. Now we have the Seven Shadow Riders to face.
Alexis: That's right.

Jaden: Those are them.
Kalin: They sure are scary and ugly.
Me: It's like he's using monsters from the very fiery depths of Hell.
Hannah: No kidding.
Me: Lets get him!
We went at Nightshroud and I slashed his arm and fired waves of fire and energy and Jaden punched Nightshroud in the face and kicked him in the stomach and Hannah fired blasts of fire and Kalin punched and blasted Nightshroud all over the place. Our monsters destroyed Nightshroud's monsters and destroyed them completely and I fired an energy blast and obliterated Nightshroud in an instant.
I went over and found his decks and picked them up and kept them as trophies to add to my collection.
Nightshroud's evil spirit came.
Me: You will never torment the bonds of friendship ever again.
I held up my hand to his face.
Me: HAKAI!
He glowed purple and screamed in excruciating agony as he was being completely obliterated. He was erased from existence for all eternity as if he was never born at all.
Me: Good riddance.
Jaden: Awesome job J.D.! Get your game on!
Me: Same to you Jaden. But your Elemental HERO Cards are awesome.
Jaden: Thanks J.D.
Hannah Fairchild: But Nightshroud deserved to die after causing all that pain and suffering.
Kalin: Yep.
Nightshroud's cards didn't get Hakaied and I kept them as trophies.

H'earring, Faash, Enre Hep, Laarina, and Intress blasted and slashed and cut Kardiak all over the place.
Luna Loud: Try these techniques! METAL STYLE NINJA ARTS: IRON HANDS SPACE MARINES, PRIMARCH FERRUS MANUS and TECHMARINES!
Luna fired waves of metal and they formed into armies of said groups.
Iron Hands Space Marines
The Iron Hands are a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter and one of the original First Founding Space Marine Legions created from the gene-seed of their martyred primarch, Ferrus Manus.
Like the other Loyalist Astartes Legions, the Iron Hands would later be divided up after the Horus Heresy into multiple different Chapters, as required by the Codex Astartes, although one Chapter of the original Legion remained known as the Iron Hands and is described below.
Although unwavering in their faith in the Emperor of Mankind and His dream of human unity as embodied in the Imperium of Man, the Iron Hands also believe that human flesh is weak and easily corruptible, and strive to replace their organic bodies with more "pure" bionic substitutes, thus closely emulating the faith of the Adeptus Mechanicus' Cult of the Machine.
The Iron Hands were born as the Xth Legion of Space Marines, engineered by the Emperor of Mankind to bring His light to the long-lost human colony worlds scattered across the stars.
Renowned for their pride, cold-hearted brutality and remorselessness in battle, the Iron Hands were among the most powerful and famed Space Marine Legions of the Great Crusade.
They were the hammer that had shattered countless foes in the Emperor's quest to liberate Mankind from the darkness of Old Night. Their primarch was Ferrus Manus, a bellicose and uncompromising warlord and peerless weapon-smith, from whom the Xth Legion took their name and whose command was to them inviolatable law.
When the Horus Heresy first erupted and plunged the newborn Imperium into a galaxy-wide civil war, the Iron Hands Legion was too far from Terra to intervene directly in the climactic battle of the conflict.
Their Primarch Ferrus Manus was enraged by the weakness of those Legions who fell to Chaos, particularly with his closest brother amongst the Primarchs, Fulgrim of the Emperor's Children, and by his own inability to face the Traitors. Ferrus Manus gathered together his most Veteran Astartes and departed for the Istvaan System.
It was during the Drop Site Massacre of Istvaan V that the Iron Hands, the Raven Guard and the Salamanders Legions were ambushed by the Traitors led by the Warmaster Horus, and though the three Loyalist Legions fought with extraordinary valour, Ferrus Manus himself was lost, beheaded by Fulgrim's Slaaneshi daemonblade which he had uncovered from the xenos world of Laeran.
The Iron Hands were undone by their own hubris and the blade of the Traitor both, and paid a heavy price in the brutal slaying of their Primarch and the near-crippling of their strength.
Though left as one of the Shattered Legions, the cold fury of the Iron Hands' bitter vengeance would afterwards be writ across the stars. While the Traitors declared their Primarch dead upon the blasted wastes of Istvaan V, the current Iron Hands Chapter refuses to accept this, for the Primarch's body was never recovered.
For over 10,000 Terran years, the Sons of Ferrus Manus have stoked their burning hatred, drawing strength from this inexhaustible well of rage as they await their lost Primarch's return.
The unique identity of the Iron Hands is forged by their belief that all flesh is inherently weak, for it is subject to mortification, decay and temptation and is thus a weakness that must ultimately be purged if the Chapter's Astartes are to best serve the Emperor.
This is a belief most probably rooted in the experiences of the Horus Heresy, but the inherent character of the people of the Chapter's homeworld of Medusa, with their stoicism and patient forbearance, also plays a part. Following the apparent death of their Primarch at Istvaan V, the surviving members of the Legion returned to their homeworld and fanned the coals of hatred that would endure across the millennia.
The Iron Hands chose to isolate themselves from many of their fellow Astartes Chapters after the Second Founding and slowly became bitter recluses, wielding their anger as a protective shield against a universe of growing weakness and insanity.
It soon came to pass that none were immune from their ire. The Traitors had renounced their oaths and turned against their brothers, but the Loyalists had allowed it to happen, and the Emperor had fallen.
The Iron Hands harbour a special hatred for the Successor Chapters of the other two Loyalist "Shattered Legions" - the Salamanders and the Raven Guard - that fought with them at Istvaan V, for they believe that if those Legions had been stronger and continued to fight rather than retreating, Ferrus Manus would not have been lost and the Heresy might have ended there. This belief defies all facts to the contrary.
The Iron Hands' abhorrence of weakness is not limited to the moral however, for they hold that the body itself, even that of a genetically-enhanced Astartes, is frail and impermanent and subject to sickness and aging. The Iron Hands are driven to replace the weak biological matter all men are born into with cold, unyielding iron, a practise that begins when a Neophyte is initiated into the Chapter as a full Battle-Brother.
The Initiate's left hand is removed and replaced with a bionic version in a ritual inspired by a tale of the Primarch when his own hands were encased in living metal following a legendary battle with a great metal serpent.
Some Initiates sever their own hand during the ritual, while others plunge it into the searing hot lava flowing from the mountains of Medusa, bearing the pain and transforming it to hate.
Throughout an Iron Hand's lifetime, he grows ever more bitter towards his foes and ever more resentful of his own flesh. He appears to come to hate himself, or his biological form at least, like a man forcibly garbed in filth-encrusted rags.
More of his organs and limbs are replaced with bionic augmetics, each inherently superior to the original. To some outsiders, this is a supreme blasphemy, for many of the organs eventually discarded are those that make a Space Marine what he is, and which are the direct inheritance of the Emperor and the Primarch.
Nevertheless, a Battle-Brother of the Iron Hands that has reached several standard centuries of service is likely to appear almost entirely mechanical, every visible scrap of flesh replaced with gleaming, oiled and burnished steel.
A few centuries more and the warrior's biological body might consist of little more than his brain and his major internal organs. It is said that some Iron Hands, those that survive the rigours of war and their own hate-fuelled self-mutilation, are no more than a brain encased in a ceramite shell.
Because of this drive, many of the Chapter's leaders are entombed within the form of a Dreadnought. These form the Chapter council, the "Iron Council," for the Iron Hands have no individual Chapter Master.
Each company is an all-but independent body called a "clan company," which maintains its own mobile fortress-monastery that trawls the endless wastes of Medusa guarding against weakness in the people and recruiting the strongest into its ranks.
Some claim that the Chapter's hatred of the flesh represents the manifestation of a corruption in its gene-seed, and certainly the Iron Hands Legion sired only a few known Successor Chapters.
Whatever the cause, the Iron Hands' resolution and grim determination remain beyond doubt, as many of the Imperium's enemies have discovered.
Primarch Ferrus Manus
The Iron Hands were the Xth Legion of Space Marines, created from the gene-seed of the Primarch Ferrus Manus. At the dawn of the Imperium of Man, before the Great Crusade had begun, the 20 gene-children of the Emperor of Mankind, the Primarchs, were scattered across the known galaxy through the Warp in a mysterious accident due to the intervention of the Ruinous Powers of Chaos. The gestation capsules of all 20 Primarchs were stolen from the Emperor's secret gene-laboratory deep beneath the Himalazian (Himalayan) Mountains on Terra and were flung across thousands of light years, all eventually coming to rest on backwater human colony planets.
It was this first touch of Chaos before the Primarchs had even been born that may have corrupted so many of them and laid the foundation for the agonising tragedy of the Horus Heresy that was to come. One of these infant Primarchs turned up on the dark, geologically unstable Feral World of Medusa in the Segmentum Obscurus very near to the Eye of Terror, his gestation capsule burning a trail through the cloud-dominated sky as it impacted the highest mountain on the world, Karaashi, the Ice Pinnacle. The impact shattered the mountain top, burying Ferrus deep in the ice in a tremendous explosion of steam. The land shook under the impact which could be felt all over the world. Mountains were toppled and great chasms were formed as the planet rumbled under the coming of the Primarch. Medusa rumbled with such ferocity that the Medusans later said that many of the world's mountains simply shook themselves to pieces.
Years later that special infant, named Ferrus Manus by the Medusans (literally "iron handed" in the ancient High Gothic tongue), walked unscathed and already fully grown from the uninhabited mountain ranges of the far northern wastes where the Ice Pinnacle lay. The legends of the roaming clans, taught from father to son throughout the ages, revolve around the early exploits of Ferrus, who came to be regarded as a great warrior amongst the nomadic clans of Medusa. No one could match his strength of arm, try as he might to find a worthy opponent. He sought out every physical challenge that he could, always returning victorious. According to one oft-recounted myth, Ferrus once challenged a storm giant to a competition of strength. The giant lifted a mountain between his hands and set it back down a mile away.
The giant's laugh died when Ferrus lifted the entire mountain range on his back, carrying it to a neighbouring island. The poor, humbled giant was never seen again. Ferrus travelled the length and breadth of Medusa, becoming well-known by all the clans and coming to know the land itself as no one ever had. He travelled areas that any other man would have found inaccessible. He climbed the highest mountains, he swam the deepest oceans, always pushing his levels of endurance and strength to levels unfathomable to mortal men. His strength and fury made him renowned and feared amongst the people of the clans who valued such qualities highly in their harsh environment.
Ferrus was eventually adopted by the Medusan clans as one of their own. He never interfered in the various clans' conflicts, believing that such competition was healthy for his people and should be allowed to thrive. Because of this impartiality, Ferrus was ultimately accepted universally as an honourary member of every Medusan clan, and great (often exaggerated) legends like the one above were told of his deeds.
Much about the formative years of Ferrus Manus on Medusa remains unknown, not so much through any deliberate veil of secrecy perhaps, but because what was later retold by the Medusans themselves was filtered through the barbaric folk-memory of their culture, while the Gorgon himself was taciturn on the matter to any save the Emperor. There have been many who have studied the formative situations of the Primarchs who have drawn parallels between the conditions in which Vulkan found himself on Nocturne and Ferrus Manus encountered on Medusa; both were found on savage, barren worlds riven by hostile conditions and both were home to primitive cultures, long cut off from the rest of Mankind during the Age of Strife. But beyond these surface features, the two worlds and, in particular, those who dwelled upon them could not have been more different.
If what can be gleaned from the Medusan folk tales holds true, it was not into the clan-ranges he first fell in blaze of light that sundered the grey, shrouding skies of the planet, but in the northern polar regions, shattering Karaashi, the Pinnacle of Black Ice. This locale was one of many places the Medusans considered the accursed abodes of the malign shades of the dead and slumbering iron-skinned monsters of legend. This set the scene for the Primarch's entrance into mythic history, and the Medusan legends teach of him wandering the northern realms, casting down hulking storm giants, performing superhuman feats of cunning and strength, and slaying monsters and murderous machine-creatures left relic beneath the black ice of Medusa from bygone ages of war and slaughter.
One such legend was of the titanic battle between the Primarch and Asirnoth, the Great Silver Wyrm. This tale is recounted in the Canticle of the Travels, an epic Medusan poem of unknown origin that is still taught to the children of the clans at their parents' knees. The Wyrm was said to possess a skin of living metal that was stronger than any armour. It was said that Ferrus spent many days tracking the beast through the legendary Land of Shadows, the fearful homeland of the ancients, a place of mystery and terror. This place, long since lost, was said to be a land forged of metal and stone relics of giant proportions, the remnants of a forgotten age in the galaxy's history. The ghost-spirits of the clans were said to roam there once they left the world of the living. Imperial academics now believe that the description of the Land of Shadows given in the Canticle makes it sound very much like the Necron ruins later encountered by the forces of the Imperium in the late 41st Millennium. As such, Asirnoth may actually have been a C'tan or Necron construct created from their Necrodermis material, which is known to act as a type of "living metal".
Ferrus was unable to defeat the beast with raw strength alone, his punches and blows having no discernible effect. Ferrus was eventually able to slay the creature, drowning it in a river of molten lava despite the agonising pain this caused him, and he bore it stoically. When Ferrus removed his arms from the lava, the Great Silver Wyrm had been completely destroyed, and he discovered that his hands and forearms were covered in the same living metal as the Wyrm's skin, which had flowed across his own flesh, protecting it, even as Asirnoth had been destroyed (or dispersed) by the heat of the molten rock. This was a substance that was as flexible as flesh yet as strong and impervious as the hardest ceramite. It is known that myths involving Ferrus and his metal hands precede the writing of the Canticle of Travels, but only in the Canticle is this explanation given as to how the living metal came to be fused to his body. The alien metal also altered the Primarch's physiology, for following the battle his eyes turned silver and seemed to lose their pupils, indicating that the necrodermis, if that is what the substance was, had also entered deep within his body. The reigning hypothesis among Imperial scholars at present is that Asirnoth was a Necron construct, some kind of guardian creature placed on the planet to protect a possible Necron Tomb or even the resting place of a true C'tan Shard, made of the "living metal" alloy the Necrons called necrodermis. It is possible that Ferrus was in some way polluted or corrupted by the Necron technology in the process of slaying the Great Silver Wyrm.
When the Gorgon, as he had become known, strode forth from the forbidden realms of sundered Medusa to batter the disparate clans of his world into submission to his overlordship, he was already thought of as a living god by its natives. But while he did not require of the Medusans worship and did nothing to encourage it, he demanded obedience to his will, and bloodily broke any who would contest his word. Nor did he quell conflict or bring peace upon the planet, but instead he gave the Iron Fathers - the half Tech-priests, half-shamans who ministered to the clans' spiritual and technological needs - the fruits of his own intervention in exchange for the technological secrets they had kept down the generations. Through the Gorgon's teachings the Medusan clans then forged better weapons and stronger machines with which to fight to prove their worth to survive.
Ferrus returned to the Medusan clans after his travels, filled with new and wonderful ideas, which he taught to all who wished to learn. He was able to craft strange and powerful tools and objects out of metal, shaping them with his living metal hands without even the need for a hammer or forge. Under his tutelage, the clans of Medusa became much stronger than they had been before his arrival and became capable of wonders that they never could have imagined possible. It was a time of greatness for the people of Medusa - the civilisation of the clans advanced at a tremendous pace and the Medusan people became strong and proud.
Ferrus Manus also led the bravest warriors of the clans to delve into the frozen realms below, breaking open long-sealed vaults and intruding into ice-buried fragments of the great machine-works that had plunged from the skies in ancient days in search of salvage and strong metal. In the depths, the warrior-bands and the silver-eyed giant who led them fought degenerate mutants, living-dead cyborgs whose decayed flesh hung in tatters from corroded metal bodies, and subdued the dark-engines of the nightmare ages that had gone before to take their plunder. By the time the Emperor had come to claim him for the Great Crusade, Ferrus Manus was warlord, demi-god and sage to the people of Medusa, and it is said that he was waiting, and that he more than half-suspected the true purpose of his creation.
Techmarines
A Techmarine (known as a Frater Astrotechnicus in High Gothic) is a Space Marine technician and engineer as well as a full Astartes Battle-Brother of his Chapter. They are fully initiated members of both the Cult Mechanicus and their Chapter.
Prospective Techmarines are chosen from the ranks of the Space Marine Chapters for their affinity with technology. They learn how to divine the runes of engineering and study the liturgy of maintenance. This great body of lore must be committed to memory and understood by the novice Techmarine.
They are taught how to "feel" the pain of a damaged machine and heal it. When they come back they serve the same role in their Chapter as a Tech-priest Enginseer in the Astra Militarum. Without the passing on of such ancient lore, the Space Marines would eventually grind to a complete halt, unable to make war. Thus does every Chapter's might hinge upon the esoteric knowledge of its Techmarines.
Every Space Marine Chapter sends a number of its warriors with a demonstrated affinity for the use and maintenance of technology to Mars where they are inducted into the Machine Cult by the Adeptus Mechanicus, a right granted by ancient pacts made by the Adeptus Astartes with the Tech-priests.
Aspiring Techmarines train for standard years, steeping themselves in rites of activation, maintenance and repair. Upon returning to their Chapter, they become custodians of the Chapter Armoury - Space Marines of dual loyalties, pledged by blood to their Chapter, but bound in mind to the Omnissiah.
Despite this dichotomy, Techmarines are held in great esteem; a Chapter could not wage war without its technological tools. In spite of their mysterious calling, Techmarines remain fierce warriors, and if a vehicle is lost, they will fight for its retrieval as stridently as their brethren would to recover any other fallen comrade.
The most senior Techmarine in a Chapter commands the Armoury and is known as the Master of the Forge. His knowledge of the arcane sciences has been refined over centuries and rivals that of the Tech-priests of Mars. In addition to his responsibilities in the Chapter Armoury, the Master of the Forge is tasked with conserving any of the Chapter's arcane relics. If the need is great, he may even unleash the fury of these lost technologies upon the foe.

Primarch Vulkan
Vulkan was one of the 20 superhuman primarchs and a Perpetual created by the Emperor of Mankind from altered versions of His own DNA to lead his Great Crusade and reunite the scattered peoples of Humanity within the Imperium of Man.
The XVIIIth Legion, created from Vulkan's genome and originally known as the Dragon Warriors, was re-named the Salamanders after the great fire-resistant reptiles native to his volcanic homeworld of Nocturne in memory of the legendary contest between the Emperor and Vulkan that had involved slaying one of those dangerous beasts. The outcome of this contest had revealed the Emperor's identity to Vulkan and restored the Primarch to the Imperium.
Like his genetic father, Vulkan was a Perpetual, a rare Human mutant with the ability to be resurrected from death over and over no matter how much damage his body suffered. Vulkan was able to regenerate fully from any injury, including a death that resulted in his complete disintegration. This ability was unknown to him until the Horus Heresy and his near-death at the Drop Site Massacre on Istvaan V.
During the Great Crusade Vulkan gained a reputation among its participants for his unusual empathy for a primarch towards average Humans as well as his extraordinary ability to craft unique and powerful items of advanced technology.
Approximately a thousand standard years after the Horus Heresy, Vulkan hid 9 sacred artefacts he had created around the galaxy for the Salamanders to find, intended as a test to see if they were worthy of his leadership.
He then disappeared, leaving his genetic sons with the message that whenever the Forgefather of the Salamanders had found all nine items, Vulkan would return to lead his Chapter to victory over the enemies of the Imperium in its final days of greatest need, according to the signs foreseen in the Chapter's book of prophecy, the Tome of Fire.
Salamanders Space Marines
The Salamanders are one of the Loyalist First Founding Chapters of Space Marines. They originally served as the Imperium's XVIII Space Marine Legion during the Great Crusade and the Horus Heresy and for some time before the return of their Primarch were known as the "Dragon Warriors." Their homeworld is the volcanic Death World of Nocturne.
The Salamanders as a Chapter are unusually concerned with civilian casualties compared to most other Space Marines and believe that one of their most important duties is to protect the lives of the Emperor of Mankind's innocent subjects whenever and wherever possible.
This is an attitude that developed as a consequence of the Salamanders' own unusually close connections to the Nocturnean people, as they are one of the only Chapters of Astartes who continue to interact with their families and the people of their homeworld after their transformation into Space Marines.
For instance, it is not uncommon for a Salamander to serve as a clan leader among the Nocturneans and live with them when Chapter business does not require him to remain at the Chapter's fortress-monastery on Nocturne's moon of Prometheus. The Salamanders and their people as a whole are also defined by their adherence to a variation of the Imperial Cult called the Promethean Cult.
The story of the Salamanders and the legend of how their Primarch Vulkan was reunited with the Emperor is one of the few stories from the time of the Great Crusade told in a coherent form across many different worlds of the Imperium. How much of the so-called Promethean Opus is factually accurate is unknown, and in many ways unimportant.
The fact that the Salamanders have stood for ten thousand standard years as paragons of strength, honour and resolution is the true legacy of their Primarch, and one that endures into the dark epoch of the late 41st Millennium.
The Salamanders hail from a world wracked by constant volcanic instability, but possessing the very rarest kinds of mineral resources. The violence of the cyclic volcanic activity creates and churns up minerals highly prized by the Adeptus Mechanicus, yet the planet has been occupied by Mankind since long before the Age of the Imperium.
When the infant Vulkan appeared on Nocturne, he was discovered by the smith of one of the seven main settlements, a mastercraftsman who soon taught the infant Primarch all he knew.
Within a few short Terran years Vulkan had developed into a hulk of a man, his mind as powerful as his body. Soon, Vulkan was teaching the master-smiths of Nocturne metalworking techniques lost to them since the darkest days of the Age of Strife. When Vulkan defeated one of the regular and highly costly Aeldari raids, he was unanimously acknowledged as their leader.
When the Emperor came to Nocturne to be reunited with His lost son, He chose not to do so with great ceremony as He had in several other cases, and He did not announce His identity, hiding behind an obscuring psychic glamour. Instead, He came as a stranger during the festival to celebrate Vulkan's great victory.
By tradition, such celebrations included numerous contests and trials of strength, and so the stranger challenged Vulkan, declaring that the winner of their contest would kneel before the other and declare his eternal fealty.
The resulting challenge saw the stranger and the Primarch perform such deeds that no mortal could replicate, culminating in a hunt to slay the largest of the great, fire-loving native reptiles known as salamanders and return to the settlement with its body.
During this final challenge, Vulkan slew a gargantuan beast, but upon his return journey the ground opened up beneath him and a torrent lava surged up to engulf him.
With one hand clinging to a rock and the other gripping the tail of his huge prize, Vulkan hung perilously over the surging lava, his mighty strength seeping away after the many days of trials. Only by abandoning his trophy could Vulkan save himself, yet he refused to do so, even in the face of death.
Then, the stranger appeared before him, but his path was blocked by yet another lava channel. Vulkan saw that the stranger dragged behind him a prize even greater than his own, the body of the largest salamander ever seen, which he cast into the lava to form a bridge.
A moment later, the stranger took Vulkan's hand and lifted the Primarch and his prize straight up, saving him from death. Upon their return to the settlement the elders declared Vulkan the winner of the contest, for the stranger had returned from the hunt empty-handed.
But it was not the stranger who declared his eternal fealty, but the Primarch who did so, going down on one knee and declaring that a man who valued another's life over his own victory was a man worth serving. In that moment, the stranger cast off His disguise and all could see Him for what He truly was, the Master of Mankind, come to Nocturne to find His son and to reunite its people with the rest of Humanity.
Vulkan assumed the mantle of Primarch of the XVIII Legion, thereafter called the Salamanders. Recruiting from the hardy men of Nocturne, the Legion soon became known for the strength, courage, and honour of its Battle-Brothers, as well as the skills with which they fashioned their weapons of war.
But the age of glory was not to last long, for along with the Iron Hands and the Raven Guard, the Salamanders were deceived by Horus into taking their place amongst the doomed first wave of Loyalist Space Marine Legions at Istvaan V, where they were decimated first by the Traitors' defences and then by the treachery of the Legions forming the second wave.
The Salamanders are known to have suffered tragic losses at Istvaan V as one of the so-called "Shattered Legions", though sufficient numbers escaped to save the Legion from extinction. Records of this age are incomplete at best, and little of the Salamanders' actions or the deeds of their Primarch are preserved. The events immediately following the galactic civil war are even more obscured and perhaps known only to the taciturn masters of the Salamanders Librarius.
The XVIII Legion appears to have sired no immediate successors, and it is likely that their numbers were so depleted by the events of the Istvaan V Drop Site Massacre that it was not possible to divide it into Chapters.
Several Chapters created much later in subsequent Foundings may share the genetic inheritance of the Salamanders, but no evidence exists of any Second Founding Successor Chapters having been sired.
The extent to which the dictates of the Codex Astartes were adhered to in the aftermath of the break-up of the old Legions varied much, and the Salamanders appear to have obeyed it in some respects, while ignoring it in others.
The fielding of only seven, over-strength companies by the Chapter is one example of this, though in other respects the Chapter is largely compliant with Roboute Guilliman's tome. The ultimate fate of the Salamanders' Primarch is a matter of much conjecture, for he disappeared many years after the Horus Heresy.
Some sources state that Vulkan led his Chapter for three entire standard millennia before he departed on some mission he never declared to the Imperium at large, though scant evidence of any of his deeds throughout that age remain. The tale is made all the more mysterious by the fact that Vulkan appeared to have left behind him a text, called the Tome of Fire, within which is locked the nature and location of seven artefacts the Primarch willed to his Chapter.
Only when all of these "Artefacts of Vulkan" are recovered, as five now have been, will Vulkan judge the Salamanders sufficiently tempered to have passed the ultimate contest. Then, so the legend states, he shall return to lead the Salamanders in the final war against the enemies of Humanity.
Planet Nocturne
Nocturne is the homeworld of the Salamanders Space Marine Chapter located in the Segmentum Ultima of the Imperium of Man and it is usually classified by the Imperial Administratum as both a Feudal World and a Death World.
As a result of the tectonic stresses produced by the gravitational pull of its overlarge satellite Prometheus, there are vast chains of volcanoes scattered across the planet's surface and frequent earthquakes, destroying what little the Nocturnean people have built above ground and forcing them to build their habitations in vast subterranean holds. The constant volcanic eruptions have swaddled the world in an ever-present cloak of dust and ash that obscures most sunlight at the surface.
The Salamanders have built their fortress-monastery on Prometheus, Nocturne's massive moon. The Salamanders have a much closer relationship with their homeworld's people than is common among the Adeptus Astartes, and they continue to interact quite closely with their own families and clans throughout their lives. As a result, the Salamanders have also developed a remarkable concern for protecting the lives of the Emperor's subjects and will make strenuous efforts to prevent civilian casualties on the battlefield.
When not at war, the Salamanders prefer to live among the people of Nocturne and Prometheus, and usually serve as the leaders of a Nocturnean settlement. Once every 15 Terran years (1 Nocturnean year), the two worlds approach so closely that Nocturne is almost torn to pieces by the resulting gravitic stresses. This is called the "Time of Trial" by the Nocturnean people.
Vast tidal waves crash across the seas, thousands of volcanoes explode, their ash and fumes further blotting out the weak haze from the sun of Nocturne while powerful earthquakes constantly ravage the land. All life is sent reeling, towns collapse and people die with heartbreaking regularity. Then, a terrible winter sets in for the next quarter of a Nocturnean year. The young freeze and most, if not all, of the native reptilian livestock dies, unable to withstand the extreme cold as they had the heat.
One of the largest volcanic mountains on Nocturne is named Mount Deathfire. This is where the most massive of the great fire-resistant reptiles called salamanders who are common on Nocturne live, and they are known as fire drakes. They are huge, fire-breathing beasts, and one was killed each by the Emperor of Mankind and the Primarch Vulkan during the legendary contests held between the two ten millennia ago when the Emperor rediscovered His son.
This world may seem a strange place for humans to live and even thrive, but the Nocturnean people have been moulded both physically and mentally into stronger and more resilient forms by this adversity. The Time of Trial also brings great rewards. Rich veins of gems and strategic metals are revealed, large enough to be mined by the Nocturnean clans to pay for new livestock and food on the Imperium's interplanetary markets.
The Salamanders and other residents of Nocturne live in giant underground Sanctuary Cities, the largest of which is called Hesiod and which tend to be home to a single one of the Nocturnean people's clans. Each Salamanders company is usually recruited entirely from one of these clan settlements so that the Battle-Brothers of a company will share their clan as well as Chapter loyalties and will also feel strongly connected to their homeworld's common people. The Salamanders either live on Prometheus in the fortress-monastery or live among the people on Nocturne, where they usually serve as the leaders of the clan settlements that dominate the relatively small Nocturnean population of 15 million people.
Recruitment for the Salamanders starts early on Nocturne, at the ages of 6 or 7 Terran years. Those selected as Aspirants are first apprenticed to a Salamanders Astartes who will be their mentor and guide through the process and then taught the ancient ways of the forge. As their training progresses they are required to perform the same trials as Vulkan did in his competition with the Emperor, culminating in the capture of a great salamander reptile on the slopes of Mount Deathfire. Those Aspirants who survive to complete all of these tasks are taken for biological enhancement and implantation of the Chapter's gene-seed at the Salamanders' fortress-monastery on the moon of Prometheus.
It should be noted that the people of Nocturne have been slightly mutated by their constant exposure to the high levels of radioactivity present on their world due to the radioactive rare earth elements often uncovered by the extreme volcanism. They have developed deep ebony skins, regardless of their original ethnicities, and the irises of their eyes now glow red in the darkness because they developed over many generations the ability to see in the infrared levels of the electromagnetic spectrum to deal with the constant volcanic pollution that blocks out their world's sunlight.
These same physical characteristics are also present in every Salamanders Space Marine. The Imperium's Ecclesiarchy does not consider these mutations heretical as the Salamanders and the Nocturneans themselves have always been among the most staunchly loyal to the Emperor of the Space Marine Chapters. The Promethean Cult prevalent on the world is an accepted variant of the Imperial Cult.
The creatures and soldiers all smashed burned and froze Kardiak all over the place.

Me: Time for a Teen Titans Final Smash Barrage!
Robin: Lets do it!
Speedy: With you all the way Robin!
?: (Russian Accent) Let me help too.
A man came out and it was Red Star!
Red Star was formerly a young recruit in the Russian armed forces. Originally frail and weak, his strength and muscular physique were bestowed to him in a government experiment for creating super-soldiers, but his powers were fueled by intense and dangerous radiation, which would sometimes go berserk under emotional stress. For this reason Red Star had been living in voluntary exile in an abandoned Siberian nuclear power plant, where he used the facilities to funnel his excess radiation into water capsules whenever his frustration and, therefore, the energy would build up too much. A leakage in the containment unit made the radiation melt up the snow outside, which seeped into a pond and eventually created a plasma monster which wreaked havoc on the surrounding settlements, acting out Red Star's latent resentments. Red Star got blamed for the creature's actions, partly because of the destruction he had inadvertently caused when his powers went berserk the first time.
In response to the damage the plasma creature was causing, the Teen Titans began pursuing it. After chasing it into a snowstorm, Starfire succumbed to the temperature extremes but was found by Red Star before she froze to death. Encouraged by Starfire to embrace his power instead of fighting it back, Red Star joined the Titans, fought the creature and destroyed it by pumping it full with an overdose of radioactive energy. However, the energy within his body thus rose to uncontrollable levels, and he asked Starfire to take him into space, where his power was released in a gigantic explosion. Before his departure, however, the Titans made Red Star an honorary member, and his fellow people, who have previously shunned and feared him, now viewed him as a hero.
Red Star made a minor cameo in "Lightspeed". The H.I.V.E. Five were stopped by an unknown speedster when they were trying to rob a museum. Back at their base, Jinx and Gizmo were scrolling through Honorary Titans, trying to make a match. Red Star was the last Titan depicted on the screen.
Red Star inexplicably reappeared alongside Starfire and Bumblebee in the headquarters of the Brotherhood of Evil to help the Titans fight the assembled supervillains. His reappearance remains unexplained, although in "Snowblind" it was hinted that the explosion was a catalyst to his gaining full control of his powers. He was seen slamming Mammoth into a wall and battling Steamroller. After their victory, Red Star socialized with the other Titans in Titans Tower and participated in the recapture of Doctor Light.
Me: Captain Leonid Constantinovich Kovar A.K.A. Red Star. It's an honor to meet you.
Red Star: Pleasure to meet you too J.D.
Me: Starfire told me a lot about you and how you helped Robin and the Titans in the past. Especially during the wars with the Brotherhood of Evil.
Red Star: It was an honor to help out the Titans.
Me: It's great to have one of the Titans from our friends in Russia help out.
Red Star: Thank you J.D. Lets see how this monster likes this.

Me: Awesome battle.
Lynn: It sure was.
King Hiss: (to Lynn) So, I heard that you were drinking in the Iceberg Lounge.
Lynn: (sighs) I was. But that was only because I was depressed about my evil self.
Speedy: And who can blame her?
Webstor: Look, don't worry about it. As long as you stay true to yourself, you'll never become like dark self.
Lynn: (smiles) You're right. Thanks, guys.
Rich Texan: No problem, little lady!
The Masters of Evil teleport out.
Me: Well that's another Teen Titans enemy destroyed.

Me: That's right.
We got back to our routines.
THE END
Another Teen Titans Villain destroyed and done.
Kardiak from the episode Spellbound was the weirdest villain I've ever seen in the series and it was weird that he looked like a giant mechanical beating heart. Awesome. NicoChan11 and JediAvatarOfShinobi gave me the ideas for this one. Thanks guys. Next up is a land version of the SpongeBob episode My Leg and get ready to laugh as Jackie gets her leg broken more times than anyone.
See you all tomorrow.
